Chapter 9 - Explanations and Planning Before all went to bed Faith told Chris, Angel, Wyatt, and Melinda that she had some things she wanted to explain to them. Angel couldn't sleep in an upstairs bedroom or on the couch in the living room or much less in the sun room. So Faith went and made a bed for Angel in the basement. It was one of the things she would explain about Angel. In fact for Faith to explain things with all of them in the room, she would have to wait until sunset. Faith went upstairs to go to bed. When she arrived in the room, Chris was already asleep. Faith changed to sleeping clothes and laid down next to Chris. Faith rubs her hands on her slight baby belly and says "I'm sorry if tomorrow causes mommy stress." Chris hears Faith but remains asleep and wraps his arm around her drawing Faith to his chest. Within minutes Faith was fast asleep. The next morning Faith is the first to wake up and seeing that daylight is barely starting goes to the basement and checks on Angel. "Hey" Faith says as she walks downstairs. "Hey Faith." Angel says as he looks at Faith walking down the stairs. "So how did you sleep?" Faith asks making small talk. "I don't sleep at night remember." Angel says giving Faith a curious look. "Right" Faith says moving to sit on the stairs. "Are you alright Faith?" Angel asks looking at Faith. "Yeah I'm five by five." Faith says with a half smile. "Are you sure?" Angel asks with worry looking at Faith. "Well" Faith starts "There have been a lot of things that have happened with me. Things I thought would never happen and things that made me the happiest person." Angel says nothing and continues to look at Faith. "You know everything that I've been through and what I've done right?" Faith says with regret in her voice. "Yeah and I know you're not that person anymore. So what's going on?" Angel asks as he walks to sit next to Faith on the stairs. "Look Angel there are things that I have to tell and explain to you. There are also things I have to tell Chris and explain to him too." Faith says with a firm voice. "Well I'm right here so start talking." Angel says sitting next to Faith. "I will but I want to do it with you, Chris, Wyatt, and Mel at the same time." Faith says sitting up a little. "Faith whatever it is you know I'll understand right." Angel says as he puts his arm around Faiths' shoulder. "Yeah I know but there is a lot to explain and talk about." Faith says making a mental list. Chris walked to the kitchen and heard voices coming from the basement. Chris saw the door open and walked to it. Stopping at the top of the stairs Chris saw Angels' arm around Faiths' shoulder. "Faith babe are you alright?" Chris asks looking at Faith and Angel sitting on the stairs. Faith turns her head around when she hears Chris and says "Chris yeah me and Angel were just talking." "Morning." Angel says turning to look at Chris also. "Morning." Chris says looking at Angel. "I'm going to start making breakfast, do you like anything in particular?" "No nothing for me thank you." Angel says and then looks at Faith curiously. "Okay, Faith you want to help me?" Chris asks looking at Faith. 'I'll be there in a minute." Faith says looking up at Chris. Angel says nothing but continues looking at Faith. "One of the things I have to explain." Faith says getting up to walk up the stairs. 'See you in a few hours." Angel says moving to the bed to sleep before the sunlight shines through the small windows. "Yeah see you at sunset." Faith says with a smile. Faith walks into the kitchen to see that Chris has already started cooking. "Hey baby, I put some toast on a plate for you." Chris says as he walks to give Faith a kiss. "Thank you babe the baby and I appreciate it." Faith says as she rubs her stomach and kisses Chris again. "So why are you up so early?" Chris asks as he walks to the stove to finish cooking. "I wanted to see how Angel was." Faith says and then takes a bite of her toast. "So he's doing alright?" Chris asks glancing at Faith and then back at the food. "Yeah and I told him that there are things I have to talk to him about and explain." Faith says as she walks to sit at the table. "You mean about us being witches and you being pregnant?" Chris asks putting pancakes on a plate. "Yeah and there are things that I have to talk and explain to you guys." Faith says looking at Chris. "What about?" Chris asks curiously looking at Faith. "I want to talk about everything later when Wyatt and Mel are here." Faith says taking another bite of her toast. "Speaking of Wyatt and Mel, they should be coming down in a little bit." Chris says putting more food on another plate. Faith finishes her toast and looks at Chris as if to say 'I want more or is there anything else'. Chris looks at Faith and says "Don't worry baby, here I also fixed you up a fruit plate." Chris hands Faith the fruit plate and Faith says "Thanks baby hopefully I'll get to eat what you cook soon." "Don't worry once we get you checked out, we'll know when the morning sickness will stop. Besides you need to eat healthy for the baby." Chris says as he moves to sit next to Faith. "Yeah that's true." Faith