Subject: The Sixth Backstreet Boy 7

ok heres part 7. it took me like 3 times to try to
send this. so here it is. note: not real. fiction.
once again, props out to my palz: keith, amber, coyla,
micki, vanessa, me, myself, and I. This story is
already written, I'm just putting it up in
installments, a response to a question. enjoy.

scene continues:

"Yup." Pause. "So, is that other guy, um, what's
his name...that other guy in your group...is he gay?"
"Nick? Yeah. He's my best friend. Um, don't get
the wrong idea, I'm not, like, with him or anything."
     "That's cool."
"So, what are we going to do about your friends?"
he asked.
I sighed. "I don't know. The longer I wait, the
tireder and madder they'll be."
"So tell them, 'Just don't hit me anymore'."
I shook my head. "Nope, that won't work. If I
smart off they'll get me worse."
"Saying don't hit me anymore is smarting off?"
"Practically everything I say to them is smarting
off." I said bitterly.
"Oh. Well..have you tried asking one of them when
he's in a nice mood to sit down and talk and tell him
now you feel?"
"Well, Jc's pretty nice, but he won't talk. He
always brushes me off. He doesn't actually hit me,
he's the one who twists and holds my hands behind my
back. The others actually punch me. But Jc won't talk.
He brushes me off. He doesn't yell at me, though. He's
real quiet lately. I think something's wrong with him,
but I don't know what. I'm a little worried, cause
before..before it all started to happen, me and him
were like best friends. We were really close. I think
kind of..he may be dissappointed in me."
"Did you do something to him? Or any of them?" he
asked.
"No. I just..I told them something." I said
shamefully. I sighed sadly. I missed my friends.
Brian put his hand on my arm. It somehow
comforted me. "You can trust me, Justin." he said.
"I'll be your friend. You can trust me, and I'll never
tell anyone if you don't want me to. There's nothing
you can say that well make me think of you different.
I mean, I told you I'm gay and you don't have a
problem with it. Like you said, it's the person, not
anything else. You're a nice guy and I want to be your
friend. I want you to be able to trust me."
     "I'm gay." I mumbled.
"I couldn't hear you." he said gently.
I looked up at him and sighed shakily. "Brian,
I'm gay."
     "You are?"
     I nodded.
He snorted. "Is _that_ your big secret?"
     I nodded.
He was shaking his head, smiling. "Well Justin,
it seems I have a secet for you too."
"And just what might that be?"
     "I already knew that."
"You already knew I was gay!" I yelped.
"Shush.." he said. I quieted. "Yes." he said.
     "How?" I whispered.
"I could sense it. And besides, you dropped
enough hints that I almost took cover."
     "Bri-an. Please don't joke around."
     "Okay, I'm sorry."
Silence. "So.." I said. "You're not going to tell
anyone, are you?"
"Not if you don't want me to."
     "I'd rather you didn't."
     "Okay, so I won't."
"Thank you." I let out a breath.
"No problem...are you going to come out to the
world?"
I shook my head. "Nope. Can't see why I should."
"I did. Nick did. It's better to be honest about
yourself."
"Yeah, well, do your bandmates hit you and beat
you up just because you're gay?"
     "Uh, that would be no."
"See. I just.." I sighed. "I hate my life lately.
The people I loved and cared about all hate me."
     "Have you told your parents?"
"Yeah. My dad hates me and my mom doesn't care
about me. They're divorced."
"Oh. Who else knows besides me, your band and
parents?"
     "No one."
     "That you know of."
     "Yeah...And please don't tell anyone." I added
quickly. "I really don't want to chance this getting
out. Then the guys would _really_ hate me. See,
they're scared, " I began to explain. "They think that
people don't like the Backstreet Boys anymore cause
you and Nick came out. But I looked into it later, and
sources say nsync and bsb are still tied." I looked at
Brian, and he nodded to confirm. "But my bandmates
think that if the world knew about me, they wouldn't
like nsync anymore, and we wouldn't be successful
anymore."
