for the purpose of this story.

but fear not, the next chapter is already being planned out, so stay tuned

Chapter 2: Welcome Ditto



When i awoke once again i was a nice room, it was beautiful to be quite
honest, the walls were covered with a dark wood and the floors were also
wooded, but a lighter shade. The room felt very warm and cosy. (where the
hell am i), as if on cue, the room door opened and the red haired woman
from in the medical room entered and smiled at me,

"How are you feeling Scott"

"Fine thanks...."

"Jean"

"Jean, right...sorry"

"Don't worry honey"

i just stared at her. If i was straight, i would definatley be hitting on
her, she had long silky flowing red hair, a perfect figure, and the most
beautiful green eyes i have ever seen, (she is a babe)

<what was that>

<you were speaking loudly in your head>

<oh...>

Just then, the man in the wheelchair entered with another beautiful
woman. (okay are all the women in this place beautiful) this woman was
young looking, but she had long shock white hair, beautiful mocca colour
skin and deep hazel eyes. she was familiar somehow, i thought i had
recognised her from somewhere, i just couldnt figure out where.

"Hello scott, how are you feeling." asked the professor

"Fine thanks professor, how are you"

"Im good, thank you for asking"

"Now scott, this is Ororo Munro, also known as Storm. she saved you earlier
in the university from mystique"

I though i recognised her from somewhere, she saved my life.

"thank you by the way"

"your very welcome honey"

omg, her voice was very soothing,

<if i didnt know any better, i would say that you are in love with storm>
said jean

<no, i just... shes beautiful>

<ahahah, calm down>

<i will>

the professor began to speak again,

"So scott, i have an offer for you. i was wondering if you would like to
enroll here at the school. All will be paid for,you will continue with your
studies here and you will learn to control your powers."

"Um.... i dont know professor. can i think about it please"

"of course. now, storm, would you like to give scott the grand tour please
to help him make up his mind"

"sure charles"

"I'll see you later Scott"

and with that, both jean and the professor left, leaving me with storm.

"so, lets go" she said

she took me outside to the grounds first, they were huge, beautiful and
very peaceful. there were many students on the grounds already. some were
reading and sun bathing, others were practising there powers,

"Storm, who are they over there" i asked pointing to a group of about 6
people.

"Oh, thats Bobby Drake, Jubilation Lee, Anna Marie, Danielle Moonstar,
Megan Gywnn, and John Allerdyce"

(man,Bobby and John are hunks)

"lets continue" said storm and she walked away

we went back inside and continued walking throughout the school, going in
and out of the various rooms. all the while we were talking and telling
each other things, for some reason, i couldnt help but be open with her,
she was soothing, calming and almost motherly....something i never had.

when the tour ended and we were back at the room i woke up in she asked me
if i wanted to stay and learn. To her question, there was no doubt in my
mind about what my answer would be and i happily gave her a big "YES!" to
which she laughed.

"can i walk around for a while"

"sure you can, its your house too now. Dinner will be served at 6.30, if
you need any help finding the way there, just shout Jean's name loudly in
your head okay"

"okay"

and then she was gone. i knew immediatley where i was going to be walking
to, the group outside, they seemed friendly enough. so i set off to them
outside.

when i went back outside, they were still in the same place, so i walked
over to them.

"Hi, my name is Scott" i said nervously

"Hi there, im Jubilee" said an asian/american girl

"Hi... um i was wondering. im new here, so can i like hang out with you
guys"

they were all looking at me, like they were sizing me up,

"sure" said a native american girl. she had hair as black as the night and
deep eyes that drew me in.

"im Danielle Moonstar, or Mirage as i liked to be called"

"why Mirage"

"Cause thats my power, i can make see people see things and i can read
their minds"

"cool" i said in awe of her

"im Bobby Drake" said the blonde one. looking at him, he was stunning. his
eyes are the colour of the ocean, a marvelous blue colour, his body was
that of a swimmer, and his hair was a mix of blonde and light brown, (what
a hunk)

<careful... you wanna watch you think> said danielle

<sorry.... but can you blame me>

we both burst out laughing, with the rest of the group just looking at us,

"hey, dont talk through telepathy" said jubilee

"sorry"

"anyways, my code name is IceMan. iam Cryokinetic, meaning i have control
over cold temperatures, so i can release ice from my hands and completely
cover my body in ice"

"that is so cool" i said

"Im Megan Gywnn" said a girl in a welsh accent. she has bright pink hair
and a set of what looks like insect wings on her back, her eyes are also
pure black, she was quite frightning, but she was also quite alluring to
me.

