Subject: Nick Lachey: My Everything-54

Hey guys, I'm back!

NEWSFLASH: Have all of you been watching: Newlyweds:
Nick and Jessica?"

If you haven't, you really should tune in to it. It
coms on MTV at 10:30 EST on Tuesdays as far as I know.
The newest episode was last tuesday at 10:30p.m. It's
a half hour series. I don't know what I think of it
right now, but hey, any excuse to see Nick Lachey on
tv is good enough for me, lol.

I'm writing again, but don't expect the chapters to be
out soon. I've reached a very difficult area in the
story and in order to keep it going, I need to make
sure that it makes sense this time around.

 Now on with the story.

First of all, let me just say that this is my first
time writing any kind of fiction like this.

DISCLAIMER: This is a work of total fiction and is not
meant to imply anything about the sexualities of Nick
and Drew Lachey or anyone else mentioned in this
story.

If you are too young to read this, or if Homosexuality
offends you, then please don't continue any further
and leave.

NEWSFLASH: To those of you who don't already know,
Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, in real life, have
reconciled and are now husband and wife. I wish them
all the best with their marriage and hope they live a
long and happy life together.

If you want details about their wedding, check out the
98 Degrees Official Website at www.98degrees.com.

Other 98 Degrees stories I'd like to recommend are.

Now, I"ll let you get on with the story.

Previously on "My Everything".....

Jessica's eyes welled up with tears. She knew she was
coming to the part which broke her heart.

"Nick said he was going to leave for a while and he
said that he wasn't sure when he would be back. But I
didn't know that he was planning to just up and leave
town without a word." She continued. "And when he
picked up Nicole and said goodbye to her, he looked
like he was about to lose it. Then he pulled me in
with them and hugged us both like it was for the last
time."

"Did he say anything that might give us a clue about
where he was headed?" Drew asked.

Jessica shook her head.

"All he said before he left is to take care of Nicole
and that he loves us both. Then he got in his car and
took off."

And I just stood there in shock. I'd never seen Nick
so emotional like that before. Then when I realized
that there was something wrong, it was already too
late to go after him. I couldn't leave Nicole."

"Of course not." Drew said, then frowned. "By the way,
where is that cute little niece of mine anyway?"

"She's with your mom." Jessica told him. "I took her
over a while ago before you guys landed. I didn't want
her to see me like this. Besides, I thought that we
needed to talk without any interruptions. And I was
right considering the way I yelled at you and slapped
you a few moments ago."

"It's alright, Jessica." Drew said. "You're forgiven.
But I do feel partially responsible for Nick's
disappearing like that."

"Drew, don't blame yourself." Jessica said, her tone
starting to sound angry again. "It's not your fault.
It's Sean fault that my husband is gone. If Sean
hadn't have thrown the details of something so private
in my husband's face, I think he'd still be here right
now. He wouldn't have taken off."

"Jessica, come on." Danny said, coming to Sean's
defense. "Sean didn't know that Nick would take off.
If he had, he probably wouldn't have did what he did."

"DON"T DEFEND HIM, DANNY!" Jessica shouted. "I KNOW
YOU STILL CONSIDER YOURSELF HIS FRIEND, BUT TRUST ME,
HE DOESN"T DESERVE YOU OR YOUR FRIENDSHIP! HE IS A
SORRY EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING! LOOK WHAT HE'S DONE TO
ME AND NICK, HE'S TORN US APART!"

Jessica wiped at the tears that where streaming down
her face. Her hands were trembling from anger.

"I SWEAR IF I EVER GET MY HANDS ON HIM, I WILL KILL
HIS SORRY ASS!" She screamed.

"THE HELL YOU WILL!!" A familiar voice shouted out.

Jessica, Kandi, and the rest of the guys all whipped
around to face the owner of that voice.

**********
CHAPTER 54
**********

Everyone's eyes widened when they saw who the owner of
the voice was.

Sean?! Drew stuttered in surprise.

"Yeah, Drew, it's me. I said, an angry frown on my
face as I shut the door behind me, after entering the
house. "You didn't expect to see me again, did you?"

Drew was at such a loss for words that he didn't know
what to say. But Jessica did.

