Kansas
Chapter 3

"Yes, we are."  TJ responded to my query.

This makes some sense.  I found out in my dimension that my TJ had
feelings for me but when I went on that mission and realized I did have
feelings for Zane and Andros.  Oh, my what am I going to do.  Hmmm seems
that there is one major difference in this dimension.

"Did Zane, you  and I go on a trip back in time ever?"  I asked.

"Not to my knowledge."  Andros replied.

"That's it then."  I said to myself.

"What's it?"  Cassie said.

"Nothing, nothing.  Really."  I said.  I rubbed my eyes.  All this was
so tiring.

"TJ why don't you take Carlos to his quarters.  Let him rest."  Ashley
said.

"Ok."  TJ said grabbing my arm.

I thought about and there is no reason not to at least trust them for
now.  They are essentially the same people I knew just history was
different.  But I wanted so bad to go back with Andros.  This feels so
strange.  Knowing that TJ and I are lovers and though I care for him.  I
can't help feeling that I am betraying Zane and Andros.  I haven't done
anything yet, well in a way I have.  Oh this is so confusing.

"Let's go, TJ"  I said hopping down from the bed.  We started toward our
quarters.  Oh that sounded strange.

"TJ, can I ask you something?"  I asked.

"Sure ask me anything.  Even if you are not my Carlos, I still love
you."  He said stopping to look me in the eyes.

"How long have we been together?  How did we...you know?  Have we?"  I
asked trying to not get personal.

He smiled at me.  "Well it has been about three years.  One day in the
mess hall I told you about my feelings.  You were uneasy.  I didn't push
the issue.  But eventually one thing lead to the other and here we are.
And, oh, let me tell you we have everywhere on this ship."  He said as
the entered their quarters.

"Everywhere?"  I had to chuckle.  "Well Zane and Andros and I have
gotten almost all the ship.  Our favorite is the lifts."

"My Carlos loves the lifts too."  TJ said.  "You know Andros thinks you
are actually my Carlos."

"I sensed that.  But how do you know different."  I asked.

"Like this."  He said advancing on me.  He stepped right up to me and
kissed me deeply.  I never knew that TJ could kiss so good.  For a
second I found myself enjoying it.  My sense of loyalty came through.  I
pushed him off.

I was breathing heavily.  "How would that tell you differently?"

"Well my Carlos could not have resisted."  TJ said.  "He is quite
insatiable."

"That sounds like Zane."  I said.

He kind of looked away suddenly.  "Did I say anything?  If I did sorry."

"No.  It's just that we thought we had gotten past losing Zane.  But I
guess it still hurts."  He said.

"Well if it makes you feel better.  In a way he is still alive."  I said
trying to comfort him.  I had turned around to look at the rest of the
room.

There was a full size bed, a night stand and a dresser.  I could see my
stuff all over the place.  Some pictures of us.  I went over to them and
picked up one.  I was smiling holding him.  There was a building behind
us.  It took me a second to remember what building.

"That was taken on KO-35.  Shortly after the battle.  We were helping
transport the rebels."  He said.  He took the picture and rubbed it
gently.  "That was taken the day you asked me to marry you.  I mean my
Carlos."

"Did you say yes?"  I asked.

"You better believe it."  He said smiling big.  "How did you get
involved with those two?"

"Well I found out that Andros intended on asking me shortly before Zane
came out of cryo-stasis.  When he came out prematurely.  He decided to
wait.  Since he and Zane were already together, he needed to talk to him
first.  I had a suspicion when I noticed that Andros looked at me
differently.  Well they approached me and I initially turned them down.
You should have seen the hurt in their face.  I eventually learned the
reason for the look."

I paused to catch my breath.  "Well I realized after some soul
searching.  Sleepless nights and interesting dreams.  I changed my
mind."  I chuckled.

"What's so funny?"  He asked.

"Well,"  I said.  "We didn't do anything.  We were immediately sent back
in time to help Tommy and well I got more than I bargained for."  I had
to smile at the memory.

"Oh my."  He said.  "When did you decide to get married."

"We waited and well it was the logical thing to do.  That's where I got
this ear cuff.  It is their version of a wedding ring."

