Date: Sat, 1 Jul 2006 12:52:26 EDT From: J Subject: DOCTOR WHO, JESSE, AND JEREMY 40 DOCTOR WHO, JESSE AND JEREMY 40 Somewhere in the Time Vortex, possibly originating at 1985 or perhaps 1813... The Rani yelled, "I will get him for this. It was he who set the TARDIS on this uncontrollable course! The navigational system! I hope the Doctor drowns in his own liquids..." Doctor cum rose up from the water. He sat in a large round tub in a Roman gothic style room. Bubbles were in the tub and all around bubbles flew in the air. The tiles around the tub were pink and there were some large red roses from other planets as well as Earth. He laid his head back on a spongy pillow object on the back of the tub. "Ahhh, yes. This is the life...I haven't had time for a bubble bath in, oh, years...years...years...a long time..." He shut his eyes. Bubbles parted. Large white soapy suds made a rift to allow something to come up between them. Jesse's head surfaced over the Doctor's crotch. He had been under the water, sucking the Doctor's member. He was soaking wet and he yet he had a big smile on his face. He floated up over the Doctor's stomach and chest and put his arms out to steady himself. The Doctor grabbed his hands and gently lowered Jesse to his chest. "You're right, Doctor, sometimes a bath, a bubble bath is preferable to a shower." "See," the Doctor lifted his head. "No, no. Relax," Jesse said, "I want you fit for this Luke Ward." "Luke Ward. My, my. Poor boy." The Doctor put his head back down. Jesse started up his neck, kissing him, moving up his neck, showering it slowly with pecks and long sucking motions. He moved to the Doctor's lower lip. "Was he someone that could have become your...?" "Companion?" "Lover?" "Oh, Jesse, you don't have to be jealous." "I'm...I'm not. Not really. I know your...our's is an open relationship." Jeremy ran in and yelled, "BONZAI!" He was in...well, he in his birthday suit and ran from the entrance, a grand seemingly cement archway, to the water and splashed down. Covering the Doctor's face with water as well as the back of Jesse' head. "Nothing like a rent in the air," the Doctor smiled and rubbed soap out of his eyes, "Jeremy, hello." Jeremy surfaced up behind Jesse and laid on him, dick in crack but not pressed to hole yet, saddling him down to the Doctor. The Doctor put Jesse to one side, while Jesse began to nibble on the Doctor's lower lip. "Whatcha talking about?" "Oh, companions," the Doctor put an arm around Jeremy as Jeremy sat down next to him inside the tub. He put an arm under Jesse too but Jesse was still facing the Doctor's side and nibbling on his lower lip. Then Jesse pulled back, "So what about him, Doc, Luke?" "Oh, I suppose he and I could have...I never thought about it back then. In my sixth or so persona, I was really busy with Peri Brown. A fellow American. I sometimes wonder how I survive with two aboard now. She was quite a handful. " Jeremy leaned in close to the Doctor, snuggling against his face with his own. "Did you and she?" "No. NO. Dear me, NO. No. Besides, you two know that aside from my wife... dear me. Dear dear me. Dear she. I've never really had sex with females. Just her." "That you can remember," Jesse added. "Yes, it is true that my memories have been juggled about a bit over the past 4000 or so years. Almost 2000 as the Other or longer and 2000 as the Doctor... my, my. There were so many things jogging my memories and rearranging them, wiping them. The various trials, time changes, time warps, time eddies, time Jamie's, time bends..." Jeremy sidelined his head, laughing slightly, "We get the idea, I think, Doctor." "...the brain worm...the various destructions of Gallifrey. My over 100 years spent on Earth, almost alone..." "Can't picture you alone anywhere, Doc." Jesse put a hand on the Doctor' s chest and laid back, too. "Oh there've been times..." he said absentmindedly. Across the Doctor's nice chest, Jeremy looked at Jesse. They exchanged a serious lock of eyes. Jeremy shook his head slightly in the negative. "So, uhm, Doc," Jesse said to snap the Doctor out of it, "Which ones do you remember the most?" "Well, as I was saying. I've never really had sex with any of them, the females that is...and I never had sex until dear Casey or was it Tom? My mind...I almost ...had sex with some of the male companions