Chapter 12 Made Moves

After the concert, students congratulated Harris on his singing as
well as Davey. They also congratulated the two on being together. A few
even said the two young men made a cute couple.
"Are you two ready to go?" Ty asked Davey and Harris.
"I am when you are," Harris said to Davey.
"I think your adoring fans have gone," Davey answered. "Let's go."
"We're going out for ice cream," Tandy said, "in celebration for
you two getting back together."
	"Awesome!" Davey exclaimed.
"Are you coming?" Harris asked Blade as the vampire approached the
four youths.
"No. You go have a nice time. You deserve it. You did a good job
tonight, Harris. You, too, Davey."
"Thanks, sir," Harris said to Blade.
"Come on, everyone," Ty said loudly.
Blade watched the four young people walk off. He was proud of
them, all of them. "They are mature for their ages. They know the
difference between right and wrong. Tonight was proof enough of that."
Blade left as well, heading to his motorcycle. He revved it up and
headed out on the streets. There was no reason not to patrol. He could
handle his own. He did it before he met Tandy, Ty and Davey so there is no
reason why he couldn't now.
Blade headed for downtown and went to the Mecca, one of Columbus's
many dance clubs. This one was not like the Axis. This one had a mixed
clientele, both gay and straight.
'Vampires love any place they can feed inconspicuously. Clubs
provide the perfect atmosphere.'
Blade dismounted his motorcycle and headed in. The guy at the door
checking people's ID was ready to ask Blade for his. But when Blade gave
him the look, he let Blade enter. After paying the cover charge, Blade
made his way to the dance floor. In the strobe and flashing lights, young
men and women moved their bodies in time to the loud music gushing forth
from the speakers.
	"Young people," Blade thought.
It wasn't too long before Blade noticed someone who looked rather
pale escorting a young woman off the dance floor toward the bathrooms.
Rumor had it there were several make-out rooms along the corridor near the
bathrooms. Perfect places when someone wanted some privacy.
Blade followed the couple from a distance and watched as they
entered a room. The door closed and he approached it himself. Leaning up
against the door, he listened for signs of a struggle. The only sounds
that came forth were rustling noises.
The vampire hunter stepped back and let his foot fly against the
door. The impact caused the door to bust open. The guy already had his
dick out and inserted into the woman.
"You move awfully fast," Blade said lowering his stake shooter.
The two looked up at Blade. "Step away from the girl."
"What the fuck is this?" the guy asked.
"I could ask you the same thing. I've never known a vampire to
screw someone before feeding."
"Vampire?" the guy repeated. "What the hell are you talking about,
freak?"
	"You're not a..."
"You think I'm a frickin' vampire? God, where do you nut jobs come
from?"
Blade noticed the girl being noticeably quiet. He grabbed the
young man on the shoulder and pulled him out of the girl roughly and tossed
him back against the wall.
"Ow!" both exclaimed as the guy came out of the girl with a loud
pop.
"Nice try," Blade said lowering the gun at the girl's chest.
The girl smiled at Blade then swung her leg up connecting with the
gun barrel, pushing it out of the way. Her other foot came up and collided
with Blade's chest launching him out the door and through the door across
the hall. The guy looked from where Blade went to back to the girl.
"Come on, baby," the girl said. "Let's get it on."
For the first time, the guy noticed the girl's pointy teeth. "Are
you a..."
"Vampire? Yes. And sex with us is awesome! Don't you want to
experience sex on the edge?"
	"Not if it means dying."
The guy took off running out the door and down the hall, stuffing
his softening dick back in his pants and buttoning them up.
The girl got up and walked to the hallway. "Wuss," she muttered.
The sound of Blade recovering from her assault prompted her back to
the situation at hand. She ran down the hallway and out the door. Blade
came to the doorway and looked as the vampire ran through the door.
"Damn," he muttered and ran after her.
As he came to the parking lot, Blade saw the vampire pull out in
her car. He mounted his motorcycle and pealed out of the parking lot after
her.
"There is no way she's getting away."

Ty pulled his car into a small business ice cream parlor and parked
it. The four youths climbed out and went up to the window.
