Subject: nick and ashley-chapter 8

DISCLAIMER: I don't know O-town and am not implying anything. I am in now
way affiliated with them or J records or MTV or ABC or anything. The only
thing I have remotely common with these boys is the fact that Ashley Parker
Angel and I were born on the exact same day.


FIRST THINGS FIRST: Thank you to everyone for the emails. You're all
awesome.  Thanks to Johnnie, my number one fan, for being a good support

Nick and Ashley-Chapter Eight


The streets of New York was filled with people rushing back and forth to
their homes, jobs and any other destination that made New York a city that
never slept.  It had been a week since the O-town/Backstreet tour had
finished up the east coast section of the tour and moved up to the
Northeast for 2 shows in New York, one in New Jersey, one in Boston and
finally one in Rhode Island.. The ground was lightly coated with about 2
inches of snow. Snowball fights had ensued at many pit stops along the way
due to the fact that snow was not a commodity usually come across for bands
based out of Orlando, Florida.

The boys of O-town had extra work to do in New York. TRL had called up Lou
Pearlman and asked them to drop in and help Carson Daly host the show for a
segment.  This was a great chance to promote the tour even further, which
was now being dubbed as the "Passing The Torch" Tour due to the
collaboration of both bands from the concert in North Carolina.

The boys had about another 30 minutes before they had to catch the limo to
the TRL studios in Times Square. The boys enjoyed the free time, especially
Nick and Ashley.  Ashley lay on his back on the queen size hotel bed,
completely naked. Nick was not exactly on top of him but just a little
lower. Nick worked very quickly as his lips were completely wrapped around
Ashley's hard penis. Nick was jacking himself off at the same time as he
was giving Ashley an amazing blowjob. A great idea popped into his head and

"That was amazing Nick." Ashley said.

"I know. I don't think there's a couple in the world that can rival us when
we fool around." Nick said proudly.

"Now I know why I keep you around." Ashley said sarcastically

"Hey! That's not funny" Nick said pretending to be hurt.

"Aww is my Nicky upset?" Ashley said in a baby voice

"You owe me after that comment" Nick said

Ashley gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

"Ok you're forgiven" Nick said with a giddy smile on his face like a
schoolgirl

"Nick...there's something I wanna talk to you about." Ashley said as he
started biting his nails.

"Uh oh...you're biting your nails. That means you're nervous," Nick said.

"You noticed that?" Ashley asked

"Of course I did. What's on your mind?" Nick asked

"I need to tell you something." Ashley said

"Is it something bad?" Nick asked

"No, it's just something hard to say." Ashley explained as he looked at his
feet.

Nick leaned over to Ashley and lifted his chin up with his fingers. He
planted a deep kiss on his lips and said "Ash...you can tell me
anything...you know that."

"Nicky, you just made it ten times easier for me to tell you I love you."
Ashley said with a smile on his face.

"Awww, I love you too Ash." Nick replied as he pulled Ashley into a big
hug.  They pulled out and began to kiss through smiles.

"I know it may be a little early in the relationship but these past few
weeks have been great. I've never been happier and I know it all has to do
with you. I can't deny these feelings." Ashley said

"I feel the same way Ash." Nick replied.

After both men declared their love for each other they laid on the bed just
holding each other until it was time for Ashley to go to the TRL studio.
The 5 boys of O-town piled into the limo. Ashley took a window seat and
began to look out to the cold, wintry day.

"Can you believe it's winter already?" Dan asked a rhetorical question to
all of his band mates.

"Yeah it came up real quick this year." Erik replied

"Christmas is only a week away. I love that holiday." Dan continued with
the conversation.

Ashley still had yet to go shopping for Nick. He looked around the limo to
see what everyone was up to and noticed that Jacob was also staring out his
window.

'He's been weird lately. I should talk to him and see what's up.' Ashley
thought to himself.

"Did you guys go shopping yet for presents?" Ashley asked everyone.

Erik, Dan and Trevor all replied saying that they had but Jacob said that
he hadn't gotten around to it yet so Ashley saw the perfect opportunity to
kill two birds with one stone.

"Hey Jake, how about we go shopping together tonight since we don't have
another show until tomorrow." Ashley asked

"That'd be great Ash." Jacob replied also seeing an opportunity to possibly
have that long awaited talk he had been trying to have with him. Ashley
used the nickname "Jake", which he only used when he wanted to really get
through to him.