"my code name is Pixie. My powers are kinda strange, i can create a kind of
dust, known as "Pixie Dust" which allows me to put hallucinations on
people, i can also fly, thanks to these babies on my back, i have a dagger
called the soul dagger, which disrupts magical contructs, and i have
limited magical powers"

"your powers are weird, but they are so cool"

"Well, i guess its my turn then" said the guy with a southern accent.

"My name is Marie or Rouge". like the rest of the girls, marie, was
beautiful. she had long brown hair that went down her back, with two white
streaks at the front, her facial features possessed that of a sadness which
could not be cured, i noticed she also wore black gloves.

"ma power is ma curse, i cant touch anyone or else i might kill them. when
i put my hand or finger on the bare skin of another, i absorb their
memories, thoughts, feelings and in the case of mutants, i take their
powers for a while"

when i heard her speak, i didnt say cool at the end, i realised that she
truly was cursed, i mean, not being able to touch someone without seriously
hurting them, (man thats sad) i thought.

Then the other hunk spoke,

"im John Allerdyce"

like bobby, he too was nice. he had blondish brown hair, with green eyes,
and there was something else about him, i couldnt quite out my finger on
it.

"Im Pyrokinetic, meaning i can psychically control fire. i can make it grow
in strength and feroctity or completely quell it. but i cant create the
fire, which is a draw back, i feel useless sometimes."

"Well, you always were"

"FUCK UP BOBBY" retorted john hurtfully

i was already beginning to dislike Bobby, i was feeling for john already
and i barely knew him.

next jubilee went,

"well you already know my name, my powers are pyrotechnic based, meaning i
create what i call Fireworks from my finger tips whcih i can use to stun
people, give them massive strokes or destroy objects. according to a
teacher called Emma Frost or The White Queen, i have the untapped potential
to detonate matter at a subatomic level, which is like a fushion bomb."

(thats so cool)

"So what are your powers" asked Danielle

"so far, i only know im Telekinetic."

"that all" asked Bobby

"yea"

every one in the group showed me a demonstration of their powers, except
Rogue, when suddenly,



<Scott if you will, could you come to the Danger Room please> asked the
professor

<Sure professor, but i dont know the way there>

<ask one of your friends>

<ok>

"um guys, could you show me the way to the Danger Room please, the
professor wants to see me"

"sure, come on babe, i take you" said jubilee excitedly

The whole group got up and came with me to the Danger Room. When we arrived
the professor was waiting for me with Jean and Strom and two others i didnt
recognise. One was an Angry looking man, who had a cigar in his mouth and
looked at me with a scowl. i have to admit, he was really attractive, his
aura screemed "Bad Boy" to me, and thats my fav type of guy. the other was
a frightning looking thing, a blue hairy ape like creature wearing a lab
coat and glasses. aside from the jokes i was going through in my head when
i was looking at him, he seemed rather friendly,

"Scott, this is Logan and Dr. Hank McCoy" said the professor

"Hello there son, how are you" said the blue ape

(Ok i soo wasnt expecting that. he is really intelligent)

"im Fine, thank you sir"

"Good, Good"

"Hi, Logan" i said

"Hey Bub" he replied

<Dont mind logan, he's always like that. he's always angry" spoke jean in
my mind

<thanks for that jean>

<ahahah>

"now Scott, i want to test your powers in the Danger Room, this will allow
us to make an accurate reading of your level and strength, do you feel like
your up to that" asked the professor

"sure, what do i do"

"just go in these doors and we'll begin."

i walked in through the doors into a massive room which looked very
futuristic, all metal and spacious.