"What can I get for you?" the lady asked.
The four rattled off their orders. Ty got a soft serve frozen
yogurt, Tandy a double-chocolate brownie sundae, Davey a chocolate
milkshake and Harris a pineapple milkshake.
"Let's go to the park and eat this stuff," Ty said. "Bicentennial
Park isn't that far from here."
"The night is clear," Davey said, "perfect for a romantic midnight
stroll."
"All right you two love birds," Ty said. "We don't need to hear
none of that right now. Me and Tandy are seeing anyone and you guys don't
need to rub it in."
Everyone chuckled at that, including Ty. It felt good to Davey to
hear Ty joking about Harris and Davey dating. It showed he didn't have a
problem with gay people. Ty was coming around fairly well.
All their laughing changed as eeriness crept over Tandy and her
face shown it.
"What is it?" Ty asked noticing Tandy's look.
	"Demons are here."
	"How can you tell?"
"Something Ahriman taught me when he held me captive. I can sense
the demons."
	"What kind?" Ty said.
	"Vampires."
Out of the shadows crept the demonic creatures, their true faces
shown. Davey moved Harris in the middle of Ty and Tandy and all three
moved back to back keeping Harris safely in the middle.
	"Get ready!" Ty said.
Ahriman descended down in front of Tandy.
"Hello, my dear. I see you are honing your Slayer skills.
Excellent. Soon the dark powers will be more evident in your abilities and
you will become even more powerful than you can imagine."
"More powerful to kick your ass," Ty said.
"Ah, the wizard. How nice to finally meet you. And who is this
young boy?"
	"The name is..." Davey began
"None of your business, Ahriman," Tandy interrupted. "What do you
want with us?"
	"Nothing major. Just your company."
Arhiman stepped back from Tandy and motioned for his vampire
followers to attack. Right away Tandy formed three light daggers and flung
them at the vampires. Due to their supernatural existence, three caught
fire from the daggers and burned up.
"Sudis," Ty muttered and four wooden stakes appeared on the ground.
"Load up."
Everyone bent down and grabbed a wooden stake. Davey handed one to
Harris.
"Whatever you do, if one gets close, aim for the heart. But stay
away from them if you can."
"Gotcha," Harris replied. He kissed Davey on the cheek and the
young heroes began the battle with the vampires.
Tandy somersaulted forward and kicked a vampire knocking it to the
ground. She knelt when she got to her feet and staked the vampire.
Another vampire swung at her and she rolled forward to avoid the attack.
Ty ducked as a vampire swung at him then pushed the vampire away.
As the vampire stumbled, Ty jabbed the stake through his back into the
demon's heart and watched as it turned to dust. Another vampire swung at
him. He blocked it this time and backhanded the vampire.
A vampire took a branch and swung at Davey. Davey caught the end
of the branch, swung his left foot around and kicked the vampire in the
stomach. In a fluid motion, he brought his foot up and kicked the vampire
in the face dropping it to the ground. He spun his stake around in his
hand, staked the vampire, and went on to the nearest vampire.
Harris took Davey's advice and tried to stay away from the
creatures. It was a good plan since none of the demon vampires considered
him a threat. Ahriman, however, had a different plan. He approached
Harris with a seductive smile on his face.
"Stay away from me," Harris said. "I'll stake you."
Ahriman just smiled and continued his approach. When he was within
striking distance, Harris jabbed the stake into Ahriman's heart.
"Ow!" Ahriman exclaimed stepping back. He grabbed the stake Harris
left in his heart and pulled it out. The blood gushing out slowed and
finally stopped as the wound sealed up before his eyes. "If that had been
left there, you would have killed me. All of my blood would have drained
out of me. I can't live without blood, you know."
Harris looked on in fear. This was a vampire that didn't seem like
it could be killed. Ahriman stepped up to Harris and placed his hand on
Harris's chin. Then he moved his grip down to Harris's neck and spun the
boy around.
"Slayer!" Ahriman called out. "Wizard! Look what I have!"
Ty, Tandy and Davey turned around to see Ahriman with his grip on
Harris.
