Hope you enjoy the show oh I mean reading. ====================================== X-Sync The Power Within Chapter -- 5 by JT Poole // In the middle of Nowhere // "Come on Fox wake up, it's been hours and hours and you are still out. I know you are in there, I can sense you." Chance says, caressing Firefox's face in his hand. "He's still out Chance?" Ariel asks as her and D'Lynn walk over to him. "Yeah he's still out. I don't know what's going on. It's not normal for him to be out like this." Chance says, running his fingers through Firefox' s long locks of hair. "Uncle Fox wake up." D'Lynn says, hopping down out of Ariel's arms. "Come on man wake up, I'm sleepy." "Honey Fox isn't keeping you from sleeping." Ariel says as she and Chance start laughing. "Well I can't go to sleep until we go home." D'Lynn says, looking over at Chance. "Home, that's going to be a long shot darlin." Chance says. "We can't go home, it's off limits to us now." "But I'm sleeping Uncle Chance." D'Lynn says, tears falling from here eyes. "I want my bed." "I'm sorry sweetie, we can't go back there." Ariel says, picking D'Lynn up again. ** In Firefox's Mind ** `Dreamer where are we son?' Firefox says telepathically, speaking to his son Dreamer. `Daddy this is where we should be right here.' Dreamer telepathically says, floating away from Firefox. `Son! Son come back here!' Firefox shouts telepathically, running behind the disappearing lights of Dreamer's dream self. ** The World Real ** "Xander come back!" Firefox screams, sitting up in Chacne's arms. "Baby are you okay?" Chance asks, hugging Firefox to his chest. "Where have you been?" "Our new home." Firefox answers, standing up and stretching his arms. "Dreamer showed me our new home, a place where the Sentinels, The Hounds or The Right can find us." "Where is this place?" Chance asks. "A new home? Where is this?" Ariel asks, rubbing D'Lynn's back. "It's the old mutant concentration camp." Firefox answers him. "Ah baby, why would we want to stay in a place like that?" Chance asks. "Yeah what he said." Ariel says, looking at Firefox strangely. "Baby don't you remember, this is the place that we destroyed back when we got married." Firefox says. "The place isn't usable by them because of the magical spell that you and Healer placed on it. Normal humans can't go there, but we can." "Baby the Hounds are mutants, they can go there." Chance says, looking at Firefox strangely. "Wait a minute Fox. This is a concentration camp. Don't you think some of us might have flashbacks?" Ariel asks. "Well we can solve that problem down the line Chance." Firefox says. "I think our son has been using his powers to change the place, so it doesn't really resemble the place that we destroyed four years ago." "You have been in contact with him too?" Chance asks, hugging Firefox, crying on his shoulder. "What did he show you?" "Our new home." Firefox answers. "We need to gather everyone around and leave here soon. I am quite sure we have been in the open too long and I know they suspect that we have escaped." "Okay baby this would go faster if you just telepathically summon everyone to this spot." Chance says, smiling as TimberWolf and Eclipse approach them. "Walking back JT." TimberWolf says, shaking his hand. "I thought we had lost you somewhere back there." "I'm still here, just had to go on a journey in find us a new place to live." Firefox replies, shaking Eclipse's hand. "You have a younger brother." "How did you...nevermind." Eclipse says, forgetting that Firefox was a psychic. "Your brother is being held by the Right." Firefox states, looking at Eclipse. "They are trying to convert him into a hound, so far he's resisting." "What? How do you know this?" Eclipse asks, getting angry. "Well our son was turned into a hound. Tonight I was able to see through his eyes while he talked to me. I saw a young man in the room that looks very much like the young man I just saw in your mind when I shook your hand. His name is Aaron Carter, correct?" Firefox asks. "Yes that's his name. Where is he? How did this Right get him?" Eclipse asks. "Why would they want him?" "He's a mutant just like you. He has a mutant power and he can be used against you and other mutants." Firefox says as Eclipse starts crying, sliding into TimberWolf's arms. "Aaron isn't a mutant. I wasn't born a mutant." Eclipse says. "Actually you were." Firefox says, touching Eclipse again. "You have the power to produce light. That explosion in the hospital isn't what caused your powers to come into being, it just awakened them." "How did you know that? Can you read my body or something?" Eclipse