  Chapter 1

  The summer was hectic for everybody. Moving from Florida to a whole new
region of the country was not easy on anybody. Justin was still unpacking and
adjusting. Justin and Cornell managed to get a spacious two bedroom apartment
in Manhattan that didn't completely wreck their pocket but was a little
expensive. Justin had to be drugged every time they flew up there. He got
homesick very often but refused to cry about it. He was a man now and all the
crying and whining had to stop and the working out and manual labor had to
begin because he was not a spoiled child anymore nor was he living with his
parents. At this very moment he was lifting one the heaviest boxes he ever
lifted. He carried it through the front door while Cornell sat on the couch
watching TV.

  "Be careful with that." Cornell said

  "I am, what do you have in here?" Justin asked

  "Shoes." Cornell said which made Justin drop the box roughly.

  "I'm bout to give out of life over here for your stinky behind shoes?"
Justin said exhaling and sitting on the couch.

  "My shoes don't stank." Cornell said still looking at the television.

  "Why won't you move them then?" Justin asked

  "I'm old and you're young , that's why. The deal was you move the stuff
and I'll give you some of this good lovin tonight." Cornell said

  "Yeah yeah who's winnin?" Justin asked looking at the TV.

  "Stop talkin and look damn." Cornell said

  "Who are you talkin to?" Justin asked

  "You." Cornell said

  "No you're not." Justin said

  "I'm tryin to watch the game." Nelly said

  "Ok baby since you wanna talk to me^Å" Justin said sitting on his lap
blocking his view of the TV. "..did you finish all the school mess?" Justin
asked

  "Nah I'll do it later or you can do it for me all I got is books to get.
Move." Nelly said slightly picking Justin up and sitting him down next to him.

  "Well I'ma go do it now. I want it all the house the dog the picket fence
and ice marker, but first I gotta get my education." Justin said

  "Whatever you want baby. Bring me back something to eat aight?" Cornell
said

  "Ok. I love you. Bye." Justin said kissing him on the lips. Cornell put his
hand on Justin's butt and pulled him down to make the kiss more passionate.

  "Love you too. Bye." Cornell said Justin grabbed his keys off the counter
and walked out the door. He went to the elevator and pressed the down button
and waited for the door to open. Once the elevator arrive it took Justin down
to the lobby. It wasn't a long walk to the campus but it as enough to get
exercise. It was very different up north, more liberal and more crime. This was
a city where people walked more than they did in Orlando. He walked south
towards the big school buildings on the block without bumping into any of the
other pedestrians. Once he approached the glass door to one of the buildings,
he saw students of all ages. Some were sitting some were in line some were
laughing. The building was cold on the inside, the air condition was running on
high and as he walked the breeze hit Justin in the face. He looked around for a
sign that says "Book Store". This place was almost like huge to him. When he
finally spotted the place he was looking for he saw a line of
 people standing like they had been there for a while. He rubbed his hands over
his face and sighed as he got behind a short girl at the end of the line.

  Justin mind wondered as he got closer and closer to his destination. He
thought about his relationship, his friends and how he had to make new ones,
his family, and the pass 3 years. He was knocked out of his zone literally when
cut him in line, roughly bumping into him. He looked up saw a sexy guy but that
still didn't stop him from saying something.
  "Aye yo, I've been waitin here forever." Justin said. The guy turned
around looked at him, he seemed surprised somebody said something.

  "My bad. I aint even see you there." the guy said. Justin gave a chuckle
and stepped around the man back to his place in line.

  "Well I apologize. I ain't get your name." the guy said

  "Justin. Justin Timberlake and you are?" Justin turned around and said.

  " Howard Bailey Jr." the guy said

  "Damn right. Chingy, son." Howard said.

  "Howard, what year are you in?" Justin asked taking a step forward.

  "Second, you?" Chingy said.

  "First time." Justin laughed.

  "What's so funny?" Chingy asked

  "I ain't said those words in a long time." Justin said

  "Where are you from?" Chingy asked

  "Florida. You?" Justin said taking another step forward.

  "St. Louis." Chingy said

  "Sounds so familiar. I know somebody from there. Anyway, why did you come up
here of all places?" Justin said

  "I needed a change of scenery and to get away form some shit back home."
Chingy said

  "Same here." Justin said as he got to the front of the line finally. He
pulled out his and Cornell's book list and told the lady what he needed. After
he got done he had spent over a thousand dollars in books alone. Justin looked
at his receipt and rubbed a hand over his face as he sighed. Two bags and he
spent over a thousand dollars. He saw Chingy only bought one paperback book.

  "Yo man lemme go finish this shit right here." Chingy said

  "Ok, I'ma see you around when school start right?" Justin said as he
smiled and walked towards the door.

  "Hopefully." Chingy said as Justin walked out the building.

  Justin sat in his living room with a glass of milk watching TV shirting
through his bag of books that he bought earlier. The ran poured down outside
and it streamed down the glass windows of the clean apartment. It was a little
on the late side at night and Justin was wearing his white robe. He got hungry
so he got up and went into the kitchen, pass the dining table into the kitchen.
The apartment was eerily quiet tonight as the TV was the only noise. He knew
his man was somewhere around because he doesn't remember him leaving. He
didn't bother to turn on the kitchen light so the refrigerator was the only
light illuminating the way. As he leaned down to get something, he felt a sharp

  "And thank you for the food. You are too good to me." Nelly said

  "I know that, you deserve it though. You`re always doing stuff for me."
Justin said

  "This is a calm ass night forreal." Nelly said after a few seconds of
silence.

  "Yeah it is, that's why that slap on my ass was a surprise." Justin said
playfully hitting him in the chest, which prompted Cornell to grab his hand. He
pulled Justin closer and rested his forehead against the younger man's.

  "That almost hurt^Å.Lemme get some of that." Nelly said referring to the
yogurt.

  "Why do you want some of this?" Justin asked as he scooped more in his

  "Cos you makin it look good as hell." Nelly said. Justin rolled his eyes
and laughed.

  "Like what?" Justin asked like he didn't know.
