ALSO NOTE: I will be drafted into the army on September 17th,
2002. Hopefully I'll be able to get the story out one chapter per week, but
don't be surprised if it stops for a month or two. Just to let you readers
know.

orientations of any member of the boyband N Sync, or any other character,
celebrity or otherwise. If you are under 18 or 21, or live in a country
where it's illegal to read something like this, leave, though I seriously
doubt you will. If you don't like the idea of two guys in a relationship
with each other, or having sex with each other, what are you doing here in
the first place?

Though maybe none of the characters will be appearing, ideas taken from
these places will show up:

Chapter 18 - The Big Date

I felt all the air rushing out of my lungs, and dizzy feeling as I
gasped for air and found nothing. The world was turning black.
"Let go, you're killing him!" I could hear someone shouting
faintly. Suddenly, a sweet burst of air surged into my lungs. I breathed in
deeply, and my vision became clearer. I gazed into the eyes of the person
who put me through that torture. I took a deep breath, choked, then said,
"Joy, I missed you too, but I don't think that kind of hug is entirely
necessary."
"Well, it's not my fault you're a wimp," Joy teased, sticking her
tongue out. She hugged me again, this time without the death grip. Then
Melvin pushed her aside. "My turn."
Melvin and I were rather touchyy-feely kind of guys, so we had
often hugged without a problem, but I didn't remember telling Scott about
that, so I just gave him a quick one and pushed away politely. Melvin and I
had always had a special bond, and he knew why I pushed him away, and he
winked and smiled, letting me know he wasn't offended. I turned to Reuben,
who raised his eyebrows questioningly. Reuben the macho man then put out
his hand. I grabbed it and shook it, feeling like I was meeting him for the
first time. I couldn't resist the urge. "Hello, Mr Robertson. Here on
business?"
Reuben laughed at the formal greeting, then grabbed me into a quick
hug after making sure no girls were watching. He had an image to uphold. He
turned and looked at Scott who was standing back to give my friends and I a
bit of space. He held out his hand. "I'm Reuben. Pleased to meet you,
err..."
Scott smiled and shook Reuben's hand. "I'm Scott. A pleasure to
meet you. Dylan talks about you guys all the time."
Joy grinned. "Wow, he doesn't have an accent! I can actually
understand him! Which part of Ireland are you from, Scott?"
Scott's grin matched Joy's both in intensity and brightness (She
ain't called Joy for nothing). "Actually, I'm from Seattle, but I'm here
training with some friends from school. We're practicing for the League."
He took her hand and kissed the back of it in a smooth, suave manner. Joy
blushed, then winked at me. "Ooh, a cute wizard, and a gentleman to boot. I
give him two thumbs up for class."
"Joey said that too," I laughed. "Got his seal of approval."
"You've got mine too," Joy laughed as Scott blushed. Reuben looked
over Scott, as though sizing up an opponent. He raised an eyebrow and shot
Scott a look I couldn't read. Scott nodded slightly as Reuben said, "Good
build, looks healthy."
"He's not a piece of beef steak, Reuben," I said. Reuben shrugged
and said simply. "He passes."
	"Thanks," Scott beamed. "I think."
I glanced over at Melvin. He grinned at me, then looked over at
Scott. He winked at me, and I guessed what he was going to do. I nodded my
head slightly, and Melvin grinned. He stretched his arms out and gave Scott
a giant bear hug.
"What the..." Scott said, his arms flailing as Melvin's sudden
charge caught him off balance. Melvin refused to release Scott from the
hug, and continued hugging him like they were old friends. Scott looked at
me, half-amused, half-shocked, then he slowly hugged Melvin back, a little
awkwardly at first, then more comfortably. Finally, Melvin released him,
stepped back and announced. "Passed. All systems go, Dylan, you can date
him tonight if you want."
