Subject: "Nick and Justin" part 47

Hey guys, it's Mike. This is part 47 of Nick and Justin, but also
something just a little bit different. Thank you to everyone who resonded
to my "survey". The results were soooo mixed though, that I decided to kind
of do both. So this section continues with the story right where I left off
last section, but it also tells the story of Nick and Justin meeting and
getting together. Sound confusing? I thought so. Give it a look and tell
me what you think. Send any mail or whatever to Mike at BrwyMilo@aol.com.

The August Boy Band Awards are up and running so everyone vote for
something. I was really happy to be nominated for some stuff, especially
the Reader's Choice Category. That's pretty cool. So thanks to all the
readers and people who nominated, and good luck to all the authors.
Everyone go vote for someone's story. Anyone's. =)

So, this story is all fiction and everything. I don't know these guys...I
haven't slept with these guys...I know nothing of their personal lives other
than what's printed publically, so...unfortunately, this is fiction. Any
questions, send to BrwyMilo@aol.com. On with the story!

                              *****

The room was very dark, a small circular window in the door providing the
only light, save for a few glowing buttons on the various machines located
around the room. Their beeps made it uncomfortable. They never seemed to
diminish, just continue in a steady drone, as if tolling a bell. It was
unnerving. The window overlooked a large tree, it's branches long ago
overgrown. Sirens could be heard in the distance, getting louder by the
second til they reached their destination. It was endless.

Justin shot up in bed, drenched with sweat. Instantly his hand flew to his
back, a gasp escaping his lips as the pain washed over him in waves. He
shut his eyes tight, a few tears invulontarily escaping. He remained where
he was for a moment, waiting for the pain to go away. It never left
completely, but it soon subsided enough for him to chance movement again.
He slowly lowered himself back down, sighing loudly.

'Nightmare,' he thought to himself as he noticed Nick sitting besides his
bed, his body leaning forward and using the mattress as a pillow. 'His back
is going to get as bad as mine if he stays like that,' Justin mused to
himself. He couldn't remember falling asleep, but he could recall his dream
vivadly. It wasn't so much scary as it was....unsettling. There hadn't
been images, just emotions. Loneliness, fear, emptiness. That's what had
startled Justin so much. He hadn't felt such things in so long. Not since
he and Nick had gotten serious about each other. Not since the first day
they met. Justin smiled to himself as he remembered that first day.

										*****

"Curly, will you wake up," a voice said. Justin shifted a bit in his
sleep, but gave no sign of waking. "We're gonna be late." Still Justin
kept his eyes shut, wishing whoever was speaking would go away. "If you
don't get up by the time I count to three, I'm throwing you in a cold
shower." They weren't going away. "one...two...three..."

"What the..." Justin whispered, his eyes still shut. He could vaguely feel
himself being carried. His breathing continued to be slow and rhythmic, the
breath of someone sleeping.

Until the water hit him. Justin's eyes shot open as he yelled. He looked
up and groaned. "Thank you...a lot," he grumbled, reaching for the knob to
make the water hotter.

"Oh no you don't," JC laughed, smacking Justin's hand away. "Not until
your all the way awake."

"I'm awake, I'm awake," Justin yelled, falling out of the tub, wearing only
a pair of boxer shorts. "You're an asshole, you know that."

"Yea, but you love me anyway," JC laughed.

"I sure do," Justin said. "In fact, I think I want to give you a great big
hug right now."

"Don't even think about it," JC said, taking a step back. "It took me
forever to pick out this outfit. You're not going to get it wet now."

"But I want to give you a hug," Justin said, a huge grin on his face.

"I'm warning you," JC said, walking faster.

"Come here big boy," Justin laughed, lunging at him with his arms
outstretched. JC groaned as he felt Justin fall into him.

"You're a dead man Timberlake," JC laughed. "I'm really gonna kill you."

"You and what army," he laughed.

"Me," a voice from behind them said. Justin looked over and turned beat
red.

	"Hi mom," he said slowly.

"What is going on up here," Lynn asked, her hands placed firmly on her
lips, a look of anger spreading across her face.

"We were just fooling around," Justin said, standing up. His hands
instantly fell in front of him, covering the front of his wet boxers.

"Dressed like that? On my floor," Lynn said.

	"Sorry," Justin said.

"It's my fault," JC said quickly. "I was trying to wake him up, but he
wouldn't get out of bed, so I threw him in the shower, and he wanted to get
back at me and get me wet, so..." He looked at Lynn's face, seeing the
indifference written on it. "I'm sorry too," he whispered.

"Sometimes I don't know who acts younger, you guys or Jonathan," Lynn said,
walking back down the stairs.

Justin walked slowly back into his room, picking a towel up off the floor
and wiping himself off. He collapsed down on the bed as soon as he was
done, staring up at the ceiling.

"Can I come in," JC asked from the doorway.

"Of course," Justin said, not looking towards him.

JC entered slowly, sitting on the bed next to Justin. "I'm really sorry
about that. I didn't know your mom would get annoyed."

"It's alright," Justin said absently. He noticed a fly walking on the
ceiling and stared at it, losing himself in its simple movement rather than
succumb to the thoughts in his head.

"Are you ok," JC asked, looking down so that he could see Justin's face.
"You're not too mad at me, are you?"

"I'm not mad at you," Justin said quietly. "I'm frustrated."

	"About what," JC asked.

"This is all getting to be a little too much for me," Justin said quietly.
"I mean, here I am, living at home with my mother, terrified she's going to
find out I'm gay. Worse than that, only one other person knows, and I'm too
terrified to tell my other friends."

"Your mom isn't going to find out until you tell her," JC said. "Isn't
that why you're dating Britney?"

"JC, if you saw your child soaking wet, in his underwear and rolling around
on the floor with another man, wouldn't you get the least bit suspicious?"

"Point taken," JC said simply. "I'm sorry."

