Chapter Seven

They all looked at her in shock. She was about 5'6'' tall with long dark
hair and black eyes. Looking in his eyes send shivers to Nick. She looked so
frightening.
"You! What are doing here? And who the fuck are you?!" he asked angrily to
her.
"Come on!" she said "Don't play like that, you know I'm your girlfriend."
Hearing her, Brian pulled away from Nick. Feeling that, Nick looked at him
and only saw tears in his eyes.
"No, Brian, it's not..."
"I'm sick of this." Said Kevin, angrily "Just get out of here with your
bitch, Nick, and don't come back!"
"But, wait!" said Nick "I don't know her! I really don't! I don't even know
what her name is!"
"You're really the dumb one of the group!" said AJ "I really can't believe
you!"
He looked at AJ, very sad. It hurt to hear one of his best friends saying
that. He then looked at her and then she smiled.
"Something is terribly wrong..." he whispered.
"I made my decision, Nick." He heard Brian said. Nick looked at him as he
continued "I can't be with someone who had never loved me."
"Brian, I do love you!" said Nick.
"No, you don't, Nick!" he said angrily "You came back to make me fall for
your lies and to get everything from me?!"
He looked at the floor as tears streamed down his face.
"I can't believe that for a moment... I thought you were saying the truth...
that you were innocent."
"He is, you know." said the girl. They all looked at her, surprised.
"What?!" said Howie.
"Yes..." she said as she slowly walked toward Nick "A poor innocent blond
boy who played game with his friend while he was with me..."
Nick looked at her angrily and started to back away.
"Don't approach me." He said, angrily.
"What's wrong?" she asked innocently, still smiling "You don't want your
girlfriend to hug you?"
"I said to you to don't approach me..." Nick said as he continued to back
away from her.
"What the hell is he doing?" he heard Kevin thought.
"He wants to play game with us, uh? Little blond bitch!" thought AJ.
"Don't pretend you're innocent, Nick." Thought Howie.
"I love him..." thought Brian.
Hearing this thought, Nick looked at him, silently imploring him. Brian
looked at him strangely, wondering why is he looking at him like that. The
others saw that too.
"It's as if he wants help..." Kevin thought. Nick looked at him and nodded.
"Help me, please."
The others looked at him confused and then Nick looked at the girl, who was
standing just in front of him and smiling evilly. He screamed and fell on
the floor. He didn't know why, but he felt that something was terribly wrong
with her. He felt as if an alarm rang in his head, making him really nervous
and scared.
"What's happen? Why am I scared? Why can't I hear her thoughts?" he had a
million thoughts in mind.
The others looked at him and were confused. He looked really afraid.
"No, he's just playing with us." He heard Kevin said. Nick looked down at
the floor, really worried.
"Shit... how can I show them that I'm innocent? And who the fuck is this
shit girl?!"
He looked up and saw the girl, grinning evilly. She smiled and bent down to
touch his chest...

"That was really good, Josh." Said Justin, sitting with the covers on his
thighs. "Thanks."
"Anything for you." Said JC. He put the tray on the bedside and sat beside
him. He started to run his hand in Justin's curls as Justin leaned back
against his chest.
"Mmm... If only I could stay like that all night long." He said, grinning.
"Well, it won't be very easy to sleep after, but I don't mind." Said JC,
grinning. "After all, it feels good."
Justin nodded and turned around, pulling JC in a passionate kiss.
"Remember that I want to..." he whispered as he broke the kiss and slowly
moved his left hand down JC's chest.
"You're tired, babe. Maybe it will be better if we wait until tomorrow."
Said JC.
"I'll have to wait all day long?!" said Justin, disappointed.
"Tomorrow morning." Said JC, smiling. Justin smiled too and kissed him one
more time. They lay on the bed, just cuddling each other.
"Well... I suppose we just have to sleep... unless they're something else we
could do..." he said, thinking. Then he abruptly sat up, looking worried.
"What's wrong, Curly?" asked JC, as he sat up.
"Nick! And Brian!" said Justin "I forgot! I must call them!"
"Wait a minute." Said JC as he got up, took Justin's cell phone from the
table, and walked back to the bed.
"Thanks, Josh." Said Justin as he took his phone and dialed the number of
Nick and Brian's house.