The rest of us burst out laughing, then Scott offered to carry
their bags for them while I went ahead to get Aunt Sharon's station
wagon. We loaded the suitcases and luggage into the vehicle, and Reuben
joined me in the front while Scott sat behind and chatted with Joy and
Melvin, the three of them talking like old friends catching up on each
other. I was a little surprised to hear Melvin so vocal, and a little
embarrassed that Melvin and Joy were both telling Scott funny stories about
me. I slowly tuned them out and concentrated on driving. I would be
stopping them off at Kenneth's house, which was pretty near to my Aunt's
house. Melvin's elder brother Kenneth had stayed on in Ireland with his
wife, Anne, when Melvin's family had moved to the States after his dad's
death. Kenneth still lived in the old house where Melvin used to stay
because he wanted to keep it in memory of his father, and had offered to
let Melvin stay there because the house was built for ten, not two. They
would have a lot more space there than I had at my Aunt's house, but I
didn't mind. I loved my cousins and my siblings.
Reuben jerked me away from my thoughts. "So how are you doing?" He
asked in a low voice so the three at the back wouldn't hear.
"I'm fine," I said. Reuben nodded slowly. "And what about Scott?"
"What about him?" I asked, wondering where this was going.
"Do you really like him, or is he just the rebound guy?" Reuben
said seriously. I thought about it for a moment.
"I really do like him," I said. I turned into the road leading to
Riverstown. "I like him a lot."
"You're sure he's not the rebound guy?" Reuben asked. "Because he's
a nice enough guy, and I don't want you to be messing around with his
feelings."
"I really like him," I said truthfully. "He's not the rebound guy."
"He doesn't remind you of Justin?" Reuben continued to press. "Or
remind you of everything Justin is not?"
"Scott's his own person," I said patiently. I knew Reuben was just
doing his best to ensure my happiness. "Any traits similar to or different
from Justin's are purely coincidental."
Reuben smiled. "Okay then. But if you hurt him, I'll clobber you."
I frowned. "Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?"
"Not when it comes to my cousin, bub!" Reuben said comically. I
laughed.
"What's so funny?" Scott asked, leaning forward. "Did Reuben give
another of his 'if you hurt him, I'll clobber you' lines?"
"Just looking out for you, Cuz," Reuben said. He jabbed a thumb my
direction. "You be careful with him, or he'll break your heart. Or your
skull."
"I'm not THAT bad!" I protested. Scott ruffled my hair and sat back
down. Conversation behind resumed with "You're Reuben's cousin? Wow, how
are you related" and "Do you know any of Reuben's darker secrets?" Reuben
and I glanced at each other and shrugged at the same time.

It had been a few days since my friend had come down, and they had
been updated on the vampire situation after they had settled in. The
Flaming Filans and Riverstown Ragers were practicing our moves out on each
other as we practiced for the European Quidditch Minor League, which opened
tomorrow. Aithne had been called by the Referee Council and so Melvin was
acting as referee today at practice. Joy and Reuben had been lent brooms,
and after a brief flying lesson, they hovered over the game field as
observers. Our pitch was a private one, and had no seating, and that was
the only way Joy and Reuben could watch the game and have Melvin explain
the rules as he refereed us.
Melvin blew his whistle hard. "Penalty to Riverstown Ragers."
"That was a fair shot!" Rachel and I shouted at the same time. We
flew over to Melvin to argue over his obviously bad judgement call.
"I still don't get the penalty thing," I heard Joy say to
Reuben. "A penalty is an advantage?"
"I think that penalties are awarded to the team who was the target
of the foul," Reuben said. "It'a backwards system."
Seamus' broomstick floated down slowly beside Melvin, followed by
Laird's. Melvin looked at the two team captains.
"That was fair," Seamus said. Melvin shook his head. "Both Dylan
and Rachel were in the scoring area at the same time. Stooging's a foul."
"We weren't stooging," Rachel and I argued at the same time.
"They were not stooging," Laird agreed. He was the keeper for the
Riverstown Ragers, as well as their captain. "The shot was fair."
Melvin's face turned a bright red. "Whoops, bad call on my part
then." He grinned. "Continue the game."
