Hope you enjoy the show oh I mean reading. ====================================== X-Sync The Power Within Chapter -- 6 by JT Poole // Outskirts of Orlando, FL -- The Location of New Sanctuary // (<Poooof>) "Healer! Healer we need your help, quickly!" Void screams as he appears at the location of New Sanctuary with TimberWolf, Eclipse and Aaron. "What's wrong Josh?" Healer asks. "It's Eclipse, his brother attacked him." Void says. "I didn't know he had...this is his brother." Healer says making contact with Eclipse's flesh. "I best heal them both." "Heal them both? Nick is the only one hurt." TimberWolf says. "No child...the both of them were hurt. You see child, Eclipse was wounded by his brother, but his brother was also wounded, he was wounded by the evils of the Right." Healer says, touching Aaron, causing him to convulse a little bit. "What...what's happening to him?" TimberWolf asks, still holding Eclipse in his arms as he places a kiss to his forehead. "He's trying to resist what I am doing. I am trying to cleanse his soul of the Right's brainwashing." Healer states, as Eclipse sits up in TimberWolf arms. "What happened? I thought I was dead." Eclipse says, turning to hug TimberWolf. "You almost were child. If your brother would have held on to you any longer, he would have killed you." Healer says as Aaron starts coughing and then crying. "Aaron! Aaron are you alright? What are you doing to him lady?" Eclipse asks. "I am cleansing his soul of the Right's brainwashing. He's back to normal now that there influence has been washed from his temple." Healer says as she disappears in a flash of light. "What the hell? Where did she go?" TimberWolf asks. "She was only here for as long as we needed her." Void says. "What is she Josh? Some kind of witch or something?" Eclipse asks, looking around. "We don't know what she is, we just know we are glad she is around when we need her to be." Void says, patting Eclipse on the back. "By the way, you can call me Void now." "Void? Sounds cool to me." Eclipse says as he and TimberWolf stands up. "Where am I?" Aaron asks, standing up, looking around. "Nick!" "Don't touch me!" Eclipse shouts, scaring Aaron. "You just stay back!" "Nick where are we?" Aaron asks, looking around, seeming very upset and distressed. "Baby I don't think he's going to hurt you now." TimberWolf says. "The Healer lady said his soul was cleaned of the brainwashing." "I don't fucking care, I don't want him ever touching me again. He almost killed me." Eclipse says, floating away. "Nick what's going on here? Why are you acting this way towards me?" Aaron asks, running behind Eclipse as TimberWolf follows them. "What are you two going to do?" Void asks. "I'm going to keep those two in line, why don't you get back to the others and see if they need any help." // Back in What use to be New York // "I think not StarFighter!" Firefox screams, projecting beams of energy at the woman. "Look out Fox!" Chance yells as a hound tries to grab Firefox. "This is pure madness! The more we stop these things more appear." (<Poof>) "Well maybe I can help put a stop to these things." Void says appearing behind Chance. "Maybe I can teleport them away or something." "Do what you can man." Chance says, being caught off guard as a hound stabbed him in the chest with something. "Awww fuck!" "Brian!" Firefox screams, being able to feel the pain of his lover. "No!" "What happened?" Ariel asks, stopping in place as she turns around just in time to see Chance go down. "No Chance!" Firefox says, flying towards Chance. "I'm okay! Keep fighting!" Chance screams floating down to the floor. "I can't keep up!" Braun says. "I'm getting tired, it's like this is never ending." "I'm getting tired too, but we are trying to run interference for them until we can get Dreamer out of here." Ariel says. "Maybe we are not meant to get him out of here right now. Every time we try to get him, things get worst. It's like the Right will do any and everything to keep him from returning home." Braun says, turning around and smacking a hound. "That's right Alex, you are not meant to get him. Dreamer will remain with us forever!" StarFighter says as she grabs the young boy and the two of them disappear. "No!" Firefox screams, as he wasn't able to grab his son before they vanished. "No! No! Why him? Why Dreamer?" "Fox stop! I think you need to get over to Chance and now. He doesn't look so good." Ariel says, pointing to Chance's body lying on the