"You didn't do anything. It's just that I'm paranoid about her finding
out. It makes the littlest things seem like disasters. She probably
already forgot about what went on up here. I'm going to be thinking about
it for the next three weeks, trying to see if she figured out my secret or
not." Justin stood up and walked over to his door, shutting it tight.
"Then we have the whole situation with Britney."

	"What's wrong there," JC asked.

"I don't even consider us as a couple," Justin said, sitting back down next
to his friend. "I mean, I love her as a friend and all, but I'm gay. No
matter how many times the press says we're together, it's not going to
change anything. I should tell her," Justin said quietly.

"I wouldn't do that," JC said quickly. "I mean, you don't know how she'll
react. It would probably be better to just break up with her."

"But I can't do that. She's like my last cover from my mom," Justin said.
"God, this is too much!"

"Just, calm down," JC laughed. "You're stressing over nothing. Your mom
doesn't suspect anything. Britney is great, and would get over it if you
broke it off with her. Plus you have the bestest best friend in the whole
world! I don't know what you're problem is."

Justin laughed and looked over at JC. With a sigh he turned his head
again, noticing the clock on his night table. "My problem is we're fifteen
minutes late."

"What," JC said quickly. "8:00 o'clock, right?"

"No, 7:30," Justin replied. "Lance called me last night."

"Well get dressed," JC said loudly. "You're gonna get me in trouble."

Justin laughed loudly at his friend. "Just like when we were little kids
again. Always afraid of getting in trouble." He stood up and started to
pull down his boxers, stopping quickly. "Um, I'm gonna get dressed now."

"OK," JC said absently, looking at his friend. "Oh! OK!" He stood up
quickly and walked towards the door. "I'll give you some privacy then.
You've got five minutes to be downstairs though."

"Will do sir," Justin laughed. He watched as JC left the room, closing the
door behind him. With a sigh he began getting dressed.

									*****

"You woke up late, didn't you," Lance said as soon as JC and Justin walked
into his apartment. Joey and Chris were already present, sitting
comfortably on the couch.

"Something like that," Justin said with a smile. "Sorry."

"It's alright," Lance said with a sigh. "I'm used to it." He smiled over
at Justin and plopped down on the couch. "How are you doing JC? Want some
coffee or anything?"

"Yea, that would be great," JC said, noticing the mug in Chris's hand.
"I'll get it."

"Get me one too," Justin asked, smiling over at JC. He then turned to Joey
and laughed. "What is up with your hair?"

"You don't like it," Joey asked, feigning hurt. "I did it just for you!"

"Right," Justin said. "Red isn't even my favorite color. Now, if it was
blue...maybe."

"Damn, I knew I should've went for blue," Joey said. "I thought it would
look cool."

"It looks...interesting," Justin said. "Just something I have to get used
to before I can decide if I like it or not."

"It's ok. I already told him I hate it," Chris said with a smirk.

"And I told you your opinion needs nothing to me," Joey replied, pretending
to wipe the tears from his eyes.

JC walked back into the living room, handing Justin a mug, watching as his
friend took a seat on the floor. JC sat in the chair next to Lance and set
his mug down on a coaster on the coffee table. "So, when do they get here,"
JC asked.

"They should be here any minute," Lance replied, glancing over at the
clock. "I guess they like to sleep late...just like our little Curly," he
said, a smile creeping across his face.

"I was tired," Justin whined. "You guys always wake me up so early. One
day I just want to sleep all day. Until like dinner time."

"You did last week," Chris said.

	"Twice," Joey added.

"Well, I want to do it again," Justin said quickly, taking a sip of his
coffee and smiling over at Lance. "Slave driver."

"Slave," Lance shot back, giggling lightly. He heard the doorbell and
looked around the room. "I guess that's them," Lance said.

"I'll go let them in," Justin said, jumping up quickly.

"Be nice," Joey said as Justin walked out the door.

"I"m always nice," Justin yelled back, laughing lightly as he ran quickly
down the one flight of stairs. He opened one of the glass doors and smiled
wide. "Wow, you guys aren't the Backstreet Boys, are you?"

"In the flesh," AJ laughed. "How you doing Justin?"

"Pretty good," Justin said, shaking his hand. "A little tired."

"So is Nick over here," Kevin said, pointing to over to where Brian was.
He was half holding Nick up as Nick held his eyes shut. "Long flight."

"I can imagine," Justin said with a smile. "Lance's apartment is only on
the second floor, but I guess we can take the elevator...given his present
condition," Justin laughed.

"I'm awake," Nick grumbled. "Just cranky." He looked up at Justin and
smiled. "Nice to see you again," he said, putting his hand on Justin's
shoulder and giving it a squeeze.

"Ditto," Justin replied, looking at Nick carefully. He shook his head
quickly and shook hands with the rest of the guys.

"So, let's get going," Kevin said, stepping forward and past Justin.

"You wanna carry him," Brian laughed, pulling Nick off of him and pushing
him towards Justin. "He weighs too much for me to carry."

"I can walk," Nick said, blushing slightly. He smiled over at Justin and
started laughing. "I'd probably break you in half anyway."

"You would not," Justin replied, laughing with him.

"No, I've tried," Howie said. "He would."

"Well let's see," Justin said. He looked at Nick and shrugged. "Let's
see."

"Whoa," Nick exclaimed as he felt himself being lifted into the air and
tossed over Justin's shoulder.

"He's not too heavy," Justin said, grimacing slightly.

"Yea, if you eat your spinach," Howie laughed. "Hold the elevator," he
called to Kevin. "Unless you'd like to walk up there stairs like that."

"Elevator," Justin said through his teeth. He began to walk towards it
slowly, staggering a bit.

"Hey, this is kind of fun," Nick said, as he was carried towards the
elevator.

"I'm glad you're enjoying yourself," Justin laughed. "I aim to please."

"Oh my God," AJ said, laughing loudly. "How'd you manage that one Nick?
Can I get a ride next Justin?"

"Nope, only blonds get rides," he said with a laugh.