says as she smiles to herself. Chris and Faith eat in a comfortable silence and feed each other but Chris feeds Faith her fruit instead of his food. A few minutes later Wyatt comes downstairs. Wyatt almost runs into the kitchen looking for Angel when he sees Chris and Faith sitting at the table eating. Wyatt looks around the kitchen and doesn't see Angel. "Morning guys." Wyatt says walking in and moving to get a plate of food. "Morning Wy, you're up early." Chris says looking at Wyatt. "Well you know classes and all." Wyatt lies not wanting to tell Chris and Faith that he got up early to check out Angel. Chris gives Faith a look that says 'yeah right' and says "Well eat up there is plenty." "Faith how is your friend um." Wyatt says pretending to forget Angels' name as he walks to sit at the table opposite Faith and Chris. "Angel, well he's doing alright and he's down in the basement sleeping by now." Faith says getting the last piece of fruit from her plate to put in her mouth. "Asleep at this time?" Chris asks looking at Faith. "Well Angel is a night person." Faith says covering the fact that Angel is a vampire. That is one of the main things that she has to talk about with Chris, Wyatt, and Mel. Wyatt smiles thinking different than what Faith knows about Angel. "Wyatt will you be here say around six tonight?" Faith asks looking at Wyatt. "Yeah I should be I have classes till about four in the afternoon." Wyatt says and then puts a good helping of food in his mouth. "There are some things I want to talk about but I want you and Mel around when I do." Faith says getting up and walking to the sink to put her plate in. 'I'll be here." Wyatt says taking another big helping of food in his mouth. "Why will Wy be here?" Melinda asks walking into the kitchen. "I want to talk to you guys and Angel and wanted you guys here." Faith says a little nervous. In all the years that Faith has been a slayer, she has never been nervous. Faith has always been the strong one and speaks her mind. For some reason today was not a day that Faith was the slayer she always was. "What did you want to talk about?" Melinda asks as she makes her way to get a plate of food. "Just some things that can wait till tonight say around six." Faith says as she walks to the door to leave the kitchen. "Yeah sure I'll be here." Melinda says walking to sit at the table with her plate of food. "Okay." Faith says walking out the door of the kitchen to head upstairs. "What was that about?" Melinda asks looking from Wyatt to Chris. "I don't know but I think she's worried about something." Chris says looking from the door to Melinda. "She must be because she didn't seem like the Faith that has been living here for four months." Wyatt says looking at Chris. "I don't know what it is but hopefully when she talks to all of us we'll know and she will feel better." Chris says getting up to take his plate to the sink. Chris goes upstairs and leaves Wyatt and Melinda in the kitchen to eat. "So you're up early Wy. Does it have anything to do with Faiths' friend?" Mel asks giving Wyatt an 'I know what you're up to' look. "I have to go to my classes and start looking into graduation." Wyatt lies to Melinda like he thought he did with Chris and Faith. "Okay yeah that works." Mel says knowing that Wyatt lied to her. "Fine I came to check out Angel, but he's asleep in the basement." Wyatt says looking from Mel to the basement door. "I knew you would have it for him." Mel says. "Wait what's he doing sleeping at this time?" "I don't know, Faith says that he is a night person." Wyatt says and smiles at Mel. "So what about Nick?" Mel asks looking at Wyatt. "What about him." Wyatt says finishing up his food. "I thought that you had a crush on him." Mel says before putting food into her mouth. "I thought I did but after we slept together and then I saw Angel, I just don't think I feel that way towards him anymore." Wyatt says getting up from the table and walking to put his plate in the sink. "What you guys slept together already." Mel asks almost choking on her food. "It just happened and he was good but it felt kind of off." Wyatt says thinking about what happened last night. "What do you mean off?" Mel asks getting up from the table to put her plate in the sink. "Maybe not off but empty I guess." Wyatt says trying to pinpoint the problem. "Wow" Mel says sort of in shock at Wyatt's words. "What does that mean?" Wyatt asks looking at Melinda "Nothing I just never thought that you would be one to start maturing." Mel says with a smile. "I am mature; I'm older than you are." Wyatt says returning Melinda's' smile. "You know what I mean Wy. I hope that you do find that guy that does make you feel complete and whole." Mel says as she moves to give Wyatt a hug. "I'm hoping.' Wyatt says while thinking about Angel. Wyatt and Mel leave the kitchen and head out to live their daily lives. Somewhere across town Nick wakes up and gets out of bed. He moves at a normal speed but finds out that his ass is a little sore. He thinks back to when Wyatt was fucking him like no tomorrow. Getting angry at Wyatt for practically using him and then moving