School Daze 03

Harry and I quickly scrambled for our clothes and managed to get
dressed while trying to avoid Rita's spells at the same time. I managed
the feat and then used a flying front kick to send her to the other side of
the classroom, giving Harry all the time needed to finish dressing. He
rolled left while I rolled right as Rita finally lost her temper.
"Bastards!" she screamed as she attacked. I threw up my personal
shield and stopped three of her attacks. She really was drawing on power
from someplace and I knew this fight needed to be ended fast. A moment
later the room filled up with witches and wizards, Albus Dumbledore leading
them.
"Come get me!" she screamed as she stood on top of McGonagall's
desk. I threw a couple of the Transfiguration textbooks in her direction
but she easily turned them aside as I charged. A spell nearly hit me but I
had changed direction at the last second and a bookcase suffered an early
demise, the books catching fire. While Rita was concentrating on me, Harry
popped out of nowhere and threw a rope around her ankles and pulled on it
hard, bringing her down hard on the desk. She yowled in pain and turned to
look for the person who had done it. Harry had gone back into cover and
she threw a half dozen spells at everybody. Albus maintained a shield
around everybody, protecting them. The teachers threw a few spells at her,
which bounced off her own shield. This was getting way too much. I
decided it was up to me to take her down. I moved fast, landing on top of
her and driving her head into the top of the desk. She managed to throw me
off and I managed to get a grip on her wand and snapped it in half. Her
eyes grew big in shock as she looked at the broken wand.
"NOW YOU DIE!" she screamed at me. I rolled just as she drew a
second wand, casting an unforgivable at me. I back flipped over her and
landed on the floor to her right. She turned, giving me a target of
opportunity. I gave her a big right, knocking her backwards off the desk
and onto the floor. She rose and pointed her wand at me. I dropped and
rolled, the spells narrowly missing me. I came to my feet with four
shiriken between my fingers, coated with sleep potion. She snarled at us
and then made a gesture with her hand and I knew what she was trying to do.
When it became clear she hadn't turned into a bug, she came totally
unglued. Rita started throwing spells all over the place, but the shield
around the teachers held fast. I had gone for cover and was waiting for
opportunity to use shiriken. The spells stopped and she panted, trying to
catch her breath. She was three seconds too slow as two of the shirikens
sank home in her arm, the other two missing her. She grabbed the two in
her arm and pulled them out. I could see blood on her arm where the
shiriken had hit and knew it was just a matter of time now.
"Rita darling, you is mine now," I said calmly. She swayed a
moment later and I knew the sleep potions were starting to have an effect
on her. I watched as she slumped against the wall and then finally keeled
over. Rita Skeeter was finished. Harry and I stood there and watched as
Albus did a few spells to keep her from using her magic at all. He turned
to us and smiled grimly.
"Well done, all of you. Especially David. You used those things
perfectly. Miss Skeeter is no longer a threat. I have discovered a
pendant that was charmed to double her power. It has been removed and it
will be handed over to the officials as soon as they arrive. I believe she
will never leave Azkaban," Albus Dumbledore said. Harry nodded. "What a
tragedy." Snape nodded. "That it is, Potter. A lesson here to be
learned." Nothing more was said as Rita was carried out of the classroom.
Harry and I followed the group down to the infirminary where she was placed
inside a secure room and locked in. Albus would contact the officials and
no doubt she would be collected the next day if not sooner.
"What now?" I asked Harry. He shook his head. "Let's call it a
day." That sounded good to me so we retreated to our private flat. I drew
a bath while Harry stripped down. Both of us climbed into the tub and sat
down together. Harry leaned against me and I rubbed his shoulders.
"I was hoping we could help her," Harry said, finally breaking the
silence. I sighed and kissed the top of his head. "So was I, Harry. But
she made her choice and now she will have to suffer the consequences."
"Do you think she will ever recover?" he asked.
"No. She never will," I said. Harry sighed and snuggled up to me,
closing his eyes. I gently stroked his cheek and hugged him close to me.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

The next morning we watched as Rita was carried out of Hogwarts and
to a waiting horseless carriage for her final trip. She would be locked up
inside Azkaban for the remained of her days. Her actions and decline into
insanity had condemned her to her fate. Once the carriage was gone, I
turned to Harry. He looked up at me and nodded.