ground. "We might need to get him back to Healer." "Chance? Chance can you hear me?" Firefox speaks, holding Chance's head in his lap. "Come on handsome say something to me, use your mind if you have to." `Baby save our son.' Brian says telepathically to Firefox. `She wasn't able to go far with him baby. She's tired baby, she's tired like me. StarFighter is very tired. I tagged her and him so that you can find them. Just save him baby.' "Brian stop that!" Firefox shouts as his body catches fire. "I'm not going to loose you!" "Oh damn!" Braun says punching the hound that he was struggling with. "Chance is really hurt!" "I am not loosing you Brian! We have lost our son already, I can't live if I loose you too!" Firefox says as Chance's hands start to glow. `You are not going to loose me forever baby, just a bit.' Chance says as his body disappears. `I love you baby.' "No!" Firefox screams as he flies into the air and disappears too. "What just happened here?" Void asks. "No no, I think Brian just died." Ariel says as her body starts to sparkle and her form changes to that of a young girl. "That's the only thing I can think of that would make Fox act like that." "He's dead?" Braun asks, starting to cry. "We lost, we lost big time." "Get us home Josh." Ariel says as Void creates a portal and the three of them disappear. // The site of New Sanctuary // (<Poof>) "What are we going to do now Britney?" Braun asks as they appear in their somewhat new home. "Do you think the others will want to continue to fight with this new outcome?" "I don't know Alex, but I am not going to sit around and let them get away with killing Chance." Ariel says, holding her head down as she turns around looking for something. "Where is D'Lynn?" "She should be with Dakota and ..." Braun says, being cut off by a strange light in the room. "Fox is that you?" "Stay away from me!" Firefox screams, floating past them. "Fox please." Ariel says, trying to reach for him, being deflected from touching him by his telekinetic force field. "I know you are hurting right now, but..." "But nothing Britney. They killed my husband." Firefox says floating through the corridor as Ariel, Braun and Void follows him. "What are you going to do Fox?" Braun asks. "I'm going to do to them what they have done to me." Firefox says as they arrive at a big metal door. "Where are we going Fox?" Ariel asks. "I'm going to the power core to make this place come alive." Firefox says, projecting his powers, knocking a dent in the door. "Open damnit!" "What's behind this door Fox?" Ariel asks. "This is the way to the power core." Firefox says, eyes glowing as he floats backwards and erects his telekinetic powers, putting another dent in the door, but not opening it. "Fox stop!" Braun shouts. "If the power core is that way, maybe you shouldn't destroy that door." "Why shouldn't I destroy the door?" Firefox asks. "Possibility of radiation fallout or something similar to that. I am quite sure this place has a radioactive power core." Braun says. "Maybe you are right." Firefox says, as his body changes to fire and he uses his pyrokinetic powers to collect Braun, Ariel and Josh and the four of them disappear. // Past the Door // "You could have asked me to teleport us in here." Void says, shaking as they appeared in the room. "Well my way was more convenient." Firefox says as he starts to float down the corridor again. "Why so?" Void asks. "My cosmic fire shielded your body from any other radiation that might be around in here." Firefox says as they reached what looked like the control panel for another door with the words `Power Core' on it. "We are here." "How in the hell did they power this place?" Ariel asks, looking through the glass. "From the symbols on the door, they used a thermal-nuclear core that used heat and energy to do that job." Firefox says, pressing some keys on the keypad. "There. That should start the thing in motion." "Fox what did you just do?" Ariel asks, as there was a strange humming noise. "I don't like the sound of that." "I just powered up the core." Firefox replies, as the computer, the lights and other devices came to life. "See that, everything is working fine." "I remember hearing you say that Dreamer was making modifications to this place. What did Dreamer do?" Ariel asks. "He destroyed the other part of this place." Firefox says. "What other part?" Void asks. "The part that tortured and killed mutants." Firefox answers, closing his eyes, thinking