In Nick and Brian's house

Nick quickly stood up and pushed her away. This didn't stop her and she
restarted to walk toward him. He quickly looked at his left and an object
caught his eyes. The Angel's Knife. He ran toward the glass closet, opened
it, opened the glass box where was the knife, and took it. He then turned
toward the girl and pointed it toward her.
"I said to don't approach me!" he screamed at her angrily. "If you
continued, you'll regret it!"
The others guys looked at him shocked. That was the first time that Nick was
threatening someone.
The girl looked at the knife and then his eyes went bright opened. Nick
studied that reaction. No... There wasn't fear... it was astonishment.
"How can't she be afraid?" Nick thought, "I must continue."
"Tell me who you are!" he screamed at her "Or else, you're gonna regret it!"
The girl looked at him and Nick's eyes went opened. A very dark look. And he
still can't read his thoughts.
"Why can't I read your thoughts?" he asked to her. The others looked at him
confused.
"What did he mean?" they were thinking.
"Put that knife down." Said the girl, in a calm but dark voice.
Nick shook his head 'no', still looking at her angrily.
Then the phone started to ring. They looked at it and then back at her. She
was still looking in Nick's eyes.
Second ringing.
No one answer.
Thirst ringing.
Still nobody moved.
Fourth ringing.
Brian looked at it, wondering if he should answered. Then, after the fifth
ring, the answer machine spoke up.
"Hello, Nick and I aren't there for the moment so leave us a message and
we'll call you later. Bye! BEEEEP!"
"Guys? It's me, Justin!"
Kevin looked also at the phone, wondering why he sound panicked.
"Guys, please, is anyone here? It's very very important! Something bad is
happening!"
Then, all the guys, and the girl also, looked also at the phone. Except her,
they were a bit confused.
"Listen, I made a dream this morning, when JC and I were in the street and
there was an accident... And later this morning, when we were walking in the
street there was an accident... exactly the same one that happened in my
nightmare! Everything was... like in it! The red car, the girl and a man
with a red cape... everything!"
They all looked at each other, wondering what did it mean. The girl simply
continued to stare at the machine, her face empty of any emotion.
"And it's not over! Earlier, I made a dream where Nick was kissing Brian.
Then... 'Brian' changed form and became a girl with long dark hair! Kevin,
AJ and 'the real' Brian caught him and yelled at him. The girl had left
during the argument and changed form... it was the man with his red cape
from my last dream!"
The others immediately looked at Nick, mouth opened. It was EXCATLY what
happened.
"Nick... was right?!" they thought, really confused.
"Listen, I'm really worried because I feel that it's going to happen! So
please be careful and called me as soon as..."
Then the answering machine stopped, not letting him enough time to finish.
They all stood in silence. Then, they slowly looked at the girl. She was now
looking at Nick. There was still no emotion on her face.
"Who... are you?" asked Brian, looking at her.
The girl turned and looked at Brian. Her gaze froze him. If the look could
kill, he would be dead at this instant. She looked at him and slowly walked
toward him.
"Don't touch him!" screamed Nick as he quickly went between Brian and the
girl. "If you do, I swear that..."
"That what?" said the girl "That you'll try to attack me?"
"Exactly..." said Nick, pointing the knife at her "So, don't dare to do
that!"
The others were really confused, not knowing what to do or say. Howie looked
at Nick and as he was about to look at the girl, he saw something strange.
"Nick..." he said "Your knife..."
They all looked at the knife and showed that the blade was shining. Nick
looked at the girl who was darkly looking at him.
"Put that knife on the floor." She said. Nick just shook his head 'no'.
"Listen..." said Brian to her "We just want to know who you are and what do
you want."
He tried to sound as calm as possible, but it was difficult. The girl didn't
answer. Instead of, she looked at the knife and then at Nick.
Nick was looking at her and then looked at the knife. The blade wasn't
shining anymore but it was bright white.
"The last it was like that was..."

