Bobby rolled onto his side and rested his head on Kevin's chest. Both of
them were breathing heavily, but not as severely as a few minutes
before. He felt sweat run down his sideburn, but he ignored it as it
disappeared behind his jawline. He traced his finger down the groove
between Kevin's pecs and through the defined line formed by his abs.

"Nice," Kevin whispered, half-asleep but with a smile on his face. Bobby
felt his already strained heart leap when he saw that smile form.

"You're so awesome," Bobby said. It felt like an uncontrolled statement, as
if his subconscious had decided to declare it and bypass all forms of
sifting and censorship. Kevin laughed softly and breathed in deeply, and
ran his hand down Bobby's cheek. His touch had energy in it - felt surreal
and charged. He couldn't help but close his eyes and enjoy the caress he'd
been so long without.

It had been twelve hours since Kevin had awoken from his strange
sleep. They had been lying in the teacher's lounge, just as they had been
doing for the past few days. He'd been reading a book, and Kevin had been
in his deep slumber and lying next to him. He remembered turning the page,
and watching with irritation as the page turned back. He'd done it three
times without considering a conspiracy before throwing the book across the
room, only to see Kevin lying on his elbow looking at him dreamily with a
boyish smile on his face. It had been such a shock that he'd remained
stunned for a few moments before throwing himself at him, almost crushing
him in a hug and kissing him all over. He'd never remembered such a feeling
of relief, and the joy of reuniting with an energetic, fun-filled Kevin
made him want to shout with elation. Of course, the reunion in the lounge
was relatively short. He remembered Kevin's confused look as Bobby's
wolfish eyes settled on him, and how he'd near-sprinted to his room
dragging a protesting Kevin behind him. Kevin was protesting that he hadn't
eaten in days and needed something to sustain himself, which Bobby thought
was a ridiculous excuse, but in the end he'd allowed a quick detour to the
kitchen so that Kevin could quickly slap something together and down it. Of
course, the rest was history. After that, nothing would have stopped him,
and he'd burst into the room with Kevin behind him, locked the door, and
literally tore his clothes off. He'd been so horny he thought he was about
to grow fangs, and several hours later, he hadn't sensed his hormones
abating yet. He couldn't enough of Kevin. He wanted more and more, and
still he wanted more.

"It was so good," Kevin said out of his half-sleep, and Bobby's train of
thought was disturbed.

"I could tell you liked it," Bobby said with a smile. "Shit, I hope we
didn't make too much noise."

Kevin opened his eyes and lifted his head. "Psh. As soon as you locked that
door I sealed off your room. No one can hear anything, Xavier can't look
here, Colossus, Kitty... none of them could ever get into this room unless
I wanted them to. It's just you and me, Bobby," he said with a smile.

Bobby sometimes forgot the unseen dimensions which were part of Kevin's
vision, and the way he controlled them.

Kevin's head fell back again. "Damn, I missed you, Bobby. My life is so
fucking meaningless without you. There are no words to really describe it
to you." Bobby smiled a little. He actually sounded angry at the fact that
he couldn't express it.

Bobby hugged him, hooked his leg around Kevin's waist and kissed his
chest. "You don't need to tell me, because I feel the same. I understand,
trust me." Kevin nodded.

Bobby felt it was time to change the mood again, and he straddled Kevin who
feigned being winded by Bobby's weight, but gave it away with a curve of
the corner of his mouth. Bobby leaned forward against Kevin's chest and
looked into his eyes carnally. "Again. Let's do it again," he said
lustfully.

Kevin's eyes widened in shock, and his mouth dropped open. "You've got to
be shitting me!" he said, and put his hand over his forehead in mock
distress.

Bobby laughed like a little kid, but he was totally serious. He wanted it
again. Hard. "What?" he said mischievously.

"What? What!" Kevin said with exasperation. "We've been in here for
what... ten hours? And because of you I've come like five times."

"Five is right," Bobby said factually.

Kevin's mouth gaped at the lack of sympathy in Bobby's tone, which made him
smile wider. He loved Kevin and his self-pity spirals. Of course, if Kevin
hadn't been in such a fever during their last episode, he would have
noticed that he'd made him come twice. Kevin managed to hit all the right
spots, and his rage to be closer to Bobby and show him his lust drove Bobby
past the edge most times. He felt like telling Kevin he'd had more orgasms
than him and that he should stop whining, but he thought better. Kevin was
a strange guy - he's probably become all smug and pretend to be the
greatest lover of all time. He was, but he wasn't about to tell him
that. Not yet, anyway.