and I entertained the idea of trying with the females." Jeremy puckered up his lips. "To prove something?" "Well, in all intents and purposes, I was an alien. I kept the half human thing a secret for as long as I could. It made me look weak to my various stronger enemies if I was human or even partly human so I covered that up myself. Mind you, at times, my body was human, sometimes fully. I think during my First, Second, and even my Seventh incarnation, I was human. And there've been alternate Me's that I know were always human, and from Earth! Mind you, it is my favorite planet so I was honored. I've never seen or heard from other alternate me me's that were anything other than either Time Lord Gallifrean or Earth human. Do you guys understand?" Jeremy nodded, "yes" but Jesse nodded, "No." "Oh." "Just kiddin," Jesse said, "Go on." The Doctor puffed, "This was supposed to be relaxing." "We could just stop and rest if you'd like," Jesse said. "No, no. It helps to clear the cobwebs. I think I did it so little before I met you two, that that's why I was so closed emotionally and sexually...I never really was hetero, you know. Or bi. I think I tried to force it. I felt sad that I couldn't really forge a relationship that way with any of the others, especially such lovely and nice females. I think Liz Shaw was the first I thought about it. I used to hug her and she me. But that was it. When Jo Grant came around, I thought, "Ahhh ahhh, ha. This is the one. I will prove it with her. She and I will get romantic....then she went off and married that hunky Cliff Jones." "Betcha you really wanted him, instead," Jeremy commented. "You know, now that you mention it..." The Doctor smiled, "He was rather dreamy...long hair....seventies you know." "Ewl, he was in his seventies?" "No, it was the 1970s and I will have you know that for some, life doesn't begin until the 70s..." Jesse shut his eyes now. "Sorry, didn't mean to be so shallow..." "You're not. You just like good looking things. Can't say I blame you. I really couldn't do that sorta thing with Sarah Jane or Leela or even Romana...I mean I had strong bonds with all of them really. Very good friends. But that' s all they were. Good, close, best friends. In the back of my mind I always made some excuse that it was something else...the fact that they thought I was totally alien, that they weren't interested or they were to naive or innocent or something. And maybe they were waiting for me to make the first move." "Then...?" "Well after Romana, I had a string of younger girls..." "Doctor," Jesse patted his hand on the chest, "You stud..." "Not that way!" The Doctor smiled, taking in the joke. "I mean Nyssa really. The others...Tegan, Peri, Mel, and Ace...well, our relationships were all rather strained at best. I almost always looked at them like nieces and grand daughters, you know?" Jeremy shrugged, "I've seen pictures of Peri, and you know what, if I were hetero, I'd might...do ...well, suffice to say that I doubt there are many that think of her as their grand daughter!" "True. Along the way there was a Native American boy, Kiko. He was rather studly and I think Navajo. And 17 or 18 or 19 or something....I rather fancied him. He was so handsome and strong. And a little chimney cleaning boy and a boy from the coal mines. They were far too young for me." "I guess even you have your limits," Jesse laughed. "And boundaries..." "And there was Grant and a string of one or two other time travelers...and of course UNIT men..." "Ah, yeah, yes. I wondered if you ever did any of the men in uniform..." Jesse mentioned. "No, no, no. Even though sometime later than the UNIT stay on Earth, I discovered that good old, troubled Mike Yates was indeed, one of the people..." "Your people? A Time Lord?" "Stop the joking, the pair of you, before I give you my boot up your..." Jesse put in a praying position, "Oh please please please do that?" "Sigh," the Doctor said. "He was gay. Okay, I've said it, gay gay gay! And I had dear old Evelyn. She and I were sort of on an even keel. She understood me." "Was she the bestest?" Jeremy asked. The Doctor eyeballed him. Then his heart melted. "Dear Dear Jeremy, "you are so innocent, aren't you?" "Traveling around with you?" Jeremy shrugged, "Doubt that." "I am," Jesse said. Jeremy and the Doctor both laughed so