The limos pulled up to the TRL Studios in Times Square and all the boys
loaded into the back door. After makeup preparations and the usual stuff
before an appearance they found themselves on stage being interviewed by
Carson Daly.

"Hey guys it's great to have you back and I know our fans are happy to have
you here again." Carson said awaiting the predictable crowd to go crazy
which is exactly what happened.

"Thanks a lot Carson. Things have changed a little since the last time we
were here huh?"  Ashley said into his microphone.

"That's true." Carson said "The last time you were here was right after you
were signed by Clive Davis to J records. How is everything working out for
you?"

"Everything's great. We couldn't ask for better management then Clive. He's
the man" Jacob said.

"That's awesome. So you guys have a show tomorrow night at MSG right?"
Carson asked the boys. (For those of you not familiar with the New York
area, MSG stands for Madison Square Garden)

"Yeah, we're hittin' up the World's Most Famous Arena if ya know what I'm
sayin'" Erik said with pride.

"Erik, you're from New York right?" Carson asked him.

"You got it. I'm back home and we're gonna show my Cali boys here how NYC
does it right?" Erik said playing to the crowd.

"That's great. So it says here that you guys are doing two shows at MSG,
one at the Meadowlands and then you get some time off for Christmas and
then you go up to Boston for a show and Providence for one and then come
back here for MTV's New Year's Eve spectacular." Carson said.

"Yeah we heard you guys were having some kind of party here or something on
New Year's so we're gonna stop in."  Trevor said sarcastically

"That's great...sounds like a busy week. I'm sure you guys can handle it
though, and if you don't you're on tour with the Backstreet Boys so if you
need any pointers I'm sure they can help you out." Carson said.

"Yeah BSB has been a big help. They've been 5 great hosts and we're
learning a lot from them." Dan said.

"I hear you guys are even teaching them a few things. This tour has been
dubbed the "Passing the Torch" Tour by the media. How do you guys feel
about that?"  Carson asked

"We're honestly honored and flattered that they would consider us in such
high standings." Ashley said. "They look to us to carry that torch that
they want to pass to us and I think that we can take it and run with it and
carry the pop genre into the next year."

"Well put guys. Alright boys we gotta get to the next video, which
appropriately enough is you guys with "We Fit Together" at number 1 on the
countdown." Carson said.

The guys each gave Carson a hug and then signed some autographs for some
randomly picked lucky fans. The boys jumped back into the limos and went
back to the hotel.

"You wanna go now Ash?" Jacob asked as they got out of the limos.

"Umm sure, let me just call Nick and tell him where I'm going" Ashley
replied.

"Sure, sure gotta check in with the wife. I see how it is." Jacob joked
with him.

Ashley gave Jacob a punch in the arm and took out his cell phone.

After about 2 rings Nick picked up his cell and saw that it was Ashley on
the caller ID.

"Hey Ash how was the show?" Nick asked excitedly.

"Hey baby, it was good. Me and Jacob are gonna go around and do some
Christmas shopping since we're in New York." Ashley said.

"Ok, call me when you guys get back. By the way, no one calls it New York
if you're actually here. Call it "the city"." Nick suggested.

"Haha, thanks Mr. Tour Guide. I thought you were from Florida." Ashley said
laughing.

"I am but don't forget I was born in Jamestown, NY." Nick said

"Ok Ok I'll give you a call when we get back. Love you. Bye" Ashley said
hanging up the phone after exchanging departing formalities with his
boyfriend.

"That was gross...cute but gross." Jacob said still making fun of his
friend.

"Shutup...let's go" Ashley said as they went outside and hailed a cab and
asked to go to the "village" section of the city since Nick told him that
was a good shopping part.

The first thing the boys bought were hats since they needed them anyway to
shield from being noticed, but also due to the fact that there's some type
of obsession with 20-25 year old men and hats. There was no way to explain
this obsession yet no one in the world seemed to be complaining as these
two fine specimens made the hat look sexy.

They walked all around downtown New York, going in and out of stores,
picking up gifts for their parents, friends, band mates and of course
significant others if the case applied.

They came upon a Zales jewelry store and Ashley pulled Jacob into it.