"Never mind that I've woken up from a coma, and I've eaten a pathetic
sandwich for the first time in days..." he went on monotonously. Bobby
rolled his eyes, and kissed him hard on the mouth, and silenced his
protests. Bobby felt that Kevin was as turned on as he was. Fucking actor!

Kevin's breathing accelerated, and Bobby smiled to himself, and broke the
kiss. He merely needed to be the catalyst to the situation. Kevin's eyes
focussed on him wildly and he almost bared his teeth as if Bobby was prey
that he'd finally found. Kevin suddenly threw him off him, and moments
later Kevin was hovering above him menacingly. It was such a turn on, he
thought he was going to lose it right there. At this point Kevin couldn't
be reasoned with, or curbed in any way. It was awesome. Kevin raised his
right hand and like all the times before this, the air shimmered for less
than an instant before a condom was suddenly present where before there was
nothing. The first time Kevin had tried had taken some doing, but Bobby
noticed that if he first put Kevin into the mood first, it required almost
no effort. Bobby thought that if Kevin's subconscious and consciousness
agreed on something, which didn't happen often, he was at his
strongest. And when a guy was horny, what normal male mind would resist?

Kevin quickly put the condom on and lay on top of Bobby and started kissing
him. Both of them were groaning with anticipation, and from the sheer
pleasure of the contact between them. Bobby wrapped his legs around Kevin
as tightly as he could, which caused him to exhale with discomfort, but
Bobby could tell he liked it. He felt Kevin position himself, and a moment
later he felt Kevin slide his cock into him. He groaned with pressure. It
felt so damn good. They kissed deeply, their tongue trying to devour one
another but at the same time sparring amiably and gently. Kevin started
thrusting, and Bobby thought that he wouldn't be able to take too much of
this before he lost it. That feeling as his cock slid in and out of his ass
was so fantastic he didn't think anything could rival it. If he wasn't so
close, he would love to go on like this for hours. Kevin was lying on top
of him, and thrusting regularly with his head resting in the nape of
Bobby's neck, his hot breath and groans resonating against Bobby's skin.
Bobby held the back of Kevin's head, and gripped his back with his other
hand. He could feel Kevin's strong back muscles flexing under his grip, he
could see the multitude of muscle fibres contracting in Kevin's toned arms
with every small movement, all doing their part to push his cock deeper and
deeper into his ass. Kevin's abs rubbed against Bobby's straining hard
cock, and with every thrust he was afraid the next one would be the last
one he could handle before exploding.

"I'm close," Kevin whispered into his ear, and he was completely out of
breath.

Bobby leaned less than an inch forward and nibbled the corner of his ear
without saying a word. Kevin went over the edge, as he knew he would. His
breathing became rugged as the imminent eruption gathered in force.

"Oh... shit!" Kevin cried out, and one last deep thrust moved Bobby's whole
body. Kevin cried out and groaned and groaned as he started shooting into
Bobby. The sound of Kevin's cries and the thought of him shooting deep into
him pushed him over the edge, and Bobby groaned as he started shooting all
over his and Kevin's chests. His hips started bucking and his ass clamped
rabidly around the cock which was still unloading inside of him.

Kevin was the first to recover from his orgasm, but he was still thrusting
with diminishing regularity, just to make sure he'd fully emptied himself
again. Bobby's heart was racing, and the sheets around them were wet with
sweat. They were tangled up, and Kevin's full weight rested on him for the
first time making breathing a mild inconvenience, especially considering
they were both panting.

"Fuck, Bobby, I thought was dying in that one. Seriously. My body couldn't
take it."

"You like?" Bobby said playfully, and he felt his breathing start to
stabilise again. He loved the regularity this exercise was assuming.

"I like," Kevin said with a smile. "Shit," Kevin repeated. He really was
spent. It was amazing to see a guy physically finished off by a
mind-blowing orgasm. Bobby could feel Kevin's heart beating against his
chest wall with rage, but his cock was still hard and twitching defiantly
inside of him.

Kevin took one deep breath and kissed Bobby quickly on the lips and then
rolled off of him. He really was a great lover - naturally gifted, and so
fucking passionate. Kevin took off the condom and threw it to the side to
join its friends on the floor.

"Exhausted my ass," Bobby said disdainfully as he noted the far above
normal load filling the condom.

"I had reserves," Kevin said innocently before falling back to lie next to
Bobby with their heads together on the same pillow, the hands slowly
stroking one another's chests and abs.