hard and dropped their jaws so low, that they took in some water in their laughing. Jesse rolled his eyes and then laughed along with them. "So were we the first?" Jeremy asked, "The first males to ever have sex with you?" "No, no, not quite..I think Tom came first. Then Casey. I loved them both. I' m not sure I really had sex with them. The Master and the Rani fooled up with some of my memories of them both but they are okay and alive. I think I knew Tom first and Tom was but 15. Casey was a bit...oh dear, maybe he was the same age. When I met them anyway. They stayed on, separately for some time. Tom was with like my 9th self, maybe? Or was it my 19th? Oh dear. Damn." "It'll cum...." Jesse said. "Well, we certainly did, when they were the right age...but anyway, not too too long after Tom, I met Casey. Another American...I think I have a thing for Americans...probably after I met Grace and Chang Lee, I developed a taste for you guys..." The Doctor mimicked an American dialect. Then he went back to his British accent. "I think we had mutual masturbation..." "So what you're saying is that you might have been a virgin when you had us? " Jeremy asked. "Other than when I had sex with my wife..." "Female sex doesn't count," Jesse said. "Yeah, it does," Jeremy said in his best African American voice. "What body were you in when you met Casey?" "Oh, maybe my 12th or my 22nd?" The Doctor said, "None of it matters now. They paved the way for me to have a full and open relationship with the two of you." "Doctor, we are not going to leave you," Jesse said, "I want to restate that. We may both have some breaks or some time off to be with our families or to do a benefit or a movie or a song or so but...you're IT for us..." "Yeah," Jeremy shook his head. "As long as you feel you want us." "Absolutely." The Doctor put his head back again, "Just remember I don't want to hold you back from other people as well." "Such as?" Jeremy asked. "Adam for one." "He was so smokin," Jesse said. "And we won't hold you back..." Jeremy added. "From what?" "From who, from other people." "Such as?" "Luke Ward." "Ahhh, yes." The Doctor stood up, "Which reminds me, the TARDIS should be landing any..." They heard the familiar sound of the TARDIS touching down. " Second...time to go outside I think and once and for all, turn Luke and those two miners back to people..." A half hour later, the trio emerged from the TARDIS. The Doctor carried two of his strange round silver devices. They were almost like bubbles he had pulled from the tub but they weren't really. They were a metallic affair wrapped in a bubble filled with liquid. There was a place to manipulate the buttons without getting one's hand wet. "Ahh the past. I love the future but the past...there's nothing like it. Feel that air?" Jeremy did. It was cloudy and overcast with some sun shining in through slight breaks in the gray/white cloud cover. As he stretched, Jeremy took in the fresh air, "October, huh? I guess it smells like it. Reminds me of that place we once visited, eh, Doctor, Iron Bridge Gorge..." Jeremy wore an overcoat, almost a Doctor-ish velvet affair, dark brown with pockets. And a long gray sprinkled but mainly brown scarf. And dress pants and black shoes. "I'm getting a jacket," Jesse, who wore a lite red t shirt with a dark red collar and sleeve lining, went back inside. He also had on darker red lined pants and sneakers, also red. "Looks more like Blist's Hill in the Queen Elizabeth Country Park, West London," the Doctor smiled. :How can you tell the difference," Jeremy smiled, "Cold-ish..." "Remind me to tell you a story about the word ISH one time, you'll love it. This whole trip has a Peri feel to it." "Just as long as you told us the truth about you never having a feel to Peri." The Doctor laughed, "Clever wit, my boy, clever wit. You constantly remind me of why I travel with you." He handed Jeremy one of the devices, "You always pull your load." "And yours too." Jeremy smiled, then breathed in some of the crisp air. "Do you remember where Luke and the two men were?" "Oh, it's been eons since...for me 1000s of years have passed, over 25 or more bodies, memories have been jacked up and about and down and around..." "So you don't?" "No," the Doctor pointed, "This way." He lead Jeremy off. Green beneath their footsteps. It was green and