"She chose her fate," he said. Dumbledore nodded. "Yes. A
powerful lesson here to be learned." He wasn't kidding. I turned to Harry
and took his hand as the crowd dispersed.
"Want to get some breakfast and then go walkabout once more?" I
asked. He smiled. "Yeah. We got a castle to explore." We walked into
the hall and had a leisurely breakfast and then headed up to the next floor
beneath the one we had cleared yesterday. By the end of the day we had
cleared two more floors and had collected quite a few Wizard cards and a
lot more Every Flavor Beans. We gave the Twins a considerable amount of
the beans for a gag they were planning at the end of the year. I had the
feeling it would be a good one.
The day we were to head to the burrow Harry and I had cleared a
good part of Hogwarts, deciding to do the grounds once the warm weather
came around. We flooed into the Burrow once Bill Weasley declared it safe
to arrive. All of us kids worked hard to fix the place up before Molly and
Arthur arrived Christmas Eve. They certainly were surprised and happy to
see all of us again.
"The house looks beautiful," Molly said as she looked around at the
Christmas decorations that all of us spent the last two hours putting up.
"Just us this year?" Ron asked. Arthur nodded. "Yes. Another
relative volunteered to do the open house thing for the clan this year."
"Cool," Ron nodded. "Be nice to have a quiet holiday for once."
Arthur turned to Harry and me. "I hear you two had an interesting
situation." Harry and I spent the next fifteen minutes telling Molly and
Arthur what had happened.
"So now she's locked very securely inside Azkaban for the rest of
her days," I said. "Kinda sad." Arthur nodded. "Albus is right when he
said she chose her own path."
"I know. Hard lesson to learn," Harry said. "But it's done and
over."
"The both of you are safe and that's what matters," Molly said.
Bill came back downstairs as Charlie walked into the living room from the
kitchen.
"Dinner's ready," he announced. Molly led the way to the kitchen
and we sat down in our usual places and had a great Christmas Eve dinner.

The house was quiet when I came back from my morning run. Checking
the time I decided to put on a pot of tea, coffee, and apple cider and set
out some pastries for a late breakfast. Charlie and bill were cooking
Christmas dinner and they promised good stuff. Molly was thrilled about
having not to cook today and decided on a bit of a lie in with Arthur.
Naturally I wondered if they ever did anything and smiled at the thought.
I went upstairs after setting up the pots and went into the shower. When I
came out Harry was getting up.
"Hey there beautiful," I smiled when I saw him. He turned and
grinned. "You talking about me?"
"Well, you are the only one in here at the moment," I said. Harry
laughed and walked over to me and we hugged. "Be out of the shower in a
bit." I dressed and went downstairs, going back to the kitchen. I drew a
cup of coffee and sat down at the table. Ron and Hermione were the next
two to wander in.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked. Ron grumbled and stretched. "Didn't
want to wake up. Was way too comfortable." I had to grin at that. Ron
wasn't a morning person at all. Hermione on the other hand was wide awake
and eager to go.
"Good morning," she said as she drew a cup of tea for Ron and
herself. I pulled a bed tray out of the closet next to the sink and drew
two tall cups of tea and arranged some pastries on a small plate.
"Room service for Molly and Arthur," I announced, knocking on their
door. I heard a rustling sound inside the room. "Come in," Arthur's voice
called. I opened the door and carried the tray over to them. "Here you
are. Two cups of hot fresh tea and breakfast pastries." Both of them
smiled. "Thanks David." I quietly retreated and closed the door behind
me.
I went back down in time to see the Twins clowning around as usual,
making people laugh. I noticed Charlie was guarding his teacup closely.
"Not chirping yet?" I asked Charlie. He grinned. "Not this time."
The twins just grinned at us and I knew they were up to something. I had
to laugh at the expressions on their faces.
"I wouldn't bet on that just yet," I said as I reached for my cup.
Fred grinned even wider and I put my cup down quickly and went for a fresh
cup of coffee. Fred grumbled as he turned to his brother. When he did, I
quickly switched my cup for his and resumed my position by the coffee pot.
Fred turned back and I sipped my fresh coffee. Molly and Arthur walked
into the room just as Fred picked up the cup I'd given him on the sneak and
he drained it in one go. Then he screwed up his face when he realized what
he had just drank. The cup of coffee he'd spiked. The room burst out into
laughter.
"What's going on?" Arthur asked, quite puzzled. Fred sighed.