"It's beautiful.  It looks old."  He said.

"It is.  I was not the first to have joined in their bond.  There was
another, Tobias.  This was his."  I said mindlessly fingering the cuff.

"What happened?"

"Well he was murdered by Nikkolo.  That is the indirect reason for Zane
winding up in cryo-stasis.  He became careless and was injured.  Andros
was very much affected."  I said.

"Ah.  The reason they reacted the way they did when you turned them down
the first time."  He said.

"Bingo!"  I said.

It was a little disconcerting and strangely I felt guilty.  How am I
gonna get back?  I suddenly felt a pair of arms go around my waist.  I
tensed.  I haven't ever had anyone but Zane and Andros do that.  My back
tensed and I started to shake.

"Oh my I am sorry I forgot.  It has become habit to do that when you are
around."  He said backing off.

"Its ok.  I wanted to do the same thing to Andros.  In a way I needed
the hug."  I said smiling at him.  "I need to lay down for a bit."

I crawled up on one side of the bed.  I heard TJ pull a chair up near
the side of the bed.  He was going to stand watch over me.  How sweet?
This dimensions Carlos is a lucky man.  I wonder what would have
happened between me and TJ if I hadn't met Zane and Andros like I did.
Shortly I fell asleep.  During my rest I dreamt of Andros and Zane, Zane
dying, and Andros in bed with Ash.  It was very disturbing.  I felt an
finger rubbing my arm.  I knew it must be TJ.  I woke slowly and turned
my head.  TJ was asleep beside me.  One hand on my shoulder the other
around my waist.  Oh well.  I was too tired to mess with it.  I turned
back over and went back to sleep.

TJ laid there admiring his lover.  Well it wasn't necessarily his
lover.  But and exact replica from another dimension where they were not
together.  Zane and Andros were with him. He wondered what I would be
like having two people in the relationship.   A twinge of jealousy came
over him.  He batted it down.
TJ wondered what it would be like to have Zane back.  It was hard on all
the rangers when he died especially Andros.  He looked back at the
sleeping Carlos.  He was so beautiful laying there.  Mindlessly, TJ
started stroking his hair.  Suddenly a noise from the door caught his
attention.  The door opened and deposited his Carlos.

He gasped as he looked at the door.  "Carlos--"

"Yes love."  He said at first before he spied somebody laying beside his
lover.  " What in the hell is going on?  Who is this?"  He said as he
finished coming in the door and walked over to the bed.

"Oh my."  TJ said as he ran and gave that Carlos one of the longest
kisses known to man.

The new Carlos grabbed TJ by the shoulders and looked him in the eye.
"Who is this in bed with you?"

TJ gave him a cock eyed grin.  "You."

"What?"  Carlos said.

"Carlos, this is Carlos ... you."  He said pointing at Carlos.  "He came
over from another dimension.  I know that now.  I actually thought it
was you with memory problems or something but I guess its true."  TJ
said looking at the sleeping Carlos.

"I'll explain later.  I missed you so much."  He said wrapping his arms
around Carlos' neck.

"I missed you."  Carlos said planting a deep kiss on TJ.

Carlos' tongue slithered in and out of TJ's mouth.  Carlos moaned lowly
and then remembered that they had company.  He needed TJ now.  He
couldn't wait.  He ran his hand down TJ well muscled chest.  TJ still
wore the skin tight blue jumpsuit that just got Carlos hot.  TJ had his
hand slowly massaging Carlos ample ass.  And the other unbuttoning
Carlos' shirt.  They were grinding into each other.  TJ slowly began to
kiss Carlos behind the ear, licking him down the length of his throat,
down his chest to his navel.  He began to unbutton his pants to expose
the object of his desire.  TJ swallowed all of Carlos' uncut cock.
Carlos wanted to moan but bit his lip.  Carlos looked down at TJ, his

Carlos reached down to guide TJ up and turning him around.  Carlos

The sound of the shower woke me.  I turned over and noticed that TJ was

start thinking how to get back to my own world.  I moved over to a table
and sat in a low chair.  What was I going to do?  I could try to find
the Billy of this time and see if he can help but that is a long shot
with the numerous differences here.  I heard the door to the bathroom
open.  I turned around and nearly fainted at what I saw.  There was TJ
completely naked.  And I never realized how beautiful he was.  And me
there also naked.