We resumed the game with the quaffle in my possession, but from the
centre of the pitch instead of at the goal area. I shot ahead towards the
goal area, attempting to break the tie in my team's favour. It didn't
really matter about the scoring actually, but we were recreating the whole
game experience. Tomorrow, we faced the Slytherin team from Hogwarts, while
the Riverstown Ragers faced the Ravenclaw team. Because Scott, Malita and
Farah were all Hogwarts students, they had great ideas on the four teams'
various strengths and weaknesses. Fabian and Monique came from Tiernan, the
Wizard school in Ireland. Laird was a Hedge, like us, and Duke was a Squib,
meaning he was a Wizard-born Muggle. He was not completely powerless,
though, as his mutation gave him enhanced strength and speed, thus earning
him his spot as beater.
Scott was understandably reluctant to fight his housemates on the
pitch, but he didn't have a choice. He was supposed to be a reserve on the
Ravenclaw team, but he decided to join the Riverstown Ragers at Farah's
invitation (she was Malita's classmate and also Duke's sister) since
reserves never played (No exceptions, no reserve has ever played throughout
the history of Quidditch). But his knowledge of the team dynamics were a
great help to his team, and my team tried hard to copy their dynamics for
the sake of the Riverstown Ragers. The Ravenclaws loved complicated and
intricate plays, and some of their plans just made me dizzy trying to
understand how it benefitted their team. We followed their style anyway,
and were losing nicely a hundred and twenty to forty.
I flung the quaffle through the hoop furthest away from me, and
watched as Laird flew desperately towards the hoop, expecting me to score
through the closest hoop, which he was guarding. He managed to knock the
quaffle off course and it missed the hoop, but I had already left the
scoring area, and Shane, who had entered near to the off-course quaffle
grabbed it and passed it to Rachel as she came up from below. He flew out
of the scoring area as Rachel flew under Laird, and up behind him at a
steep incline. She tossed the quaffle upwards, then swung her broom in a
complete circle, hitting the quaffle. It flew uninterrupted through the
hoop, and our team cheered. Then a golden flash zoomed past me.
"Snitch!" I shouted at Casey. He turned around and saw me pointing,
but he still could not see the snitch. Not until the walnut-sized, winged
ball flew straight in between his eyes, striking his forehead with an
audible thunk. Casey quickly grabbed the snitch, and Melvin blew his
whistle, signifying the game's end.
"That was a completely anti-climatic win," Laird commented as we
touched down to the ground. "Talk about the luck of the Irish, for real."
"And you poor Scottish folks just can't compete," I grinned and
patted him on the back. "But it was a good game. I think you guys are ready
to whip Ravenclaw's ass, show them that Hedges aren't pushovers at all."
"I pity the Wizard or Witch who thinks Hedges are useless," Scott
said, coming up behind us, his broomstick resting on his shoulder. He
rested his arm on my shoulder. "Can I speak to you in private?"
"Sure," I replied. Laird nodded his head, waved and went on his
way. Scott smiled at me, his eyes twinkling expectantly. "Well, now we're
alone," he said uncomfortably.
"Yes, we are," I replied. Scott shuffled his feet nervously and
stared at the floor. "I, err... that is... Dylan, do you want to go out for
dinner tonight?"
I smiled, but before I could reply, Scott shook his head. "Man, I'm
a doofus, I got it all wrong."
I raised an eyebrow, amused. Scott's frowned and muttered something
under his breath, then turned to face me again. "Dylan, would you like to
go out for a date tonight? Something simple like dinner and a walk by the
river to see the stars."
My grin could have torn my face in half. "Sure, I'd love to!"
"Cool," Scott said, obviously relieved. He held my hands in his own
large ones for a while. "Then it's a date. I'll pick you up at six." He
turned to walk away, broomstick over his shoulder, the green and blue
Riverstown Ragers robes glittering in the sunlight, and his blonde hair
shimmering like gold.

"I have nothing to wear!" I complained as I paced back and forth in
front of my cupboard. Melvin, Rachel, Joy and Ryan watched me as I paced
about the room. Reuben was somewhere downstairs pounding away on the piano
he discovered in the living room. Casey was running an errand for Aunt
Sharon, and was at the store. I opened my cupboard, checking to see if some
nice new clothes had suddenly appeared in it that was suitable for
tonight. Finding nothing new, obviously, I plopped down on the already
over-crowded double bed. Ryan groaned and shifted closer to the edge,
looking dangerously close to falling off.
"I have nothing to wear," I sighed. Rachel rolled her eyes. "Just
say the word, bro."
