JT stated as he picked up his kitten and walked into the kitchen to get a cup of coffee. "I wonder where the others are?" Reading a letter he found taped to the refrigerator, he found out where the others were. As JT poured himself a cup of coffee, the mutant detection alarm buzzed, signaling him that a mutant was in the vicinity. Putting the cat and his cup of coffee down, JT ran to the secret elevator in the hallway and rode it down to the Command Center. "Computer, Login." JT stated as the computer scanned the retina of his eye so he could gain entrance into the Command Center. = Good morning Psion. An unknown mutant has been detected in downtown Orlando and said mutant is projecting energy. = "What type of energy?" JT asked of the computer. = Unknown Psion. = "Can you pinpoint any other X-Sync members?" JT asked. = Catastrophe, Spirit, and Wildcat are at Jive Entertainment. Echo and Pull have left using X-Jet1. = "Where are they?" JT asked. = Jet just touched down in Maui. = "I guess they needed to get away with all that has happened. Can you give me the current location of that unknown mutant?" JT asked. "The mutant is currently at Jive Entertainment. = "What!! Where is Channel and Blaze?" JT asked. = Channel isn't wearing his communicator and Blaze is in New York in the Brooklyn area. = "Scan for Channel's mutant signature then. I will deal with the Joey situation later." JT screamed. = Scanning for Channel...This may take a few minutes. = "Alert me when you find him." JT stated as he faded away. // Downtown Orlando -- Jive Entertainment // "Maybe we need to do that again Josh." Justin stated as he and JC were rehearsing a song for an upcoming charity event. "Jus, we got problems here. I am sensing something strange." JC stated. `Hi guys, I know about the problem and I am handling it. Don't you guys do anything; just keep doing what you are doing. Don't do anything to exposed yourselves.' JT spoke to JC and Justin telepathically. "I guess we don't have to worry about it." JC stated. "I hope it's nothing bad, I don't want JT to get hurt or tire himself out. The last couple of days have been wonderful and relaxing." Justin stated. `I will be okay Justin. Don't worry about me.' JT spoke telepathically to Justin as he spotted the person he was looking for. `I got work to do. I will catch you later handsome.' "JT has found the strange person, he will talk to us later about it." Justin stated as a smile crept across his face. "What are you smiling for Curly?" JC asked. "Oh no reason." Justin stated. "Go ahead and tell me or do you want me to pull it out of you?" JC asked as he wiggled his eyebrows. "Alright fine I will tell you. I would rather tell you than have you going through my mind looking at my deepest thoughts." Justin stated. "You have to promise that you want tell the other guys and you won't hound me about this ever again. Do you promise?" "Yeah yeah I promise." JC stated. "Me and JT made love for the first time last night." Justin stated as JC snapped his head around with his eyes bugging out, starring at Justin. "You didn't." JC stated. "We did and it was so wonderful." Justin stated as he started smiling wider. "The way you look I guess you did." JC stated. "You two have only known each other for little over a week and already you are sleeping together?" JC asked. "Well we didn't plan it to happen. We where watching television and we just started kissing and then well, we just did it." Justin stated. "I liked it and he liked it and that's all that matters." "I hope you two aren't moving too fast. I don't want to see you get hurt. I know he's our leader and all, but from what I have seen and heard, he has a lot to deal with and he has been through more than you." JC stated. "All that doesn't matter to me Josh. I love him." Justin stated. "You love him?" JC asked. "You just met him Justin. I thought we had this conversation before." "And like I told you then, I still love him. He's the guy for me." Justin stated. // Outside of Jive // "Stop!" JT yelled. "Who are you and what do you want here?" "Who the hell are you?" The girl asked. "I asked you first! Who are you?" JT asked again. "I don't have time for this. WIND!" The girl screamed out and a gust of wind blasted JT backwards. "I no the fuck she didn't! You shouldn't have done that young lady!" JT screamed as he flew up into the air and sent hurricane force winds at the girl and then trapping her in the center of a small cyclone. "No I ask again, who are you?" "Arrrrgggghhhh!" the girl screamed. "Let me down, let me down!" "Not until you answer my question! Who are you? What do you want here?" JT asked as he spotted a police car and a giant robot headed towards the two of them. "That's none of your business!" She stated as the winds stopped and she was enveloped in a telekinetic bubble as she and JT flew away. "You better thank your lucky stars that I am keeping you from getting carried away by the Sentinels. Now tell me who are you!" JT stated. "Fine I guess I will have to do it my way." "What are you doing? I can feel you in my head! Get Out! Get Out Of My Head You Creep!" the girl screamed. "This must be some sick joke, this