"Chirp." Molly closed her eyes as she suddenly realized what had happened
as George rolled on the floor in laughter. Then Arthur joined in the
laughter as Molly shook her head.
"Finally got yours, didn't you?" she inquired and then broke down
in laughter. Fred just smiled at me as he picked up his wand and waved it
around his throat. "You got me good, slick. Very nice." We shook hands
and then we turned our attention to the tree. It was time for presents.
Bill and Charlie really outdid themselves on the Christmas Dinner.
There was turkey and ham with all of the appropriate side dishes. The
fireplace pinged and I turned to it with drawn Wakizaki as Harry stood next
to me with his wand drawn. It turned out to be Dumbledore. Charlie walked
into the living room at that moment.
"I forgot to tell all of you that I invited Professor Dumbledore to
dinner. Hope you all don't mind," Charlie said as he shook hands with
Dumbledore. Harry and I stood down and welcomed Dumbledore. He smiled and
wished us a Happy Christmas. We sat in the living room for a moment and
did some light chit chat before heading in to the kitchen table for dinner.
It was one of the most relaxing evenings we spent, enjoying each other's
company and the entertainment from the Twins. Those two never fail to
entertain.
"So what's planned for the New Year?" I asked Albus.
"Nothing new just yet," he said. "The Ministry has been quiet of
late and there's nothing new on him."
	"I guess that's a good thing then," I said. "Considering what's
been going on of late I guess we are due for a break."
"Just because he's gone into hiding doesn't mean he's completely
gone," Arthur said. "We still need to be aware of what's going on. The
Death Eaters may still be active and there are a few of them out there to
worry about." Dumbledore nodded. "Constant vigilance, as a friend would
say." I had to agree with that. I wasn't going to ease up on my training
just because the man was lying low someplace. I'd continue to train as
hard as I possibly could. I'd continue to teach Harry the martial arts and
anyone else who was interested. Besides, Voldemort still has much to
answer for. One day he will. Nobody ever escapes justice.
Dumbledore left around ten and all of us eventually drifted up to
bed. Dudley was rooming with Harry and me so that took care of our
privacy. Harry didn't mind too much. The three of us sat on our beds and
talked quietly until nearly one in the morning. We didn't settle anything
major or solve some major world problem, but we did have some interesting
proposals to a few of the Wizarding world's problems. I think Dudley would
make a great politician if he was inclined to go in that direction. Who
really knows what direction life can take a person in. I believe in faith
and designation, but I also believe a large part of that lies in our own
hands. What we do with our lives today can affect our future.

We rang in the New Year with a large group of people crowding
Diagon alley. The band accepted an invitation to play in the alley, using
the top steps of Gringotts bank as a stage. We went all out and really put
on a show, Fred and George using all of their fireworks skills to light up
the alley to ring in the New Year at the stroke of midnight. I think that
was one of the best times anyone had, knowing it was safe to come out and
really celebrate. Even the goblins that ran the bank joined in the
festivities and that was the first time I'd ever seen the goblins celebrate
something. Hermione told us later that was the first time in Wizard
history that the goblins actively mingled with Wizards to celebrate
something. Fudge declared in the next morning's Daily Prophet that the
goblins joining us for a celebration was a positive step in the right
direction, bring about better relations between the Goblin world and the
Wizarding world. The day after that, Griphook was interviewed and
basically said the same thing, noting that it was the first time he himself
felt that he'd been accepted in the Wizarding World. The paper was filled
with letters for the next two weeks, running nearly 98% positive at the new
direction the Goblin/Wizarding relations had gone in. I hoped it would
continue and hopefully other magical races would see that and ask for
peaceful relations with the Wizarding world. It would go a long way in the
event that Voldemort reappeared. I'm sure he wouldn't be too happy with
the news that all of the magical races were engaging in peaceful relations.
Getting back to Hogwarts one Sunday evening was a quiet trip. A
lot of us had much on our minds, especially the seventh years. Fred and
George were discussing the possibility of going into business together,
marketing their gags and pranking kits. I knew they'd be an overnight
success. I decided I'd throw some money behind them. I didn't know Harry
was considering the same thing and it was a surprise to me when he showed
up at Fred and George's secret lab with a big bag of cash the same time I
did. By the time we left that evening, everything was said and done. The
WWW, or Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes was born. The name was Harry's idea,
saying they should have a name that was easy to remember. A few days later
Colin Creevey gave them a sheet of paper on which he'd designed the logo
for their company. He got a lifetime supply of pranking kits for his
efforts. All of us had to make sure we didn't end up in one of Colin's
pranks.