I pouted, but finding no other alternative, I gave in. "Okay, I
need help."
I shuddered as four faces in the room instantly brightened. There
was a mad rush as they opened my cupboard and took all the clothes out and
began a fitting session, mixing colours and styles. They were deciding
everything right down to underwear, and I felt roughly like how Ryan felt
at his modelling sessions. Luckily, Casey's room had a curtain drawn across
a corner for him to change in since Aithne and Aunt Sharon both had a
rather irritating habit of not knocking. And he wouldn't be a guy if he
locked his door, would he?
I almost drew the line when Casey came home and started his
suggestions as well. He and Ryan decided that I should try on some of
Ryan's more sexy underwear. I felt a little uncomfortable with the idea of
wearing a pair of underwear my brother had once worn.
"Look, they've all been washed," Ryan said, a little pissed. "Do
you want me to soak them in alcohol or something to sterilise them as
well?"
I relented and ended up trying nearly everything ranging from tight
to extra tight. After they had decided which pair of socks and which pair
of underwear for me to wear, they started trying out with the clothes.
"No, no, no," Joy said. "He can't wear these pants if he's using
those socks. They'll clash."
"Hey, it's not like he's going to be looking at my feet all night,"
I protested. Joy shot me a scandalised look, as though I was breaking every
fashion law in the world. "I don't see what the big deal is," I muttered,
going over shirts with Rachel. It seemed like hours before Melvin and Casey
came up with the best combination of clothing which was a mixture of casual
and roughwear for the riverside. Finally, they set the outfit aside, and I
sighed with relief. "Finally, we're done."
"Not quite," Melvin said ominously. He and Ryan exchanged looks,
and Ryan went to his room and brought back a large bag that made clinking
noises.
"Here, we need to test out which type of cologne would be best,"
Melvin said. I groaned. Melvin and Ryan laughed (sadistically, I swear!!)
and began spraying various sprays on my clothes or on my body, and it took
another half an hour to get the right scent (which was actually a mixture
of four different scents) but after all that spraying, it didn't matter
what they chose, they all smelled the same anyway.
"Are we done?" I asked when Ryan kept all his bottles of cologne
away. Melvin shook his head. "You need to take a shower."
I took my shower as usual, and when I came out, Rachel, Joy and
Casey's eyes widened.
"Dat jus' won't do," Casey said, shaking his head.
"You are not going to have that kind of hair for a date," Rachel
added.
"Never ever," Joy agreed. "Looks like we need to work on his hair."
I nearly screamed as the pulled and styled and sprayed hair spray,
then washed it off and put gel, then washed THAT off. Finally, they reached
an agreement on which hairstyle I should have, and they let me change into
my clothes for the date. I stepped out from behind the curtain, satisfied
at last that I was ready. I thought I looked a little better than normal,
but I wasn't expecting looks of disapproval.
"Something's not right," Joy said to Rachel, who nodded vehemently.
"What's missing?" Ryan asked, scratching his head. Then the
imaginary lightbulb appeared above his head. "He needs make-up!"
I took a step back, shaking my head so rapidly and strongly that I
thought my neck would snap. "Nuh uh, no way, not a chance in hell! I'm not
wearing make-up."
"You know, that's kinda mild coming from you," Melvin
commented. "After all, you made the Nsync make-up artist cry."
"Yeah," Joy said. "The poor girl was crying because you shouted at
her."
I felt guilty, but I pushed it aside for now. "Hey, all I did was
tell her that I didn't want any make-up!"
"Not quite that nicely," Joy said. "And with a few well-chosen
vulgarities thrown in between."
I bristled with anger. "Hey, I apologised."
"You made a make-up artist cry even before they started work on
you?" Ryan said, an amused look appearing on his face. "That's real sad,
bro, real sad."
"It was my words that made her cry, not my face," I snapped at
Ryan's implication. "But that's in the past, and they didn't get any
make-up on me."

