Twist and Turns
Chapter 4

Once I reached the Oak Tree I collapsed on the ground. This was the only
place that I could find comfort. I gazed at the small marker lovingly and
reached out and caressed the carving of the child cradled in the arms of
his father.

"Ohh Nathan, what would you have me do?" I asked not seeing the figure walk
up behind me.

"Who is Nathan?" Brian asked as he knelt down beside me. He reached out and
touched the marker. "This looks like a grave marker," he commented.

I didn't answer at first. This was my little corner, my corner of the world
and I wasn't ready to let any one in just yet. I stand up and walk
away. Brian gets up and follows me at a distance. I keep walking hoping
that he would go away. But he didn't. 'Damn him! Can't he see that I want
to be left alone?' I shout in my head. Finally I stop and let him catch
up. "Do you really want to know who Nathan is?" I asked.

"Only if you want to tell me. I won't push. But first I want to know what
happened to you and Kevin. What did he do to you?" he asks.

"It was nothing Brian, just some confusion is all. Don't worry about it," I
assure him.

"Nothing my ass, now something happened in that room! Now tell me!" he
shouted.

"He kissed me alright! Is that what you wanted to hear? My wife hasn't been
dead for 24 hours yet and your cousin puts the moves on me. There, are you
happy?" I yell back tears rolling down my cheek. He stands there in
complete shock and than he gets angry. He started walking towards the house
in a fast pace. I run up and jump in front of him to stop him. "Brian don't
do it," I pleaded.

"That Jackass! How could he do something like that? I mean what was he
thinking? I'm going to kill him!" shouted Brian as he resumed walking
towards the house. I grabbed his arm but he jerked it away.

"Brian, stop!" I yelled. That worked, he came to a halt and sighed
loudly. I walked up to him and looked him in the eye. He was mad. He was so
mad that he was shaking. "I want you to know something before you go
screaming in there," I said looking at my feet.

"What?" he demanded. I turned around and walked back to the oak tree and
sat down under it. Brian sat down beside me.

"I kissed him back. I mean at first I resisted than I didn't. Damn it Brian
I wanted that kiss more than anything in the world," I sobbed pulling my
knees up and hiding my face in my arms. This time Brian honored my need to
be alone. I just sat there under that oak tree next to Nathan. I noticed at
some point that the sun had gone down and the brisk fall air had a chill to
it. I shivered and got up and walked back to the house. I walk up the front
steps and onto the porch. I noticed that Kevin was sitting in one of the
Rocking chairs. I walk over to him and sat next to him. We watched Boomer
chase a cat up the tree. I looked over at Kevin and was shocked to see
tears streaming down his cheek.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I'm so sorry. I had no right to kiss you today. I mean what was I
thinking? Your wife's body isn't even cold yet. You probably hate me now,"
he sniffled. God he was so cute when he did that.

"Kevin, it's alright. Really it is. Truth is Kevin I wanted that kiss as
much as you did. That's why I ran like I did. Not because you kissed me but
because I realized that although my wife has only been dead for less than a
day that I love you." I say with conviction. Kevin looks up at me in
complete shock. "That's right you lunk head I love Kevin Richardson," I
smile. He smiles and gets up and walks over to me. He kneels down and takes
my hand in his and looks me in the eyes. I was lost in them I mean you
could easily get lost in eyes like that.

"I love you too, Jason. But neither of us is ready for a relationship like
this. I mean I want to try. So let's take it real slow at first. Because I
don't want to do anything that you are not ready for. How does that sound?"
he asks with that killer smile of his. I lean forward and kiss him
again. This time I welcome his tongue as it probes my mouth. My tongue
probes his mouth too. It wasn't a long kiss just a short one. But what a
kiss. I was on cloud nine! Kevin loved me and I loved him. All was right
with the world. We hear a cough and we pull apart and look up to see Brian
standing there in the doorway.

"Well I see that my little talk helped you Kevin," he said as he sat in one
of the chairs. "So Jason back to my original question. Who is Nathan?"

