Disclaimer: I don't know Nick Carter, and all the things that happen in

Chapter 7

DJ, laughin' and smilin' again.

	With a lot of persuasion, Colin managed to get Thursday off so he
could spend the whole day with Nick.  Since Colin hadn't taken a personal
day in over a year, his boss didn't put up much of a fight.

	Colin picked up Nick at the airport at 7 am that morning.  They
both fought the urge to make out right then and there, but the managed to

	"I guess the tour has tired you out?"  Colin asked as he squeezed

	"Yes, and there's a chance I might have to go on tour again with
the Backstreet Boys after my tour finishes."  Nick told him.

	Colin tried to hide the single tear that fell from his eye...he
knew that he wouldn't be seeing his boyfriend very often at all.  Why would
life be so cruel as to keep him from the one person he could be happy with?

	"Colin, I think I know what you are thinking...and you're wrong.  I
know I keep busy, but we will find a way to spend time together."  Nick

	"I hope you are right...I just want to be with you Nick."  Colin
told him.

	"I know that, come on."  Nick led Colin towards what he assumed was
the bed room...bingo he had chosen the door to...the bathroom.

	"I think your looking for this door."  Colin laughed pointing the
way to the bedroom.  "Unless, you want to take a shower first?"

	Nick thought about it for a moment, and realized that was a good
idea actually...the two hadn't seen each other naked before, and this would

he got older, so the two parted as friends.  Brian now was married to

	Nick confessed that part of the reason Brian and he didn't work out
was that same thing.  Nick and Colin would not make any decisions that day,
but the both promised they would not deny anything.  This seemed to satisfy
Colin very much.  The relationship was theirs anyway.  He didn't need
everyone in the world to know about it.  He just wanted to make sure he
never had to lie about it.  He knew only too well how much it hurts to lie
about matters of the heart.  He had once dated a closeted guy before he met
Peter.

	The next subject was when Colin would get to meet the other guys of
Backstreet Boys.  Nick told him that they would all be working on the new
album in the next month.  They made arrangements that evening for Colin to
fly out to meet them all in Orlando.  Colin insisted on paying for the
ticket, since he'd be staying at Nick's house while he was there.

	It would be another two weeks before they would see each other in
Orlando, so Colin and Nick spent as much time as possible holding each
other, and enjoying the feelings of new love.

	Neither, Colin or Nick knew just what they were getting into, but
they put their fate in their hearts...and their hearts lead them this far.
Colin hoped that the other guys would accept him, as they had Nick.

	The next morning was all too short, Colin had to have Nick at the
airport at six am.  He also had to go into work a few hours later.  It was
certainly an unpleasant end to such a lovely time.  "Colin I know the next
couple weeks will be hard, but I know it will be worth it when I see you
again."  Nick whispered to him as he was leaving.


	"I know, and you make sure to call me as often as you can."  Colin
whispered back.  Nick nodded with a half smile as he walked away.  Both men
felt there hearts grow 10 pounds heavier...knowing separating so far apart
was wrong...but that is how life must be sometimes.

	`I don't know how this happened, but I love you Nick Carter.
Please don't let this dream end...' Colin thought as he headed back towards
his car.