on to some other guy. "I'll make you pay Wyatt Halliwell." Nick says with anger in his voice. Nick slowly limps to the bathroom to relieve himself and get ready for the day. He knew that he would see Wyatt later on in the day for their Psych class. Nick still wasn't sure what to plan on how to get Wyatt back. "It has to be something that will teach him for being sleeping around." Nick thought to himself. "Something that will teach him for being a damn jerk." Back at the manor Faith is looking at herself in the mirror and rubbing her little baby bump. She had been at it for the last few minutes. "You look beautiful you know." Chris says looking at Faith seeing herself in the mirror. Faith turns to face Chris and says "You're just saying that, I'm starting to get fat." "No I mean it, you always look beautiful to me but more now that you're carrying our baby." Chris says walking up to Faith. Faith turns back to the mirror and says "I don't know." Chris stands behind Faith and looks at her in the mirror and asks "Baby where is all this coming from, I mean really you look beautiful to me no matter what." "I don't know maybe I'm just worried with what I want to talk to you guys about and then it might also be my hormones." Faith says looking at Chris' reflection. "Babe is it really that difficult for us to understand what you have to tell us. Because if it is and you get stressful that you might hurt the baby then you don't have to say anything." Chris says comforting Faith. "It could be because there are some things that you guys don't know about me that you might not understand. I don't want to lose you or my family and I'm just getting started on my family." Faith says rubbing her stomach. "Baby there is nothing you can say that will ever make us stop loving you or wanting you apart of our family. Especially when you're apart of my family." Chris says as he rubs one hand on Faiths' stomach and wrapping one hand around her waist. "I love you Chris and I love our baby." Faith says turning around in Chris' arms to face him. "I'll hold you to that by the way." "Feeling better?" Chris asks and then kisses Faith with passion. "Ya, I'm feeling better and in fact so much better that we could you know." Faith says walking forward and pushing Chris towards the bed. "Oh really well in that case." Chris says and then telekinetically closes the door to their bedroom. Wyatt was walking to his Psych class. He had gotten done talking to his counsellor about what other classes he needed to graduate. Luckily enough for Wyatt it turned out that he need at least one more tern and then could graduate. On his way to class he spotted his cousin Henry Jr. "What are you doing here cousin?" Wyatt asks walking to Henry Jr. "Hey Wyatt, well oddly enough I'm just walking around trying to get a feel of this place to see if I want to come here." Henry Jr. says to Wyatt and looks around. "Well it is a good school and one I'll be graduating from soon." Wyatt says with a smile. "Wow already." Henry Jr. says with surprise. "Yup, just got done talking to my counsellor about graduation." Wyatt says still with a smile plastered on his face. "Aunt Piper will be excited about that one." Henry Jr. says knowing Piper will be excited for her son. "Yeah I can't wait to give the good news to everybody." Wyatt says thinking of when he should tell everybody. "Well just have to throw you a blow out party." Henry Jr. says thinking of the possibilities. "Then I better make sure that I graduate then." Wyatt says with a laugh. Unknown to Wyatt and Henry Jr. their conversation is being watched by a third party. "Well I better get to class." Wyatt says not wanting to miss flirting with his professor. "Yeah I better let you get to it so you can pass and get closer to graduating." Henry Jr. says looking around the campus. "Well I'll see you later cousin." Wyatt says and then walks off to his class. "See you later cousin." Henry Jr. says before turning to here someone say "Excuse me." "How can I help you?" Henry Jr. asks looking at the person. 'You're Wyatt's cousin right?" Nick asks making sure he overheard right. "Yeah I am and how do you know Wyatt?" Henry Jr. asks not sure what to make of Nick. "I was just coming to talk to him when he was talking to you but I guess I just missed him." Nick lies "He said that he was going to class." Henry Jr. says looking at Nick curiously. "Oh okay, I guess I'll catch him later then." Nick says seeing the curious look Henry Jr. is giving him. "He'll be around here somewhere." Henry Jr. says looking around the campus. "I'll wait around for him then. By the way my name's Nick." Nick says extending his hand to Henry Jr. Not sure if he should be shaking hands with a total stranger but then thinking he probably is one of Wyatt's friends, Henry Jr. extends his hand to shake with Nicks. "Henry." Henry Jr. says looking at Nick in the eyes. "It's nice to meet you Henry." Nick says with a grin. "Same here but I have to be going now. I'll let Wyatt know you were looking for him if I see him." Henry Jr. says before walking away. "No that's okay I'm sure I'll see Wyatt around here." Nick says