"Nathan, Nathan who?" Kevin asked Brian.

"Nathan has something to do with that grave marker under that oak tree out
there," he replied.

I sighed it looked like I wasn't going to get away from this. The secret
had to come out. "Nathan is my son. My first son," I started. I saw shocked
looks on both of their faces I didn't stop. I couldn't stop. If I did would
never finish the story. "When I was 17 I fell in love with a girl. We had
sex and she got pregnant. She wanted an abortion I didn't. I tried
everything to save my child's life. I even tried to get a restraining order
put on the unborn child to stop her from having an abortion. It actually
worked for 24 hours. Than the order was overthrown and she had the abortion
any way. I petitioned the court for the body and I had it buried
here. Nathan is my little angel. I talk to him when I'm down." I stopped
talking and looked up. They were staring at the ground shaking their heads.

"I never thought of Abortion as a Fathers problem," mumbled Kevin.

"Nobody ever does Kevin. In this world all they are concerned about is the
Mother's right. They don't care about the child's right or the father's
right. When it comes to having a child the father has very little rights. I
found that out the hard way. I mean here I was ready to give everything I
had to that little child and the courts wouldn't let me. My child died
because I wasn't chaste. I let my body control me and not me control my
body. And a small innocent child had to pay for one night of lust." I
finished the story. I was surprised that I wasn't in tears. Before I
would've been but not tonight. The door opens and the butler steps out to
tell us that dinner is served. We all file in to the dinning room to
eat. This time I do eat. Not much but just enough to satisfy Kevin
inquisitive watch. After dinner we retired to living room. There was a
chill in the room so I bellowed for Niles, the Butler.

"Yes sir?" he inquired.

"Could you light the fire place please?' I asked.

"Certainly sir," he replied walking over to the coffee table and picking up
a remote and pushed a button and the gas fire place was lit. He than left
the room. "Will you be needing any thing else sir?"

"No that is fine for tonight Niles you can go on home." I replied.

I waited ten seconds before looking at my guests. They just sat there with
shocked looks on their faces.

"What? I can't ask my butler to light the fire place?" I asked smiling.

"But the remote was right where you could reach it," said Kevin shaking his
head.

"Yea and you bellowed for him. Don't you have a bell or a buzzer or
something for him?" asked Brian.

"You have to understand Niles. I tried doing things for myself when I first
hired him. He got so mad that he almost walked out on me. I tried the bell
thing to and I found it in the bottom of the swimming pool. So we came to
an agreement. I let him do his job and I don't use the a bell or buzzer."
I laugh. We sit up and talk some more. I realize that I am tired and I
excuse myself and head up the stairs to my room. I walked by our room and
paused there. I must have stood there for fifteen minutes trying to decide
whether to go in or not. I shake my head and turn towards the guests
rooms. Opening the door I walk in and get ready for bed. I finally drift
off to sleep.

"Jason, Jason," calls a women's voice. It was my wife. I opened my eyes
and saw her standing there at the foot of my bed. Strangely I was not
afraid. 'This must be a dream, that's it I'm dreaming.' I think to myself.
Pam just smiles and shakes her head. "No Jason you're not dreaming. This
is really me. I've come back to save you," Tears come to my eyes as I
stand up to go to her. She holds up her hand to stop me. "You're not
allowed to touch me, I am sorry those are the rules."

"I miss you," I sobbed.

"I'm always here, you know," she said. She walks to the french doors and
they open for her and we step out onto the balcony. "I always did love the
way the moon shines on the house and front lawn,"

"You said something about saving me. What did you mean by that?" I asked
walking up beside her.

"Kevin is right for you. Don't drive him away," she advised looking up at
me and smiling. I nod my head yes.

"He is great isn't he? I mean I know he is a man but I love him so much,
but I feel so guilty. I'm betraying you and your memory," I reply looking
down at my feet.