"Ah.  Your up."  TJ said.

I must have had a dumb founded look on my face.  "Oh my. Uh, Carlos meet
my Carlos."

"Oh and from the looks of it so are you."  I said pointing at TJ.  He
looked down and quickly wrapped the towel around him.  "I never expected
to see my counterpart.  This is real awkward and strange."  I got up and
went to stand in front of him.  I chuckled.  "I am cute."

We laughed at that.  "I need to get back to my own world.  I am out of
place here.  And I miss Zane and Andros.  That is my Andros."

"Zane?"  The other Carlos asked.

"Yeah.  In his world," TJ pointed at me.  "Zane is alive and well.
Zane, Andros, and you.  I mean him are together.  You and I aren't."

"The three of you ... me."  He said trying to believe it.

"Well actually we are married."  I threw that in too.

"Married!  This is too much."  He said shaking his head.

"I was surprised when TJ told me we were together.  In my time I know
that TJ had feelings for me but things went a little different."  I
explained pacing back and forth.

"Don't worry we will find a way to get you back.  I know how I would
feel if I was whisked away from TJ here."  The other Carlos said
sincerely as he looked at TJ.

"You three together.  There must have been a story there."  He said.

"You better believe it."  TJ said.

I sat down on the bed and leaned back.  I closed my eyes and focused on
the flame that was Andros.  It provided some comfort.  But the place
where Zane's was seemed like a void.  I can't dwell on it  I will get
back one way or the other.  Suddenly I felt something strange.  I sat up
with a start.

"What's wrong?"  The other Carlos asked.

"I don't know.  I felt something."  I said as I concentrated harder.
All of a sudden the flame that was Zane burned bright.  Joy filled my
heart.  "It's Zane.  He is here.  They must have found a way to send him
after me."

But there was another presence.  "He brought someone with him.  It's not
Andros.  Its ... Tommy.  Hmm, I wonder why."

They were looking at each other in disbelief.  "You know that would be
so neat to be able to have that intimate of a bond."  TJ said.

"Yes it would."  The other Carlos added.

"You do in a way.  It may not be a mental or psychic bond but a bond
none the less."  I said comforting them.  "Let's go to the bridge and
see if we can find them."

We left the quarters and headed for the Bridge.  I never considered that
it would be such a shock to see two Carlos' until I saw the rest of the
rangers expressions.  They were tripping over their jaws.  I had to
laugh when I saw them.  It really was a shock but who knew what was
going through their minds.

"Carlos."  Andros said.  "Carlos."  He said looking at me.

"Yep two of us.  You thought one was enough."  The other Carlos said
slyly.

Cassie shook her head.  "We could barely handle one of ya."

Ash just sat in her chair.

"Well you may only have to deal with two of us for a short time.  I just
sensed my rescue squad."  I said.

"What do you mean sensed?"  Cassie asked.

I just grinned.  I keep forgetting they don't know.  "Zane, Andros and I
share a common bond.  A psychic one if you will.  We sense each others
thoughts, feelings, and whereabouts.  And I sensed them enter this
dimension."

"That sounds neat.  I bet it is very intimate."  Ash commented looking
at Andros.

I felt myself bristle.  I can't get used to that.  Her looking at him
like that.  "It is.  No secrets, no lies.  But there is a consequence."

"What is that?"  TJ asked.

"Well--" I paused a second remembering the day Zane disappeared.  "Well
I learned the hard way.  Zane was with the rebels one minute and woke up
another in a dimension ruled by Nikkolo.  Well when he left this
dimension, it was as if he died.  Andros and I nearly died when the
severing of the bond was unexpected.  Luckily I was human and it did not
affect as strongly.  We were lucky to get him back.  A severed bond
would kill a bond-mate."  I took a pause to calm myself.  "I was a
little surprised that it didn't happen this time when I wound up here."

Andros looked thoughtful for a second.  "I think I can explain.  Part of
the reason is I am here and you are not truly as far away from your own
dimension as with Nikkolo's.  We have experience with him too."

"Well just a few minutes ago I felt them enter this realm."  I closed my
eyes.  "They should be here any time."