"Ok Scott, now im goin to turn on the holographic machine, these are just
simulations to test your abilities, however you may still be hurt"

with that i heard like a buzzing sound and out of nowhere came a flying
laser, i managed to duck down. when i stood up and turned around i saw a
robot advancing towards me, it was huge and looked scary, i tried to use my
power on it but it wouldnt work, i was really terrified.

up in the control room,

"Professor do something, that thing is gonna hurt him" shouted john

"No, John, dont worry, he'll be fine" replied the professor calmly

back in the danger room, the robot was closing in on me, i was looking for
a way out but couldnt see any. i had to fight this thing, i tried again to
use my power and this time, it flinched a little. my power was working, i
tried again and again, each time, it only flinched a little

(man this was getting old)

then i felt this urge to put my hand into a fist and then open it and throw
my hand outwards, so i tried it. when i opened my hand there was a ball of
different coloured lights, crackling with power, i threw my hand out
towards the robot and the lights flew from my hands onto the robot, where
it then exploded and blew the robot into pieces

(what was that)

up in the control room,

"professor, thats my power, how does Scott have it" asked Jubilee

"I dont know my dear" said the professor

back in the danger room,

Another 2 robots appeared i once again threw my hand out, but this time, a
stream of ice shot out, completely freezing them. i put my hand into the
fist again and shot the lights out and blew the robots up.

"Now he has my Power" said Iceman

"This is strange indeed" said Hank

More robot appeared and i kept using the lights and ice and occasionly my
telekinesis. by the time the 7th lot came out, i was feeling drained when a
voice came on, "End Of Simualtion"

the doors opened and the professor, hank, logan, storm, jean and my friends
came out,

"Scott, that was quite an impressive display."

"thank you professor, i have a question. You told me my only power was
Telekinesis, so how come i can use Ice and Lights which explode?"

"I dont know, the powers you exihbited are the same as Bobby's and
Jubilee's"

"I think i may have an answer" spoke Hank

"Scott, today, did you witness either of these powers"

"yea, um when we were outisde, my friends where showing me their powers"

"Then i believe you possess the power of Mimicry" said Hank

"Mimicry.... and me without my dictionary" i said

"Mimicry is a rare power which allows an individual to copy the powers of
any Superbeing they come into contact with. there are many types of
Mimicry, such as Empathic Mimicry, Visual Mimicry and Touch Mimicry. each
one of these works in different ways" explained Hank

"Ok... so which one do i have"

"I think you may have Visual Mimicry, which means, you can only copy the
powers you see"

"but i saw all my friends powers, except Rogues, so how come i only used
Bobby's and Jubilee's"

"that is a question, to which i look forward to, in the finding the answer
for"

(God, your a really big help)

"ok, so hank could you find out all you can about Scott's Power please"
asked the professor

"Definately Charles"

"Scott, as your friends may have already told you, many mutants go by code
names so as not to have their real identity released. For example, Logan is
Wolverine, and Hank is Beast. John is Pyro and Megan is Pixie and so on. Do
you have any names for yourself?"

"Ermm kinda, i was thinking Mimic"

"Sorry bub, that names taken" said Wolverine

"Ok, how about Copycat"

the team now looked solem

"there was a mutant called Vanessa Geraldine Carlysle who used the name
Copycat, but she was murdered by an Evil Mutant Called Sabretooth"
explained Storm

"im Sorry" i said

"its ok"

"Well, any other suggestions" asked the professor

"yea, i got one more, how about Ditto"

"Ditto, what kinda name is that" asked Bobby laughing

"Shut up Bobby" shouted John

Bobby went quite,

"i chose the name Ditto because it means 'Copy' or the 'Same' as. Hank said
my power is Mimicry, which is to 'copy' another, so the name Ditto fits"

"I think its cool" said John

"thanks"

"ok, well, Scott, dinner is in a little while, so why dont you hang out
with your friends" said the professor

with that all the teachers left, leaving me with my friends.

"Im gonna go take a shower, i'll see you later" i said and i left



Ok, sorry about the long wait guys, but i have been dealing with some hard
stuff.

ok, so John appears to like Scott and Scott likes him, so should they get
it on???

and whats up with Bobby???

plus, what's up with Scott's power?