"You need to stop thinking like that. My body is dead and I have moved on
to a place where you can't follow me. I hold no ill will towards you. You
have always been faithful to me even when I knew it was hard to do," she
said.

"You mean you knew?" I asked shocked.

"I was your wife you know. We know these things," she replied.

"I'm so sorry I put you through that." I replied.

"Don't you dare apologies to me. You loved me with all of your heart. You
gave everything you had in this marriage and more. You were never
unfaithful to our wedding vows. And look what you did for our son. He
adored you and he still does," she said with a smile. We stand together
not as husband and wife but as Mortal and Immortal she had moved on and she
gave me her blessing to do the same.

"Thank you for what you did." I said looking down at her.

"Know that I will always love you and that I am always with you. Good bye
my love," she smiled and slowly vanished before my eyes. I reach out and
touched the air where she was standing it was warm and smelled of Honey
Suckle. (Wife's favorite flower.) I weep silently letting the tears fall
to the floor. I weep for joy not sadness. I knew that Pam was in heaven
watching over Kevin and I. I had to laugh a little. She was still up to
her Match Making schemes. This time she did it for me. That was just like
her. I walked along the balcony to Kevin's room. I stood at the door and
looked in. he was in bed laying on his back. His arm was draped over the
top of his head. His face wore a small frown as if he was thinking about
something. God he was awesome. I stood there for over an hour watching
over him. At some point I wondered back into my room and looked around and
suddenly realized that I no longer needed to be there. I walk out of the
guest room and walk to our room and open the door. Her scent flooded my
sences and I walked in crawled under the blankets and drifted off to sleep.

Chapter Five

Kevin wakes up the next morning and climbs out of bed. He walks out of the
room and onto the balcony and promptly walks back in and grabs a robe and
slips it on and goes back out side. He walks over to where Jason's room
was. He looks in the room and sees the empty bed. 'He should be sleeping.
He's had a rough few days,' thinking to himself. Turning back into his
room he slips on his slippers and walks out into the hallway. After
spending almost fifteen minutes wondering around the house looking for
Jason. Finally giving up he walks into the kitchen to look for Coffee. He
walks in and spots Brian sitting at the breakfast bar drinking coffee.

"Coffee, must have Coffee," moans Kevin shuffling over to the pot and pours
himself a cup. Walking over to where Brian is sitting and sitting down
beside him. "Have you seen Jason this morning?" he asked.

"No, I haven't, I stopped by his room and knocked but got no answer. I
looked in and didn't see him. Maybe he is out for a walk."

"No he is not," Kevin said shaking his head no. "I've already looked."

"Some one looking for me?" I ask walking into the kitchen. "Oh I see you
guys have found the coffee." I poured me a cup and sat down across from
the two cousins.

"Where were you?" asked Kevin. "We were both looking for you."

"I was in bed asleep. Why where would I be?" I asked.

"But I stopped by your room and you weren't there," Kevin replied.

"That's because I was sleeping in our room." I stated. Both of them stop
drinking coffee with their cups half way to their mouths. They both had
the same expressions on their faces. I laugh at them. "Don't worry, it
was alright. Everything is alright now," I assured them. We move into the
dinning room where Niles had breakfast set up buffet style. We each
grabbed a plate and started piling on food.

"Alright now I know something is wrong. Look at the food your putting
away?" laughs Kevin.

"Oh that reminds me, NILES!!!" I yell. Niles comes running around the
corner.

"Do you have that surprise for Kevin?" I asked.

"Yes sir right away," said Niles and he turned and headed into the kitchen.
A couple of seconds later he emerges with a covered plate and sets it
beside Kevin's plate. Kevin looks up at me with a question on his face and
slowly lifts up the lid and busts up laughing.

"Cream chipped beef on toast," he laughs shaking his head. Than he puts
the cover back on the plate.

"What? Your not going to eat it?" I asked shocked. Unknown to Kevin,
Brian had already told me that Kevin like me could not stand the stuff. So
I decided to get him back for what he did to me in the hospital. By this
time Brian couldn't hold it back any more. He to busts up laughing.