asks. "Yes I can actually. With my psionic powers I can detect changes within the human body." Firefox says, touching TimberWolf. "Along with those powers I can tell you that you both have powers that you have yet to master such as your ability to use invisible light to turn invisible and your power to actually transform into your namesake." "You are joking right?" TimberWolf asks. "You are saying that I can turn into a wolf?" "Yes you have that power to do that. You have the power to run fast, jump high and all of your senses are exceptionally higher than most." "Well that's because I have enhanced senses." TimberWolf says. "No that's because you have the power to transform into a wolf. When the time is right, believe me you will know it, you will be rewarded with that power to attain your maximum level." Firefox says. "And what about me?" Eclipse asks. "You have been limiting yourself to using just one type of light, visible. Well Nick, there are other forms of light and one of these days you will figure out how to use them." Firefox says, as the last of the survivors walks over to them. "It seems everyone is here baby. Why don't we blow this joint." Chance says as he and Firefox float into the air, holding hands. "asla cero fmega git houro jper koon liii!!!!" Firefox and Chance scream as the both of their bodies start to glow and a strange light shines down on everyone from the sky and they all disappear. // Outskirts of Orlando, FL // (<Pooof>) "Chance, Fox where are we?" Braun asks, holding Dakota in his arms as the little boy cries as they all appear in their destined location. "Chance something's wrong. I am sensing danger all around us." Firefox says as the lights come on in the room they were all standing in. "Welcome mutants." They all hear turning around to see a woman standing there with a strange looking staff in her hands. "This is the last place you will ever see." "Evangeline!" Firefox screams, disappearing and reappearing behind the woman. "What the hell are you doing here?" "Here to capture all of you!" The woman identified as Evangeline screams, projecting a beam of energy at the ceiling causing debris to rain down on everyone. "Why are you doing this Evangeline!?! I thought you were our friend." Firefox says, holding his hands up, trying to use his powers to deflect the falling debris. "Emphasis on `were' Firefox. I was your friend in the past, now I work for me, not some dream of peace and freedom you two share." Evangeline says as her eyes start glowing and she projects a beam of energy at Chance as he deflects it back at her. "Don't do this Evangeline. We will not fight you." Chance says, running over to her. "Stop Brian! Don't come any closer!" Evangeline screams, holding her hand in front of her as Chance freezes in place. "Let him go Evangeline!" Firefox screams as Ariel runs out firing lasers at the woman. "They might not want to hurt you, I feel differently about things!" Ariel screams, still firing her lasers at Evangeline. "I see Britney has grown up since I last saw her!" Evangeline screams, trying to zap Ariel with energy from her eyes. "That's right lady I have grown up, what's it to you?" Ariel asks, stopping long enough for Braun to start shaking things up as he jumps up and down on the floor. "No Braun!" Firefox screams, waving his hand, lifting Braun off the floor. "This place doesn't need to be destroyed." "She's not on our side anymore Fox, we need to just get rid of her." Braun says, struggling against Firefox's powers. "Stop Alex, I am not going to let you go until I have your word that you won 't destroy this place." Firefox says, lifting him higher, placing him on the ceiling. "I can't give you my word on that one Fox!" Braun says, punching the wall, causing the rest of the ceiling to collapse, raining more debris down on everyone. "I'm sorry Alex." Firefox says as his eyes start to glow and Braun falls down in his telekinetic bubble. "What's going on?" Eclipse asks, powering up, flowing towards Firefox as fast as he could. "I knew we couldn't trust you!" "Nick stop!" Firefox shouts, waving his hand, knocking Eclipse backwards. "What the hell!" TimberWolf says, jumping up to catch Eclipse before he falls to the floor. "Everyone stop!" Firefox screams, floating up into the air as he unleashes his cosmic powers. "Uh oh, that doesn't look so good." TimberWolf says, running from the room with Eclipse in his arms. "Baby what are you doing?" Chance asks, as the energy Firefox was releasing starts to melt things in the room. "Fox stop!" "He's trying to kill us!" Eclipse screams as Firefox disappears. "Where did he go?" "What