"I got some bleach somewhere," AJ replied.

"Nick, don't hurt him," Kevin warned. "We can't have him injured."

"I'm alright," Justin said, getting used to Nick's weight.

"Yea, you heard him. He's alright," Nick laughed. "I'll carry him around
later."

"Oh Lord," Brian muttered as he stepped off the elevator. "Wow," he said
as he saw the open door to Lance's apartment.

"It's pretty big," Justin said, carrying Nick into the apartment.

"Hey guys. Nice to..." Lance stopped as soon as he saw Justin. "Um...hi
Nick."

"Hey Lance," Nick laughed, shaking his hand while still being carried
around by Justin. "You wanna carry me over to Chris and Joey to say hi," he
asked with a smile.

"Enough free rides for you," Justin laughed, dropping him onto a chair. He
stretched, arching his back backwards a bit.

"I think you broke him," JC said, looking at his friend and smiling.

"Oh, I'm fine," Justin laughed. He looked over at Nick and smiled.
"Really."

"I was serious about what I said before. I'll carry you around everywhere
later."

Lance looked at them, a bit shocked for a moment. "Um, where are the rest
of the guys?"

"Right here," Kevin said, stepping in. "Nice to see you guys again."

"Same here," Lance said, shaking his hand while still looking over at
Justin and Nick. "How was the flight?"

	"Awful," Brian said stepping forward.

"He almost broke my hand when we took off," Kevin said with a smile.

"But you're my cousin, so it's alright," Brian said.

Justin watched as everyone in the room exchanged greetings, acting
surprisingly friendly with each other. He couldn't help but look over at
Nick often, smiling whenever he did so. Nick didn't seem to notice for the
most part, but once, as Justin turned his head, he saw Nick stick his tongue
out at him. He turned red instantly and looked back over at Lance.

"So, we're just here getting acquanted and going over some details," Lance
said. "This tour is going to be killer."

"It's the longest one we've been on," Kevin said. "It's gonna be
exhausting."

"But hey, it'll be fun," Chris said. "You know...double the pleasure,
double the fun? Double the boy bands..."

"You're the chipper one, aren't you," AJ said with a smile.

"Yea, and the one with the crazy hair," Howie laughed.

"We'll get along great," AJ laughed.

"They're bonding," Joey yelled. "This can't be good."

"Well, let's try to be a little serious here," Kevin said. "It says here
that we'll be crossing the continental US. This is a huge tour."

"I still can't figure out why they'd put us together," Brian said. "Both
of us get sold out crowds wherever we go anyway."

"We're gonna be playing in larger arenas," Kevin said. "Also, with two of
us, it means we get a little more of a break and some more time off. So
while the tour's going to be longer, hopefully it won't be as strenuous."

"Well, wait til they meet Fatima," Howie laughed.

"Oh, you'll love her," AJ replied.

"What's wrong with Fatima," Joey asked quickly.

	"Is she scary," Chris said.

"No, but she's a work horse," Brian replied. "You'll be sore for days
after the first session."

"Great," Joey said. "Makes me hungry just thinging about it."

	"Mm...lunch," Justin said.

"I could go for some food," Nick said.

"What kind of food do you guys want," Kevin asked.

He was met with a chorus of everything from burgers to thai food. He
looked over at everyone and stared open mouthed. "Um...how about Denny's?"

"Why don't we split up," Nick said. "Meet back here in a little while or
whatever?"

"Sounds like a plan," Lance said.

Justin looked over at Nick and smiled. "Did you say thai food?"

"Hey, it's good," Nick said defensively, smiling just a little.

"No, I know it is. I had it with my mom the other day," Justin replied.

"So, you wanna go get that," Nick asked, a bit hopefully.

"Yea sure," Justin said. "Anyone else want to go for thai?"

"No, I don't like dog food," Joey said.

"Suit yourself," Nick said. "What time are we meeting back here?"

"Two hours I guess," Lance said, eyeing Justin carefully. "We'll go over
the rest of the stuff then."

"Alright, let's go then," Justin said. He began to stand, but soon found
himself being lifted up. "Hey!"

"I said I was gonna carry you around later. It's later," Nick said,
laughing a bit. "You're not heavy at all." He looked over at the rest of
the guys and laughed. "We'll see you later."

Nick carried Justin out the door and towards the elevator, pressing the
down button. "You really don't have to carry me," Justin laughed. "The
view is wonderful and all, but I don't want to kill your back."

"The view," Nick said, a bit confused. He looked down and saw that
Justin's head was just about eye level with his ass. He laughed loudly.
"Well, my back is fine, if you don't mind the view."

"I was only kidding," Justin said, being carried into the elevator.

"I really like your CD," Nick said, trying to strike up a conversation.

"I love your's," Justin said. "It's been in my stereo since it came out,"
Justin said. 'I'm not being flirty, am I,' he asked himself.

"That's quite a compliment," Nick said with a smile.

He put Justin down before the elevator reached the ground floor, giving an
elaborate bow for him to exit first. "Where is there a thai restuarant
around here?"

"Just a few blocks down," Justin said.

Nick stopped a minute. "We're gonna walk?"

Justin looked at him for a minute. "We can drive if you want. I didn't
think it mattered. I didn't hurt your back that bad, did I?"

"No," Nick laughed. "It's just that...won't we get mobbed?"

"Aw, you're not afraid of a couple of teenage girls are you," Justin asked,
a smile across his face.

"Hell yea," Nick said as he walked down the street with Justin. "They
almost killed me when we were over in Europe. Tore half my clothes off."

"That's ok, they almost got all of mine off once," Justin said. "I don't
know how they get so strong."

"They don't even carry us around, like we do," Nick said. "You wanna carry
me again?"

"Why, your legs broke," Justin laughed.

"I could pretend they were," Nick said.

