Subject: Doctor Who, Jesse, and Jeremy 42

"This belongs to you and always will." A kiss to the lips of Peter Pan.
Sensous kiss.
"I slipped her the tongue there."
"You did not." The Doctor scolded Jeremy.
"I did."
Nose blowing. Crying. Jesse. "They're no good...these tissues..." he cried
through huffed breaths, uncontrollable gasping. The Doctor, sitting between
them, removed a green hankerchef from his top button down shirt pocket and
casually handed it over to Jesse.
Jesse cried, "Th-Th-Tha, thank you." He cried again, letting out a big
bellow of air from his belly.
Jeremy laughed, "You should have seen the crying and tears stuff PJ cut out
of the movie."
Jesse blew his nose again. The Doctor rolled his eyes.
The end of the movie. "Peter Pan knew untold pleasures and joys that other
children could not even dream of...but he was beholding the one joy from which
he must be forever barred..."
"Oh dear God..." Jesse sneezed as he bellowed loud cries.
Infront of them, the chubby woman with a large row of partying 7 year
olds, turned to look at them. The Doctor smiled and waved. Jesse had tears coming
down his cheeks and tried to keep his head low so no one would see.
"Oh you're hopeless," Jeremy said, "Change seats with me so I can console
him."
"Oh very blood well." The Doctor obeyed.
"It'll be okay," Jeremy put an arm around Jesse.
"But look..." Jesse cried.
On the screen, Wendy asked, "Will you come back?"
"To hear stories..." Peter as played by Jermey, said. He then puffed out
his chest and jerked his shoulders, "About me." He smiled. Wendy smiled.
Peter flew off. "But I was not to see Peter Pan again..."
"Why'd they, they, they..." Jesse bellowed.
The Doctor whispered, "Oh, for Pete's sake..."
"Exactly. Why'd they change that part from the book where he does come back
again?" Jesse cried.
"We had another ending. We can see it on the DVD in the TARDIS..."
The woman looked at them again, having turned around.
"es' movie theatre..."
"We should have watched it there in the first place," the Doctor said, "
Spare us the embarrassment..."
Jeremy had a new thought about the Doctor. He took his attentions away from
soothing the tearful, emotional wreck Jesse had become from this movie and
turned his head, cocked, unsure he should even approach this question. "
Doctor..." Jeremy asked as the movie's last scene ended and the end music by
James Newton Howard played loudly. "When was the last time....I mean...Do you ever
cry?"
"Why..." the Doctor thought about this. Movie goers around them began to
leave the far back seat in the stadium movie theatre. The Doctor had chosen the
far back to avoid people that might sit behind them and annoy them. As it
was, a little kid in front was narrating the movie for them and Jeremy had to
lean over, play Peter Pan and ask his newfound "lost boy" to please be quiet.
The tiny boy obeyed, wide eyed and Jeremy autographed the boy's Peter Pan
napkin that the movie theatre had given away.
The Doctor thought about this. They always stayed to watch the end credits,
for movies such PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN and STEALTH had scenes at the end.
True, most were of the quickie variety such as JEEPERS CREEPERS where all you
see is the truck passing by fast. But other movies had important scenes such
as X MEN 3 where they saw Xavier coming back to life. Wouldn't want to miss
that. "Nice themes."
"Doctor," Jeremy warned, "You're avoiding the question."
"Oh, yes, what was it again? Do I ever cry? I can't really remember the
last time I did, actually."
"Yeah, your memory, right?"
"Yes, exactly."
"Yeah, cause you live so long."
Honk, honk, blow, blow. Jesse blowing. This time, his nose.
"I mean is it an alien thing. Don't they cry where you come from?"
"Why no, Scott Hayden, they don't."
"Starman. I know that reference. But do they?"
"Some do." The Doctor said. "I have in the past...I'm sure I have, anyway.
Just can't recall. It might have been all I've been through, I really don't
know."
"I just wonder when the last time it was that you cried, that's all."
"It's alright, you can cry," Jesse said, "We won't think less of you, if
you do." He cried.