"We'll see about that," Bobby said. "Kevin, look at the room. What do you
notice?"

Kevin studied the room quickly and fell back again. The sheets were
starting to become tangled and difficult to navigate in, so he threw them
off irritably. "Nothing. Why, is there something I should see?"

Bobby turned onto his side and looked into Kevin's
eyes. "Nothing. Exactly. You didn't tear the room up this time. You're
gaining control of your gifts."

Some realisation spread over Kevin's face and his cheeks flushed with
embarrassment. "I guess," he said, and Bobby once again felt turned on by
his humble side. His normal side. He leaned forward and kissed him. He
could die happily at that moment and he'd have no regrets.

"You should be more confident. You're so fucking amazing, Kevin. I don't
know anyone like you," Bobby said after a moment.

"Yeah you're right," Kevin said with downcast eyes. He lifted his eyes and
smiled devilishly. "I am amazing. So damn amazing. Amazing, I am..."

"You're such a dork," Bobby said rolling his eyes, and punching Kevin's
chest playfully, and both of them laughed for a few minutes like teenagers.

After a short silence filled with the sound of their relaxed breathing,
Bobby lifted his head again. "How about we go laze about in a boat on the
lake later today? It'll be quiet, and we can talk."

"If I can be with you, I'm up for it," Kevin said honestly.

"Good," Bobby said, and he strengthened his embrace around Kevin. Sometimes
he thought he couldn't get close enough to the guy. He wanted to lie like
this for days, until only starvation threatened to separate them, and even
then, what a good death it would be.

Bobby sat up and squatted in front of Kevin. Kevin leered at him and
enjoyed the view of his naked body openly. Bobby gripped Kevin's soft dick
and started stroking it, causing it to respond within seconds.

"What?" Kevin said with a frown.

"You know," Bobby replied with a naughty smile.

Kevin's eyes widened slowly, and again he was stupefied. "Fucking hell, you
can't be serious!" he pleaded. Bobby didn't reply, but he leaned forward
with a smile. Poor Kevin, he was about to discover that it wasn't in his
nature to joke about this.

*********************************************************************

Senator Richard de Mille walked along the long passages of his
mansion. He'd just finished discussing a tactical situation with the
President, and he found him to be a most amiable and malleable man. It made
him wish he'd instituted his plan years ago, but then, he wouldn't have had
the detonator needed at that stage. He heard his bodyguards follow him
closely, as they did at all times, even within his own home. Several
mutants had tried to take his life over the years, but none had yet
succeeded. The guards attributed it to their own prowess, but they were
merely for show - and not even they knew that. Only the mutants in their
dying moments realised the perversion of the situation. Near to the end of
the passage he reached his private elevator to the lower levels of his
estate.

"Leave me," he said coldly, and they obeyed him immediately.

He entered the silver elevator and inserted his access card and typed in
the ten-letter access key. The elevator descended rapidly and stopped after
a short time. Exiting he found himself in a large steel-encased room,
impenetrable to any force in his opinion. He looked to his right, and saw
the Bane enter his vision. It was huge and towered over him. Every step
caused the ground beneath it to creak and it had an air of malice in its
movement. It looked at him silently.

"It's me. I'm alone," he said to it.

The robot stared at him for a short moment and then a second later appeared
to shimmer into nothing, until only a tall and darkly handsome teenager
remained in its place. Women would have flocked to the sight of such a
handsome youth, but the boy wasn't here for his looks, but for his
abilities.

"David," he said simply. "You really are excellent with your skills." He
found it difficult to compliment others.

The boy sneered at him contemptuously. He was so young, but already he was
a monster in his heart. "I know what I am de Mille. It's a pity you don't."

The Senator laughed derisively and moved around to place his gloves on the
table in the corner of the room. "Your accommodation is acceptable?"

"It is. Your lackeys obey me out of fear and fetch me what I want, but I
don't like living underground. What a big fucking surprise." He took out a
cigarette and started smoking. So young. So twisted.

"Tell me about your illusion," he said. It wasn't a request. The boy knew
who he worked for.

A defiant delay accompanied the request, and the boy took another drag of
his cigarette before exhaling at his leisure. "It's not an illusion," he
said, and he saw the way the boy was insulted by the word. "The Bane is
reality to all who see it. If I hit another mutant with that Illusion,
their mind will feel the injury as if it was real. And that's only the
physical realm. Fear cloaks the monster and forces submission. If needed, I
can smash the minds of those who continue to resist. Mutant attacks will
fail too - the mutant's own mind starts to believe that hostility is
futile. A lightning bolt aimed for me will miss, and it won't even be my
doing." The boy smiled. A ravishing smile, but only a madman would flirt
with him.