"Let's just go," Justin said. He continued to walk with Nick, wondering to
himself what made him feel so comfortable around him. It felt strange. It
took weeks for him to get this close with the rest of the guys in his own
band, but here he was with Nick, talking about anything and never running
out of things to say. And damn, was he hot. Justin turned bright red
whenever that thought entered his mind. 'He probably thinks I'm crazy,' he
laughed. 'And there's no way he's gay.' He sighed lightly, almost
depressing himself with that thought. 'Well, at least we can be friends,'
he said. Little did he know, a similar train of thought was running through
Nick's head.

										*****

"Justin," Nick said, shaking Justin lightly. Justin opened his eyes
quickly, having not really been asleep anyway.

"Hey honey," Justin replied, smiling over at Nick. "That can't be
comfortable."

"It's not," Nick replied, stretching his back slightly. "I was wondering
if you knew where they keep the extra pillows in here. I couldn't find
any."

"Nick, just get into bed with me," Justin said, moving closer to his IV
holder and making room for Nick.

"It's a hospital," Nick said, a bit surprised. "Someone could see us."

"Well, we're not gonna be getting naked," Justin said. "Unless you
wanna..."

	"Justin!"

"Well, I wouldn't mind it," Justin said with a smirk. "It's been a couple
of days..."

"Well, I will get into bed with you," Nick said, removing his shirt.
Justin looked at him longingly. "Just because that chair is a torture
rack."

"Alright," Justin said, moving over a bit more. Nick climbed carefully
into the bed, not wanting to hurt Justin.

"I'm alright Nick," Justin said, scooting closer to him as soon as he felt
he was settled. "I just want to be close to you."

"This close enough," Nick said, gently bringing Justin all the way next to
him, hugging his body to his.

"This is nice," Justin replied, kissing Nick lightly on the lips. He meant
it to be innocent, but as soon as their lips made contact, he felt the
passion rise in him. Nick returned the kiss, slowly at first, but it
quickly rose in intensity. He felt Justin's tongue invade his mouth,
massaging it with his own. He let out a light moan as Justin's hand ran up
and down his smooth torso. His hand went to behind Justin's head, bringing
it closer to his own. He began to play with his curls as their kiss
continued.

"Wow," Justin said as he slowly pulled back. "That was...wow."

"Someone's a little excited," Nick said with a smile, feeling Justin's
erection hit the side of his leg.

"Um, someone's very excited," Justin said, a little out of breath.

"I could fix that," Nick said, running a finger slowly up and down the
length of Justin's penis, teasing him slightly.

"Oh, don't play with me," Justin said, his eyes shut tight.

"Aw why not," Nick asked, wrapping his fingers around Justin's growing
erection.

"Alright," Justin said through his teeth. "Do whatever you want."

Nick smiled and pulled the blanket back slightly. He slowly lifted the
hospital gown from Justin and kissed his way down his nicely toned chest and
abs. Low moans escaped from Justin's lips as Nick continued, finally
reaching his swollen member. He lightly began to lick the tip of his tongue
along the length, enjoying the reaction he was getting from his lover. He
gently took Justin cock into his hands and began stroking at the same time
as he began to lick around the head, bringing his mouth down further and
further down with each stroke. Finally, he felt the tip move against the
back of his throat, his lips resting around the base. Justin moaned loudly,
raising his hips up slightly from the bed and spreading his legs apart
wider. He felt a slight pain in his back, but ignored it, enjoying the
pleasure too much.

Nick slowly drew his mouth up the length of Justin's penis, before diving
back down. Justin moaned loudly as Nick's speed increased. He rested his
hand on the back of Nick's head and ran his fingers through his hair. "Keep
going," Justin whispered, breathing hard. "Nick..." Nick licked up the
length of his penis before again deep throating him. Justin hissed
slightly, raising his hips up again. Nick gently stroked Justin's sac with
one hand while going down on him. Soon Justin's breath was wild and
erratic, moans escaping freely. "Almost...oh god...mm..." He shut his eyes
tight and with one quick thrust shot down Nick's throat. He held himself up
for a moment before collapsing back on the bed. He breathed hard for a few
seconds, watching as Nick moved back up the bed and cradled Justin in his
arms. "Look what you made my heart monitor do," he said with a laugh,
pointing towards the machine. The line was now rising and falling rapidly,
indicating the increased heart rate.

"How are we going to explain that one," Nick asked with a smirk.

"Um...a dream," Justin said with a laugh. "I'll say I was dreaming."

"You should be doing that right now," Nick said, gently running a finger
through Justin's hair.

"I will," Justin said. He began laughing slightly. He stopped for a
moment, but looking towards Nick's face, he started to laugh again.

"Why are you laughing at me," Nick asked playfully.

"I'm not laughing at you," Justin said, giggling now. "I was just thinking
about the first time we tried sharing a bed."

"That was so not funny," Nick said. "I was kind of crying after that
incident if you recall."

"But looking back on it now...can't you laugh about it," Justin asked with
a smile.

	"Maybe..."

										*****

Justin lay on his bed, his feet resting against the headboard as he flipped
through the channels. 'I wish this hotel had better cable,' Justin thought
to himself. He had left the curtains open intentionally, enjoying the view
he got of the New York skyline. 'But with a view like that...'

The tour had been going on for about a week now, and he had to admit he was
enjoying it more than any other one he had been on. It was great having
more guys to hang out with. And the bus they got was huge. He wouldn't
mind having to sleep in there rather than staying in hotels.

And then there was Nick. Justin smiled as he thought of him. He was just
so great to hang out with. JC had seemed so preoccupied recently, that when
Nick came along, it was like a God-send. But there was someting more too.
Justin couldn't help but stare at him sometimes. Nick would catch him
sometimes, and just smile back at him, which made Justin blush even more.
'He couldn't be gay,' Justin thought to himself. 'That would be too much to
ask for.' He had talked about it with JC, but he didn't have anything to
say other than "Be careful. You don't want to ruin what you already have
with him." Justin sighed and turned back towards the television. "Maybe
I'll just order a movie."