"You have a hell of alot of nerve showing your face
here after what you've done to me and my family!"
Jessica said, angrily.

My eyes traveled from Drew to Jessica and I saw just
how angry she was. But I was in no mood to fight with
her.

"That's why I'm here, Jessica." I told her. "I thought
I'd fly back to Los Angeles to help you and the guys
find Nick and bring him back home."

Jessica rolled her eyes and shook her head as she
turned away.

"We don't need your help, Sean." She said, coldly. "We
are all perfectly capable of finding Nick on our own.
Besides, you're the one who caused Nick to leave."

Now, I was getting mad. I refused to take any blame
for Nick's actions since I didn't force Nick to take
off.

"Don't you even think of going there, Jessica!" I
said, harshly. "I didn't force Nick to leave. He did
that all on his own, unfortunately for you!"

"Alright, you two." Jeff said, coming to stand in
between Jessica and me to make sure that there would
be no blood shed any time soon. "Calm down. We don't
need to get into a shouting match here."

"Who's shouting? I asked, sarcastically, then added.
"I didn't raise my voice. Jessica's the one out of
control as usual."

"Why-" Jessica, started, with her hand up in the air
like she was going to go for my throat. But then she
put her arms down and just glared at me.

"Sean, what are you doing here anyway?" Drew suddenly
asked. "I get the feeling that you weren't expecting
to come here."

I looked Drew in the eyes and nodded.

"I didn't come to Los Angeles to see you guys,
originally. I came to hang out with Ben Affleck for
the weekend and to make up for lost time and see if we
could get our friendship back." I told Drew.

"Oh, I see." Drew said, then turned away. "So, Ben
gets to be your first priority over us, huh?"

I gave Drew a disappointed look.

"Drew, please don't be like that." I said to him. "You
know that's not true."

He turned around and looked me in the eyes.

"How can you say that?" He asked me, dryly. "You
didn't exactly give me or the rest of us first
priority when you turned down my offer for us all to
try again at being friends and to get along."

I frowned, wondering just how dense Drew was at that
moment.

"Damn it, Drew!" I said, running my hand through my
hair, in frustration. "Don't you understand that it's
not that easy for me? I can't just forgive and forget
what you guys did to me, just like that. So forgive me
if I can't trust you guys just yet after they way you
all disowned me and threw me out on the street."

"Sean, don't be so dramatic, hon." Kandi said. "We're
not proud of that, but we are willing to give you
another chance. You're just too stubborn to let all of
that hurt go and see that we never meant to hurt you."

I was shocked that Kandi could call me stubborn and
not understand why.

"Kandi, do you know how hard it is for me just to
stand here and look at you guys without feeling all
that anger come back again?" I asker her. "You guys
know that I've been in hell these last few years. It
took me over a year to recover and to start living
again. I'd lost my will to live and thank god, Jake,
saved me from that suicide attempt or I'd really have
been pathetic."

"You already are pathetic!" Jessica snarled.

"You'd better watch your mouth, girl!" I warned her.
"It's gonna get you in trouble if you keep it up!"

"Fuck you!" Jessica sneered.

Everyone looked at her in total shock, including
myself. Jessica never used the "F" word and she always
would reprimand Nick when he would say it since she
didn't like it when he said it. This just proved the
she was beyond pissed off."

"NO THANKS, I'D RATHER FUCK YOUR HUSBAND!!!" I
screamed at her.

That did it. I heard everyone gasp in shock at what
I'd said and I saw Jessica's mouth open in shock, but
as soon as it sunk in what'd I'd said, she lunged for
me so fast she caught Jeff, who was still standing
between us, off guard.

"THAT'S IT, SEAN!" Jessica bellowed, as she tried to
grab me, just before Jeff got ahold of her. "YOU GET
THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE! AND YOU STAY THE HELL AWAY
FROM ME AND MY FAMILY! AND MOST ESPECIALLY, MY
HUSBAND!!!"

"Whoa, Jessica, take it easy!" Jeff shouted, trying to
calm her down, even as she struggled against his
strong hold.

"SOMEONE GET HIS FUCKING ASS OUT OF HERE!" Jessica
screamed.

