may be mentioned in this story.  This story in no way is meant to imply
anything about 'N Sync and any other celebrities sexualities, personalities,
or anything else.  This is a work of pure fiction.

X-Sync -- Chapter 2-1
The Future Isn't Enough

"Whoa man that was cool."  Lee stated as he and JT appeared in the Command
Center.  "Where are we?"

"We are at X-Sync Headquarters in the command center." JT answered as JC,
Justin and Lance joined the two of them at the doorway.

"Psion who's this guy?"  JC asked.

"Guys this is BlueStreak.  BlueStreak this is Catastrophe, Spirit and
Channel.  They are members of X-Sync as well."  JT stated as he pointed to
each member.

"Nice to meet you guys."  Lee stated.

"Same here."  Justin stated.

"Psion, can he be trusted?"  JC asked.

"Well I did scan his mind, he doesn't seem hostile."  JT stated.  "He came
here on a mission to find out what caused all of this."

"You mean the sudden darkness?"  Justin asked.

"Yes that and the faith of the world and the future."  Lee stated.

"The future?  What's wrong with the future?"  Justin asked.  "What's going
on baby?"

"Nothing's going on that I know of."  JT stated.  "Why do you ask?"

"Well first I find you with two guys claiming to be from the future and
second here you are coming back again with another guy talking about the
future.  Are you sure there isn't something you aren't telling me?"  Justin
asked.

"What is there to tell?"  JT asked.

"Try explaining all of this.  What's going on here?"  Justin asked.

"Please enlighten us Psion."  JC stated.  "Nothing has been the same since
Mr. Sinister came around."

"Excuse me, did you say Mr. Sinister, as in Nathaniel Essex?"  Lee asked.

"Yeah they are one in the same."  JT stated.

"No wonder I am here.  So he is somewhat responsible for all of this."  Lee
stated.

"Responsible for what?"  JT and JC asked at the same time.

"If you don't already know, Mr. Sinister was the person that was behind the
Inferno a couple of years back involving the X-Men, New Mutants and
X-Factor."  Lee stated.  "Inferno was a terrible battle between the human
plane and the demon plane.  It seemed some very powerful demons gained
access to our world from Limbo..."

"Limbo?  Psion isn't that the place you are in control of?"  JC asked.

"Yes one in the same."  JT stated.  "The battle he is talking about I was
there."

"You were there?"  Lee asked.

"Yes I was there."  JT stated.  "It was partially my fault that the portal
between Limbo and Earth stayed open.  I some how took control of the portal
from Magik and she wasn't able to close it back.  Unable to close the
portal, more demons came through the portal and the more the demons came
through the more the earth started looking like Limbo."

"Oh my god."  JC stated.

"That's not the worst part of it."  JT stated.  "Since earth was being
overrun with demons, the Earth was not spiritually balanced anymore and that
meant the Tribunal would judge the earth.  The Tribunal appeared to make
judgment on the Earth as I was able to reverse the flow of the portal and
suck the demons back into Limbo.  Regardless of the fact that I had put the
demons back in Limbo, it was too late and the Tribunal relented to do what
it had to do.  The earth was bathed in pure light as everything was purified
from the demons reign on earth.  With that action taken, things that had
happened that weren't supposed to happen changed and caused the future to
change."

"Which leads us to Mr. Sinister."  Lee stated.  "With that change, Jean Grey
and Scott Summers were no longer married to each other and Rachel Summers
never existed."

"That's correct.  With that change, that meant that some of the things the
X-Men had accomplished with Rachel's help didn't happen which changed the
outcome of a lot of things."  JT explained.  "Which leads to the two young
men you met today Catastrophe.  Those two guys are from the future, but now
our future.  The future they come from is a future that could have been but
didn't because of Inferno happening."

"So what does that mean Psion?  How are they here if they came from a time
that hasn't happened yet?"  JC asked.

"Well earlier today when Mr. Sinister hurt me and I teleported away to heal
myself, I some how ended up in the future.  My powers to teleport don't
normally allow me to travel through time unless there is something wrong
with the cosmic realities.  It seems our reality is changing as we speak."
JT stated.

"Yes it's changing, it's changing so fast that people and things are
disappearing as if they never existed and the change is approaching here
faster than what I thought."  Lee stated.  "This change is focused on you
and this spot right here."

"Here!  What happened here?"  Justin asked.

"I don't know, but I was led here to find out and help in any way that I
could."  Lee stated.

"Psion this must be something you are responsible for.  I remember the
professor telling us that you were in the future for a while, and you are
telling us now that you were in the future today.  What actually happened
today and the other times you were in the future?"  JC asked.

"Well that's a part of my past that I don't want to get into, but I guess I
have to."  JT stated.  "In the future mutants were hunted and killed by the
government.  I know it sounds bad, but not all mutants were killed.  Some
mutants were underground hiding from the Sentinels and others like me that
had telepathic abilities were kept alive so that we could search for other
mutants."

"Baby why are you crying?"  Justin asked as he saw the tears fall slowly
from JT's eyes.