looking at Henry Jr.s' ass and thinking it will be fun to use him to get to Wyatt. After meeting Henry, Wyatt's cousin, Nick started thinking of how to best use Henry in his plans for revenge against Wyatt. If anything getting to fuck Henry Jr. would add more pleasure in the revenge against Wyatt. Then again deep down Nick wondered if Henry would be like Wyatt below the waist. Although it's something he won't do again but there was a need that just started to surface. A need that really unsettled Nick but he pushed it aside and made his way to his class. Back at the manor "Feeling better?" Chris asks Faith after they have spent an hour of having sex. "Well you did help me relieve some stress but I'm still a little worried about how things will go when we all talk." Faith says laying her head on Chris' chest. "Faith baby it can't be really that bad for you to worry about. I will love you no matter what." Chris says as he rubs arm with his finger in a light touch. "I know Chris but still there are some things that most people can't over look." Faith says picking up her head to look at Chris. "That may be true but we're not most people Faith. I mean I'm a witch and you're a slayer who happens to be pregnant with our baby. So please whatever it is don't let it get to you so much." Chris says comforting while pulls Faith closer to him. "It's because of our baby that I'm worried how he or she will see me if they knew everything about me." Faith says laying her head back on Chris' chest. "Baby as far as the baby is concerned you will love him or her with all your heart and besides you and I will be the best parents in the world." Chris says with a smile thinking of the future with Faith and their baby. "You're right Chris but still there are things I've done that I'm not proud of but I've changed and I'm going to do my best to take care of our baby so that doing that will be the proudest thing I've done with my life." Faith says looking up at Chris. "Babe what could you have done that you regret so much. This isn't like you to be so unsure of yourself." Chris says looking down at Faith. "I wanted to wait and talk with everybody but I want you to be the first to know so hopefully you won't be too disappointed with me." Faith says sitting up bed. Chris sits up in bed nest to Faith and says "I told you baby nothing will ever make me see or feel differently about you." "Let me tell you first and then you will see if that isn't true." Faith says looking away from Chris. Chris moves his hand to under Faiths' chin and pulls her head to face him and says "It's true." Faith inhales a breath for courage. "Before I say anything promise me that you won't say anything till I'm done. Okay Chris." Faith says still scared of the possibilities of what Chris could say and do. Chris just nods his head in agreement. "When I first started being a Slayer I used to be reckless and carefree. One night Buffy and I went on patrol and after fighting some vampires I mistakenly staked a guy. I ended up killing him and from there I just went down the wrong path. I killed people and even helped the mayor ascend to power. I was even jealous of Buffy and her Scooby gang. I had switched bodies with her and did horrible things. We switched back and I took off. Angel is the only one that saw that I wasn't some killer that was meant to be doing all those things. He helped me see that I had to take responsibility for my actions and to change my life. So I turned myself in and went to prison for awhile. I escaped prison to help Angel save Las Angeles and then went to help Buffy beat the First and ubervamps. After all that and during all that I changed and started doing things the right way and helped in training future slayers. I just started travelling and that's when I met you and everybody else." Faith says looking at Chris with the last sentence. Chris pulled Faith closer to him and says "I'm sorry baby that you had to go through all that." "I regret all those bad things I did Chris. I know no matter what I do I can never change it. That's why I want to do what's best for our baby and make it the proudest moment in my life." Faith says pulling away from Chris' hug. "Babe you're not that person anymore and our baby will learn who you really are. We can forget about your past and focus on our future all three of us." Chris says looking at Faith with a smile. "So you're not disappointed with me for the things I've done?" Faith asks looking at Chris. "Look Faith I told you that nothing you do or say will ever change how I see or feel about you. Like you said you've changed and you're not that person anymore. If anything I'm proud of you for taking responsibility and changing your life. I'm also proud that you will be the mother of my children." Chris says and then kisses Faith passionately. "I just hope everyone else will see it that way too." Faith says more to herself than to Chris. 