isn't possible at all. I just meet the person you claim to be and she definitely isn't you. You are not Angel Carter!" JT stated. "I am too Angel Carter! Get away from me!" The girl screamed. "Not until I get to the bottom of this." JT stated as he tapped the communicator in the center of his costume. "Computer I need information about Angel Carter, There should be information about her in Echo's file." = Accessing. There seems to be a problem with that data file Psion. I cannot give you the information, the file has been either erased from storage or it has been corrupted. = "Is there a way to verify rather or not this young lady is in fact Angel Carter?" JT spoke to the computer. = DNA and Gene Analysis is the only way Psion. = "Well I don't have the time for all of that. I met Angel Carter just the other day and I just read this girl's thoughts and she claims to be Angel Carter or her mind claims to be Angel Carter. The two don't even look alike. The Angel Carter I met had sandy blonde hair, this one has black hair." JT stated as the girl created a small cyclone of her own within JT's telekinetic bubble causing him to loose his concentration and the both of them fall to the ground. "Finally I can get away now." The girl stated as she jumped into the air and then fell to the ground. "What are you doing?" JT asked. "Oh nothing." The girl stated as she took off running. "Here we go." (No pun intended, this isn't the N Sync song.) JT stated as he flew behind the girl and grabbed her by the collar and took off in the other direction away from the approaching Sentinel. "What are you dong?" The girl asked. "Getting us away from that tin can back there. Be quiet and you might live to see another day." JT stated as he reached X-Sync HQ. "What the hell is this place?" The girl asked. "That's why I don't believe you are Angel Carter. She doesn't have a bad mouth like yours." JT stated. "Well get it through your skull dude, I am Angel Carter. Let me out of this place." She stated as JT pulled her into the secret elevator that led to the Command Center. "Computer, Login." = You may enter Psion. = "Has there been any word on Channel?" JT asked the computer. = None Psion. I am unable to locate his mutant signature anywhere on the planet. = "Well that means either he's dead or he's not on the planet." JT stated pondering what the computer had just told him. "Computer scan this young lady. She claims to be Angel Carter." = Scanning...scanning...scanning...Scan complete. Brainwave patterns are a match for Angel Carter but genetic structure and DNA configuration are not correct.= "What do you mean by that computer. How could the brainwave patterns match but the rest don't?" JT asked. = This girl isn't Angel Carter's body but the mind is. = "Is it a possibility that someone swapped bodies with her?" JT asked. = There's a 75% possibility Psion. = "I don't like the reality of the 25%. What could be the other possibility?" JT asked. "Someone had swapped souls with her and then tried to steal her powers." Lance stated entering the room. "Channel where have you been and why weren't you wearing your communicator?" JT asked as he walked over to Lance. "We have some major problems Psion and they are very bad." Lance stated. "What's wrong?" JT asked. "This morning at Jive I overheard our old tour manager talking to someone named Nexus and he was supposed to deliver a pair of twins with elemental powers to this person." Lance stated. "Those twins were Angel and Aaron Carter." "Angel is here over there." JT stated. "That's not Angel." Lance stated. "I know that, but the computer identifies this lady as Angel Carter and when I psi-scanned her, I came up with the same information. The mind belongs to Angel but the body belongs to someone else." "I believe that someone else is this person called Nexus. She has the power to steal the powers and soul of the people she touches and she reminded me of you." Lance stated. "I don't steal souls or powers. I absorb or copy, but not steal." JT stated. "Well that's what has happened here. We need to get the others and find Aaron he is still missing." Lance stated. "I followed the tour manager until he disappeared behind a building downtown and I came back here." "Why didn't you carry your communicator? You could have told me what was going on." JT stated. "Sorry but I wasn't thinking about it." Lance stated. "Computer locate Channel and locate his mutant signature." JT stated speaking to the computer. = I am unable to locate his mutant signature anywhere on the planet. = "Computer, Channel is right here in the room with me." JT stated. = Not correct Channel is not present. = Hearing this information a second time JT got confused. First he thought the computer was broken and that there might be something wrong. After fiddling with some components of the computer, JT asked to locate Channel again and got the same results. Getting angry, JT asked the computer to locate his mutant signature and the computer found him standing in the room, so the problem was, why can't the computer locate Channel and he was standing in the room. ============================== TO BE CONTINUED...
