How are you guys feeling this morning?" Professor X asked as he came into the dinning room. "I am doing fine sir." Joey stated. "Me too." JC stated. "I feel okay, just a little tired." Justin stated. "I set up this private meeting so we can talking about your current situation." Professor X stated. "What current situation is that?" JC asked. "Well to begin, JT told me about what he stepped into yesterday when appeared at your mother's house Joey." Professor X stated. "That's none of his or your business." Joey stated as he got up and started pacing around the room until he started crying. "Joey, man everything's going to be okay." Justin stated as he got up and hugged him. "No it isn't Curly. Mom took Bri away from me. She told me I couldn't see her ever ever again." Joey stated crying on Justin's shoulder. "I didn't even get to see her one last time." "It's going to be okay Joey, believe me. I will think of something to make this all better." Justin stated. "If you want, I bet JT will help you." "No I don't want his help." Joey stated. "All I want is to be left alone." "Joseph we may not be able to help you with your family problems, but we can help you with the new developments of your body." Professor X stated. "I don't want any help, I just want to ball up and die." Joey stated still crying, as JT appeared in the room. "What is it Professor?" JT asked. "Well I have an idea and well I thought you would be the perfect person to run this by." Professor X stated. "What kind of idea?" JT asked. "Well since the New Mutants are no more, I was thinking that we should have a new sub group and we should call that group X-Sync and I want you to lead the members of that team." Professor X explained. "A new group and you want me to lead it. Why?" JT asked. "Well first of all I know you don't want to stay here forever, I know you want to go back to Orlando sometime and the group X-Sync can handle stuff in the south when the X-Men are not available." Professor X stated. "How would be the members of this group or do I have to ask?" JT stated. "Well to answer your question JT, Yourself, Bobby, Justin, Joey and JC if we can get them trained." Professor X stated. "Trained for what?" Joey asked. "Trained on how to use your powers. Both you and JC need to be trained in the art of using your powers." Professor X stated. "I am not a mutant sir, I told that other guy too." JC stated. "Well actually you are Joshua. You have a latent telepathic power that needs to be nurtured." Professor X stated. "Are you saying I am psychic like him?" JC asked. "Well you have some telepathic powers but I don't know if you are strong as JT, you may or may not, but you have the power, all you need to do is learn how to use it." Professor X stated. "Great I am a freak too. Thanks a lot Joey." JC stated as he too got up and started pacing around the room. "How did this happen to us, were we born this way?" Joey asked. "Sometimes people are born with mutant powers and then there are things that happen that cause people to develop mutant powers." Professor X stated. "In JT's case he became a mutant through magic and other strange methods." "Yes that's true, but I don't think we need to go into those methods again." JT stated as Joey finally sat down. "So Professor how did you know they had powers?" Justin asked. "I am able to detect some genetic changes within people's minds, I have learned to isolate the mutant minds from regular human minds." Professor X stated. "That's cool. Baby can you do that too?" Justin asked walking over to JT. "I can do it sometimes, but not always. I am not as good as the Professor is." JT stated. "Professor, why isn't Bobby here now in this little meeting?" "Well Bobby has gone on a mission to handle something else." Professor X stated. "Why is he a part of the group, isn't he happy being with you guys here?" JT asked. "Well he requested to leave so he could be with Joey if he needed to be." Professor X stated. "Oh so you know of his romantic interests already." JT stated. "I already knew. I think it was quite recognized when you all fought the other night." Professor X stated. "So what are we going to do the rest of the day?" JT asked. "Well if Joshua wants to I was planning on working with him to help him discover his powers while you take Justin and Joey into the Danger Room and go through some scenarios." Professor X stated. "Sounds alright to me, I think we can use that for some fun." JT stated. "Do you think I want to do something like that? I just lost my daughter and my family because of this, this power of mine." Joey stated as he walked out of the room and slammed the door. "Justin go with him and try to calm him down." JT stated as he faded away. "Okay JC it's all up to you. Do you want me to help you discover your powers?" Professor X asked. "Is it going to hurt?" JC asked. "No, I think you will enjoy some of the things we will do." Professor X stated. "Cool I am ready when you are." JC stated. "First we need to fully release your powers. In order for me to do that, I need to make contact with your mind. Do you give me permission to enter your mind?" Professor X asked. "Sure, just don't tell anyone any