"No, I'm fine," the Doctor said coldly.
Jeremy frowned.
The Doctor added, "You were great though, Jeremy, really great." He looked
at Jeremy with love in his eyes and Jeremy could forgive his not crying. The
music was almost ended and Jesse stood up to go. He wavered. Jeremy stood up
and steadied him. The Doctor helped, getting wary eyes from Jeremy that he
should. "Yes, yes, we can all do with a great cry. But really, steady on,
Jeremy, you made a lovely Peter Pan."
"The British accent or lack of one didn't bother you?"
"What? Whatever would that bother me for? Damned fucking fools that say that
is what they disliked about this movie! There's so much to enjoy! Besides,
the real Peter Pan is American accented. I should know, I've met him!"
"Really?" Jeremy asked, "That's right, you told me before..."
"The fairies that taught him and lived with him spoke with American accents.
"
Jesse perked up, sobbing less and less. "What's he...what's he like then?"
"Like... the Pan? Well, ahhh, more than a bit like Jeremy actually...more
mischieveious, a bit like you, Jesse, in that respect..."
"It could be all I've gone through. My planet gone, all my people, mostly
gone. Dead. My family gone, possibly Romana gone. I had a lot of friends and
family die." He stopped, lost in thought. The boys stared at him for what
seemed an eternity. Then the Doctor perked up, "Come on, let's go get
something to eat. The, ahh, TARDIS should be revived by now and then..."
"Shouldn't we just eat there? I mean all those distress calls we got..."
Jeremy worried.
"My dear Jeremy, no sense going into full action mode on an empty stomach..."
the Doctor said. He put his blue leather jacket on and took his Santa hat
and plopped it on Jeremy's head, "Let's go, Peter Pan, time to eat...so you
can get big and strong and grow up..."
Jeremy laughed. Jesse renewed his crying. "Grow up? That's so sad..." Jesse
bellowed. Jeremy put an arm around him and guided him out. Jesse wore a long
sleeve red shirt, which had a green mistletoe attached to the heart area,
under it he wore a white shirt that had candy cane red stripes on it. The
collar came up to his neck from under the red shirt. And green pants. Jeremy had
on his necklace of small skulls and large crosses that he was given while in
New Zealand. He also wore a dark brown low collar, loose fitting top with
sleeves and brown slacks and black shoes. He put his very Doctor-like jacket back
on. Jesse put on his white leather jacket.
"December 2003." Jeremy said, "I remember it well."
"So do I." the Doctor said.
"You've been to this time before?"
"Me? I've been almost everywhere before...almost." The Doctor winked. "I
saw this movie first time it came out..."
The music ended. Peter Pan laughed.
Soon, they were off again in the TARDIS, flying through the vortex, past
time holes and rifts. "So where to first?" Jermey asked.
"It seems someone has called us to..." the Doctor peeked at the console
time register. "The wall of Jericho. Circa...1400 BC."
"Cor, that's far," Jesse was in awe. "Who'd be there?"
"Oh, another traveler maybe?" The Doctor said, "A time traveler stuck
there possibly."
"I'll go change into something more appropriate for that time." Jeremy
said and then stopped as they both looked at him. "What?"
"You're not going out. I am."
"What do you mean?"
"That time is too dangerous. We can't have what happened to that nice Tony
and Doug."
"Doctor?" Jeremy asked.
Jesse leaned on the console, "What happened to them? And just as a matter of
fact, who are they?"
"Tony Newman and Doug Phillips. Used to be time lost, lost in time through a
time tunnel project deep in the Arizona-Nevada desert in oh, what was that
year...1966? No, 1968. My fourth self got them home though. But they were once
at Jericho...there were many invasions at that place. They were there at the big
one."
"All the same, I think you're going to need someone who can fight." Jeremy
left the room.
"I can fight!" The Doctor called after him.
"Doctor," Jesse started to correct him but thought better of it. "So what
happened to them?"
"Accused of being spies for Joshua."
"And were they?"
"Yeah, they kinda were," the Doctor said, "And if anyone looks more like
an angel than Jeremy...he might get mistaken for an angel or the spies..."