shiny wet in the forest. Jesse came out wearing a lite, orange, almost lyrca, jacket. "Hey, wait for me." "Redfern Dell, that's where I'm requested to be!!!" The Doctor impersonated his Sixth Persona's voice. "That's what I used to be like." "Used to?" Jesse said, having overheard that. The trio walked through to the woods where it was bit darker under the canopy of leaves and branches. As they walked toward two trees in particular, the Doctor was talking to Jeremy about the circumstances surrounding the events that lead to the miners and Luke becoming trees. "We originally thought it was just the Luddite uprisings of the times...but 1813 is when they actually subsided..." They stopped at the two trees. The Doctor put the device he carried down. Jeremy stopped, stooped and did the same. The Doctor took out a magnifying glass and began to look at the two trees. "They're the men who were afraid machines would take their place, their jobs?" "Correct," the Doctor said, examining the trees some more. He put the magnifying glass away and took out a monocle, also from his blue leather jacket. He put it in his right eye and examined the trees. "It wasn't them though... it was but it was the Rani controlling them..." Jesse thought about trying to get into the conversation but thought he'd change it, "It's just rained, hasn't it? Feels very wet around here..." The Doctor didn't ignore him this time. "Killingworth, a colliery village a few miles north of Newcastle Upon Tyne . 19th century mining town. In the 1960s it would be the area known or renown for the mess of housing schemes, the housing proving unsuccessful. Rains a lot here not that the rough and tough and tumble men of the mine..." Jesse interjected, "I like them already." "Objected to working the rain. Truth was they were probably just a bit fearful of advancements..." the Doctor talked as he looked over the trees and then suddenly put his monocle back. "Well?" Jeremy asked, heaving the device from falling from his grasp. The Doctor nodded, "DON'T drop that," and he said it calmer than he ought to have. "It's the miners. Luke must be a few yards that way..." He set the device he laid down, "This should get one of them. And I'll set that one as well. For Luke, however, I'll need the third one from the TARDIS. Jesse?" Jesse puffed, "Oh me?" "Can you please get it?" Jeremy asked, his wide open eyes pleading. "Oh, those eyes, oh alright," Jesse said and ran back to the TARDIS, taking his key out as he did so. "He'd so anything for me," Jeremy looked up at the Doctor. "You're shameless," the Doctor told him, from standing over him. Then he bent down, turned his back to Jeremy and began working on the device he laid at the base one of the tree closest to them. "Oh come on, like he wouldn't do anything for you, too." "Okay, stand back," the Doctor said and pulled him up. "Take that with you ..." As they stood back, about 30 feet away, they watched, not taking their eyes off the area even as they moved back. "How long?" "Seconds. And you're right, we'd all do anything for each other," the Doctor said. "Yeah," Jeremy said as the bomb went off. The leaves in the dirt flew up in the air. The trees were gone and in their place were two miners. "Doctor! It worked! You did it!" "We did. You, me, Jesse, Davi, the students from the elevator...all working together from different times..." "Seems you got two with one shot..." Jeremy said. "Just like he does with us sometimes." Jesse was back, huffing and he put the third device down and began to sit on it, "Seems we don't need this one after all. What a wasted trip I made for nothing..." The Doctor grabbed him by the arm and pulled him off the device, "DON'T do that! You can't sit on that!" Jesse gulped, "You're right, I'm sorry." "I don't want to see you become a daffodil or a papaya..." "I'm really sorry, wasn't thinking..." Jesse said. The miners were unsteady on their feet. They saw the Doctor, Jesse and Jeremy. "Best not to do anything, let them acclimate to..." the Doctor began but the miners, frightened, ran off. "Sure that they don't do anything to change the timeline?" Jeremy asked. Jesse sighed. They looked at him. "I'm going to go for a walk." "It..it's..it IS safe, right, Doctor?" Jeremy worried for Jesse. "What?" The Doctor said, as he examined the device near where the miners