The next two Quidditch matches pretty much went in the way we knew
they would. Gryffindor House won them both. For the Parent's Weekend, it
was decided that the teachers and staff would challenge the students to a
match. Fred and George quickly set up voting boxes in the hall and
everyone voted on who should play what. Harry got the majority vote for
seeker, which was really no surprise to anyone. We got the band together
for rehearsals and discussions as to what we would do for the Saturday
night dance. Friday night would be a talent show open to everyone at the
school, including the teachers and staff. I was sure we'd see some really
good things from the performers. Boy was I right. There were the usual
singers and skits, but the highlights of the evening had to have been
Professor Snape and his absolutely amazing illusions. He was very talented
and he pulled off some of the best ones I'd ever seen. Professor
Dumbledore did an animated reading with one of his favorite poems and
actually suggested a few gags for it. It went over big with the crowd.
Naturally the Twins emceed the show once more, taking potshots at the
performers, Harry, the Ministry, and the school. Neville was asked to do
his impressions of the staff and teachers in the school once more, getting
a good sized ovation for his impressions. The show was a hit.
The game between teachers and students was too close to call. The
plays were close, the score even closer, and there were some excellent
stunts and some very skillful flying. The teachers certainly made the
students work for the win but we got it much to the excitement of the
crowd. Of course we all knew the game was all in good fun, nobody really
cared who won as long as we all had fun doing it. The house elves set up
one hell of a buffet lunch for all of us and after the lunch there was a
guided tour for anyone interested in seeing the castle and a lot of the
incoming first years and their parents took advantage of it. I was glad to
see that because now it meant the incoming first years would know what to
expect. McGonagall kept Percy busy with other things and I suspect it was
to keep him from showing off with his superior attitude. I was glad of
that, even though he'd graduated ahead of us years before. The current
Gryffindor prefect did a very good job when people came into the Gryffindor
Tower to visit and see the place. Hermione suggested that some of us set
up a display of some of our current projects by year and that proved to be
a good thing, because it gave the incoming first years and idea of what to
expect. Thank God Snape went easy on the incoming first years, informing
them and their parents of the potions program, from the basic to the very
advanced. The other professors did the same, having students volunteer to
demonstrate some of the things being studied in class. There was no doubt
the weekend was a success for the school.
After that it was back to the grind. Since it was our final year,
we didn't have very many classes to go to. The emphasis was on charms,
transfiguration, and DADA. We did get a lot of homework in those subjects,
which left us very little time to be together. Harry and I did manage to
slip away to our private flat that had been moved after the Rita Skeeter
fiasco nearly a year and a half ago. Our privacy was a lot more guarded
than ever, Dumbledore wanting to prevent any more undue events. Thinking
back to then, I don't blame him for wanting to make sure that Harry and I
were protected. Yes it was a bit stifling at times, but we hung in there
knowing that once we were out of Hogwarts we didn't have to be subject to
his constant presence in our lives. Once Harry and I reached our majority
(legal age), we certainly found out a lot about our dear headmaster. It
seemed that he had interfered in every aspect of Harry's life, placing him
with the Dursleys against his parent's wishes to suppressing Sirius Black's
will. According to Sirius Black's will, Harry was to get everything, from
properties to the Black Family Vault. Even the Potter will had been kept
from Harry as well. Harry was to have gone to either Sirius Black or Remus
Lupin to live with them. Harry was to have gotten the Potter Family
fortune and properties, including the Family ring, which was supposed to
give him even more magical power. Harry had flown into a rage and it took
me, Draco, Lupin, Hermione, and the Weasleys to keep him from doing
anything rash. Once everything came to light, Harry wasted no time in
making sure everything that was supposed to be his went to him. One of the
things he did was to name me the head of the Black Family. When I slipped
the Black Family ring on, I felt an increase in my magical power. Harry
legally was my Liege Lord since the Black Family was entwined with the
Potter Family as a minor branch of the Potter Family and I didn't have any
problem with that. Once everything was in Harry's control, he got busy and
set up a few things to benefit the Wizarding World. One of the things he
did was to set up an Orphan's Foundation to assist Wizarding Orphanages
around England. The second was to set up a couple of scholarships to help
poor families send their kids to Hogwarts. The third was to give the
Weasley Family a significant amount of money to improve their lives. When
word of the foundations he'd set up got out, Harry was deluged with
donations and requests to speak on the foundations he'd set up. Naturally
Professor Dumbledore found out that Harry and I had discovered his secret
interference in Harry's life. The conversation in his office that stormy
afternoon changed a lot of things for us. We lost the use of the private
flat and lost our Hogsmeade privileges. As if that was going to really
stop us. Harry and I decided we'd keep all of this to ourselves for the
time being. We had four months left in Hogwarts anyway.