"Ha Ha guys very funny. What else did you tell him Brian?" asked Kevin
pushing the plate away.

"I'll never tell," snickered Brian taking a bite out of his bagel. Just
than the phone rang and Niles picked it up and handed it to me. Kevin
rolls his eyes and smiles. Niles glares at him and stomps off. Brian
laughs almost spitting out his coffee.

"Hello this is Jason," I said into the phone.

"Yes, Mr. Gibson, this Mr. Cambel at the funeral home. We wanted to know
if we should send the limo out to your place to pick you up," said
Mr. Cambel.

"No Jack, I'll have my driver drives the family limo in. Send your limo
out to pick up my family and Pam's Family. I'll meet you in the church at
11:00," I instructed.

After breakfast we head up to our rooms to shower and get ready for the
double funeral. I was in my shower showering when I heard the door open.
Thinking it was Niles I turned off the water opened the door and grabbed a
towel and wrapped it around my waist. I than walked into the bedroom.
There standing in the middle of my room staring at me was Kevin. Now I
admit it I never really thought that I was good looking. I did work out on
a daily basis and I ate healthy so my body was toned. I walk up to him and
reach up and closed his mouth. "What did I tell you about that mouth. One
of these days a fly is going to fly right in there," I scolded. No
response, waving my hand in front of his face. "Hello, Kevin, are you in
there?" I laugh.

"God, you are so beautiful," he whispered reaching out and placing his hand
on my chest.

"Uh Kevin, maybe we shouldn't be doing this right now. I mean we do have a
funeral to get ready for," I stammered half heartedly. He just looked into
my eyes and leaned forward and our lips touched. He took my face in his
hands and the kiss intensified. His tongue slid into my mouth probing all
the hidden areas. I moaned and wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled
him to me. I could feel his erection pressing against mine. Our hips
ground against each other causing each other to moan. His mouth left mine
and travled to my neck he continued his trek down ward until he reached my
pecs. Here he paused to pay attention to the nipples gently biting causing
electric shocks to travel through my body. He looked up at me and smiled
and continued to assault my body with his mouth. Finally reaching my abs
covering them with small kisses. Taking the edge of towel in his teeth he
removed the towel. It was quickly discarded. He sat back and admired me
for a moment. Reaching up took hold of my cock. His touch sent shivers up
my spine. I closed my eyes and breathed in. "Kevin I--,"

"Shh, don't talk. Just feel," he ordered. He slowly lowered his head and
engulfed my entire cock in on gulp.

"OHH God Kevin!" I moan. His assault on my cock quickened as his head
bobbed up and down. I knew I wouldn't last long it had been so long since
I had been intimate with any one. I could feel the orgasm growing and soon
realized that I would soon be beyond control. "Kevin I'm close," I warned.
He just smiled and picked up his pace. I loose it and let loose shot after
shot of hot cum down his waiting throat. He swallows most of it. A small
amount falls on his chin. My limp cock finally falls out of his mouth. He
stands and leans forward to kiss me. Our lips meet and his mouth opens and
I can taste myself. It is the most erotic feeling I had ever felt. Our
kiss ends and my tongue travels to his chin and I clean up the last drop of
my seed. He smiles and breaks away.

"Man that was incredible," I sighed reaching and touching his face. He
leans into my touch and kissed the palm of my hand. "I guess I should get
dressed," I say.

"Can I stay and watch?" he asked.

"Sure if you want to," I reply getting up and moving to my closet. I open
it up and grab my black suit and black silk shirt. I also grabbed my black
silk tie. I hold them up for inspection. Kevin nods approvingly and I
start getting dressed. When I finished we head down stairs to meet Brian.
He looks up and nods approvingly as well.

"Well I guess it is time to get to the church," I say as I head towards the
door. I reached for handle and it started again. My hand started to shake
and the tears came soon after. I collapsed on the marble floor. Kevin was
at my side in a heart beat helping me back up. I held onto him like a life
line.