the hell were you trying to do?" Chance asks, waving his hand at TimberWolf and Eclipse. "He was trying to stop us from fighting her!" "Looks like he was fighting one of the good guys!" Eclipse says, getting up in Chance's face. "He wasn't fighting anyone, he was trying to stop the fighting!" Chance screams, pushing Eclipse out of his face. "You two stop it!" TimberWolf screams as Ariel jumps in between the men. "We don't need this right now!" Ariel screams as there was a bright light behind he as Eclipse starts firing at the image of Firefox appears in the room. "What the hell are you doing Nick?" Chance asks, using his powers to protect the image of Firefox. `He's not hurting me handsome.' Firefox speaks telepathically. "JT where are you?" Chance says aloud, not knowing where Firefox was. `I don't know Brian, I just know that I'm safe.' Firefox replies telepathically as Chance looks around the room at Nick who was still struggling against the force-field he had created to protect the image of his lover. "Justin can you please stop your husband...he's just wasting his time and energy." Chance says, jumping over to where Eclipse was standing, trying to calm him down. "Baby where's Evangeline?" Chance asks, looking at the burn marks on the floor. ` I have no idea where she is.' Firefox says telepathically as the image of him fades away. "Baby come on now, you are scaring the hell out of me. What did you do when you turned into Firefox?" Chance asks, moving past Eclipse as he utters a few choice words as his armor appears. `What do you mean Brian?' Firefox telepathically asks as he reappears in the room with Evangeline in his pyrokinetic claw, falling to the floor as all of them run over to where he lay. "What the hell is going on Chance?" TimberWolf asks. "Evangeline is JT's sister." Chance says, kneeling down to check out his husband. "His sister? Oh fuck!" Eclipse exclaims, stepping back as he starts to cry. "What have I done? He was defending his sister from us and I attack him." "I tried to warn you." Chance says, glaring at Eclipse. "I...I'm sorry." Eclipse says dropping to his knees crying as TimberWolf catches him. "I'm not the one you should be apologizing to." Chance says as Firefox sits up coughing. "Baby are you alright?" "I...I think so." Firefox says as energy is projected from his eyes and the image of Dreamer appears. `Daddy isn't able to maintain my life and his. I need help. I am trapped, trapped within..." Dreamer says telepathically to everyone in the room as his telepathic image disappears. "What happened to Dreamer?" Ariel asks, kneeling down next to Chance and Firefox. "Baby what happened?" Chance asks, helping Firefox to his feet. "I know where Dreamer is." Firefox says, holding his hands up as his body starts to glow. "Brian we need to go get our son." "Take us with you." Eclipse says, standing up now, wiping his tears. "I want to help...I want to help you get your son back." "I don't know Nick...I can sense your anger, I can sense your distrust of me." Firefox says, turning around and grabbing Chance's hand. "Brian I need you to guide my powers." "Please take us with you, we want to help you." Eclipse says, making contact with Firefox's skin. "I don't think you are going to find Aaron coming with us." Firefox says, turning around to face Eclipse. "It has nothing to do with finding Aaron, we want to help you with finding your son." Eclipse says, hugging on to TimberWolf. "Please let us help you JT." "Fine if you want to go you can, just stay away from me." Firefox says as he and Chance starts to float in place. "We are outta here!" Chance screams as a strange energy is released from his and Firefox's body as they teleport themselves along with Braun, Ariel, Eclipse and TimberWolf. // Somewhere in what used to be New York // (<Pooof>) "Where are we?" Ariel asks as they all appear. "We...we are in The Right's secret base of operations." Firefox says, looking around as he floats into the air. "This way." "We are you leading us Fox?" Ariel asks, looking around the walls as they walk down the halls. "I am going to where Xander is." Firefox answers her as they arrive at a door. "Is he behind that door baby?" Chance asks, as Firefox touches the door and causes it to explode. "No!" Ariel screams, jumping out of the way. "Hounds! Look out!" "What do we have here?" StarFighter says walking out of the room with Xander and Aaron Carter behind her. "Looks like the daddies came to save their boy and big brother came to save little brother." "Aaron!" Eclipse screams as Aaron looks up at him and raises his hand. "Attack them Dreamer, Meltdown!" StarFighter