of my secrets." JC stated. "Your secrets are safe with me." Professor X stated as he touched JC's forehead and closed his eyes. // Danger Room // "Where is Joey?" JT asked as Justin came into the room. "I don't know. When he left out of the room, he just vanished. I walked around outside of the Professor's office, but I couldn't find him." Justin stated. "Oh great. Stay here don't you go anywhere." JT stated as he faded away and tried searching for Joey as he appeared and disappeared in different places throughout the mansion, finally finding Joey sitting outside by himself. "There you are." "Oh come on, just leave me alone man." Joey stated. "Joey I know you are hurting and you don't want to be here, but right now, here is the safest place for you. Since your powers have started to manifest themselves the Sentinels will be able to track you down." JT stated. "What's to keep the Sentinels from tracking me and the rest of you guys here?" Joey asked. "The mansion has security features that hides some of our mutant signatures from their detection devices." JT stated. "I won't lie, there are some times that they are able to detect us and come attacking but we end up destroying them so we don't worry all that much." "Why didn't you tell me I was a mutant when I asked you the other night?" Joey asked. "Joey I didn't know you were a mutant. If I would have sensed the genetic change within you like Magneto and Sinister did we could have prevented a lot of things that has happened to you." JT stated. "Yeah right. Nothing can change what has happened. I will never see my daughter again, all because I am a freak." Joey stated as he put his head in his hands and started crying again. "It's going to be alright Joey." JT stated as he sat besides Joey and hugged him. "I know we don't know each other much, but believe me, things will change for the best. My parents reacted the same way when they found out I was the way I am now. My grandmother accepted me since she was the cause of me having powers, but my mother and father both hated me because of what I could do." "How did you deal with all of that?" Joey asked. "Professor X found me and I joined the X-Men." JT stated. "I had been sad for a long time and when he called out to me telepathically I answered his call and I came here to learn how to fight and use my powers better than I already knew how to use them." "So you came here to escape your parents hatred of you?" Joey asked. "Yeah. For a while I was happy here, but then there was that day that I had to return home because someone had died in my family and it seemed nothing had changed with either of them, which in return brought out my darker side." JT stated. "Your darker side?" Joey asked. "Yeah. I kinda flipped out and started being mean and I joined that man that had kidnapped you guys earlier. I fought along side of him fighting against the X-Men and anyone else that got in my way." JT stated. "I was a mean bitch." "All of that because of your parents' hatred of you being a freak?" Joey asked. "Yep." JT stated. "It took me a while but I got over all of that and they did to. All it took was for me to use my powers to save their lives and their hatred for me left." "So maybe one day my mother will stop hating me?" Joey asked. "Possibly, it will take a little time." JT stated. "But while you are waiting, why don't you give the professor's idea a shot. Learn to use your powers and let those powers benefit you and others. Be a member of X-Sync." "Well you be my friend and help me?" Joey asked. "You didn't have to ask me a stupid question like that. Of course I would be your friend and help you." JT stated. "It's obvious that we are going to be around each other since I am dating one of your best friends and you' re dating someone that use to be my best friend." "Well you do me a favor?" Joey asked. "I will try, what is it?" "I like Bobby, I want to help him. I want to be the guy that he actually loves." Joey stated. "He was in love with you, but I want him to love me. Could you please just give him another chance and not kill him or try to kill him like you did the other night?" "I don't know. That's a lot to ask for Joey." JT stated. "Well do it for our friendship. I want to be your friend and I want you to be mine, but it would hurt me very badly if you hurt Bobby." Joey stated. "Fine, but if he pulls another stunt like he did the other night, I will teleport him into space and I will leave him there to die in that vacuum of space." JT stated. "Happy?" "Yes I am." Joey stated as he got up and hugged JT. "Thanks JT. Can I call you JT?" "Yes you can, you have been calling me that ever since you met me." JT stated laughing. "Come on let's go. Justin is waiting on us in the Danger Room." // Orlando, FL // "Yeah I located the other two. The mini Cerebro reads that they are mutants too. I guess the Professor will add them to this group as well." Bobby stated, talking into the phone. "Just don't get caught by them, we don't know what they powers are, but make sure they are protected. Any sign of trouble and you call us so we can get there to help out." The voice on the phone stated. "Will do. Chat later, Bah-bye."