'Don't worry baby they will because believe me we may be good witches but we've had our fair share of toeing the wrong line." Chris says looking at Faith. "But still.." Faith says almost voicing her concerns but is cut off by Chris. "But still nothing. We love you and your family, my family and carrying our baby." Chris says "I have to thank Angel when I see him." "Wait why do you have to thank Angel when you see him?" Faith asks curiously. "Well because he helped you become the person you are today. You are the love of my life and the mother of my children." Chris says then giving Faith a passionate kiss. "Speaking of Angel, there are some things that you have to know about him too." Faith says looking at Chris. "Like what?" Chris asks looking at Faith. "That is something I want to talk about with everybody, especially when Wyatt is here." Faith says with a smile. "Why Wyatt?" Chris asks returning Faith's smile "Well it's obvious he has the hots for Angel." Faith says with a little laugh. "Well yeah like he could lie and say he was getting up early for classes." Chris says with his own little laugh. "I'm not going to push either one in that direction but I hope Wyatt gets what we have." Faith says whole heartedly. "Does Angel even swing that way?" Chris asks curiously. "Not that I know of but you never know. If Wyatt had his way he and Angel would be together tomorrow." Faith says with a little laughter. "Knowing Wy, that would be true, but still if Angel don't swing that way I don't want Wy to get his hopes up and then be crushed." Chris says thinking of the possibility of Wyatt and Angel getting together. "Well we'll have to see what happens I guess." Faith says thinking of asking Angel which way he swings. "So are you feeling any better now that you've talked to me?" Chris asks and then places a kiss on Faiths' head. "You know I do feel better but I think I'll feel better if we." Faith says getting up and sits on Chris' lap and starts kissing Chris' neck. "Well let's get you feeling better than." Chris says with a smile and kisses Faith. Chris was starting to love this day. Yes he and Faith had sex but today was a day where Faiths' hormones took a turn for the better and craved sex with Chris. Chris loved Faith and would never turn down this side of Faith. Today was turning into a blissful day for Chris but he was still worried about Faith and what she wanted to talk to everyone about. Chris decided that when the time came for Faith to talk to everyone, he would be right there holding her hand giving her the courage to say what she needed to say. Back at the college with Wyatt Wyatt's Psychology class had just finished. Wyatt wanted to talk to Nick and see how he was doing after last night. He knew that they could never just have sex again, mostly because now he was crushing it bad for Angel. Wyatt decided that maybe he and Nick could be friends at least even though they had sex. Wyatt followed Nick into the hallway to see if he can talk to Nick. "Hey Nick wait up a minute." Wyatt says before extending his hand to stop Nick by the shoulder. "Hey Wyatt." Nick responds coldly as pulls his shoulder away from Wyatt's' hand. Wyatt notices the cold tone in Nicks' voice but continues on with what he wanted to say. "I wanted to ask you if you still wanted to study for the test." Wyatt says before he gets to the real reason he wanted to talk to Nick. "No it's alright I got it covered." Nick says dismissively starting to walk away from Wyatt. "Are you sure? I mean it would help me too." Wyatt says hoping Nick will change his mind. "Sorry I'm not interested in helping the great Wyatt Halliwell." Nick says with a little anger in his voice. "I didn't mean it like that." Wyatt says getting angry and regretting talking to Nick. "Whatever" Nick says turning around to walk away. "Nick look I'm sorry about last night and I was hoping we could still be friends." Wyatt says extending his hand to turn Nick around to face him. "I don't need anymore friends. Why don't you go study with your new play thing?" Nick says getting angrier but keeping a low voice. "What new play thing?" Wyatt asks looking at Nick with curiosity. "The new guy that walked into your house. You know the one you couldn't take your eyes off of and completely ignored me." Nick says pulling his shoulder away from Wyatt's' grasp. Wyatt remembered what had happened last night when Angel walked into the house. Wyatt stood there knowing Nick was right about Wyatt ignoring him and was unable to say anything. "Yeah that's what I thought." Nick says as he turns and walks away. Wyatt was dumbfounded by Nick being right. It also made Wyatt realize the consequences of Wyatt sleeping with Nick and maybe not just Nick but sleeping around. Wyatt knew he wasn't a slut but sleeping with guys just for sex lead to hurt and pain in the end. Wyatt also knew that if was to have a chance with Angel, he couldn't just treat him like that. He was going to be friends with Angel first and then go from there. 