This story is fictional and any mention of characters from any fan base is
purely that of my own imagination and does not reflect what the creators
saw for them.The characters that are Marvel Universe belong to Marvel and
the characters that are in the Merry Gentry series of Books are property of
Laurell K Hamilton.


The Marvelous Fae

Chapter 2:

        Flying behind Dolph I realized why he was wearing only a loin
cloth, his wings were huge. The bottom of them stopped right at the top of
the cloth and the top of them reached his shoulders, they seemed to be
translucent until some stray beam of light hit them then it was like seeing
every colour in existence all at once. Heading from Vancouver to L.A.,
where Meredith established the new Court of the Fae took about two and a
half hours. Dolph landed in front of a house that looked like a fairy tale
castle mixed with an old English estate, it was even had a wrap around
driveway with a fountain in the middle and two towers on either side of the
door. This was Maeve Reeds house before Meredith moved in at faerie started
to pop up around it and change it. As soon as I landed Dolph moved towards
the door without a word, so i followed silently holding back every bit of
snark and sarcasm I had in me deciding to leave it for when I finally met
my half sister. We got to about four feet in front of the door when it
opened but there was no one there.

        I continued to follow Dolph further inside all the while be amazed
by all the I was seeing. About every ten feet or so the room around you
changed completely. The size of the room, the decor, inside or outside,
upstairs, downstairs, underground would all change in a blink of an eye. We
got to a set of doors, the first set of doors I have seen since the front
door and Dolph stopped.

"Past these doors is your half-sister Queen Meredith, since this is to be a
formal introduction between the two of you and between you and the rest of
the court I will have to introduce you as far as you are known." Dolph said
turning to me. It looked like he wanted to say more but the doors opened at
the moment. As soon as the doors opened completely all I could smell was
roses which probably came from all the roses growing from the floor to the
ceiling. Dolph walked forward and after a few minutes I followed.

        The moment my foot went into the room every eye in the room was on
me. There was a path towards my half sister on a throne with a harem of men
around her. The path was flanked on both sides by all kinds of Fae but it
seemed as if each side was still sticking to the old courts, Unseelie and
Seelie, which you could tell be the way each side was dressed and by how
when someone was not looking at me they were glaring at someone opposite
them.

"My Queen, may I present to you, your half-brother Prince Patrick
NicEssus." He said walking to the opening of the path right before the
throne and bowing. I walked up next to him and just lowered my head to her
so I looked like I was not challenging her but also showing that as of this
moment I am not one of her subjects.

"I welcome you my brother to the court of Fae." Meredith said standing up
from her elaborate throne of rowan wood carved with roses were the petals
you inlaid with rubies, garnets and other precious red gems. "Everyone may
leave now." She spoke loudly to the room so everyone could hear. One of the
men standing next to her, he looked like night personified. With skin as
dark as the sky with no moon, his hair was in a tight braid that went from
the back of his head all the way down to his ass and his ears were pointed
like most people believe a Fae's ears, also his ears had silver and diamond
studs going from top to bottom. He was wearing head to toe black suit. This
must be Doyle the Queen's Darkness and also one of the fathers of
Meredith's children. The only people left in the room were Dolph, Meredith,
her men and me.

"Brother will you swear that you will not harm anyone in this room or
anyone within my court at while you are here?" Meredith asked me while
Doyle looked at me like I was the biggest threat here.

"Yes, sister I swear that until I leave your court I will not harm anyone
unless they harm me first." I responded to her without taking my eyes off
Doyle.

"See Doyle he does not wish to hurt any of us. Dolph, Doyle, Galen and
Frost stay everyone else leave my brother and I to catch up." Meredith said
to the rest of her men. Once they all left got to see the other two men
that she mentioned. First, Frost was exactly what his name suggested he had
metallic silver hair that was straight and went down to ankles, his skin
was literally white as snow, he wore a perfectly tailored suit that made
him look even more arrogant than his face already did. Then there was Galen
he looked a bit like Dolph except where Dolph looked like he could have
once been a tree Galen looked like he might off once been a grassy
meadow. Galen had green hair the shade of freshly dew grass, his hair was
cut short except for a single long braid that reach his knees, he had a
pale skin that had tinges of green in it. He wore regular looking clothes
in colours that accentuated him.

"So Meredith, sister to what do I owe this pleasure?"

"I am sorry that I have not met you sooner but until recently I did not
even know you existed, but now that you are here I can rectify that and we
can start getting to know each other now." My sister said in such a way
that I knew she was telling the truth but from the faces of the guys around
her I could tell that they would not be opposed to killing me if they felt
it was warranted.