"No," Davey muttered and moved toward Harris.
Tandy reached out and grabbed Davey.
	"Let him go!" Davey yelled.
"I do not wish to bring him harm, young one. But I will if you
force my hand. No more fighting."
The three dropped their stakes and the vampires surrounded them,
grabbing their hands to keep them from attacking.
"This is much better," Ahriman said. "Bring them. We have things
to do."
Ahriman held Harris and flew off into the sky. The vampires
escorted Tandy, Ty and Davey to a waiting van and headed off down the road
to Ahriman's abode.

Blade revved his motorcycle and closed in on the female vampire and
her car. He pulled out his spike shooter that was loaded with silver
stakes and aimed at one of the tires. He fired once and the car swerved.
The silver spike imbedded into the fender missing the wheel.
	"Damn," Blade muttered.
He loaded another spike and gunned his engine. Blade took aim at
the woman's hand and fired. The spike hit her hand and she screamed in
pain. Her hand burst into flame and burned to a crisp. The ashen flesh
fell off leaving a stump of a wrist. Blade grinned to himself for the
small victory.
The vampire swerved the car to try and hit Blade. He swerved to
the left with the car and she turned the wheel back.
"You took my hand!" she screamed.
"If I have to, I'll take you a piece at a time."
The woman glared at him and swerved the car again. Blade slowed
down and she moved in front of him. He took at her head. As he was
aiming, he didn't notice the vampire slam on the brakes. The motorcycle
seemed to lurch forward and he rammed into her trunk so hard he flipped off
the bike and landed on the roof.
"I can kill you just as well from here," he yelled at the woman.
The vampire swerved the car from side to side trying to knock Blade
off. He held on tight, though, pulling out a silver stake and jamming it
into the roof so he had a grip. The woman screamed in anger. Blade
smiled. Then he pulled out a wire with a hook on it and spun it around
throwing it into the windshield. The hook wrapped around the steering
wheel and he took control of steering. He swerved the car from side to
side shaking up the vampire. Then he turned the car into a telephone pole.
The impact knocked him off the roof, but he was ready and turned his body
so he wouldn't hurt himself when he landed. He rolled on the ground and
came up on his feet in a crouching position. He looked up at the car and
the vampire climbed out blood flowing out of a wound on her head.
"You should buckle up," Blade replied.
The vampire stuck up her middle finger of her right, and only,
hand.
"Not that you will be around much longer to do that."
"If I had two hands I'd..."
	"Clap?" Blade completed.
	"I'm going to kill you!"
The vampire leapt at Blade. He grabbed her in mid-air, fell back
and tossed her into the wall. She slumped to the sidewalk and slowly stood
up.
"You got a lot of fight in you."
Blade readied a silver spike in his sleeve. The woman swung her
fist at him. He blocked, pulled the stake out of his sleeve and rammed it
in her chest. She screamed in pain, bust into flame and turned into ash.
Sirens rang out in the distance.
"Must be coming because of the car wreck."
Blade ran back to his motorcycle, started it up and took off back
to the apartment. When he got there, he found Whistler with a grave look
on his face.
"What is it?" Blade asked. "Where's Ty and Tandy?"
Whistler shook his head negatively. "Ahriman has them."
	"How in the hell..."
"He grabbed them in the park. He just sent word by way of
vampire."
"And you let the vampire go?" Blade became even more angry.
	"Not at all."
Whistler walked past Blade toward another room that was seldom
used. He opened the door and the vampire was chained up in front of the
window.
"I figure he can last till dawn. If he's smart he will give us the
information we need. Either way when the morning sun rises to kiss the
day, it can kiss his ass goodbye."
Blade walked up to the vampire who was stripped down to nothing.
Marks of crosses and liquid burns were throughout its body. On a small
table off to the side was a cross and a bottle of holy water.
	"You did this?" Blade asked.
"I had to get information out of him any way I could."
Blade nodded in approval. "I'm starting to like you, Whistler."
	Whistler smiled and nodded.
	Blade turned to the vampire.
"As for you, I want to know what Ahriman wants with my friends."