'Wow" Wyatt thought to himself. As he realized how much Angel is making him change even though they have not officially talked. Back at the Manor Melinda walks in the front door in time to see Faith walking down the stairs. Melinda notices Faiths' hair is flat is some areas and looking a little tired. Melinda smiles to herself as she realizes that Faith and Chris had sex. Then Melinda shook her head in disgust at the thought of Chris having sex. "Hey Mel." Faith says stepping off the last step of the stairs. "Hey Faith." Mel answers back. Melinda decided to have a little fun teasing Faith. "So what did you do today?" "Just going to the kitchen for a snack." Faith says avoiding Melinda's' question. "Yeah that's what you're doing right now but I meant earlier." Mel says with a slight evil grin on her face. "I just slept most of the day." Faith lies as she goes to the fridge to get things out to make a sandwich. "Uh huh." Mel says not believing Faith. "What I did." Faith says faking a little anger in her voice. "Oh I'm sure you were in bed all day." Melinda says with a smile on her face. "Geez Mel, nosy much." Faith says hoping that would get her off her back. "Okay, okay you slept all day." Melinda says putting the teasing on the side for now. Faith continues to make her sandwich and Mel sits and watches her. Their quiet is interrupted with something Mel thought she would never hear. "Babe are you ready for round three because I am." Chris says walking into the kitchen in only his boxers. Melinda just cracks out laughing as she heard what Chris said and seeing him in his boxers. Faith cheeks turn red with embarrassment knowing that she and Chris got caught. "Oh crap, Mel." Chris says as he walks or practically runs out of the kitchen. Melinda was laughing so hard she almost fell off the stool she was sitting on. "I knew it." Melinda says between laughs and taking in air. Faith says nothing as she grabs her sandwich and walks out of the kitchen and upstairs to her bedroom with Chris. Melinda can be heard laughing in the kitchen. Chris is sitting at the foot of the bed with his head in his hands. He looks up when he hears the door open and sees Faith walking in with her sandwich. "Oh God is Mel still laughing?" Chris asks looking at Faith. "Yeah and I think she will be for awhile." Faith says walking to sit on her side of the bed to eat her sandwich. "I'm sorry; I shouldn't have walked downstairs in just my boxers and asked if you wanted to have sex again." Chris says with regret in his voice. "Don't be Chris. We're all adults here and I love to see you in your boxers." Faith says with a seductive smile. "Oh really. Well in that case how about without my boxers." Chris says returning Faiths' seductive smile. Faith leans in and kisses Chris and then says "Well in a little while, I'm starving." and then takes a bite of her sandwich. Chris leans down and lifts Faiths' shirt to kiss her slight baby bump. "I love you baby." Faith looked down at Chris and smiled. 'He really does love the baby.' Faith thinks to herself. Chris sits back up and looks at Faith eat her sandwich. Faith looks at Chris and asks "You want a bite." "No it's okay it's for you and the baby." Chris says not wanting to take away food from Faith and the baby. "Chris it's alright. I can go and make another one later." Faith says looking at Chris. "If you're sure babe. I don't want to eat when you should be eating." Chris says still reluctant to take a bite of Faiths' sandwich. "I'm sure." Faith says with a smile. "Okay" Chris says and then leans into take a bite of the sandwich. Downstairs Wyatt walks into the house and heads to the kitchen for a snack and maybe a glimpse of Angel. Wyatt makes himself a sandwich and heads to the living room to watch TV. Wyatt walks in and sees Melinda sitting in one of the chairs watching TV. "Hey Mel, what are you watching?" Wyatt asks as he sits down and then takes a bite of his sandwich. "Hey Wy, oh nothing just flipping channels." Mel answers back as she turns to look at Wyatt. Melinda notices the look on Wyatt's' face. "Are you alright Wy?" Wyatt swallows the bite he just chewed and answers "Yeah it's just that I talked to Nick today and it didn't go so well." "Why what happened?" Mel asks with concern in her voice. "He's just angry with me for ignoring him when Angel walked in the door last night. I offered to study with him again but he turned me down. I apologized but I don't think it did much." Wyatt says feeling a little relieved talking about it with Mel. "Well it is understandable that he is angry with you. Just give him sometime to cool off and then try talking to him again." Mel says giving Wyatt a slight smile. "Just be sure not to sleep with him again because that's what got you in this mess." Wyatt rolls his eyes at Mel and says "I know and don't worry it won't happen again." Wyatt didn't want to tell Melinda what was really going through his mind. He just wanted to think about it for awhile. The two sit and watch TV for awhile. Chris and Faith come downstairs and Chris avoids eye contact with Melinda. Melinda smiles as she remembers what happened earlier. Faith gives her a look that says 'Please don't say anything right now'. Faith looks out the window and notices that it is sun set. "I'll be back in a minute." Faith says to Chris as she walks to go to the basement to get Angel. Faith walks to the basement door and knocks to let Angel know she's at the door. She opens it and asks "Angel you up?" "Yeah I'm up" Angel says