Subject: Mutant Lover 4

It's been a long time since I last posted. Some people e-mailed me and I
told them what was happening. My computer was stolen and it took me some
time to get the money for a new one. To tell the true I think this is one
of the hardest chapter to write because it has OCs as the main
characters. Next chapter shouldn't take too long.

This story is a figment of my imagination using characters and settings of
the x-men series which is owned by Marvel. If you have any problem with the
mention of homosexuality or are under age in your residing area to see
mature content please resign from reading this story. If you do not heed
this warning neither the author nor the site is to be responsible for any
act against you by the law or your conscience.

This Chapter has been edited by Nightlit, whom I thank greatly for his
patience and help.

Suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated.

A Mutant Lover IV

The heat was unbearable, I felt sticky, sweaty, and uncomfortable. A noise
was growing clearer, New York traffic, but there was still a small sound
that didn't fit, like a tinkle every few seconds. I slowly opened my eyes
to see little blue lights falling from someone's hand on my head. I tried
to sit up but the guy pushed me back down.

"Now, now, my little puppet, you've still have yet to turn into a real
boy," the guy said. I could see him better now and was surprised at his
appearance. Blue hair and eyes, glowing white skin, and elf like features.

"What's going on?" I asked still a bit dazed.

"I'm healing you, my little lug head," the guy answered smiling, "I'm the
Blue Fairy, my little Pinocchio."

"Dad, I'm pretty sure he hasn't heard of you." I looked behind the Blue
Fairy to see the same guy that found out about me and Bobby. "Wally's
asleep in another room." He said. There was silence for a minute and he
moved to leave.

"You never told me your name," I told him.

"His name is Peter," answered the Blue Fairy for him. "What's yours?"

"Ethan." After that Peter left the room, without a word.

"Don't worry about him," said the Blue Fairy, "he's just feeling guilty
about what happened to you." I sighed and closed my eyes. I suppressed the
desire to cry out in anger with tears in my eyes that he ruined what little
I had. Yet the truth would not let me, my relationship was decaying because
of Bobby's fear. Then again, I guess I really didn't do any good by just
giving him space. "So, how do you feel about him now?"

"It isn't his fault..." I answered without thinking.

"I meant about your ice prince or at least I hope you're not forgiven him
yet," he interrupted me.

"I don't know..."

"Care to elaborate?"

"How can you stop from loving someone from one day to the other?"

"You don't," he answered, "you work through your problems with him and if
you're not meant to be, well, at least you'll find closure."

"You make it sound like we had a simple lover's quarrel, he froze my
freaking arm!!!" I spat in anger. I tried to get up once again and he
forced me back down. "That little outburst, my little puppet, just told me
that you still see him as a human and that's a mistake." He sighted and
relaxed. "As much as we want equal rights you just can't ignore the things
we can do, it would be foolish. A mutant's power is like any other part of
his body and as such it's very much influenced by emotions. Remember, even
a grown man can cry." I tried to object to his justification of Bobby's
actions but he continued. "I'm not trying to justify him, but I can't tell
you how many times Peter has sent me flying in a fit of anger." "I don't
know how to deal with that," I told him, "I can't re-grow an arm." "Life
is not a fairy tale..." he said. The fairy boy beside me started to change,
the skin lost its glow as it grew older, eyes became tired and brown, and
the hair turned brown and white as it shortened. "...No matter how much you
wish it."

"Is this how you really look?" I asked surprised.

"Shape shifting, one of my many talents derived from my ability to control
every cell in my body. Nice little power, don't you think?" I only
nodded. "Imagine all the possibilities for both good and evil. The same way
I'm sending these cells to replace your frozen ones I could send them to
take over your brain or something like that."

"Who are you, really?"

"Joshua Hetherford," he answered. I recognized the name immediately.

"Jason's father..."

"You know my oldest?" he asked surprised.

"Yeah," I answered, "we're friends from our earlier years of college. I
haven't seen him since he went to California for his Master's degree." He
laughed and shed a tear of joy.

"More like going after his boyfriend really," said Joshua. "So you must be
his little bird project he talked about." I blushed at the mention of
that. Jason used to set me up in blind dates, until he went to California,
then I met Bobby. He mentioned his father and brother, but worse was the
fate that he had to suffer under the hand of his mother's family. Joshua
must have noticed the shadow pass over my face. "He told you about it,
didn't he?"

"Yes..."

"Then let me fill in the blanks." I knew there were things that were left
out and it appears it was the fact that both Joshua and Peter were
mutants. "I lived my life hiding the fact that I preferred men over
woman. My parents, people of money, already had a wife in line for me, one
from a family full of connections. As a teenager I discovered my ability to
shape shift and used it to find my own pleasure. If there was one good
thing that came out of my marriage, it was my two boys. It was Peter that
first noticed what was happening to Jason. His powers were starting to
surface and he was getting a lot of pain and confusion from Jason."

"That's how you first found out," I figured and he nodded.

"We probably would have never found out if Peter hadn't sensed it. I
followed Jason to the house of one of his uncles and what I saw them do to
him was something I would ever wish another father to witness." He held
back a sob. "What made Jason keep his silence was the danger of something
happening to Peter. You don't know how hard it was not to go in and kill
the lot of them but my sons needed me out of prison. I waited for Jason's
return, I took him to the hospital I administrated, and filed for a
divorced." He laughed for a second and continued. "The woman sided with her
family even after it was proven what they had done to my son, he still had
their cum from earlier."

"So far I know," I told him.

"What you probably didn't know was that Jason tested positive for
AIDS. Through the case his health quickly deteriorated. What really closed
the case was an outburst from one of those fools when they were told of the
infection."

"It can't be... he looks just fine..."

"That's when the Blue Fairy made his first appearance." He changed back to
his fairy like appearance. "Imagine been condemned to death and in the
middle of the night a thing out of books appear before you, what would you
think?"

"Death..." I said and he nodded.

"I smiled at him like when he was a child and asked a question. Yet inside
I was weeping that my boy thought I was here to harm him. I told him he was
a good and courageous man, and that through the wishes of his father and
brother he shall be healed." He laughed and continued. "He asked me if I
was related to Pinocchio's Blue Fairy. I told him she was my fag hag." I
laughed at his remark. I started to get some feeling in my arm and the
little blue light stopped falling on me. "All done."

"Thank you," I told him. I tried to organize my thoughts and ask what I
wanted to know. "Will this... Will this happen every time we have a fight?"

"I don't know," he said seriously, "it will depend on him." The door slowly
opened and Wally looked inside. I smiled at him and waved at him with my
healed arm. He grinned as he ran towards me and jumped on me.

"What time is it?" asked the yawning boy. I looked in my watch only to
notice it didn't work. We both looked at the Blue Fairy and he took out a
cell phone.

"It's almost 5 in the afternoon," he said, "It's been over a day since the
whole incident." Wally let me get up and sat beside me.

"The Professor should be back by now," Wally mentioned, "I wonder how
everyone's doing at the manor." There was a knock at the door and Peter
came in with Betsy Braddock behind him. I could tell she was analyzing me
with her eyes, like she was searching for something.

"Is this your doing?" she asked Wally. He only shook his head no.

"The Professor did," he answered. I didn't understand what they were
talking about and it was starting to bother me. "He did it so no one would
mess around with him." She nodded in understanding and set her gaze back on
me.

"I understand if you feel some... hesitation in returning to the Institute.
We need you there at the moment. I ask you to see the situation before
taking your leave. Bobby needs all the help we can get him." That last bit
of information sent a shiver down my spine. I only nodded and hoped
everything would turn out alright.