A knock at his door snapped him back into reality. He got up slowly and
walked over to it, peering through the peephole for extra security.
Instantly his stomach flew into knots when he saw who was on the other side.
He opened the door quickly and smiled.

"Hey," Nick said, smiling wide. He was dressed in a pair of mesh shorts
and a tank top, his hair still wet from a recent shower.

"Hey there," Justin replied. "Whatcha up to?"

"Well, I was bored, and kind of hungry, so I was wondering if you wanted to
order some food and get a movie or something." Justin looked at Nick and
saw him looking almost nervous.

"I was just thinking of doing the same thing," Justin laughed. "You've
gotta stop reading my mind."

"But it's fun," Nick said with a grin, entering Justin's room as Justin
stepped inside.

"I don't think they have thai food on the menu," Justin said with a laugh,
remembering the lunch they had just the other week. "But the burgers are
pretty good."

"Sounds good," Nick said. "Make mine a cheeseburger...um, no onions."

Justin smiled at him and picked up the phone, ordering the same. He hung
up the phone and looked towards Nick. "Now what movie?"

Nick walked over to the television and picked up the brochure. "Blair
Witch Project, Runaway Bride, Ideal Husband..."

"Runaway Bride," Justin asked. "I haven't seen that one yet."

"Romantic Comedy it is," Nick said. "One of my favorite genres." He
dialed the front desk and requested the movie to be brought up with the room
service. That done he walked towards the window and smiled. "The view is
amazing here."

"I know," Justin said with a smile. "One of the best things about New
York." Nick just nodded, a sigh escaping his lips. Justin stared at Nick's
reflection in the mirror, frowning a little. "Something on your mind?"

"Me," Nick said. "No, not really." He turned towards Justin and gave him
a little grin. "What about you? You're the one with the frown on."

"No, I'm alright," Justin laughed. "I thought something was bothering you.
You had a look on your face."

Nick looked at him and started laughing. "Oh yea? What kind of look?"

"A...I have something on my mind look," Justin said. Nick continued
laughing. "Alright, alright," Justin said, smacking him on the arm. "No
more laughing at me."

"I'm sorry," Nick said as he smiled. He pulled Justin into a hug and
rubbed his hand up and down his back. He paused for a moment and pulled
away, blushing slightly.

"You're forgiven this time," Justin replied, smiling widely.

Nick sat down on the floor in front of the bed. "How do you keep your room
so clean," he asked. "My room always looks like a bomb exploded in it."

"Well, I used to always have to room with JC," Justin replied. "He's a big
neat freak. I'd get smacked whenever my stuff got too crazy."

"When I used to room with Brian you couldn't tell whose stuff was whose,"
Nick said. "We'd just always throw stuff in a suitcase and sort through it
later. And then get it mixed up again. I still say he has my favorite
shirt."

Justin laughed a bit and sat down next to Nick on the floor. "So...are you
seeing anyone right now," he asked nrevously.

"Me," Nick asked, a bit shocked. "Nope. How about you?"

"No," Justin replied, a bit shyly.

"Not even Britney," Nick said with a laugh.

"We are not dating," Justin said with a smirk. "The press just likes to
make mountains out of molehills."

"Right," Nick said with a smile. "That's not what I've heard from
Britney."

"Shut up," Justin said. "I'm not dating her."

"Alright," Nick said, feigning doubt. "I'll believe you for now."

They sat talking for a few minutes, until both the food, and a VCR with a
tape were brought up. Justin fixed the food on the floor for them while
Nick set up the VCR. "I'm gonna run to the soda machine. What do you
drink?"

"Um, coke is good," Nick said, trying to find the place for the red wire.

"Alright, be right back," Justin said, jogging quickly down the hall. He
picked up four cans of coke, and stacked them in his hands, walking slowly
back towards his room.

"You thirsty," a voice behind him said. He turned and saw JC just stepping
out of his room.

"No," Justin said with a smirk. "Nick and I are having some dinner in my
room and watching a movie."

"Really," JC said, raising an eyebrow.

"Really," Justin said, mimicing his manner and smiling. "Don't worry, I
won't do anything dumb."

"Alright," JC said. "Just remember what we talked about before."

"I will," Justin said, smiling a bit. "And thanks JC."

"Anytime," JC said, returning his grin. "Now, you have a Backstreet Boy in
your room. Get back there before the thousands of screaming girls get you."

Justin nodded and walked back to his room, balancing the cans carefully.
As soon as he was back in the room, he saw Nick sitting on the edge of the
bed, watching the door carefully. "Let me help you," Nick said, walking
over quickly and taking two of the cans from Justin.

"Thanks." Justin sat down on the floor in front of the television. "How
does the food look?"

"Great," Nick replied, pulling the cover off of the containers.

Justin stood up and shut off all the lights in the room, leaving the
curtains open for some light to enter the room. Nick placed the tape in the
VCR and sat by the bed, close to Justin. They began to eat, Nick throwing
occassionaly glances over at Justin.

"Why doesn't he just tell her he loves her," Justin asked quietly. They
had finished their dinner by now and were laying down on the floor, facing
the tv.

"It's not always easy," Nick replied. "You know, afraid of rejection and
stuff."

"Yea, but what about taking a chance," Justin said. He turned towards Nick
and look him right in the eyes. "Sometimes, things just like...feel right."

"I know," Nick said weakly. "But still, you have to be pretty brave to
tell someone how you feel. I'm a chicken when it comes to that."

"Same here," Justin said, smiling lightly. He turned back to the movie and
sighed. Occassionally he'd look over and catch him smiling happily. 'He's
so beautiful,' Justin thought to himself.

"What are you smiling about over there," Nick asked as he saw Justin's
face.

"Huh," Justin said, Nick's voice snapping him back into reality.

"You're smiling pretty big," Nick said. "Whatcha thinking about?"

"Just enjoying the movie," Justin said.

"The movie that just ended," Nick laughed.

Justin's head snapped towards the tv screen. He watched the credits roll.
"Yea, the movie that just ended. I love this song."