The world bent and swirled.  No completeness.  No nothing.  And wham!
Light blinded them.  They could smell grass and flowers.  They must have
arrived.  Zane opened his eyes.  They were in Angel Grove.  Looks the
same.  Smells the same.  Zane stood up and remembered his traveling
partner.  Tommy sat to the side shaking his head.

"You ok."  Zane asked.

"Yeah I think."  Tommy answered standing up.  He looked around.  "Are
you sure we are in the other dimension?"

"I think so."  Zane said.  "Can you sense him?"

Tommy calmed himself.  "Only lightly.  I sense Andros...you...and two
others!"

"Two others!"  Zane closed his eyes.  "Your right.  I have found Andros
which is strange.  Oh no it isn't.  There must be an Andros here.  But
it is different, he is different..  And Carlos."  He said slowly.  "But
the other...it is familiar.  It couldn't be."

"Just as there is another Andros there must have been another Carlos."
Tommy said.

"Well let's go find him and get him back."  Zane said.  "Now where would
he be."

"The only place he would go."  Tommy said.  "The ship."

Zane lead the way.  He moved with deliberation.  They did not have much
time.  He looked at his watch.  It was five o'clock.  That means five
hours left.  Zane knew that life would be too different and lonely
without Andros and  Carlos.  After the ordeal with Nikkolo he could not
have made it without their determination.  He remembered Carlos dragging
them out while throwing Nikkolo all over the place.

Tommy must have picked up on the image in my mind.  "He did what?"

"Carlos and Andros came after me when I was kidnapped.  Andros collapsed
from the stress of the bond and other things."  Zane remembered Tobias.
Holding him as his life left him.  He shook his head.

"Well Carlos was enraged.  He tossed Nikkolo around like a rag doll."
Zane smiled proudly.  "He also managed to carry both Andros and I out.
Thus saving us all."

"You must loved them very much.  Like I do Jason.  I would walk through
all Rita and Zedds forces for him."  Tommy said remembering how many
times Jason came back for him.

"Yes, I love Andros and Carlos a lot.  With all my heart."  Zane said.
"But I do have to smile at the sight of Carlos mangling Nikkolo."

"Can I ask you something personal?"  Tommy looked over at Zane.

"Sure ask a way.  You know in a way you are a bond-mate too."  Zane
said.

"I don't know if Jason would like that idea."  Tommy chuckled.  "Well
anyway.  What happened to Tobias?  You mentioned him before and got
extremely sad.  All of you."

Zane blanched and stopped.

"I am sorry.  If it... You don't have to answer."  Tommy said apologizing.

"No, it's ok.  Tobias..." He sighed.  "Was our first bond-mate.   We
were so happy life was great.  Till one day we first met up with
Nikkolo.  Tobias was infected with the spore.  He refused to give it to
us.  He later died from it.  A few months later, I was injured and
Andros had to place me in cryo-stasis while I healed.  Andros nearly
went crazy."  He explained.

"Damn."  Tommy said.  "I nearly died from it too.  But I was lucky."

"I take it that he really gave you an awful time."  Zane said.

"Yeah.  I was infected with the spore.  And it took all the rangers to
keep me from succumbing."  Tommy said.

"How did you get the spore out?"  The minute he asked, he knew he
shouldn't have asked.

Tommy looked at him and his face contorted.  Zane felt a flash of the
memory.  It was filled with pain, humiliation, and hurt.  "You don't
have to say anything.  I know.  I saw it."

"Lets continue and get him back." Was all Tommy said.

They headed on.  Soon they saw the ship in the distance.  The closer
they got the stronger the bond was.  When they got to the landing bay,
it opened as Zane approached like always.  They moved through the halls
easily.  They stopped in front of the quarters they shared.  The door
was locked.  Zane supplied the code.  What he ran into was a shock.
There was woman's clothes strung everywhere.  Zane was taken aback.
Things were really different here.  He knew to expect some differences.
But he had to prepare himself for anything.  Zane heard something out in
the hallway.  For a split second he got a flash from his Carlos to wait
a second before coming out.

"Zane, we have company."  Tommy said as he walked out into the hallway.