screams, stepping back as Aaron and Xander starts attacking the gang. `Guys please don't hurt our son.' Firefox telepathically speaks to his comrades. "We hope he doesn't hurt us Fox!" Ariel screams, ducking as one of Dreamer' s psionic blasts barely misses her. "We are bound to hurt him and that kid trying to protect ourselves." "Don't hurt Aaron, this isn't like him!" Eclipse says, lighting up and flying towards his brother. "Aaron stop this!" "Bow down geneslug!" Aaron screams grabbing Eclipse by his cape and slamming him to the floor. "I don't think so little brother." Eclipse says, creating a sphere of light in Aaron's face, temporarily blinding him. "I'm sorry bro, but I am not going to allow you to hurt the others on her say so." "You will pay for that mutant freak!" Aaron shouts, projecting beams of energy at Eclipse. "Well we know he's not like his brother, that's not light!" Braun screams out, trying to dodge the energy that Aaron was projecting. "Xander it's me your dad, don't do this." Chance says, deflecting Dreamer's powers. "I love you son, don't do this." "We need to stop StarFighter, she's getting away!" Ariel screams as Josh appears in front of her. "Where have you been?" "Well I was using the shadows to hide." Josh says, disappearing again and reappearing behind StarFighter. "I got her." "Good now we have to somehow stop him and Xander!" Ariel says as Firefox starts screaming. "Fox what's wrong?" Braun asks as Firefox starts creating psychic images of himself at different ages. "What the hell is going on here?" TimberWolf asks. "I seem to ask that question more and more." "JT what are you doing? What's happening?" Chance asks, struggling with Dreamer. "Kill them, kill them all!" StarFighter says as more hounds appear in the room. "Start with Firefox!" "Yes mistress." A hound responds attacking one of the psychic images that Firefox had just created. "What is this? He doesn't die." " You can't kill what's not here!" Firefox says appearing behind the hound, attacking it with a burst of fire. "Look at that." TimberWolf says hanging on the side of the wall, watching the scene below. "All of his bodies are fighting independently." `That's right, what do you expect. I'm psychic.' Firefox says telepathically speaking to TimberWolf. "Since you are able to do that, help out Nick, he can't evade his brother forever you know." TimberWolf says, dropping down to fall on the back of one of the hounds. "Nick will have to fight his own battles." Josh says, popping up and leaving as quick as he appears. "That guy is quick." TimberWolf says, jumping over a hound, punching another and then kicking the one that tried to grab him. "This is starting to get really funny." "This is not fun Justin. I don't want to hurt my brother." Eclipse says, flying up into the air holding Aaron. "Aaron please stop." "Put me down you filthy mutant!" Aaron screams, grabbing Eclipse's chest, disintegrating his costume away. "Arggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!" Eclipse screams under Aaron's touch. "Nick!" TimberWolf screams, jumping up in the air, not being able to reach Eclipse. "Nick!" "You are killing me Aaron! Stop! Please stop!" Eclipse screams struggling with Aaron as the two of them hurdles to the ground. "Aaron stop! You are going to kill both of you!" TimberWolf screams as Josh appears right under Eclipse and Aaron, catching the both of them in one of his portals, as he punches Aaron. "You stay put, don't move." "Thank the heavens." TimberWolf says as Josh's portal opens and reappears on the floor. "Thank you Josh." "No problem TimberWolf." Josh says. "I think it's time to get myself a code name like you guys." "Well that would help in keep your identity secret." TimberWolf says. "You can call me Void from now on." Josh says, standing up and kicking Aaron to the ground. "Nicky are you alright?" TimberWolf asks, peeling away the melted pieces of Eclipse's costume away from his chest. "Come on baby talk to me." "He looks really bad." Void says, waving at Ariel and Braun. "We need to get him some medical attention." "Where are we going to find him some medical attention?" TimberWolf asks starting to cry. "We have to get him back to the others, Healer can help him." Void says. "Healer? Who's he?" TimberWolf asks. "Healer is a she." Ariel says. "She has the power to heal. He looks really bad. Josh can you get him back to her?" "Come on let's go." Void says, creating a portal and jumping in. "Come on TimberWolf." "Hurry go!" Ariel says, as there was an explosion behind them. "The fight is getting closer, you need to go." "I'm ready. Let's go."