"Alright," Nick said, giggling a bit. He stretched and let out a soft
moan. "What time is it?"

"Almost one," Justin said, letting out a little yawn.

"I guess we should get some sleep then," Nick said tentatively.

"Yea," Justin said. He looked at Nick and saw him stand up.

"I had fun," he said. "We'll have to do it again."

"Yea," Justin said slowly. "I'll see you tomorrow then." He gave Nick's
shoulder a squeeze and smiled.

"Right," Nick said, smiling back at him. "Sweet dreams."

"You too." Justin watched as Nick left the room, shutting the door behind
him. As soon as he was gone, he tossed himself down on the bed and sighed
loudly. 'I hate this,' he thought to himself. Everytime Nick's name popped
into his head, he got "the feeling" all over. The tingely one...the one
that gives you butterflies in your stomach. And his name was always on his
mind.

There was a knock on the door. Justin sat up quickly, and stood up off the
bed. He walked over quickly and opened it.

"I forgot my key," Nick said quickly.

"Oh," Justin said, looking him in the eye. He stared for a minute,
memorizing his face. "Oh!"

"I can sleep in Brian's room, but he snores...and he's probably asleep
already...so..."

"You can sleep here," Justin said quickly.

"Thanks," Nick said, smiling slightly. He followed Justin back into the
room and looked at the bed. "Um, I'll just sleep on the floor I guess..."

"Oh," Justin said, a bit dissappointed. "Yea, alright." Nick looked at
him a second longer and nodded, pulling off the top blanket and laying it
out on the floor. "You...uh...want a pillow?"

"No, it's ok," Nick said. "Um...night."

"Night," Justin said. He watched as Nick removed his shirt and pulled the
blanket over him. Justin did the same, crawling under the blankets of the
bed and sighing quietly.

'He came back,' he thought to himself. 'He's lying in my room, sleeping.
He's in my room. In my room...' The thought echoed throughout his mind as
he listened to Nick's breath...perfectly timed. Justin shut his eyes tight
and gripped the blankets. "You, want to sleep up here," he asked quickly,
shutting his eyes tighter as he spoke. "The floor can't be too
comfortable."

"It's not," Nick said quietly. "You don't mind?"

"Of course not," Justin said with just a little bit more confidence. He
moved over in the bed and watched as Nick stood.

	"You're sure?"

"Of course I am," Justin said, smiling a bit. He felt the bed shift as
Nick let his weight down onto it. Nick lay on his back, Justin facing away
from him. "Night," Justin said.

	"Night," Nick replied.

'Why does he seem as nervous to be here as I am to have him in my bed,'
Justin thought to himself. 'Maybe he likes me. Either that or he noticed
me staring at him all night and thinks I'm going to rape him in his sleep.
Great.' Justin turned slightly, laying on his back. His hand brushed
against Nick's, but he quickly moved it. 'Shit, I touched him,' he yelled
in his head. He turned his head slightly and sighed, trying to pretend to
be drifting off to sleep. He ventured opening his eyes a bit and noticed
Nick staring up at the ceiling. He shut his eyes tight again and inhaled
deeply. 'He can't sleep. I'm probably making him nervous. Maybe I should
sleep on the floor.' Justin turned over again and started breathing fast.
'Just calm down,' he scolded himself. He shifted again so he was lying on
his back, his arm at his side. He opened his eyes and looked up at the
ceiling. He listened carefully to Nick's breath. 'He must be asleep.'

Nick's hand gently fell on top of Justin's. Justin's eyes shot open as his
body stiffened a bit. He slowly turned his head towards Nick and saw his
eyes shut. 'He's cute when he sleeps,' Justin thought to himself. He
smiled and moved a little closer, casually dropping his arm across Nick's
chest. He saw Nick shift a bit and smile. Justin could feel his heart
beating loudly in his chest. 'He's smiling. What if he is gay?' Nick
rolled to the side a bit, now facing Justin. His eyes opened slowly as he
smiled.

	"Um, hi," he said casually.

"Hi," Justin replied, turning a little red.

"You, uh...remember what we said before about telling people you like
them?" Nick looked at Justin nervously, nibbling the lower part of his lip.

	"I remember," Justin replied.

"Well, I..." Nick moving closer to Justin. "I sort of..." Nick stopped
and studied Justin carefully. "I really like you."

Justin's heart stopped beating for a bit. A million thoughts rushed to his
head as he stared at Nick. His jaw dropped quickly. He noticed the look of
fear enter Nick's face. Justin sat up quickly.

"I...wow...I, uh..." Justin looked over at Nick and hopped up out of the
bed. "Wow..." He ran out the door.

"Justin, wait," Nick called after him.

Justin stopped just outside the door and leaned against the wall. 'He
likes me,' Justin said to himself. 'He just told me he likes me...' "And I
ran out of the room," he said outloud. 'I fucking ran out of the room!'
Justin banged his head against the wall and took a deep breath. He looked
over, noticing the door had closed. "Shit," he muttered. He turned towards
the door and knocked lightly.

There was a slight whimpering noise on the other side, a sniffle as Nick
walked towards the door. He opened it slowly and looked at Justin. "It's
your room...you don't have to knock."

"Yes I did," Justin said weakly. "I forgot my key..."

Nick looked at him for a second and then smiled...then he started laughing.
Justin walked into the room and shut the door behind him.

"Justin, I'm really sorry," Nick said quickly, wiping at the corner of his
eye. "I shouldn't have said-"

"Yes you should have," Justin said quickly.

	"What?"

"I...God, I like you too," he said quickly. "Don't tell me you haven't
noticed me staring at you!"

"Yea," Nick said with a smile. "That's the only thing I had to go on that
made me think you could be..."

	"Gay," Justin said for him.

"Right," Nick said with a smile. "But then when I told you...I thought I
was wrong...and you'd freak and I'd lose a good friend...and...there you
have the crying mess you saw at the door."

