Casey was a timid young man at the age of barely 18.

He'd grown up too quickly for a boy his age but had
coped through everything. Now he was living in an
`okay' apartment with his boyfriend Tim. Tim worked in
some law firm and had endless meetings. Sometimes the
meetings that went on over his days off, and very
early in the morning made Casey curious, but he loved
hi boyfriend. He trusted him.

Casey worked in a department store. He didn't earn
much money and considering he got the highest English
grade in his class, it wasn't the job he had wanted.

Casey was a shy man that was made more obvious with
his boyish complexion. Chocolate brown eye's got him
little attention. His thick, short and slightly
red/brown hair fit in with everything else about
Casey. He was boring. He thought it about himself, and
knew it. He was not a tall man, maybe 5'10, which
complimented his weight of 150 lbs. Casey was slim and
had little definition.

It was due to this and how he was treated by people,
that gave him so little confidence. He couldn't
believe someone like Tim would want him. Tim was
around 26, a successful lawyer, which was still paid
little according to Tim.

Tim was his life. Casey went to work at 7 in the
morning, came home at 11 at night. It was fortunate as
with Tim's schedule he came home at that time as well,
so Casey was able to cook Tim dinner before they went
to bed.

He didn't have any friends, but having Tim was enough.
He had his job, and his boyfriend. It was a simple
life but enough for Casey.

Dropping his coat and keys on the table Casey sighed.
He was later home than usual tonight. It was past
midnight and he was worried that Tim hadn't eaten.

He played his messages and sat down his hands rubbing
his eyes as he listened.

-Beep-

"Mr Hampton, this is your last warning regarding the
rent. I want it by 5pm tomorrow or you will be packing
your bags."

-Beep-

"Eh..sorry, wrong number."

-Beep-

"Casey...it's Tim. I'm sorry to be doing this over the
phone but..." The voice paused.

//Oh no, he's breaking up with me!// Casey thought in
horror. Tears already building up.

"...I'm going on a work/vacation. I'm at the airport as
I speak. It's only for a three weeks, honey... a month
at the most. Sorry to just leave like this, especially
as it's your birthday next week but it's my job."

At this point Casey was having trouble breathing. He
was relieved that he wasn't been left, but saddened.
He'd spent most of his life alone, and hoped that now
finally he'd be able to enjoy one of his birthdays.

"Sorry, again honey. I'll seeya when I see you." There
was a small bleep indicating that was the end of his
messages.

//I told Tim to pay the rent. I put the money in his
hand.// A voice in his head thought.

//He works hard! You can't make him do everything!//
Another voice argued.

Casey sighed once more before pulling himself up and
heading for the bedroom.

After sitting only for a few minutes Casey picked up
the phone.

"Hello, I'd like to book a cruise for as soon as
possible, please." Casey ask, his voice as timid as
always.

"In an hour?" Casey asked, his voice raised. "No,
that's fine. Thank you very much." Casey spent several
minutes giving him his payment details. His name,
address, what room he wanted etc until the woman at
the other end of the line seemed happy.

"Thanks again." Casey finished.

Casey didn't know what he was doing. He never did
things like this, out of the blue. Something was
telling him to pack his bags. To go on this cruise and
enjoy himself. It took him about an hour before he was
set, making sure he left a note and some money in an
envelope outside the Landlords door, not wanting to
wake him.

(Twenty Minutes Later)

Casey was boarding the Cruise Liner, and was in the
main entrance at the top of the stairs when a Cruise
employee approached him.

"Excuse me." The man said his voice
sounding-disgusting superior.

"Yes?" Casey asked, turning to see the man. He was
taller than Casey, which instantly put Casey on edge.
Looking up at the smug officer Casey lowered his eyes,
and his voice turned even quieter.
"Is there a p-problem?"

"Yes, there is. People who are-somebody are coming,
and they don't want people like...you, bothering them."
The officer finished, happy with what he'd done.

"I-I-I'm s-s-s-sorry s-sir. I'll b-be g-g-g-oing to my
r-room." Casey quickly turned and headed for the exit,
bumping into a group of men as his head was still
lowered. The force was enough to knock him backwards
on to the floor.

A large hand came in front of his face. He looked up
and saw the most beautiful eyes in his life. A rich
green in colour, they shone like emeralds as they
gazed into Casey's eyes.

"I'm sorry. We weren't looking where we were going."
Said the deepest, most sexy voice he'd ever heard.

"C-C-Casey." Casey finally said, wanting to slap his
head at how stupid he must sound.

Lance didn't know whether to feel bad, or excited. The
guy was good looking, and his stutter only made him
cuter. He had a vulnerability that could be crushed so
easily.

"Well, Casey," Lance began again, pulling Casey up to
his feet. "Sorry again. How about we apologise by
getting you a drink?" Lance asked with a smile.

"I-I can't." Casey replied, simply.

Lance tried to hide the sadness he felt before
speaking. "Here with your partner? I understand..."

Lance continued at the same time Casey had began to
speak over him. "No, Timmy couldn't make it, i..."
Realising what he had said he covered his mouth.
"I-I-I'm sorry...I-I" Casey's stutters were growing
worse which made Lance want to comfort him even more.

"Hey man. Don't worry about it, it's cool. So why
can't you come have a drink with us?" Lance was
thrilled with the news, but let down once more
discovering the young guy had a boyfriend. He looked
too young to drink but it didn't matter.

"I c-can't. T-T-The man o-over there said t-t-that
s-s-s-some important p-people were coming a-and I
h-had to l-leave." Casey finally finished. Blushing
profusely at how bad he sounded, and with the rest of
the guys staring at him made it worse.

"He said that to you?" Lance said, enraged. His pale
skin was flushed red with anger as he stormed over to
the man who had done this to his new friend.