stretching his legs and arms. "We'll be in the living room when you're ready to come up. Remember there are some things I wanted to talk about with you and everybody." Faith says walking half way down the stairs. "Yeah I'll be up there in a minute." Angel says walking to get his coat to put on. "Okay" Faith says as she walks back up the stairs to head to the living room. Angel walks up the stairs to see that Faith in the kitchen eating a banana dipped in peanut butter. Angel gives her a 'what are you doing' look. Faith notices Angels' look and says "Sorry I had a craving." "What." Angel says in disbelief of what Faith said and implied. "Something I want to talk to you about with everybody else. Now come they are in the living room waiting." Faith says before she takes a bite of the banana covered in peanut butter and walking out the door to the living room. Angel follows in tow. Faith finishes her peanut butter and banana and sets the jar down on the table in front of the sofa. Chris sits in the chair next to Faith and Angel sits in the other chair while Melinda and Wyatt sit on the sofa. "I know that I asked you guys to be here so I can explain some things. I want you guys here because you guys are the closest thing I have to family aside from the Slayers. First I want to talk to Angel about you guys and then talk about Angel to you guys." Faith says looking at everyone in front of her. Everyone nods but says nothing. "Okay well first off Angel, Chris here is my boyfriend and this is Wyatt and Melinda, his brother and sister." Faith says gesturing to Wyatt and Melinda. "There is something you need to know about them, they are witches but not just ordinary witches. They are very good, very powerful witches." "I know I could smell it in the air when I walked in here last night. I didn't say anything because if you were here and you weren't hurt then you must've known something about them." Angel says looking from Faith to Chris, Melinda and lingered a little on Wyatt and then back to Faith. "Smell it?" Chris asked looking at Faith suspiciously. "Well get to that in a minute." Faith says looking at Chris with a hint of nervousness in her voice. "Okay." Chris says giving Faith a kiss on the cheek. "There is also something you have to know aside from Chris being my boyfriend." Faith says looking at Angel. "I'm pregnant." Faith takes Chris' hand and moves it to in front of her stomach and looks at Angel for his reaction. Angel says nothing looking at Faith and Chris. He notices the love and the protectiveness in Chris' eyes and then looks to Faiths' and sees the same love and a little fear of what Angel might say. Actually Wyatt, Melinda, Faith, and Chris were looking at Angel for any type of reaction. "Congratulations." Angel says with a smile. He then walks over to Faith and hugs her and shakes Chris' hand. "Really, you mean that?" Faith asks looking at Angel to make sure she heard right. "Yeah, I mean I looked at you and Chris and I could see the love you guys have and the protectiveness in Chris' eyes." Angel says and then gives Faith another hug. "I wasn't sure how you were going to take it." Faith says honestly looking at Angel. "Honestly, I'm a bit surprised but I know you can handle it." Angel says with a smile. "I hope you're right." Faith says with half a smile. "You will and you deserve good things to happen to you after everything that you've been through." Angel says comfortingly. Chris overhears what Angel says and goes to Faith and puts his arm on Faiths' shoulder and says "Baby he's right, you do deserve this after everything." Angel looks to Faith and asks "He knows?" "Yeah and it doesn't matter to him. He loves me and I love him." Faith says with a slight smile. "I was scared that it would matter but I'll tell you all about that later on." "So what did Angel mean by 'smell it'?" Wyatt asks looking at Faith, Chris and Angel. "Well there is something you need to know about Angel." Faith says with a hint of nervousness in her voice. "He's a vampire." "What." is the only word that comes from all three Wyatt, Chris and Melinda. Chris grabs Faith and moves to stand in front of her and Wyatt and Melinda stand up and move to Chris' side. All look at Angel. "Wait you guys, Angel is a good guy and not like other vampires you've come across." Faith says from behind Chris. Angel backs up and sits on the arm rest of the chair. Faith moves to stand in front of Chris, Wyatt, and Melinda. "It's a long story but that's why I wanted to talk to you guys about it. He won't hurt anybody." Chris looks at Faith and sees the worry and honesty in her eyes. He couldn't let her stress too much about for the baby's sake. "If you say so babe then I believe you." Chris says walking to Faith and putting his arms around her waist. "Thank you." Faith says looking at Chris. "So if he's not like other vampires we've come across, what makes him different?" Wyatt asks looking at Chris and Faith and then to Angel. "Well I'm glad you asked Wy." Faith says with a smile looking at Chris who also smiles. "Well what makes Angel different" Faiths stops mid sentence to look at Angel to get permission