CAN THIS BE REAL?

I walked out of the stables after feeding my out horses their daily evening
meal. I wiped off the sweat that was dripping from my temples while I
attempted to clean my hands. I sighed with tiredness as the warm water fell
all over my hands. My father and I have been farming alone ever since I can
remember. Horses, sheep's, cattle and a couple of farm animals all over the
show. I loved animals, never mind what kind or what species they were. I
would even get along well enough with spiders and snakes. I would gladly
work with them my whole life.

We have never had it well before, my dad and me. Even though we sell the
products that our animals provide us with, money has never been a royal
flush in this house. My name is Tyler and Im 17 years old. Like I said my
father and I have been on out own ever since my mother had died, when I was
three. I have a black hair, brown eyes and I love to walk around shirtless
outside, showing off my ripped six pack. I have a nice tan, having been in
the sun all my life and keeping the farm going.

Like I said we have never had it good, we didn't have a TV, video or DVDE,
only a radio that I almost never use. I didn't quite care, because the farm
and my dad meant everything to me. I was entirely happy not to lie and
become a couch potato in front of the TV like some of my other
friends. This one morning though, my usual life would forever be
changed. Like forever.

I was getting the freshly made milk from the cows in coming back to the
house when I saw my father running towards me. I put down the buckets of
milk and looked up at him.

"Dad?"

"Tyler look, I have to go out tonight. There is a chance that I can get a
massive contract to sell some of our horses to this millionaire guy that
has moved into town this week. If we can twist his arm to buy our horses,
Tyler, than I will have enough money for you to go to Uni next year."

"Dad, I told you that I don't"

"Tyler I appreciate that you want to stay here and help me on the farm, but
someday you would want to move on and do something else. In my day it was
another story as we felt obliged to follow in our father's footsteps, but
im giving you this chance. So im going into town to meet this guy tonight.
Are you going to be OK on your own for a little while?"

"Yeah sure, Dad. I'll be fine. Go and get us this contract."

I was busy making some dinner as my father told me goodbye and left for the
meeting. We lived on small farm called Forgiven, which got his name from
the old year war between the two sets of my heritage. We really were far
away from civilization and I knew that it would take time to reach town and
return. As I left the stew to cook on the primus stove, I quickly undressed
and jumped into the bathtub for a quick scrub. As I was about to finish, I
heard an almighty crash like sound outside. Terrified that it might be
burglars, I got up, put on my shorts and went to fetch my dad's shotgun,
just incase.

As I left the house, I walked around the corner of the stables and towards
the gate, from where I heard the noise. Suddenly I smelled a mixture of
smoke and petrol coming from the gate. I peeked slowly towards the scene
and I almost screamed. Someone had literally crashed right into our front
gate! I rushed over to the wrecked car, hoping and praying that the person
inside has not been killed, because that would create unnecessary tension
between us and the contract that my father was busy negotiating. I opened
what was left of the gate and ran over to the car.

"He...Hello? Someone there?"

No answer.

I decided to open the door of the car. Once it was open, I peeked inside
and saw a young man sitting inside of the wrecked car. His head was leaning
on the steering wheel and it looked like he bumped his head on it in the
crash. He seemed way out of it and I started to help him out of the car. In
my seventeen year old mind, and having only driven my dad's car like twice
in my life, I was so scared that the car would explode or something.
Although the guy was quite young and tall, he wasn't that heavy as I flexed
my arm muscles to carry him over my shoulder to our house. As I reached the
door, I was in a panic as he started to get heavier and I carried him to my
bedroom. I put him down and ran to the bathroom to fetch something to clean
up the blood gushing from the wound on his head.

I gently wiped the blood off and neatly placed some cotton wool with a dab
of ointment on the wound. Then I placed a plaster on the wound and left
once more to clean myself up a bit. I returned to the bedroom and sat on a
chair next to the bed. For the first time I got a really good look at the
guy. He was quite tall, short hair that he had gelled, strong jaw and from
what I could see, he was ripped and muscled like hell. His golden brown tan
all over his body, really impressed the hell out of me. That thought really
stunned me and I decided to let him get some sleep and question him once he
woke up.

He was still asleep when my father returned. I could see that the meeting
went rather well.

"Well, what did he say?"

"He said that he would come to see the horses the day after tomorrow. I
want everything to be perfect when he arrives."

He started walking to his room when I stopped him. Dad looked at me funny.

"Dad, there was someone who had an accident tonight; the guy drove straight
into the front gate. He hurt his head really bad and he was bleeding,
though I managed to stop it. He is in my bed now."