"I'm so sorry," Justin said, walking over and quickly pulling Nick into a
hug. "It just surprised me. I mean, I've been hoping for the past couple
of days that maybe you liked me, but when I was finally faced with it, it
was kind of...overwhelming."

"So, I didn't scare you off," Nick asked nervously.

"No," Justin said with a smile, looking into Nick's eyes. "Definitely
not."

Nick looked at him, returning his smile. He slowly moved his head towards
Justin's and kissed him on the cheek. Justin felt his knees give a little,
holding on to Nick tighter.

"I've wanted to do that for days," Nick said.

Justin looked at him and slowly brought his lips to meet Nick's. Nick
leaned into the kiss, opening his mouth as he felt Justin's tongue enter.
He pulled Justin closer to him and moaned slightly as the kiss grew in
intensity. Finally Justin pulled back.

"Was that...ok," he asked shyly. "I've never kissed a guy before."

Nick looked at him and smiled. "Neither have I. But I've kissed some
girls and that was amazing."

Justin smiled happily and leaned in again, kissing Nick again. This time
he felt himself lifted off the floor. He pulled back quickly. "This is
more comfortable," Nick said with a smile as he lay Justin down.

										*****

"I was a nervous wreck half of that night," Nick said, laughing slightly.

"What about me," Justin replied. "Christ I was convinced you thought I was
going to rape you or something."

"Well you were looking at me kind of funny," Nick said, a smirk across his
face.

"That's cause you're funny lookin," Justin replied, laughing slightly.

"If you weren't in the hospital for major injuries right now, you'd have
one major ass whoopin coming your way," Nick said, shaking a fist in the
air.

"I'm not gonna touch that one," Justin said. He looked over at Nick and
smiled. "I love you."

"Yea right," Nick said, pouting slightly.

"I do love you," Justin said, running his hand through Nick's hair. "I
love your smile, and your eyes, and your arms, and I love talking to you,
and..." He stopped as he noticed Nick start to doze off. "Night sweety."
He leaned over and kissed Nick lightly on the cheek before shutting his own
eyes.

Britney walked quickly around her room, picking up the stray articles of
clothing that had found their way out of her suitcase. 'I need an iron,'
she thought to herself as she noticed the condition of most of her clothes.
'Mom would not be happy.'

The phone rang. With a groan, Britney dropped the clothes in her arms back
to the floor and walked over to the nightstand, laying down on her bed as
she picked it up. "Hello?"

	"Hey there," AJ said.

"Hey," Britney said happily. "Um, how are you?"

"I'm good," AJ said slowly. "How about you?"

"Wonderful!" Britney giggled a bit and kicked her legs up. "I had a
really good time last night.

"You did," AJ asked. "I was worried. You're sure everything was..."

"AJ, it was amazing," Britney said. "If I had known it was like that, I
would've done that years ago!"

"What," AJ said a bit shocked.

"I'm just kidding," Britney said, sitting up on the bed and drawing her
legs under her. "But really, it was wonderful."

"We picked one hell of a night though," AJ said.

"I know," Britney said. "I'm going to head over to the hospital to see
Justin a little later."

"I'll come with you," AJ said. "Kevin said that Nick hasn't left his
bedside yet."

"It isn't too serious is it," Britney asked.

"Well, not anymore. They were a lot more worried at first."

"I heard they thought his kidneys were going to give," Britney said. "That
would've been awful."

"Well, his one kidney is fine apparently," AJ said. "They're still waiting
for word on his other one. But it looks a lot better than it did when he
first got into the hospital."

"Thank God," Britney said. "Um, I need to get going. This room is a mess
and I want to get over to the hospital. Why don't I meet you there in an
hour or so?"

"Sounds good," AJ said. "Love you."

"Love you too," Britney said happily. She hung up the phone lightly and
lay down on her bed, staring up at the ceiling.

"Morning," a voice said loudly. Nick groaned a bit, trying to ignore the
sound. He shut his eyes again and pulled Justin closer to him. "I said,
good morning." Nick stretched slightly and groaned, pulling one hand up to
his neck and rubbing it. He blinked his eyes opened and inhaled sharply.

"Um...morning," he said shyly as he sat up.

"You know you're in the hospital right," Lynn said as she sat down on the
chair next to the bed.

"I know," Nick said. "I was sleeping on the chair last night and Justin
woke up and made me get into the bed because he said I'd hurt my neck."
Nick paused and rubbed the soar spot some more. "Which I seem to have done
anyway."

"You guys really have to be more careful. I'm surprised someone hasn't
picked up on this yet," Lynn said.

"Lynn, we're very careful most of the time. But when Justin is in the
hospital, I'm a little more worried about him and being with him than I am
about what the press or public thinks. I'm not going to sacrifice my
relationships just to sell a few more albums."

Lynn looked at the expression on his face, a mixture of hurt, anger and
frustration. "Alright," she said simply. "As long as you guys would be
willing to face the consequences of your actions."

"We are," Justin said sleepily. He looked over at Nick and smiled. "I
mean, we're engaged. We're getting a house together. Once that gets out
I'm sure we'll have a lot of questions to answer."

"I'm just being a worrier," Lynn said with a smile. She walked over to
Justin's side of the bed and looked down at him. "How are you feeling?"

"Um, kind of like I have a hang over, but alright," Justin said, massaging
his temples a bit.

"At your age, you shouldn't know what a hangover feels like," Lynn said.
"But I'll overlook the slip up."

"Thanks," Justin said, smiling a bit. "Think I can get some breakfast?"

"I'm not your servant," Lynn laughed.

"Nick, think I can get some breakfast," Justin laughed. Nick playfully
smacked his arm, but got up from the bed.

"I'll see if I can find a nurse and see what time you're getting fed and
watered." Nick smiled, walking out of the room shaking his head.

"God, he must love you a lot," Lynn said with a smile.

"He does," Justin laughed. "I've been thinking a lot about the wedding."

"Really," Lynn said, sitting down gingerly on the edge of his bed.