to continue. Angel nods his approval. "Is that he has a soul." "A soul, what do you mean by that?" Chris asks this time instead of Wyatt. "Well long story short, he was cursed by gypsies and now he has a soul. Now he helps stop evil and he's pretty good at it." Faith says with a smile looking at Angel. "Well it's a little more complicated than that but she's not that far off." Angel says looking to all three besides Faith. "Well I take it that you can't go out in daylight." Melinda says making everyone turn to her. She hadn't said anything since the start of the conversation. "Very observant." Angel says giving Melinda a nod. "What else about is different from other vamps?" Wyatt asks taking a little more interest in Angel than he did before. "With a soul, I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make up for all the wrong things I've done." Angel says with regret in his voice. Wyatt gives Angel a sad smile in understanding. "Speaking of that Angel, there is a favour I want to ask you since you're here. Wait by the way how long will you be here?" Faith asks looking at Angel curiously. Wyatt perked up waiting for Angels' answer. "Not sure really but what is it that you need?" Angel answers looking at Faith "Well after last night what happened with that vamp. I cam and checked the Book of Shadows and found out that the baby won't let me go out and stake vamps on my patrols." Faith says reminding Angel of what happened and what she found out. "What? When did that happen Faith?" Chris asks with worry in his voice. "I'll tell you about in a little while after I ask Angel what I need to ask him." Faith says looking at Chris with puppy dog eyes. "Okay" Chris says giving into Faith. "Angel I want to ask if you could take over my patrolling while you're here. I would but the baby won't let me and now I think the family won't let me." Faith says as she rubs a hand on her baby belly. "Got that right baby." Chris says walking up to stand behind Faith and wrapping his arms around her. Angel thinks about for a moment and says "Yeah sure to keep you and the baby safe." "So I guess now we'll have time to get to know each other." Mel says looking at Angel. Wyatt glares at Melinda as if to say 'hands off he's mine'. Melinda catches Wyatt's' glare and says "I mean now that you'll be staying for a while, we'll get to know more about you." Melinda hopes that that will change Wyatt's' glare. Wyatt's' glare softens towards Melinda but then turns to Angel to see what he says about staying in town for a while. "Well if I'm going to be taking over for Faith, then I guess I'll be here till she has the baby." Angel says looking to see if that's alright with Faith. "That would be great. Thank you." Chris says instead of Faith. Angel gives a smile and nod knowing that Chris doesn't want to endanger Faith or the baby. "I also wanted to thank you for everything you've done to help Faith." Chris says walking to Angel to shake his hand. "Well it was touch and go there for awhile but I'm glad she is the person she was always meant to be." Angel says accepting Chris' handshake. "I'm proud of her and happy she is the mother of my baby." Chris says smiling looking at Faith. Wyatt and Melinda look at each other not knowing what they are talking about. "Don't worry I'll tell you guys later." Chris says looking at his siblings knowing what they are thinking. "Okay" Wyatt and Melinda say in unison "Well I better get started on my patrolling seeing as it is almost night." Angel says standing up and looking out the window. "I'll show where I keep my stakes and stuff." Faith says walking out of the room and Angel following her. "I have to ask you guys. Will it be alright if Angel stays here?" Chris asks knowing that the house wasn't just his to make a decision like that but also asked on Faiths' behalf. "Well I have no problem with it and I'm sure Wyatt has no problem with it either." Mel says with a little giggle. "Well that's true." Chris says with a wide smile. "Geez am I that obvious?" Wyatt asks looking at Chris and Melinda. "Yeah" Chris and Melinda say in unison They all laugh and then Wyatt answers "Yeah I don't mind." "We all know." Chris answers for all three. Being himself, Faith, and Melinda. Just then Faith and Angel come into the living room to join everyone else. "Since, I'm the oldest of all three of us." Wyatt begins to say as he looks to Angel "I want to ask if you would like to stay here while you're in town?" Angel looks to Wyatt and smiles a faint smile and answers "Only if I won't be in the way." "It's no problem really, I mean you are Faith's friend and will be taking over for her and I'm sure you don't have a place to stay." Wyatt says keeping his voice calm and smooth. Angel looks to Faith who is looking at him with a mixture of pleading and reassurance. Angel looks back to Wyatt and says "Thank you, I would like to stay here." "Great." Wyatt says with a smile. With this new opportunity at hand got Wyatt's' wheels turning on getting to know Angel and maybe something more. Well actually a lot more. This was something Wyatt was going to take full advantage of no matter what.