Harry and I managed to keep our relationship going with the help of
the guys in our dorm. Every now and then Lee Jordan, the seventh year
prefect would let us use his room and his private bath so we could have
some private time together. We owed Lee Jordan a lot for doing that for
us, running the risk of getting into trouble with Dumbledore. If he knew,
he never said anything. I remember very clearly the night we spent in
there a few weeks before our graduation from Hogwarts. We had become men
and we had grown from the young teens into big men and the physical changes
we went through had a lot of the girls and a few boys chasing us. While
Harry and I enjoyed the attention we got, we knew that we'd never go bed
hopping. These days it isn't safe at all. God know what you could catch.
"Bath is ready," Harry called out from inside the bathroom in his
deep rich baritone, sending shivers up and down my spine.
"Be right there, love. Almost ready," I said. I walked into the
bathroom a moment later and got into the bathtub, or should I say a small
swimming pool with Harry. We hugged each other and the evening's pleasures
started. We took the time to wash each other and engaged in a lot of
foreplay, the touching and caressing each other causing great pleasure
inside us. I enjoyed exploring his muscular body, the result of many hard
workouts with each other. That wasn't all that had grown. Harry's cock
had grown a bit more, finally settling in at nine inches. Believe me when
I tell you I enjoyed it very much! Mine had attained eight inches and I
was happy with that. I know Harry enjoyed it too.
"Someone's eager to play," Harry whispered into my ear as my hard
cock was pressed against his thigh.
"So is yours," I shot back as I felt his hard nine inches on my
stomach. We fondled each other for a few minutes and then decided we had
enough of the bath. Getting out we dried each other off and headed into
the bedroom to bed. Stretching out on the bed, Harry moved into a 69 and
took my cock into his mouth while his fingers worked to lubricate and
stretch my ass for the lovemaking I knew he would do to me. I took his
hard cock into my mouth and used my fingers to get him ready for my cock.
We sucked each other off for a long time, keeping each other on edge but
not going all the way. Finally Harry backed off and rolled me onto my
back. He placed my legs on his shoulders and slowly entered me.
"Take my love for you. Feel my love enter into you, become one
with you," Harry whispered as he bottomed out deep inside of me. I lifted
my head and kissed him. "Thank you for giving me your love." Harry slowly
began the lovemaking as I sighed and reached up to touch and caress his
torso. I felt his cock moving inside of me and it felt so good, so right.
He closed his eyes a moment later and I knew he was about to cum inside of
me.
"Here comes my love," he whispered and then I felt him cumming
inside of me. He kept on fucking me until he had filled me up with his
love. He slipped out of me and lay next to me and laid his head on my
chest. We rested for a bit and then I moved in between his legs as he
smiled. He placed his legs on my shoulders and I slipped my cock deep
inside of him. Harry sighed and smiled.
"Please David, give me your sweet love," he whispered as he kissed
me. I smiled down at him. "I will, my love." I started thrusting my cock
deep inside of him, giving him pleasure as I got mine. He moaned in
pleasure as I kept on making love to him. I could feel his anal muscle
gripping me tight and then before I knew it I was cumming deep inside of
him.
"There. There is my love for you," I whispered as I filled him up
with cum. We snuggled up together once I was done. After a few more
kisses and touches, we went to sleep in each other's arms.
The next morning it was obvious to everyone what happened with us
last night. Harry and I couldn't stop smiling. Even the sight of
Dumbledore couldn't dampen our spirits. He certainly didn't look too
happy. The Order had found out about his indiscretions against Harry and
they were not pleased, Lupin being the most vocal in his displeasure.