Rachel and Joy were really persistant, and I ended up leaving the
room with make-up so thick I didn't dare to smile. The only good thing was
that I still looked like I didn't have any make-up. Or at least it looked
that way to Joy and Rachel, but they didn't realise I washed all their hard
work off when I went to the kitchen to get a glass of milk. They were all
sitting on top of the stairs watching the front door, waiting for Scott to
arrive. When I exited the kitchen, all they could see was my back, so they
couldn't see my face was wet and make-up free. I straightened out my shirt
a little, and smoothed my hair, trying not to ruin my family's and friends'
hard work, otherwise the whole troop of them would swarm down the stairs on
me like a hive of angry hornets. I fidgeted neverously, wondering how long
Scott would take to arrive. Five seconds later, the doorbell chimed and I
opened the door excitedly. Scott was standing there with his hair combed
neatly, slightly gelled, and wearing a similar outfit to mine, except for
varying colours schemes and brand names. He smiled, and the scent on his
body smelled better for it. The evening sun seemed to cast a warm glow over
the land, and the clouds added to the atmosphere like never before.
Scott removed his hands from behind his back. "These are for you."
I smiled as he handed me a bouquet of flowers, easily found in any
garden across the country, but looking lovely. I heard Casey running down
the stairs, and before I knew it, he was at my side with a vase at the
ready. Scott and I laughed as Casey took the flowers and put them in the
vase and disappeared up the stairs again.
"I asked before I picked them," Scott said, taking me by
surprise. "And I could swear that after I asked, they straightened up and
brightened their colours just for you." He motioned with his head. "Come
on, let's go."
Scott led the way to his car, a Peugeot 206cc. I stopped outside
the door and stared at the car. Scott glanced quizzically at me. "Something
wrong?"
"No," I said, jumping over the door into the car (he had the top
down). "Just that I have the exact same car back in the States."
Scott smiled as he climbed into the driver's seat, and started the
engine. He turned to wave at Rachel, Joy, Melvin, Casey and Ryan as he
began to drive. The five of them were all crowded at the front door, trying
to be as inconspicuous as possible and failing miserably. When Scott waved,
the quintet quickly ran into the house and slammed the door. Within
seconds, all their faces were staring out the window. I rolled my eyes. "My
family is weird."
"It's cute in a way, though," Scott laughed as we sped down the
road, the wind blowing in our faces (and consequently ruining my
hair-do. Not that I cared). We drove in silence until we reached our
destination, the bank of the river Unshin. Scott pulled up under a tree,
and took out a picnic basket and mat from the back seat of the car. We got
out of the car and he spread the mat over a patch of grass in the meadow
next to the calm river. He began to unpack the contents of the picnic
basket and laid them out on the mat.
The gentle breeze and calming sound of the river added to the
beauty of the sunset over the trees, setting a romantic scene over the
area. Words seemed out of place, and both Scott and I felt it. We ate
dinner in silence, but it was a comfortable silence. The food wasn't
perfect, but Scott had made it on his own (judging by the slightly burnt
toast and chicken). I would have to make dinner for him some other time, I
decided as I bit into the toasted sandwich. We took a while to finish
dinner as we spent more time gazing and smiling at each other than biting
into the food, but finally we were done. Scott wordlessly packed everything
up and stuffed it into the basket, and placed the basket back into the
car. He held out his hand, and I took hold of it, and we walked by the
riverbank. It was nearly dark, but the full moon was already out. Scott and
I took a slow walk down by the edge of the river, hand in hand. Every now
and then, we would stop and look at colourful or interesting pebbles.
Scott bent down to pick up another one he found. He held it up to
show me the small, smooth stone with a natural hole in the centre. "How do
they get this way?"
"The river erodes them that way," I replied. Scott nodded and was
about to toss the holed stone into the river, but I stopped him with a
smile, and placed the stone into the pocket of my cargo pants (yes, I only
own pairs of cargo pants. I need the pockets).
"It's a fairy stone," I smiled. "If you find any more, pass them to
me."
Scott nodded and took my hand again as we continued our walk down
the riverbank. We mostly just drank in each others' presence in silence,
stopping to talk every now and then. We found many more holed stones, but I
stopped keeping them after the first fifteen. Soon it was dark and the
stars were out with the moon, shining like fairy lights in the sky. Scott
and I stopped walking and sat down on the grass and looked up at the stars,
still holding hands.
"They're beautiful," Scott sighed, breaking the silence.