back to that day that he and Chance along with others shut that very place down. --- Start Flashback --- "Come on baby, we have to get away from here and now!" Chance screams, placing an explosive device on the hull of the building. "Are all the charges set?' Firefox asks, flying from the building with Britney, Alex and Jamie in his telekinetic bubble. "Yes they are set!" Chance screams. "We have to make waves and now!" "Come on Chance, let's go!" Firefox says as Chance floats away from the building just as it starts to explode. "It's done baby, no more mutants will never suffer here at the hands of the Right or anyone else for that matter." Chance says. "What makes you think that baby?" Firefox asks, watching the fireworks from a distance. "What makes you think that they won't go back in there and repair the place? You know this is their biggest facility ever." "I cast a spell on the place babe. The place won't let them back in." Chance says, smiling as he and Firefox kissed. "You two are so mushy." Britney says, as Fox bends down and picks her up. "Well what ever you say Ms. Britney Lynn." Firefox says, kissing the girl on the cheek. "Is everyone okay?" "Yea we good. Can we go home?" Alex asks, stomping his feet. "Yeah we are going home now kid." Firefox says, laughing at the young man. "We are going home." --- End Flashback --- "Fox are you okay?" Braun asks, hugging the man. "Yeah, I'm okay." Firefox answers him as tears fall from his eyes. "We need to do this and get things situated." "What are we going to do first?" Ariel asks. "Set up living arrangements." Firefox says as his body catches on fire. "Oh no, not that again." Void says as they all disappear within Firefox's pyrokinetic claw. // New Sanctuary -- The Main Room // "I don't think I will ever get used to traveling that way." Void says as Firefox's fire disappears and they are standing the main room. "I need to sit here and rest. Gather everyone up and we will assign living quarters." Firefox says sitting down as Void and Ariel takes off. "Fox are you sure you are okay?" Braun asks. "I know that you..." "Alex drop it. I'm fine for right now." Firefox says. "Just please do as I asked." "Oh...okay Fox." Braun says, getting up and walking away from him. * A Few Minutes Later * "So what's up FireFox?" Eclipse asks, looking around. "Where's Chance?" "Shhhh, we'll talk about that later." Ariel whispers to Eclipse. "Thank you all for assembling here. I asked you all to join here so that we can get everyone situated." Firefox says, looking down at the floor as his tears overtook him. "I know you all are not familiar with this place, but this is all we have for now. We will have to make this our new home." "Firefox man are you okay?" TimberWolf asks, jumping up and landing where Firefox was standing. "What's going on? Where's Brian?" "Brian's dead. StarFighter killed him earlier tonight." Firefox says as everyone in the room got quiet. "He's dead?" TimberWolf shouts. "Yeah he's dead. One of the hounds stabbed him through the chest with an energy spear and StarFighter made the spear explode in his chest." Firefox explains. "Is that what happened Ariel?" Braun whispers to Ariel. "I don't know, I saw the hound stab him, but I didn't know StarFighter had any hand in it." Ariel whispers back. "Yes the hound stabbed him and then with her mental powers, she willed the spear to explode since she was the one that created the spear with her powers." Firefox answers Braun's question. "If you have any further questions Alex you can ask me!" "I'm sorry Fox I didn't want to..." Braun says as Firefox cuts him off. "As I was saying, we will get everyone situated in here and we will go on from there." Firefox says as he floats upward and disappears. "This is one of the worst days we have faced." Ariel says walking in the direction of the rooms. "Come on people. Let's find us a place." Walking down the corridor, Ariel stops, pressing a button on the side of the wall she opens a door and steps into the room. "This room will be for Firefox." Ariel says, stepping out of the room and pressing the button to close the door. "All the other rooms are available. Chose the rooms based on your need, don't occupy space you don't need." "Well said Britney." Void says, walking past her as they all walk down the corridor pressing buttons and looking into rooms. "Heaven please watch over us." TimberWolf says, as he takes Eclipse hand and walks down the hall. TO BE CONTINUED...