At the same moment Jessica started screaming, I felt
someone grab my arm. In a matter of seconds, I was
outside. I turned around and jerked my arm away from
the person who had grabbed it: Drew.

"What the hell were you thinking saying that, Sean?"
Drew asked me, with an angry look on his face.

I shook my head, still in shock.

"Drew, I'm just as shocked as you are that it came out
like that." I told him.

And it was the truth. that outburst had come out of my
mouth before I'd even thought of it. But it shouldn't
have surprised me all that much. When you get upset
like that, anything can come out that you don't mean
to say. I just hoped that Drew would buy it."

Drew looked at me a moment and saw the stunned look
was still on my face, so he nodded.

"Ok, I guess I believe you." He said, quietly. "But
whether you meant to say that or not, you said it. And
it's made things worse for Jessica. I think it might
be best if you left now. Let us deal with the
situation."

I nodded in agreement.

"I guess you're right, Drew." I murmured, softly. "I
guess I won't be too much help now, huh?"

Drew's eyes shifted down to the floor, giving me all
the answers I needed, without the words.

"You don't have to say anything, Drew." I said to him.
"I already know what the answer is."

And with those words said, I turned to leave. I
started walking toward the car.

"Sean, wait!"

I turned around to see Danny come out of the house
behind me, with Jeff and Justin right behind him.

"What is it, Danny?" I asked him, curiously.

Danny walked up to me and stood in front of me.

"What's happened to us, man?" He asked me. "We used to
be so close. Now we don't even talk to each other
anymore. "Where did we go wrong?"

I looked at him, coldly.

"You know how it happened and where it went wrong." I
replied. "I don't need to go through it again."

Danny just stood there, looking at me, his face
showing that there was alot of turmoil going on within
him.

"Well, I think I should go." I said. "Good-bye."

As I turned away once again, I felt Danny's hand grab
mine and hold it. Before I turned around, I heard him
speak.

"I would give anything to have you back in my life
again, Sean." I heard him say. "Whatever it is that I
have to do, please just tell me and I'll do it. I just
want you back."

I turned around and looked him in the eyes. I could
see the pain and lonliness that was within them. But
was it enough to win him any sympathy from me?

"I want my best friend back." Danny said again. He
sounded like he was ready to cry. But I was not about
to cry with him.

I stood there, looking at Danny for a moment. Then I
spoke, with no emotion in my face.

"Your best friend is dead. He died two years ago."

Danny's face crumpled and as I watched, he bit his lip
to keep from sobbing, but that didn't stop the tears I
saw in his eyes from falling.

Besides, Jeff is your best friend now." I told him.
"You're better off without me, anyway. I'm sorry,
Danny."

"Are you really?" Jeff said from behind Danny. He
wasn't smiling either. He just looked angry.

"Yes, I am." I told him. "I didn't want any of this.
But you all brought this on yourselves."

"And now, it's official." Danny said, his voice
cracking. "I've lost my best friend for good."

He turned away from me and walked over to the steps
and sat down on them, near Jeff's feet.

"Oh god, Jeff." Danny said, as he buried his face in
his hands. "How am I gonna go on without him? How am I
gonna go on?"

Jeff knelt down beside Danny and pulled him close to
comfort him. Jeff looked back at me, his expression
full of confusion and hurt, and shook his head in
defeat.

Seeing Danny in pain was too much for Drew to bear and
he turned back to me, his facial expressions matching
Jeff's."

"You know, I look at you right now and I don't even
know who you are anymore." Drew said, a hint of
sadness in his voice. "Whoever this is is not the man
I fell in love with, Not the man I shared my soul with
when I made love to him, which was a mistake that I
will have to learn to live with. And is not a man that
I want to know, either. Now, please leave and don't
bother coming back. You're no longer welcome to the
house. And the rest of us will have absolutely nothing
to do with you from this day forward.

I stood there, taking in every word he said, my
emotions closed off.

Drew continued.

"I just hope that one day you'll come to understand my
love for my friends, your ex-best friend, and my
family, because that's the only reason I'm doing
this."

He turned and headed towards the house. When he got to
the steps, where Danny and Jeff were sitting, he
turned back and looked at me one last time.