The knife light brightly for two seconds or so and then stopped shining. The
blade was now bright white.
"The Angel's Knife..."
"It's a magic weapon against the demons... maybe this is one of the reason
of his name..."

"A weapon against the demons..." whispered Nick. He looked at the girl and
then at the weapon. Suddenly it hit him.
"A demon... oh my god, it's a demon!!" he said, panicked.
"What?!" said the others, shocked. The girl was still quiet.
"My weapon..." Nick said, "You remember a few months ago? The blade was
shining and then went bright white when it was ready to fight the demons!"
"That's mean that..." said AJ, shocked.
"Everything wasn't over?! We forgot to kill one demon and it came back to
kill us?!" was thinking Howie and Kevin.
"I don't care what you want but you're gonna pay like the rest of the
demons!" said Nick as he looked at the girl who was standing in front of
him.
"Too late." She said calmly.

Without warning, Nick felt her punching him in the stomach. The pain was
huge and he fell in the floor gasping for air.
"YOU BITCH!!" screamed Brian as he ran toward her and tried to punch her in
the face. But she avoided it and kicked him right on the left ribs. Brian
lay on the floor, screaming in pain as he held the part that had been hit.
It happened so fast that for a few seconds, Kevin, AJ and Howie didn't move.
Nick went on his knees, still in pain, and tried to get Brian.
"Bri... an..." he said as he crawled toward him. As she was about to kick
him, she heard quick footsteps behind her. At the moment she turned around,
she received a punch from one of the other guys. She backed away from a few
feet and looked at him. AJ.
"You're gonna pay for all of this, you bitch... or I rather say... DEMON."
He hissed.
She just stared at him and AJ was a bit surprised that except for a little
red mark on the forehead, she didn't have any other injuries and didn't seem
to be in pain.
"Brian... please answer me!" said Nick sitting beside him with Howie and
Kevin.
Brian's eyes were tightly shut and a few moments later, he slowly opened
them and looked at the three worried faces.
"Nick... are you alright?" he asked.
"Yes, I'm okay, but you don't." said Nick "She hit you very strongly."
Kevin quickly pulled Brian's shirt up and saw a big red mark where he was
hitting.
"Shit... he must have several broken ribs." He said, getting frustrated.
Then, they suddenly heard a scream and saw AJ falling on the floor. The girl
took the knife that had fallen from Nick's hand and brandished it.
"NO!" screamed Howie as he jumped on her, just in time before he hit his
best friend with the knife. She fell on the floor and lost the knife, which
fell on the floor also. Nick saw the advantage. He got up and took the
knife, ready to restarted.
The girl grabbed Howie and, with her big strength, threw him on the wall.
She get up and looked forward her... only to see Nick hitting her with the
Angel's Knife between her two eyes.
"Too late... for you." He said as he removed the knife and back away from
her.

Surprising, no blood came from the girl. She started to scream in a horrible
voice, almost animal's one and to change form many times as she writhed in
pain. Surprising, she changed in Brian, then she became a man with a red
cape and finally changed in a red form.
Nick immediately recognized this form. It was like one of the many demons he
fought with the others. Then the demon made a desperate face and
disappeared...

He saw a red smoke coming from the book. The smoke had a face full of pain
and it disappeared slowly.
**

"The same thing..." whispered Nick. He closed his eyes and held the knife in
his two hands.
"Thanks god..." he whispered.
No one saw it, but the sharp of the knife shined lightly after Nick's words
and went back to normal.

There was a silence in the room. Then, Brian tried to get up but end up
screaming in pain.
"Brian! Are you okay?!" they all said at the same time as they rushed toward
him.
"No... It hurts..." said Brian as he shut his eyes tightly.
"Howie, call an ambulance!" said Kevin "It seems important!"
Howie nodded and ran toward the phone.

Later...