"Just like you," I said, smiling broadly at him. Scott blushed a
little and tilted his head in a really cute way. He raised our joined hands
and leant to kiss mine, then looked back at the stars. My heart was
pounding rapidly, and I could feel my hands becoming clammy and sweaty. It
was now or never, I decided.
"Scott," I whispered. Scott turned to look at me. Before he could
react, I leaned forward and kissed him. Soon we were both kissing, our
tongues playing with each other in our mouths. Scott broke the kiss and
began to nibble on my earlobe, and I gasped at how good it felt. Reaching
out, I put my hands under the hem of his shirt and began to rub his
chest. Scott moaned softly, leaning back slightly. I took advantage of that
and pulled his shirt over his head, exposing his muscular torso. He smiled
playfullly and began to slowly unbutton my shirt, removing it and tossing
it onto his own discarded garment. We kissed again, our pulses racing. I
unbuttoned and unzipped the front of his pants, then slowly pulled it
down. He stretched his legs out and I pulled his pants off completely,
throwing it onto our pile of clothes. He was sitting in front of me, his
muscles highlighted by the silver moonlight, wearing nothing but a pair of
plain black cotton boxers. I stood up and removed my cargo pants, stones
knocking each other in my pocket as I tossed it on the growing pile of
fabrics. Both of us were rock hard, and my silk boxers had a spot of precum
on it. Scott joined me in standing, and gave me another kiss, rubbing my
butt as our tongues played again. My arms were around his body, both hard
and soft at the same time. I pulled his boxers down and he kicked them to
one side, then slowly removed mine. We stood there at the edge of the
river, dressed in moonlight and kissing. Slowly Scott lowered his head and
began to lick my nipples, nibbling them as he licked. Then he got to his
knees and kissed the head of my cock, slowly licking off the drop of precum
on the tip. I moaned in pleasure as he licked the underside of my cock,
then slowly went down on my dick, taking the entire length into his hot
mouth. He moved slowly, painfully slowly, up and down the length of my
cock, and I moaned in pleasure. I ruffled my hands through his hair as he
sucked. Then he stopped and looked up at me, winking as he lay back on the
grass. I knelt in front of his hairless hole and asked, "Are you sure?"
"Take me," he breathed. "I'm yours."
My cock lubricated with his saliva, I slowly positioned it at his
entrance. I looked at him again for confirmation, and he nodded. Slowly, I
pushed the head of my dick into his tight hole, and he moaned. I moved
slowly, taking my time to push into him until my whole length was inside
him. Then I realised that I didn't have a condom.
"Scott," I said. "We have no protection."
"I'm a virgin," he said softly. "Or was a virgin. You told me you
are too, so I didn't bring any. I want your cum inside me."
I nodded, then slowly pulled my dick out until only the head was in
him, then slowly thrusted back inside him. Scott moaned loudly and writhed,
clenching his butt a little and massaging my cock, giving it a pleasure I
had never experienced before. The two of us were breathing in sharp, short
breaths, and covered in a thin layer of sweat.
"Faster," Scott said through clenched teeth as I thrusted in
slowly. I nodded and thrust into him harder, our moans of pleasure mixing
together. I increased my speed, loving the feel of my dick in his ass. I
leaned forward and kissed his forehead as I continued to thrust into his
virgin hole.
"Dylan," his head rolled as he moaned. "Dylan."
Then his butt clenced unexpectedly, and he began to shiver as ropes
of cum shot from his cock, drawing white lines across his chest and abs. I
was getting closer, I could feel it. Scott moaned and scooped his cum off
with his fingers, then held it up to my face. I took his fingers into my
mouth, licking off his bittersweet cum, playing with it in my mouth for a
while before swallowing. As the tasty fluid ran down my throat, I stopped
thrusting, my cock deep in his hole. I tried to moan, but his fingers were
still in my mouth, and I exploded into him. He moaned as each spurt shot
into his ass, and removed his fingers. I was exhausted, and I collapsed on
top of him, our mouths connecting into another kiss. I turned us on our
sides, facing each other, my half-hard dick still in his hole. I hugged him
and we stared into each others' eyes for a while before falling asleep.
