Subject: The Matthew Chronicles - Part 8

Pairings: Matthew Lawrence and an original character Jim, his
agent/husband, other WB celebrities.

Rating: PG-13

Matt and Jim had been practically monogamous since their wedding.  Jim
traveled with Matt to Vancouver to the set of his new movie.  Being his
agent gave him leeway to spend time with his love without raising eyebrows.
If anyone ever found out what went on between breaks in the middle Lawrence
brother's trailer... well after all they were still newlyweds.

Jim sat in Matt's trailer going through his emails and mail he had his
secretary forward to him.  Today was the last day of filming and the two
lovebirds were driving to Tom's house to attend Tom and Mike's Freak of the
Week reunion party.  The Smallville stars got the idea after filming an
episode where many of the guest mutants on the show were scheduled to
appear.  Tom and Mike contacted other former guest stars for their theme
party.  Since their wedding, Matt and Jim had grown very close to Tom and
Mike and had dinner with them as often as they could.

The party coincided with their six-month anniversary.  Jim found a
multitude of emails from Joe, Andy and David, Seth and a few other young
celebrities who knew their secret.  Jim knew that eventually his secret
marriage to Matthew Lawrence couldn't stay hidden forever.  He just hoped
that they could get through a year of wedded bliss before the cat was out
of the bag.

Jim opened an envelope from Tom Welling, which contained the guest list for
the party.  Among the invitees was Shawn Ashmore, Adam Brody who was
currently starring on the OC.  Adam was bringing his costar Benjamin
McKenzie with him.  Eric Olsen was also invited.  Jim knew that he and Matt
had worked together in "The Hot Chick".  He tried not to let his
insecurities surface again since Matt had assured him that after a brief
affair, they were friends and nothing more.  Jonathan Taylor Thomas and
Zachary Ty Bryan had also agreed to attend and Jim was fast getting an idea
of how the party would end.  Hopefully, he thought with a smile, with him
being tied down and serviced by all present.

The arrival of a new email drew Jim back to the present.  It was from Chad
his former associate.  He hadn't had the opportunity to deal with him since
he'd harassed Matt at the WB party months earlier.  He opened the email out
of curiosity and sat mortified at what he saw before him.  In the
attachment was a photo manipulation of Matt in a bridal gown and Jim in
tuxedo.  A mock wedding announcement similar to the kind found in the
society pages heralded the news of their nuptials.  Jim's hands trembled as
he scrolled down and read the menacing words beneath the picture:

SEND YOUR BEAUTIFUL BRIDE TO MY HOTEL ROOM TONIGHT OR BE TOMORROW'S
HEADLINE.

At the bottom of the screen was an address and room number of a seedy hotel
nearby.  Jim heard his beloved approaching the trailer and quickly logged
off his laptop.  'This can't be happening', he thought over and over again.
Matt bounded through the door and pushed the laptop aside, inserting
himself in his husband's lap.

"Mmm, I've missed you", he moaned, peppering Jim's face with kisses.  "I've
got half and hour.  Let's get naked."

"I can't sweetie...sorry...I...I have to make some calls."

Jim nearly dumped younger man on the floor as he scrambled to gather his
things and make a quick exit.

"Honey", Matt cried out "what's going on?"

Jim pulled the muscular brunette into his arms and gave him a brief kiss.

"Nothing.  I'll pick you up tonight and we'll head for Tom's.  Don't be
late."

Before Matt could answer, his beautiful blonde husband was out the door.
Matt flopped into the empty chair and sighed.  Sometimes he found it hard
to understand how Jim's mind worked.  He was often insecure about their
relationship and his looks.  It baffled Matt because Jim was the most
attractive man he knew.  Tom had a secret crush on him and Matt's own
brothers were crazy about him.  His workouts with the Smallville star added
to his sex appeal.  Jim was ripped and Matt enjoyed exploring every curve
of muscle with his hands, teeth and tongue.

'He must have found out that Eric would be at the party', Matt reasoned to
himself.

He decide when he saw his love tonight, he would confront him and prove to
him beyond a shadow of a doubt that he had nothing to worry about.  Having
settled that in his mind, Matt took a quick shower and grabbed a bite to
eat before returning to the set.

'Tonight', he smiled