"I think you need to brush up on your Bible history." Jesse frowned and
looked down at the console.
The reddishness of the vortex vanished and the TARDIS flew through a hole.
It landed with a thud. The landing threw Jesse to one side and the Doctor to
the other. They hit the respective walls. Jeremy came out in a kind of creamy
smock that fit the time zone of 1400 BC.
"Alright?" The Doctor asked Jesse.
"Why? What happened?" Jeremy asked.
Jesse rubbed his shoulder. "Fine." He looked at Jeremy, "Didn't you feel
it?"
"Rough landing?"
"Yeah."
"No." Jeremy shrugged. "I won't be long."
"Hold on there, young fella," the Doctor said, "You can't go out alone..."

Jeremy pulled the knob on the door control, "Oh blow it out your ear." He
went outside. It was night time.
The Doctor followed. "Hmmm, this does not appear to be the place we intended
to be."
"Like that's never happened to us before," Jesse came out behind them
and shut the doors.
"It positively glowing out," Jeremy looked up at the full moon. It glew
brightly. "Man, it's nice here."
"I'd better check the TARDIS and find out exactly when and where were are."

"I'll come with you," Jesse said, "To make sure you don't take too long."

"What?"
"Well, sometimes you forget we're outside when you're inside. Or vica versa.
"
Jesse shrugged and followed the Doctor inside.
Jeremy smirked and took off, mishievious looks in his eyes. He looked back.
The TARDIS was in a huge green grove of well kept hedges just below a range
of huge mountains. Jeremy took off down a path where there were huge stones,
purple and pink flowers, and a path. He moved up a hill and said, "This is
beautiful!"
Jesse looked over the console to the Doctor's body below. He had opened a
bottom panel and was looking inside. "Well, what's wrong? Can you...did you fix
it?"
"There doesn't seem to be anything wrong." The Doctor shut the panel and
stood up. He looked at the console, "We're still in 1400 BC it says..."
"Cept it looks more like the Garden of Eden..."
"Been there, seen that, much prettier." The Doctor blinked, "I..I don't
believe it. It just changed. It says the year 1000 BC."
"Really?" Jesse asked, "Is that good?"
"I don't know. Let me just take a long look at some info on that year and
Jericho..."
In the ethereal light of the full moon, blue and green in the garden, Jeremy
moved up the hill to a further grove. He saw some men bowing. He stopped,
cautiously, at a hedge and then ran to a tree to watch. They had their backs to
him. They wore robes.
"Oh, uh, Jesse," the Doctor said warily, "Where's Jeremy?"
"Still outside," Jesse answered.
"Go and get him inside, now!" The Doctor snapped.
Jesse knew that tone and immediately ran outside. "Jeremy?" Not finding
his lover, he moved inside again. "He's..."
The Doctor stared at the console screen, "Well?"
"He must have gone for a quick walk?"
"Oh, that's bad..."
"Why?"
"Well, in 1000 BC, a man named Hiel rebuilt Jericho on the ruins of the old
Jericho..."
"But even though it says 1000 BC we're not there ...I mean that's not
Jericho out there."
"Maybe, maybe not. But the last time the TARDIS acted like this was when we
were in some parallel universe and it could be where we are now."
"Is that bad?"
"Not in and of itself but this man, a man from Bethel, named Hiel rebuilt
Jericho on the ruins of the old one. In order to get past Joshua's curse...he
had to sacrifice his two sons, Abiram and Segub, Segub being the youngest. He
killed them."
Jesse frowned, "Yeah, I do know what sacrificed means. Bad for them. But what
's that got to do with us, a parallel universe we might be in, and Jeremy's
being gone?"
"It...well, come over here and take a look at this. If Hiel didn't want to
sacrifice one of his sons, he's use someone else and I've got a pretty good
idea who he's going to be planning to use...."
Jesse stared at the console screen, "Jeremy...in a robe of some kind..."
"No, that's Abiram, the older son..."
He looked exactly like Jeremy.
Jeremy began to walk toward the robed men...
To be continued...