Harry decided that the Black house at 12 Grimmauld Place would be given to
the Order to use until the war was over. Then it's fate would be decided
permanently. It needed a major cleaning. We recruited Dobby and a few of
the Hogwarts elves to clean the place. Molly took charge of that and
between all of us we got it done. The last item on the list was the
portrait of Mrs. Black in the hall by the door. To our chagrin, we
discovered the portrait was truly stuck in place with a permanent sticking
charm. I eventually solved that problem by renting a chain saw. The
moment I showed up with it Mrs. Black did a complete panic scene.
"What is that?" she screamed in panic. I smiled evilly. "It's a
Muggle tool called a chain saw. It cuts things in half. In your case,
it's going to help me cut your ugly face off the wall." Talk about doing
the major freak, she really went ballistic. I'm sure Sirius would have
enjoyed the sight of the chain saw going into the wall and around the
portrait as I cut the damn thing off the wall. Molly calmly wrapped the
portrait up in a sheet of black canvas and carried it upstairs to the
attic. It is still there to this day.
The Order didn't meet very often due to the lack of Death Eater
activity. Of course they voted me, Harry, the Twins, Hermione, Ron, and
Ginny in as full members once Mad Eye Moody pointed out that the fight was
now up to the younger generation even though the older people had been in
it the longest. The Twins didn't hesitate to demonstrate what kind of
thing they had come up with to help in the fight against the Death Eaters.
Some of their items were well received, others were sent back to the
drawing board with suggestions from us to improve them. Another change was
that Dumbledore now no longer had final say in anything. Since the
prophecy foretold Harry and Voldemort's last battle, Harry was now looked
to for the final word. Naturally Harry looked to Dumbledore for advice and
the old man was glad that Harry still respected him enough to ask his
advice. Dumbledore would offer his thoughts on the subject and then Harry
would make the decision. As long as the Death Eaters remained quiet, there
wasn't much of anything to do. The Order and their associates kept track
of the known Death Eaters and Snape kept up his own contacts with them in
hopes to glean any new information. As they say, no news is good news.

Harry and I faced an uncertain future after Hogwarts. We had been
accepted into the Auror Academy immediately after graduation. The
recruiter talked to us over tea at Hogwarts in the Gryffindor commons room
one afternoon a week before graduation.
"We are aware that the both of you are a couple and that doesn't
bother us at all," Dawlish said. "What makes you two very formidable is
the fact that both of you have trained together extensively in DADA and the
martial arts. What we saw of your audition at the Academy two weeks ago
was really amazing. You two knew exactly what to do and did it. Both of
you had some really amazing moves. You guys didn't stop to make up a plan
of defense or offense, you just flat out did it. David moved in one
direction, Harry did the opposite. David would go high. Harry went low.
The people you two faced in combat were equally impressed."
"One of the reasons why we train constantly on a daily basis,"
Harry replied. "We wanted our moves to be quick and in synch with each
other, to be quick and decisive, and to be done without wasting a move."
"Well, you guys are in. We'll see you the first week of July.
Take some time off and spend it with each other. I'll be honest. Once you
get started, there won't be much time for be... close," Dawlish said. "To
let you know we will work you hard and be taking up a lot of your time and
we promise to never pull a Dumbledore." Harry and I nodded. "Thank you
for your understanding."
That as far as we were concerned, settled our future. Now all we
had to do was get through graduation. Once we got past that, the future
and the world was ours and we planned on making the very best of it. But
life does have a way of changing one's plans and many things would affect
our lives. But we knew that we had each other and the support of our
friends whenever we needed it. All of our friends knew they had our
support. All they needed to do was ask. We'd be there in a heartbeat.
That's just the way we were. I look up and Harry is standing before me
with a smile on his face. I stand and take him into my arms and we kiss.
Time for us to go and graduate.

Epilog

In a surprise attack that we knew was coming, Voldemort and his
supporters attacked the graduation with the intent of bringing us down and
killing Harry. Instead he lost his life. Harry and I organized the
defense. Once Voldemort made his appearance, all of the parents, the
graduates, the teachers, the staff, and observers saw him coming, the
panicked right on cue, running everywhere. But there was a plan to their
actions and before the Death Eaters realized what was going on, it was too
late. They were completely surrounded by very angry wizards. The battle
was quick and decisive until me, Harry, Voldemort, and Nott met in the
middle of the field. Voldemort threw down his challenge to which Harry
accepted. Nott introduced himself as Voldemort's second. I stepped up and
declared myself to be Harry's second. Nott and I backed off and left Harry
and Voldemort in the middle. In what was to be a long remembered battle,
Harry killed Voldemort. Nott stood up in total shock, realizing for the
first time that the Dark Lord had finally fallen for good. Harry had used
a simple cutting charm to remove Voldemort's head from the body. Nott
charged Harry and Harry killed him instantly. The Death Eaters in anger
charged once more but they failed. Many of them died that day. Neville
Longbottom in a surprise fight avenged his parents by killing Bella
LeStrange. The woman dies with a shocked look on her face. Her final
words would be long remembered.