"I want to do it soon. Like when the tour is over," Justin said quickly.

"Are you sure," Lynn said, a bit shocked.

	"Positive," Justin said.

"What about living together first," Lynn asked, looking at her son
carefully.

"Well, we won't start planning too much before we find a place and move in.
But I do want to start getting things together."

"Have you spoken to Nick about this," Lynn asked.

"Not yet," Justin said. "But I think he feels the same way."

"I'd make sure before you start ordering flowers," Lynn said.

"What are you talking about? Did he say anything," Justin asked. He tried
to sit up, but still felt a bit of pain in his back.

"No, he didn't say anything. I'm just saying that the two of you said you
were going to wait a little. You should talk to your fiance before you
change your plans."

"I know," Justin said. "I'm going to today."

"Knock knock," a voice from the hallway said.

Lynn looked over at Justin, who shrugged. "Um, come in," he said slowly.

"Hey honey," a female's voice said. Justin felt his head drop back onto
the pillow as he saw who it was.

"Hello Christina," he said, a bit pained.

"Hello Lynn," Christina said, walking over and giving her a hug. Lynn
appeared a bit surprised at first, but returned the hug quickly.

	"How are you Christina?"

"I'm doing good," she said with a smile. "I was wondering if I could talk
to Justin for a bit."

"Oh...um, of course," Lynn said, standing quickly. She looked over at her
son, an odd look on her face. "I'll be right outside Justin."

"What do you want," Justin asked as soon as his mother was out of the room.

	"That's harsh," Christina said.

"What do you expect Christina," Justin said angrily. "This is all your
fault. Christ, I could've been killed!"

"Don't be so over dramatic!" She laughed and plopped down on his bed.
"Besides, I came to apologize."

"Really," Justin said, managing to sit up just a bit. "This should be
good. What are you apologizing for?"

"For what went on at the club. I guess it was uncalled for," Christina
said.

"Wow," Justin said, shocked at her words. "I can't say you're forgiven,
but I do appreciate the apology."

"Now you be honest with me," Christina said. "You didn't feel anything
when we kissed. Not even a little?"

"Oh I felt something," Justin said with a grin.

"I knew it," Christina said, laughing loudly.

"I think repulsed is the right word for it." Justin looked at her, still
smiling wide, watching as her smile faded and was replaced with a scowl.

"I can make your life hell Justin," Christina said slowly.

"No, you can try, fail, and be embarassed," Justin said. "Or, you can
finish up your time on this tour and then never come near any of us again.
Your option." Justin folded his arms across his chest, seeing Nick standing
in the doorway out of the corner of his eye.

"I already told Nick what went on between us," Christina said. "He didn't
seem very happy."

"Nick trusts me a hell of a lot more than he trusts you. Besides, everyone
at the club saw you. You can be a little overwhelming sometimes Christina.
You should work on that."

	"Fuck you," she shouted.

"No, fuck you," Nick said, stepping quickly into the room. "Justin, your
breakfast will be in here in five minutes. Christina, we're gonna have a
little chat in the hall right now."

"I don't think so," Christina said, jumping up.

"Well, we can always have it right here then," Lynn said, entering the room
and locking the door behind her.

"I'm getting out of here," Christina said, heading right towards Justin's
mother.

"Actually, you're going to sit in that chair and listen to what we have to
say." Lynn took Christina by the shoulders and pushed her down onto the
chair holding her in place.

"Now, I'm going to make this very easy for you," Nick said. "You do one
thing to hurt him and I will have you destroyed so fast your head will spin.
And don't think I can't do it. I've been in this game a hell of a lot
longer than you have and have a lot better reputation than you do."

"The press would really love to get a hold on this story," Christina said,
smiling wide.

"You're right," Lynn said, stepping forward. "They would. But not from
you."

	"Oh and why not?"

"Well, if you had bothered to read the contract you signed when you were
picked up for this tour, you would have seen that there's a little privacy
note at the end. You say anything to the press and you're heading to jail
for breach of contract."

Christina looked at Lynn angrily, feeling her face turn red. "Are we done
here?"

"Not yet," Justin said. "Everyone knows the games you play Christina.
You're not fooling anyone. If you really want to have a future in this
business, you're going to want to stop burning bridges with people. Cause
right now, no one likes you. And no one wants to work with you."

Christina glared at him for a moment before standing. Lynn took a quick
step back and smiled. "Talk to you later sweetie."

"Fuck you," Christina said as she stood. She looked at all of them
carefully. "Fuck you all."

"Fuck you too honey," Lynn said calmly, a warm smile on her face.
Christina looked at her shocked for a moment before unlocking the door and
storming out of it.

	"Mom, such language," Justin laughed.

"Way to go Lynn," Nick said with a huge smile.

"I'm an adult. I'm allowed to say fuck." She looked over at Justin.
"You're not allowed to though. At least in front of me."

"Alright," Justin said with a smile. He looked over at Nick. "Are you ok?
I mean...everything that happened at the club?"

"Justin, I never believed what she told me," Nick said with a smile.
"Besides, I spoke to Joey and Howie yesterday. They told me everything that
happened." Justin smiled and held his arms out as Nick gave him a hug.

"Did I miss something," Britney asked as she walked into the room, carrying
a bouquet of flowers. "I just saw the bitch-" she looked up and spotted
Lynn. "Um...Christina storming out of here."

"Oh, we threatened her life," Nick said with a smile, looking up at Justin.

"Without me," Britney yelled. "Justin! Can we get her back in here?!?"

	"Not again," Justin laughed.

"You guys sooo owe me." Britney walked over to Justin and handed them the
flowers. "These are for you." She looked over at Lynn and smiled. "You
couldn't have held her here just a little while longer? I've been working
on some new material."

	"What?"

"Christina jokes," Britney said chipperly. "Like why did the genie cross
the road?"

"Go get me some more morphine," Justin said with Nick. He glanced over at
Britney and groaned. "Fast!"