"Excellent," he replied. "Once all the level fours are neutralised there
won't be any force in the country strong enough to stop my ascent to
power." It was true. A level three mutant didn't have what it takes to
stand against him, and ones and twos were beyond useless and would
eventually be exterminated.

"I am your path to power," David said arrogantly. Sometimes he hated the
kid.

"And I am your salvation," he replied as callously. "Or have you
forgotten?" David's eyes fell.

"I forgot nothing," he said angrily. "Just remember my terms. I'm only
helping you in return for your aid to help me capture Kevin."

"And I shall keep to my side of the deal, if you produce the goods. This
Kevin. You claim he is a maximum level mutant?"

"He's a level five. Believe it or don't believe it, I don't give a shit. He
was responsible for Cairo and New York."

A level five. The thought sounded too good to be true, and too
terrifying. The Bane might be able to neutralise a level of such
magnificent strength, but it was a close call. He couldn't be sure. He'd
never encountered a level five mutant. "Are there any others you've
detected?"

The boy shook his head slightly. "I've searched the whole world thanks to
your help. There are none. I'm sure. He's the only one. Remember, I want
him for myself."

He looked to the ceiling as if trying to summon his patience. He'd heard
this tirade at least ten times. "I know! Interesting that you would choose
the most dangerous mutant in the world to be your teenage lover. Trying to
piss on destiny?"

The boy remained silent, and lit another cigarette. "He and I are meant to
be together. I love him," he said finally. He felt the desire to laugh
cruelly, but the boy was not to be trifled with. He had a malicious side to
him, and a short temper.

"Do you really think he'll go on as usual after you kill his boyfriend? I
said all fours are to die, and I mean it. It's bad enough that I have to
leave a five running around."

The boy looked at him and smirked. "Not even Kevin will be able to discern
the difference between true reality and the reality Dementia makes for
him. I'll make it seem like Iceman dies in an accident. He'll never know."
The boy appeared to be taken up in a trance. "After that, I'll make a new
reality for him and I. One where only he and I exist and where we can both
be happy. Forever."

"Just handle your side, and it will happen. Fail..." the threat hung in the
air.

He started walking towards the elevator. The meeting was over. "Tell me, de
Mille - what made you turn on your own kind?"

He stopped in his tracks, but didn't turn around. It was an inevitable
question. "I wanted power, and when I accepted that I wasn't the strongest,
I had to find a way to dispatch of those who were."

"Fair enough," the boy said slyly. "So you're going to dispatch of me when
you've finished your little genocide?"

He spun around to the boy. "You are not stronger than me!" he said
furiously. This little upstart shit! "My powers amplify your powers a
thousand times. Don't you forget that, whelp!"

The boy smiled at him, clearly amused that he'd caused such an
outburst. "And without me, you're like a battery. Nothing more. Don't
forget that."

He approached the boy slowly. "I can't do more than provide energy to other
mutants. I can take it away. In moments I could sap you of the energy to
breathe. Or worse."

The threat seemed to have little effect on the boy, who walked right up to
him. "Yeah, I figured that part out, but in that short moment while you do
your magic, I'll crush your weak little mind and leave you eating out of
tube for the rest of your vegetable life."

He stared at the boy. The kid had balls. "Just so. We need one another. We
can help one another."

Without another word he walked to the elevator and ascended to the main
house. The boy was a problem and would have to be handled at some stage,
but with speed and lethality. He'd be the final step to overcome in his
quest for the Presidency and the extermination of mutant kind, which had
always looked down on his powers.

********************************************************************

Kevin watched the crystal clear water pass by the boat as it drifted
through the lake. This was close to the best day of his life, apart from
the day when he got together with Bobby. He looked to his left and smiled
at Bobby, who was staring at his face as if hypnotized. Bobby shook his
head slightly and smiled back, and put his arm overboard and dragged his
fingers through the water.

"Recovered yet?" Bobby asked, and it was obvious he was veiling his
laughter.