"That does sound lovely but I have been through this before with a Queen of
Fae where an olive branch was offered but then taken away even before I
could think about accepting it."

"Yes, our aunt has vaguely told me about that interaction and has even been
trying to get me to redo to spell that caused all of the Fae to forget you
but I have lost enough loved ones that I am not willing to lose anymore."

"That is very honest of you, I am not use to that from Fae even though they
cannot lie they like to bend the truth as much as possible. How was it that
you were able to track me down?" I asked my sister

"Due to the fact I am the Queen of both courts of Fae I am able to feel
when a person uses their powers and when you used yours earlier today I
could tell it was you because I have felt even other Fae's power before and
your's was new. So I spent the rest of the day in meditation to find you."
She started to move towards me and the smell of roses got stronger and
petals started to fall around her. As she got closer I started to smell
cherry blossoms and noticed the cherry blossom petals falling around me so
I sighed.

"Why do it smell like more than just roses here and what are those petals
falling around Patrick?" Questioned Frost putting his hand on his sword
hilt.

"That is the smell of cherry blossom and so are these petals. It is just my
Goddess saying hello to Meredith's Goddess." I said in a cautious tone wary
that all of my sister's men had at least one hand on a weapon

"Please call me Merry. You are blessed by the Goddess?" Meredith asked.

"It is not the same Goddess as yours and is not technically the same as
your Goddess in the way that my Goddess is a higher life form from another
plane of existence that was and is worshipped as a Goddess here while you
Goddess is the actual embodiment of the Earth and all of its power. Also my
Goddess is my mother." I replied in a very matter of fact tone that seemed
to annoy Doyle and Frost but made Merry, Galen and most important Dolph
smirked in amusement.

"So your mom is a Goddess?" Merry asked

"She is a Goddess the way that the superhero Thor is a God. They are both
otherworldly beings that either are or were once worshipped as Gods on this
planet. Incase you were wondering she is the Japanese Goddess Inari, and
yes that does make me a Kitsune." Just as I had said this the door behind
me was thrown open and in march my aunt Andais.

"What is he doing here I thought I told you niece that he was dangerous and
needed to be forgotten or killed. Did you not hear what he just said he is
a male Kitsune and we all know of the prophecy A male Kitsune that is both
divine and earthly will be the rebirth of the world. So you see he will be
the end of life as we know it." Andais screamed at everyone in the room.

"Hello auntie nice to see after all these years." I said with every amount
of sarcasm in me, while also reminding her that I am her blood and that I
have been alive for a long time.

"Auntie rebirth does not necessarily mean that we will die all it means is
that he will bring a new life to this world." Merry spoke to Andais in a
calming manner.

"Cut the sarcasm Patrick and reminding me that you are my blood is not
really making me want to get rid of you any less. Although you do bring up
an interesting point that you have been around for a few centuries and
nothing you have done has changed our world. So I will go and let Meredith
decide what to do about you." With that Andais turned around and walked out
of the room.

"I am so sorry about the Patrick I should have known that she would come in
here while you were here. I am also sorry but I have to cut this reunion
short because of my pregnancy I cannot stay out of bed for too long so I
will have to say goodbye for now and I hope to see you again soon." Merry
walked to me giving me a hug that felt warm and genuine so I hugged her
back. Cherry blossoms and rose petals started falling and in the corner of
the room in full bloom a Japanese cherry tree appeared.

"Well I take that as a good sign and bid you ado my sister. May your
children be always healthy" I said to her kissing her forehead and placing
a my hand on her belly. Merry turned back to her men and walked to a door
that just appeared from nowhere and went in.

"I will gladly take you back to your house my Prince." Dolph said to my
once again giving me a mischievous smirk.

"I would love that but for today I will take myself home I need some time
alone to think but thank you for the offer." I leaned into him and kissed
him chastely on the lips, I was just starting to pull away when he grabbed
the back of my head and pulled me into the most sensuous, sexual, heat
filled, mind blowing kiss ever.

"Something to remember me by." Dolph said walking away tempting me to
follow for some reason I knew that I needed to get home.

        I flew home as fast as I could not knowing why I had to get there
so fast. I had just gotten in through my balcony doors when I heard a knock
on the door. I went to the door and opened it to see the young X-Men and a
few others. The oldest looking person in the group came to the front.

"Logan said that you could help us?"