"You can do this. You know that?" he asked soothingly. I nodded. We
walked out of the house together. The driver held open the door and we got
in and drove off to the church. When we reached the front gates as
expected the press was there. Kevin asked the driver to stop. He got out
and walked to the front of the limo and addressed the crowd.

"Mr. Gibson would like to thank you for coming today. He would also like
to thank everyone for their kindness. He does have one request though.
Please respect his family's need for privacy. The Gibson and Smith Family
has suffered a great loss. They need time to heal and we ask that you
respect their wishes. Thank you that is all." He said to the crowd. He
ignored the shouted questions as he got back into the car. In about
fifteen minutes we arrive at the front of the Church. We get out and fall
in behind the two casketts. Finally we are seated in the front pews. The
church is filled to capacity over half was the press. The Priest got up
and requested that the press please leave the church. Than the rest of the
invited guests were allowed in. finally the mass was started. At the
close of the mass I get up and walk to the pulpit. I look out over the
congergation. I see all of my friends and family staring back at me. The
one face that stands out is Kevin.

"My family would like to thank you for all of your love and support. You
will never know what it means to us. We come here today in the midsts of
tragedy to say farewell and bury the mortal remains of Pamela Gibson and
Timothy Gisbosn. As I look out over all of you I see how much my wife and
son was loved. We are here to grieve and to celebrate the lives of my wife
and son. We grieve because we will miss them. We celebrate because we
know that they are in much better place. Pam would not want us to grieve
because of her death. She would to move on with our lives. My son would
not us to grieve because of his death. He to would want us to move on with
our lives. So in their memory let us do that. Let us move on with our
lives as they would want us to. So in the words of my wife. "You're only
here for a short while so enjoy life," I said and than made my way back to
my seat. To my surprise Kevin and Brian got up walked to the front of the
church. They paused at the casketts and bowed there heads in silent
prayer. Than they walk up to the front of the church.

"I'm Kevin and this my cousin Brian. We are here as friends of Jason.
Although we did not know his wife and son we know that they were great
people," turning to me, "Jason we are sorry for your loss and we grieve
with you and we celebrate with you as your wife and son would want us to.
We would also like to pay tribute to your wife and son's life in the only
way we know how and that through song." Kevin stated. With that said Kevin
and Brian broke into song singing Amazing Grace. My wife's favorite hymn.
I listen to Kevin's voice so clear and strong. You could hear Brian's
voice to but I was concentrating on Kevin's. He sang with such emotion it
wasn't long before I tears rolling down my face. They finished the song
and sat back down in the pew.

The rest of the day was a blur for me. After the service at the grave site
the house was opened up for the guests. I sat in the main gathering room
and greeted my guests and made them welcome. Kevin and Brian turned
themselves into servers and helped Niles out in the Kitchen and with coffee
and drinks. It was late that afternoon when the last guest left. Finally
I was alone. I find myself at the oak tree again. This time it is not
because of sadness or guilt it is because of relief. A chapter had closed
in my life and a new one had opened. I had lost two great loves, my wife
and son but I gained another love. My wife had found a way to get to me
and release me from our vows and to let me know that all would be alright.
I reached out again to stroke the child's face on the marker and said a
silent prayer and got and headed towards the house. I heard the screech of
tires on the drive way and saw the head lights. The car came to a stop and
the door opens and out climbs Sam my Cousin.

"Sam what are you doing here?" I asked. He just stood there looking at me
for a moment. I start walking towards him. I see him reach into his coat
and pull out a gun. "Sam you don't want to do this." I warned.

"She would still be alive if you had just stayed away. Now she is dead and
it's your fault!" he screamed. He pointed the gun at me and fired three
shots. I felt the impact but strangely felt no pain. I vaguely remember
falling to the ground and heard the car speed away. I see Kevin's face as
he is screaming for Brain to call an ambulance. I reached and touch is
face and I say. "I love you Kevin and I always will." Than all is black.