They all sat quietly in the waiting room, waiting for someone to come and
told if Brian is all right. Except Kevin, all of them had some injuries but
not too serious ones.
AJ had a dislocated shoulder, Howie had some bruises on the back, but
nothing serious, and Nick had a big red mark on the stomach. It was actually
hurting a bit, so he had some bandage under his tee shirt. He shouldn't run
and bent too much for a few days and everything will be okay.
They didn't really know for Brian. Kevin actually thought that he had some
broken ribs but he wasn't sure. He glanced at Nick who was sitting across
from him. Nick had still a mark from his slap, but it wasn't so big anymore.
He felt ashamed for what he did. Nick was innocent. They all fell in the
same trap.
"Nick?"
"Yeah, Kev?" said Nick, looking at him.
"I wanted to say... that I'm sorry." He said. The others looked at Nick too.
"I should have know that it was all wrong... that it was a trap..."
"It's okay, Kevin." Said Nick "I know what you mean, but... you couldn't
have know..."
"But we could." Said AJ "I think I have never be more ashamed in my life."
"I'm still the dumb of the group?" said Nick.
"Of course not! You never were, Nick!" said AJ "I only said that because I
was really angry... you're the most courageous of all of us! I'm so proud of
you, Nicky..."
Nick smiled and thanked him.
"And for everything earlier... We're very sorry, Nick." Said Howie "What can
we do to be forgiven?"
"I already forgave you." Assured Nick "I'm just glad that everything is
over."
He opened his arms and all the guys went for a hug. They all hugged each
other tightly, happy that everything went back to normal. They hugged for a
few moments, until Nick cried out in pain.
"Aah!" he said, breaking the hug.
"What happen, Nick?" asked Howie, worried.
"Are you okay?" asked both AJ and Kevin.
"Don't worry, it's just..." he said, pointing his stomach "It's still
sensitive... To much pressure, I guess."
"Sorry, kiddo." Said AJ, looking at it. "When they said that it would be
okay?"
"In three days or fours." Said Nick.
"Great." Said AJ "And after, I could do that!"
Then he caught Nick and started to hug him once more and to tickle him.
"Argh! NO!" said Nick, laughing, as the others laughed too.
Then, they heard the door opened. AJ released him as they saw a doctor
entered.
"Any member of Brian Littrel's family?" he asked.
"Yes!" said both Nick and Kevin. The doctor was a bit surprised by the lack
of resemblance between the two men, but continued.
"Well, it was what we thought. Mr Littrel had two broken ribs and another
one damaged. He must stay at the hospital but fortunately the damage aren't
too severe so it won't be for a long time."
"When do you think he'll be able to come back home?" asked Nick.
"In a week or so." Said the doctor "But after, he must stay in bed and took
medications. Then it will be okay."
"A week isn't a lot of time for broken ribs." Said AJ
"For his case. Brian has a good constitution." Said the doctor "But after a
week, it won't be totally fixed. After three weeks or so in bed, I think
he'll be okay."
"Thanks." Said Kevin, smiling. "Can we see him?"
"Yes." Said the doctor "He asked for you to come. Especially you." He said,
nodding toward Nick. "He's in the room 431." Then he exited the room.
"So... we must go, now." Said Howie as they all exited the room.

As they walked in the hall, they heard someone calling them.
"Hey, guys!"
They all turned over and saw the five members of 'NSync coming toward them.
"While you were with the doctors, I called and asked them to come." Said
Kevin, seeing the surprise look on his friend's faces. "Nick, go and see
Brian. We'll come later."
"Okay..." said Nick as he walked away.
"Guys, what happened?" asked Justin.
"Yes, why did we have to come?" asked Joey.
"Oh my god, are you okay?" asked Chris, saying them with bandages.
"Calm down." Said Lance "Let them explain."
"We have to tell you something." Said Kevin