"No," he muttered in reply. "I'm going to need some of your ice down there
to put out the fires." Bobby laughed. He felt a headache approach just
thinking about sex. Bobby had gone on and on until he thought he couldn't
take it anymore. Of course, Bobby had then started again despite his
pleas. Sometimes he thought he was going to weep when Bobby got that look
in his eyes, but he realised it was a big act. He had never before felt
such pleasure. He doubted sex could get better than that, but he intended
to spend the rest of his life with Bobby finding out if he could surpass
it. He hated the thought of more sex, but at the same time he felt his
pants stir and he knew he wanted it. Tonight ... again. He pushed it out of
his mind before he became obvious, and before Bobby could make fun of
him. Bobby would walk around in the room with a hard-on and not give a shit
who saw or what they thought, but he was different.

He lay back in the boat, and watched Bobby who lay on the opposite side
looking at him, with their legs entwined. Sometimes they spent whole
periods of time just looking at one another. Bobby stroked his foot fondly.

"I like being around you," Bobby said softly, and the understatement made
it seem more genuine.

"I love everything about you," he replied.

"How do you keep the boat moving on a set path, Kev?" he asked.

"Hmm... I use gravity to swing it around in a small orbit. It's
complicated."

"Too complicated for stupid Bobby?" he asked wryly.

"Too complicated for stupid Kevin," he replied, and Bobby thought it was a
great joke. Truthfully, he didn't know what he did. He found molecules
which generated gravity, and he doubted very much that they had been
discovered by scientists yet, or named. He used his powers to his
advantage, and didn't care how they worked.

"Say Kevin," Bobby said, and started to shift uneasily. "Uh... who is that
other guy we brought back."

Kevin knew Bobby would wonder about that eventually. "His name is Justin,"
he replied. He felt no need to lie, and it was wonderful having a clean
conscience. "He's not a mutant."

Bobby looked down. "Are you... Do you like him?"

"No," he replied truthfully. "After we... fought... I woke up after I
passed out in an alley. I went to a gay bar looking for company. Just
someone to talk to. He started hitting on me, but I told him I just needed
company and that I was involved." Bobby seemed indifferent to the story,
but Kevin could tell he was following very closely. "There's nothing more
to tell."

Bobby smiled at him coyly and rubbed his leg. He had the most beautiful
eyes. "Yeah, I know you'd never cheat on me. I just worry about other guys
who invade my turf."

"Trust me, you're the only one I want on my turf," he replied. "It's just
you and me now Bobby. I won't ever feel differently." They smiled at one
another, and knew the truth of the statement.

"What happened to you out there?" Bobby asked, and it was the first time
he'd approached the subject.

"Justin appeared to be a mutant sympathiser - in the wrong crowd. These
guys in the bar spiked our drinks, and took us outside to harm us. The
stuff in the drink made me lose control over my powers, and they protected
me ... and Justin."

Bobby didn't reply. He sat looking at the water in deep thought. His
silence was worse than any potential rebuke he might have offered. He
decided not to break the silence, but his heart was heaving anxiously.

"Bobby," he said at odds with his decision, and he saw Bobby look at him
seriously. "How many people do you think I've killed over the weeks you've
known me?" Bobby's eyes softened and pain entered his expression, but he
continued before he could speak. "Last night I had nightmares about the
people in those buildings I killed - even the thugs who I murdered. Do you
despise that side of me? Are you disgusted by the thought?"

He wanted to remain strong while saying this, but he thought about it
continuously and looked away before Bobby could see the moisture glistening
in his eyes. Bobby's mouth dropped open and in an instant he was on his
side of the boat and holding his head in his hands. "Look at me," he
said. "Look at me, Kevin," when he wasn't obeyed. Looking into his eyes was
a torment, but he tried. "I don't want you to ever say that again, okay?
Never again. I love you. I really love you. I know that your powers are
really fucking terrible to control, but I also know that you're a decent
and kind man who won't hurt anyone unless he can't help it. I love you, and
I'm never disgusted by you. Yes, we fight - but all couples do. I need you
to understand that you're the one for me. Okay?"

Kevin nodded and blinked away his tears and forced a smile. Bobby pulled
him forwards into a hug and held him tightly. He felt him kiss his head and
rest his nose in his hair, breathing in his smell. It was so nice to rest
against Bobby. He was strong, and firm and powerful. He felt safe in
Bobby's arms. A few minutes later they continued floating around the lake,
and continued to do so until sunset. Bobby knew about Senator de Mille's
proclamation, but he was keeping it to himself to try and shield him from
the disappointing news.Bobby couldn't know that his powers made him aware
of everything in the world. Everything. He loved Bobby so much, but the
multiple paths flying off into various potential futures scared the shit
out of him, and he decided to shield Bobby from that, until he absolutely
had to.