"Good-bye Sean." He said, the tone in his voice,
indicating that he had given up on me and was ready to
commit to a future without me.

With those last words, he walked up the steps and into
the house and never once looked back.

Jeff and Danny got up too and Jeff entered the house.
Before Danny went in, he turned and looked back at me,
his face all serious. I looked right back.

We stood there for what seemed like an eternity, but
in reality it was only for a minute. Then he said his
final words:

"I give up." He said, his voice monotone. "If you
don't want to try, or are not interested in
trying..........

My forehead crinkled, as my face started to show the
first signs of emotion since I'd arrived there.

"Then maybe it's time I stop." Danny finished.

And with that said, he opened the door and walked into
the house, leaving me standing there in the yard,
alone.

I turned around and walked over to my car and got in
it. As I started the ignition, I looked up one last
time at the house where I'd once lived and shared alot
of great memories with as well.

I drove away and headed for Ben's place.

*******************************************************
BACK INSIDE THE LACHEY HOUSE..........

Is Sean gone?" Kandi asked, as Drew, Jeff, and Danny
walked into the living room.

"Yes." Drew said. "And this time he's gone for good."

Justin didn't say anything, he just nodded.

"Well, you guys, I'm exhausted, so I'm going to turn
in." Danny said, as he headed for the stairs.

"Are you alright, Danny?" Jessica asked him, concern
showing in her face.

"I will be fine." Danny said. "In time. Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Danny." Drew said, quietly.

Danny started going up the stairs to one of the guest
bedrooms. halfway up, he turned around.

"Jeff, are you coming?" He asked.

"I'll be up in a minute, baby." Jeff said, lovingly.
"Until then, keep that bed warm for me."

Danny smiled widely for the first time that night.

"You bet I will, sexy."

He then went upstairs to the bedroom, leaving Jeff
downstairs with everyone else.

"Keep an eye on him, Jeff." Justin said. "Sean's
coldness really did him in this time."

"Justin's right, Jeff." Drew said. "He might go into a
depression like you did after the way Danny treated
you all those years ago."

Jeff could see that everyone was serious about this
and that had him worried.

"Well, I'm going to go up and join Danny now." Jeff
said.

Everyone else bid him goodnight and Jeff went upstairs
to bed.

"Are you sure Danny really needs to be kept an eye on?
Jessica asked Kandi and Justin and Drew, who were
sitting nearby. "He seems to be strong enough to
handle anything."

"Yes, but even he has his limits, honey." Kandi said.
"He could be more vulnerable than any of us know right
now."

"I just hope Danny realizes that he is better off
without Sean in his life if Sean could treat him like
that." Drew said.

"Well, I think we all need to get some shuteye now."
Jessica suggested, as she stifled a yawn.

Everyone else agreed with Jessica and headed off to
their bedrooms.

*******************************************************
BEN'S HOUSE.............

I pulled into Ben's driveway and shut off the
ignition. I climbed out of the car and locked it.
Shutting the doors behind me, I walked up to his door
and rang the doorbell.

The door opened and there was Ben, dressed in black
cargo pants and a nice white dress shirt. When he saw
me, he did a double take.

"Sean?!" He asked, his eyes wide.

"Yep, it's me. In the flesh." I said, as I greeted
him. "Now, do I get a hug?"

Ben leaned forward and grabbed me up into a bone
crushing hug.

"How have you been doing lately, Sean?" Ben asked me.

I was suddenly feeling very tired and I wasn't gonna
stay awake much longer.

"Ben, would it be alright if we caught up tommorrow?"
I asked him. I'm so exhausted right now, I just want
to get some sleep."

"Sure." He said, stepping aside to let me in. He told
me to go upstairs and get comfortable while he went to
get sheets and blankets for the bed.

I walked into the little room and sat down on the bed,
thinking about Drew's earlier conversation with me.

"Could Drew be right?" I asked myself. "Could I really
not be who I used to be?"

I laid down on the bed as I waited for Ben to bring
the blankets.

I must really have been exhausted, because I was
asleep before my head even hit the pillow.

TBC.......?

Well that's it for this installment. I will work on
the next one as soon as I can.

"What happens next?" Oh, if you only knew!"