"I never imagined I'd be beaten by a Longbottom," she whispered as
she died. The captured Death Eaters were taken to Azkaban where many of
the revealed for the first time many of their supporters inside the
Ministry. Arthur went right to work removing them. Harry and I spent
nearly ten years chasing down all of the Death Eaters and their supporters
that were on the run. We had many adventures and many of our battles were
the stuff of legends. Then word reached us of Dumbledore being on his
deathbed. Harry and I went back to Hogwarts and to see the man. He was
resting comfortably in his bed. He had aged badly and he now knew his time
had come. That afternoon he spent much of his time addressing his wrongs
he'd committed against Harry. He handed Harry a piece of parchment to be
opened when he passed on. He told us the board of governors of Hogwarts
had a similar letter. Dumbledore passed on a week later, surrounded by
friends he had come to regard as family. The Wizarding World was deep in
mourning. Dumbledore was placed in state in the Great Hall so that people
could come and pay their final respects before the funeral.
A week later the board of governors called Harry and me to the
conference room that they met in. Harry had a seat on the board due to the
fact that the Potter Clan had once been very active in the school and was a
very powerful Family in the Wizarding World. Harry opened the letter that
Dumbledore had given him as each member opened his or hers from him. It
was a motion to make Harry the new Headmaster of Hogwarts. The board voted
unanimously to accept Dumbledore's recommendation. After much persuasion
and McGonagall refusal to accept the post, Harry took it. McGonagall then
pledged her support to Harry as his assistant Headmaster. Snape surprised
everyone present when he went down on one knee and swore an oath to Harry,
to support and defend him. He also apologized to Harry for the bad blood
between them and then took his place behind Harry. Harry accepted Snape's
Oath and apology.
That September, Harry took the train to Hogsmeade and arrived at
the school in front of a press conference. Arthur Weasley, the Minister of
Magic administered the Headmaster's Oath to Harry. Harry turned to face
the school and the ovation he got lasted a good long time. His first year
as Headmaster provided many challenges to him. One thing he did accomplish
was the ending of hostilities between Slytherin House and the Gryffindor
House. Only then did Hogwarts finally become united. Snape decided he
would step down as Head of House and just teach potions. Draco Malfoy was
named as the new Head of House for Slytherin. Time as is supposed to do
went on. Both of us are old now, Harry in his one hundredth year and me in
my late nineties. Both of us are still very much in love. Both of us had
adopted a number of children, so our lines will continue.
Our friends? Hermione has taken over the library as we suspected
she would. One can always find her in there. Ron is an Auror, and both of
them have grown kids who have married and their kids are now in Hogwarts.
Fred and George became very successful with WWW and have retired. Their
adult children now run it. The pranking gene has been passed down to their
grandkids. With seven in Hogwarts in various years, one learns to make
sure they aren't walking into a Weasley prank. The Marauders would be
proud. Remus Lupin had passed on long ago. He left his fortune to help
those who have become werewolves in hopes that a cure could be found.
Snape's research over the years has improved the Wolfsbane potion to the
point where the transformations are no longer painful and the victims
retain their human minds. Lee Jordan became an Auror and his exploits are
well known due to the number of books he has written on his adventures
after he retired a number of years ago. Ginny Weasley now runs the
hospital wing, Madame Pomfrey having passed on long ago. Minerva
McGonagall retired from her position from Head of House and assistant to
the headmaster. She still lives at Hogwarts, having no other home. She
had stated long ago that Hogwarts was forever her home. One of her
granddaughters has taken her place and is just as powerful as she was in
her prime. Dudley became a laywer specializing in Wizarding/Muggle
matters. Me? I teach DADA and martial arts. Teaching can be fun at
times. Time for me to go teach a class. See you later.

Peace to all, merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again.