"I wanna get something special for Nick." Ashley said

Jacob was about to make gagging noises until Ashley covered his mouth with
his hand and Jacob took the hint to drop the joke.

Ashley walked inside and went towards the counter as he already had an idea
in his head of what to get Nick.

Ashley looked up to the clerk who was now standing there with her mouth
completely wide open as a boy that she idolized over was now standing
directly in front of her asking for her to open the case and look at a gold
necklace.

"Hi...ummm Katie?" Ashley said as he read her nametag. "Do you think you
could help me please?"

The girl just stood there staring at him.

"Katie, I'll be honest with you. I need to make some purchases here. If you
help me then Jacob and I will be happy to take pictures and sign autographs
for you afterwards. I need your help now though, ok?" Ashley asked her
leveling with the girl.

"Ok" The girl said with a smile that may never be removed.

"Can you show me this gold necklace right here?" Ashley asked.

"Sure...wow that's beautiful. Who's it for?" Katie asked.

"It's for my bo...it's for my brother" Ashley covered for himself

"Lucky guy" Katie commented.

"Yeah." Ashley said with a sigh.

Ashley loved the necklace and had a feeling that Nick would love it too. He
settled on the 18-inch length seeing as Nick was a tall boy. They made the
buy, which made Ashley feel ten times better and also made him feel like a
monkey was let off his back.

"Nice buy Ash." Jacob commented as they walked out of the store.

"Thanks Jake." Ashley replied.

"You ever been to New York?" Jacob asked his friend

"Once or twice for a show with you guys but never walked around that much."
Ashley said

"Me neither." Jacob said. "Isn't there some kind of huge tree or something
in here?"

"Haha yeah Nick was telling me about
it...Rock...Rockaway...Rockefeller...that's it Rockefeller Center."
Ashley said.

"Awesome...that'll give us a place to talk" Jacob said.

"Sounds great." Ashley said as he hailed a cab

"Rockefeller Center please" Jacob said as they both got in the cab.

With the sound of that destination the Cab driver began to laugh.  "You
boys ain't from around here huh?" the cabby said in a very thick Brooklyn
accent.

"No why?" Ashley asked.

"Go down a block, take a left at Paramount plaza and you're there." The
cabby said with a smile on his face.

Two embarrassed members of O-town stepped out of the cab and started
walking.  They came up to the ice rink that was directly beneath a
humongous tree that the likes of only residents from the Tri-State area are
used to every Christmas.

"Wow that's awesome." Jacob said as he stared up at the giant tree that was
now covered in red, white and blue lights to commemorate the remembrance of
September 11.

"Let's go catch some dinner and talk." Ashley said as they headed for a
nearby Friday's.

They walked in and got a small table near the window semi-out of the view
of most people. They ordered their food and began conversation.

"Alright Jake, I know there's something wrong. You've been kinda out of it
the past few days...what's the matter?" Ashley asked bluntly.

"I don't know Ash, today was great. I really enjoyed it. I just feel like
we don't do it enough, ya know what I'm sayin?" Jacob asked

"Yeah I noticed things between the guys have been drifting a little" Ashley
said

"That's what I'm saying, we just need to get it tighter...especially with
the rest of the tour." Jacob said.

"Jake you know you'll always be my bro." Ashley said confidently.

"Thanks Ash, it really means a lot coming from you" Jacob said genuinely.

"There's something else isn't there?" Ashley asked

"Yeah, there is...I haven't told this to anyone but you're Ash and I've
always told you everything so I'm gonna keep going with this trust
thing... I'm jealous of you. I see you and Nick and I want something like
that. You guys look so awesome together.  I need that in my life. I need
someone to take care of me." Jacob said

"Jake, she'll come along man...it just takes time." Ashley started

"That's another thing Ash, I don't know if "she" is the proper term to
use."  Jacob said as he looked down at his burger and started to play with
his fries.

"Wow Jake, are u sure?" Ashley asked.

"I don't know that's the thing. How did you know?" Jacob asked

"I just knew. I don't know. I stopped denying my feelings and followed my
heart."  Ashley responded

"I think it's time I did the same," Jacob said.

"I'm here for you if ya need me Jake." Ashley said.

"Thanks Ash. I appreciate it." Jacob said.

Both men reached over the table and gave a quick hug to each other before
finishing their food and heading back to the streets for a cab back to the
hotel.