"Just a lot of bad stuff from that time that I didn't want to remember."  JT
stated.  "But I will be alright.  Me and Rachel Summers, the daughter
Cyclops and Jean would have in the future were two of a group of mutants
called Hounds.  As Hounds, we were locked up and forced to track down other
mutants.  When those mutants were found they were killed.  The both of us
endure this for so long until Rachel came across Kitty Pryde in the future.
Yes it's the same Kitty you all met here in this time; she was just older,
say fifty years older.  Rachel and I had been sent to capture the X-Men and
bring them in to be killed.  During this time, Kitty convinced me that they
were not evil and that the world hadn't always been like this, so with the
help of Rachel, we linked our minds to hers and she showed us her memories
of the past."

"I am getting confused."  JC stated.

"What about?"  JT asked.

"What does she have to do with you and Rachel being in the future?"  Justin
asked.

"Well if it wasn't for Kitty showing us the past, Rachel wouldn't have come
back to help the X-Men stop Mr. Trask from creating the Super Sentinels and
I would have never been sent to the future in the first place."  JT stated.

"Okay I don't get that."  Lee stated.

"Okay let me start that again."  JT stated.  "I am not from the future, I am
in my rightful place in time.  Back in 1992, an old woman called Destiny
approached me.  Destiny stated to me that she had seen the future and it
didn't look good.  As a result, I used my magical powers to send me to the
future where she said things began to get rocky.  When I arrived in that
time, I was captured when I appeared there.  I began to think it was a
setup, that Destiny was just trying to get rid of me, but I put all the
pieces together and she was right.  The time that I arrived in was when all
hell broke loose, that was when Senator Robert Kelly was supposedly
assassinated by mutants."

"Are you talking about that guy in New York now?"  Lance asked.

"Yes the very same.  In the future he gets killed, but it's blamed on
mutants and from that point on, being a mutant was considered illegal."  JT
stated.

"So you went to the future to stop that from happening?"  JC asked.

"Well that was my plan, but I ended up being turned into a Hound.  I guess
Destiny didn't see that part."  JT stated.

"So how did it get dark outside?"  Lance asked.

"Maybe I can explain that."  Lee stated.  "It seems that the time lines are
converging on one time."

"What does that mean?"  JC asked.

"Well a future time has collided with a present or past time and both
elements of time can't exist in the same spot at the same time, meaning
something from our time has been altered by something from the future."  JT
stated.

"That's impossible."  Lance stated.  "We can alter the future, but the
future can't alter the past."

"That's not so, we can alter the future and the past.  Everything we do
causes ripples in the time stream, we just don't know if the right things
are happening."  JT stated.

"Are you sure about that?"  Lee asked.

"Yes I am sure about that."  JT stated.  "Something from the future is
causing this problem."

"What could it be?"  Lee asked.

"It could be anything BlueStreak, we just have to find who or what it is and
put it back where it belongs."  JT stated as Joey and Bobby walked into the
command center.

"Hey guys what's up and who's that?"  Bobby asked walking over to JT and
BlueStreak.

"I'm BlueStreak."  Lee stated.

"What are you doing down here in the command center?"  Bobby asked.

"He brought me here."  Lee stated pointing to JT.

"Psion, could I talk to you over there?"  Bobby asked dragging JT over to a
corner of the room.

"What are you doing Bobby?"  JT asked.

"Don't call me that around him.  What is wrong with you bringing a stranger
in here like that?  Are you trying to jeopardize these guys secret
identities?"  Bobby asked.

"No I am not!"  JT yelled.  "I am not jeopardizing anything.  I scanned his
mind before I even brought him here.  He's going to be a new member of
X-Sync so you better get your head out of your ass Mr. Drake.  Right now he
doesn't pose a threat to any of us and I say I can trust him at the moment,
you should too, he might save your fucking life."

"What's with you Psion?  You have been acting strange since we got here."
Bobby stated.

"Maybe its because I have to be around an egotistical prick like you!"  JT
stated as he walked away from Bobby as NightStryke and Xenix walked into the
command center.

"Hi everyone."  Todd stated as he walked over to the planning table and sat
down.

"Hell the hell are those two?"  Bobby asked.

"Did we come in at the wrong time your highness?"  Todd asked.

"Your Highness?"  JC, Justin, Lance and Joey all asked at the same time.

"Yes he's the king in our future."  Todd spoke.

"A black king?"  Bobby asked.

"What's wrong with that Bobby?"  Lee asked.

"Nothing, nothing at all."  Bobby stated as he recoiled away from
BlueStreak.

"Good."  Lee stated.  "You were saying sir."

"Okay, before I was rudely interrupted, He's the king in our future."  Todd
stated.

"Are you two from the future?"  Lee asked.

"Yes we are."  Corey answered.

"They are the reason for this happening."  Justin stated.  "Both of you
agreed that something from the future was causing this."

"Catastrophe this happened before I appeared with these two."  JT stated.
"I think something else from the future is causing all of this."

"Such as what?"  Justin asked.

"A person or some object that doesn't belong in our time is here and it
shouldn't be.  It's causing the time strings to bend and warp."  JT stated.

"Maybe that's why I was led here to find what is causing this problem."  Lee
stated as Bobby walked out of the room.

"Well as soon as Wildcat, Echo and Pull return we will get a good strategy
going and solve this problem."  JT stated.

"Psion can we talk?"  Joey asked walking over to JT.

"Sure, what's on your mind Joey?"  JT asked.