Nick walked toward the room, passing several persons in the hospital. He
frowned almost each time he passed someone. Since the fight, he couldn't
hear the other's thoughts anymore.
"Strange... oh well... maybe it was only for a few time..." He thought. Yet,
he was still a bit confused. He shook his head and continued his way. He'd
think about it later.
After a few seconds, he was standing in front of the door of Brian's room.
He opened it and entered quietly.
Brian was looking at the window and turned his head toward the door, hearing
someone entered.
"Hey, Nick." He said, smiling.
"Hey, Brian." Said Nick as he took a chair and sat beside him. "How are
you?"
"Fine." Sighed Brian "But I hate being stuck in a hospital."
"I understand." Smiled Nick. They said nothing for a moment when they talked
at the same time.
"Nick..."
"Brian..."
They laughed a little and Nick said:
"Go first."
"Okay..." said Brian as he became serious. "Nick... I wanted to say that I
was really sorry for what happened. I should have listened to you but..."
"Brian..." said Nick as he took both of his hands. "You have nothing to be
sorry about."
"Perhaps..." said Brian "But still... our love is so strong... My heart was
saying that something was wrong... not about you, but about what
happened..."
"You know, the devils can do anything." Said Nick "I'm just glad that
everything is back to normal."
"Me too." Said Brian, looking in Nick's eyes. "You know, it's the second
time you save my life... you're truly my angel... I love you so much..."
Nick couldn't help but to smile at that.
"I'm your angel, Brian... you're the love of my life."
"And you're mine, Nick." Said Brian, smiling. Nick leaned and kissed him on
the lips. His stomach was hurting a bit but he ignored it. They shared a
very soft kiss for several minutes when the door opened.
"Hello, Brian... Oops, sorry." Said Justin, as they broke the kiss.
"Great! I really needed to see that." Said Joey, rolling his eyes. Lance
slapped him on the arm as Joey just giggled.
"It's okay." Said Nick, blushing slightly. "How are you, guys?"
"We're fine, but it's for us to ask that." Said JC "How are YOU?"
"I'm fine." Said Nick "I had a pretty big mark on the stomach but it should
heal quickly."
"I had ribs broken." said Brian "So I must stay at the hospital for a few
time."
"That's weird." Said Chris "Especially because of a demon... AGAIN."
"Yes, but now, it's over." Said Nick "We have nothing to be afraid of...
thanks for your call, Justin."
"Hey, by the way, how did you know what happen with us?" asked AJ.
"Well... I had some 'visions' since yesterday night... and before I called
you I had this vision of a man changing into Brian and then into a girl... I
had other visions too... it's a little confused, but all I know is that...
they were true..." Said Justin
"That's so weird..." said Howie "It's like you could see what will happen or
had happened... Do you still can?"
"I don't know." said Justin.
"You know, something happened to me too... since this morning, I could hear
the thoughts of everyone."
"Really?" said Brian.
"Yes, really." Said Nick "But after the fight with the demon, I can't
anymore... I don't know why."
"But wait..." said Joey "How and why did YOU and Justin get this? This is so
confused."
"We don't know neither." Answered JC.
"Maybe I do." Said Nick.
Everyone looked at Nick and saw him holding the Angel's Knife.
"I wonder if it's the knife... you know, it shined when I pointed it to the
demon... maybe it gave me this power for a few time..." said Nick "And for
Justin... maybe it's because he became a demon, for a few instants several
months ago."
Everyone stayed quiet. Then Justin spoke up.
"Maybe..." said Justin. "But I think we'll never know."
"Maybe it's better than we don't know." said Kevin "Or maybe not."
"But everything is okay, now, and that's all that matter." Said Lance.
"Glad to hear that." Said Joey. "God... A demon that we missed to destroy a
few months ago... that sounds so much like a horror and fantastic story."
"Yeah." Said Nick, smiling "And we're all in the story."
"And the story is over." Said Brian, smiling.

On the hospital's roof...
"That's what I thought... this weakling was to weak to success." Said a tall
and strong man "Being defeated by an ordinary human..."
He stood up and looked at a medal in his hand. It was made in an unknown
metal, with various shades of red and orange, in a shape of a circle with an
image of a knife surrounded by fire draw on it.
"You don't know what is going to happen, humans..." he thought, "You better
be ready, weak beings..."
He then moved both his hands in a circle and a portal opened. He walked in
it and the portal closed being him and disappeared...