had turned to trees. "Yes, oh yes. Very. Now that the Rani and the Master are gone. I, uh," he laughed, "I sabotage the Rani's TARDIS..." Jesse moved off, "Yeah, we know. You told us..." "Don't go far," the Doctor said, "We just have to find Luke and turn him ..." The Doctor looked at Jeremy, "Do you think...you don't think he's getting bored with me, do you?" "No, he's just in one of his moods, it'll pass," Jeremy said. "Doctor, is it okay? The miners, they won't mess up time or anything, will they?" "No, I checked their personal timelines. Seems they don't do much of anything...in fact, I couldn't find much about them beyond this point...Luke either for that matter. So you see, they were never meant to become trees...it was the Rani's time interference that changed time in the first place but only ever so slightly. We're just..." the Doctor tilted his head like a dog that heard a strange whistle, "...ever so slightly tilting it back..." "If you say so," Jeremy said. He picked up the device Jesse had put down. "I'd say Luke's over here," the Doctor picked up the other device. "Let' s see if we can do the same thing we did for those miners..." Jesse moved through the area. He saw a large gate and decided to stay away from that. Then he saw a large area of woods and moved through it. He put his hands in his pockets. He kicked something. Stone? He looked down at the ground and tracked what he had kicked. He moved toward the "stone" he kicked. He touched it. "A kid's toy?" It was a dog. A black dog. A guard dog. "I wonder..." The deed was already done. Luke Ward stood before the Doctor and Jeremy. " Luke? Can you hear me? Luke?" Jeremy puffed, "He's been a tree for a long time...no wait, that's not right. We must have just arrived a few minutes after..." "Yes. He's only been a tree for a few minutes, I'd say ten at most but even ten is a lifetime of changing adventure..." The Doctor looked up at the tall boy. "Luke...Luke..." he snapped his fingers. "Snap out of it." "Are...you... a...friend... of...my... father's?" "Yes, I'm the Doctor...do you remember?" "The Doctor? Where's your...." Luke laughed, "You are NOT the Doctor." "Oh, can't you accept that he is?" Jeremy said. Luke looked at Jeremy and noticed him for the first time. He seemed to see nothing else. Luke smiled, "Hello there..." "Your, uh, your father is alright, Luke. He's, hum, uhm, waiting for you..." the Doctor said, "Before you leave, though I wanted to thank you, thank you for saving my friend Peri." "Oh nothing to it," Luke said, "I felt imprisoned in this immobile manner. It was the least I could do. I'm not sure I understand everything that happened to me..." "I know how you feel." Jeremy said, and put his hand out, "Goodbye..." "Goodbye? We've only just met..." Luke took Jeremy's hand and brought it up to his lips and kissed it. "Doctor, is there something you didn't tell us about Luke?" "Something he didn't tell me about himself..." the Doctor said. Suddenly, two screams divided the air currents. Screeching of the most horrible kind. Which stopped abruptly. Jeremy's eyes grew wide, "Jesse!!!" He still had the device in his hands, the only one they had left and he ran. "Jeremy!" The Doctor took off after him. Luke followed them. Jesse was running toward the sound of the two miners' screams. He saw a row of trees beyond. He bent down to look at a large puddle, reflected in the low light of a clouded sun. For it was still somewhat overcast, even if a bit of sunshine occasionally peeked through the clouds. "Blood. Large puddles of blood. Doc..." Before he could call out the Doctor's name or rather his title, Jesse felt instinctively that he shouldn't. This time he should keep completely quiet. He raised his head up and stood up. An inch from his face was the nose and teeth of a huge monster. A Tyrannosaurus Rex. Titanic, gigantic. Dripping meat and blood between its teeth. Miner meat, miner blood. Jesse swallowed. His eyes somehow focused on two far apart eyes that eyeballed him. "Jesse, don't move, not even an inch and don't make a sound!" That was the Doctor's voice. Not even he could save Jesse, Jesse knew it. If he reached out, his hand would hit the monster's rough scaly skin. Jesse murmured, "Well, I finally got to meet a dinosaur..." The monster's teeth parted as it made to swallow Jesse up whole!!!!! tbc