Dad rushed to my bedroom and felt the guy's forehead.

"Looks like he doesn't have a fever. We have to get him to a hospital
tomorrow. He can stay here tonight. We can have the car towed tomorrow as
well."

Once my father told me goodnight and gave me a hug, he went to sleep and I
made myself a little `bed' on the floor. I took off my shirt and my shorts
so that I was only in my boxers. That's the way I liked to sleep. I didn't
seem why I had to change my habits only because there was a strange man in
my bed. I laid my head down on my pillow and closed my eyes, taking in
everything that had happened today. The usual farm routine, the new
contract, University, the crash, the man in the car, the groaning
sound...THE GROANING SOUND???

I looked up and I the guy on the bed trying to sit up. I got up and I
pushed him back down.

"Hey, you got to lie down, man. You've had quite a bump on the head. Lie
down; you're not fit to go anywhere!"

He spoke something in a language that I didn't understand. Great, he is a
foreigner, how the hell am I going to figure out who he is?

"Where am I?"

I looked back at him and then I smiled. Good, he spoke English.

"You're on a farm called Forgiven. You have had an accident with your car
and you've hurt your head. Nothing serious though, you're gonna be fine.
We'll take you to hospital in the morning."

He guy immediately reached out to his head and groaned. He laid down on the
pillow and closed his eyes. I shook him a bit, but he was out like a
light. Soundly sleeping. I took a wild chance and searched his jacket
pocket and the pockets of his pants, but there was nothing that could
identify him. I layed back down on the floor and closed my eyes aswell.

When I woke up the next morning, I completely forgot what happened the
previous evening. That was until I saw the guy standing in our kitchen with
a cuppa in his hand.

"Morning! You must be Tyler," he said in his thick overseas accent.

"Morning, how are you feeling?"

"No, im fine. Thanks to you, from what I heard from your father. He is
outside if you're looking for him. Here, I made you and him some coffee
aswell."

"Hey, thanks man!" I said and took the cup from him. We were silent for a
while and then I looked at him. He looked much better than he did last
night, which the rest did him, wonders. Then it hit me in the face, he was
really something to look at. I wanted to block these thought from my mind
once they entered, but seriously, there was no other way to describe it, he
was...sexy...

"Hey, how about I show you the grand tour of the farm. If you are
interested, that is."

He looked at me and he smiled shyly.

"I'd like that", he said.

We walked and talked the whole time while I showed him what me and my
father did on a daily basis, and the odd thing was that he seemed genuinely
interested by what I had to say and show him. When he got back he asked if
I minded if he took a little rest on my bed and after I said that he was
welcome, he thanked me and left.

I returned to my work around the farm and once I was through almost half of
my duties, I heard my father call me. I returned to the house only to see
my best friend, Kathryn Palmer, the daughter of our neighbours, standing
there and waiting for me. We have been friends for as long as I can
remember and our families have always pushed us into having a relationship.
We took a little walk to the lake and sat there for a little while, just
talking about the school that was about to start again and even about
Uni. When we walked back home, I decided to see if the guy from last night
wanted something to eat and drink. Dad told me that since he was doing much
better that he decided to let him stay a couple of days until he was
better. He wasn't in any immediate danger. Kathryn followed me and we both
saw him sitting in the living room, talking to my father.

"Hey man, sorry that I forgot all about you, but I've been busy all
morning. You hungry or something?"

He stood up and smiled.

"Your father was so kind as to offer me something. You've done enough
already, you know."

I felt this jerking movement beside me, coming from Kathryn. I looked at
her, there was something wrong, and because all that she did was stare at
this guy...did she know him or something?

"Kath, what's wrong?"

She took another step closer to this guy and then she turned around and
rushed out of the room like something was chasing her. I ran after her and
stopped her just before she reached the stables.

"Kath, please tell me what's wrong! Do you know that guy?"

"Holy mother of...this can't be..." she mumbled.

"What are you talking about? You know him?"

"Tyler! Where have you been this past couple of years? You know who that
man inside your living room is?"

"No, there was nothing that I could identify him with...wait a minute; you
DO know who he is! Please tell me; maybe we can help him phone his family
or something!"

Kathryn took a deep breath and then she looked me straight in the eye.

"I can't believe that you don't know who...believe me or not Tyler, that
man is a famous soccer player! He plays for Manchester United, he is
Portuguese and his name is Cristiano Ronaldo!"

Well, what do you think? Should I continue? I have a couple of ideas where
