Subject: HArry Potter-Return of the King Chapter 13A

A/N: Sorry for the long delay everyone, but between real life and then
having an accident which left me without the use of my dominant arm for
awhile. So as I hit my stride again I am not going to make you wait for the
next chapter, instead I am giving you the first half now and the rest
around Christmas or so with the final sometime after Christmas.

			Chapter 13

In a remote wooded area of Romania, an area where all the animals had fled
hours ago when they felt the dark presence enter, fifteen teens hung upside
down covered in ancient dark runes as their life force slipped away only to
be caught and redirected by the spell circle that enclosed the unwilling
participants.

A white mist rose from the runes under the teens and as their souls left
their tortured bodies to start the trip to the afterlife, the mist seized
the souls and in the process of destroying them released a beam of pure
magic directed at Dumbledore.

'Excipio merge suum navitas ut mei' came from Dumbledore as he slowly faced
each of the dying individuals in turn.

Dumbledore stood in the middle of the black spell circle his body shivering
in ecstasy as the power he had stolen from his unwilling participants
flowed into his body.

As the black magic ritual finished Dumbledore let out a satisfied sigh
contemplating which he enjoyed more, the feeling he received from the
merging of the stolen magic or the feeling of violating a virgin for the
first time.

Raising his wand he cast a spell destroying the runes inscribed on the
ground under the now dead teens.

"Ahhhh..." Dumbledore yelled out in anger as he felt the carefully stolen
power diminish slightly. The ritual had failed, like the others before; the
power he had stolen was only temporary, once used it was gone.

Summoning the Necronomicon that he had found he turned the pages made out
of skin of muggle infants until he found the ritual he had just performed.

Slamming the book closed he realized that he had made a translation mistake
and his sacrifices had to hold a degree of magic that only High Elves...

That's it Dumbledore thought to himself I need to use High Elves in the
ritual to be able to enlarge my magical core, but how when all the High
Elves are centered around Potters ancestral castle?

How would he be able to capture enough of them, when he was not able to
even get near the blasted place?

"It is past time I walked the road that others before me have. It is time
to gather followers" Dumbledore spoke aloud.

Turning he walked out of the ritual circle before Apparating towards the
area he remembered Durmstrang being in.

Thus the first Black Sorcerer was born.

Harry stalked towards the hole in the atrium his magic swirling around him
quite visible for all to see.

As he neared the hole in the ceiling he started to rise as if he was
walking up invisible steps towards the gaping hole in the ceiling.

As Ar'Ron gave orders for the healers to start search and recovery before
turning and running after his soul mate, the feelings he felt through their
bond were too close to what he had once felt himself after the torture and
death of his fathers.

Picking up speed he knelt under the opening in the ceiling crouched down,
gathering his magic he pushed off from the floor and jumped through the
hole in the ceiling landing on the ground outside.

Seeing a virtual tornado of magic swirling around Harry, Ar'Ron muttered
"Bloody Hell."

Standing up, Ar'Ron took off running knowing that the only chance to stop
Harry from destroying everything in his berserker rage was to siphon off
some of the magic through their bond.

Colonel Marshal looked up from his position on the ground to see the most
frightening sight in his life. Walking towards him was a man that had this
energy swirling around him and he could feel the anger rolling off of the
man like a physical force.

Ar'Ron quickly caught up to Harry and preparing himself for what had to be
done plunged his hands into the swirling vortex of magic surrounding his
soul mate and started to pull it into his being

Kingsley and Dargoth watched in awe as Ar'Ron plunged his hands into the
magical energy swirling around Harry. His crown becoming as bright as the
evening stars as he fell to his knees drawing the mass of magic from around
Harry into his own body before pointing one of his hands toward the jagged
hole in the ground and a beam of solid white shot from his hand towards the
hole closing it as if the explosion never happened.

"Sleep Mel'Anin" Ar'Ron's voice could be heard soothing Harry as he
stumbled and then limply fell into the arms of his soul mate.

Cradling his love as he stood up Ar'Ron looked towards Kingsley and Dargoth
and said, "You two are in charge, make sure all the prisoners are taken to
holding cells in the castle, have the mind healers sift through their
minds, I want to have a complete listing of each of the bloody gits that
targeted the children, they will be tried and then executed, the others we
will let their queen decide their fate"

Turning away from the two Guard Commanders Ar'Ron and Harry shimmered from
sight as they used an Elvin Traveling technique to slide directly into the
center of the sacred glade.

Draco had searched all over the castle after returning from the old
ministry building with the wounded and had finally ended up outside the
sacred glade in his search for Harry.

Draco shivered, remembering the anger on his lord's face as he floated up
through the hole in the ceiling of the Atrium after the battle; he never
wanted to see that anger directed at him, he pitied the fool that angered
his lord so.

Sighing he once again tried to walk towards the wooded glade only to be
pushed back by an invisible barrier.

Ar'Ron walked up behind the young man and placed his hand on his
shoulder. "Draco only True Elves can enter the glade, why do you risk your
very being in trying to enter?"

Startled Draco turned towards the voice in surprise. "Merlin, you scared
the life out of me"

Removing his hand Ar'Ron chuckled, "Why are you here?" he asked he watched
the young man closely.

Shifting slightly Draco replied, "I need to find Harry, I found out
something that he should hear about right away."

Placing his hand on the invisible barrier around the glade Ar'Ron frowned
slightly before his attention returned to the young man in front of him.

Sighing he said, "Harry will be in the glade for several days immersed in a
pool of magic, can it wait until he returns?"

Draco started to panic slightly fearing that the one person who believed in
him, his first true friend, the one he looked up at and tried to mold
himself after was hurt in the battle.

Seeing the panicky look cross Draco's face Ar'Ron quickly spoke up, "Harry
is not injured; he just needs time...to calm down."

Seeing the fearful look turn to a questioning one Ar'Ron explained, "Elves
do not handle the death of children well and for true elves it is even
worse."

Looking towards the glade he said softly, "The rage Harry found himself in
he could have killed with one look."

Thinking about what he was told Draco decided to tell Ar'Ron what he had
seen, "After returning with the wounded, while looking for Harry I found
the heir to the muggle throne in the third floor sitting room with my
mother."

Seeing he had Ar'Ron's full attention he continued, "The thing is that when
he picked up my mothers wand to hand it to her, sparks shot out the end."

Ar'Ron blinked as what Draco had just told him set in. Talking softly out
loud he said, "So the treaty has been broken intentionally."

"Are the two muggles still in the castle then?" Ar'Ron asked.

"They should be, I left them with my mother not that long ago" Draco
answered.

Making his decision Ar'Ron called out, "Minky, can you come here please."

The Impare' popped in and with a curtsey, "Majesty calls his Minky."

With a smile on his face at the little Impare's possessive speech patterns
Ar'Ron said "Minky if you would go gather the rest of the council and tell
them to meet me in the hall of judgment as soon as they are able."

Minky nodded her head before she popped out saying, "Minky does as Majesty
asks."

"Walk with me Draco" Ar'Ron told the young man as he gave the barrier
around the glade one last touch.

Walking back towards the entrance tunnel that led to the different habitat
domes, Ar'Ron finally spoke up as they entered the tunnel, giving him
instructions on finding the muggle royals and then bringing them to the
room of judgment in an hour.

After splitting up once they entered the palace Ar'Ron quickly walked down
the steps from the family side of the palace into the grand entry and out
the portal towards the steps leading to the hallway to the entry hall to
Potter Castle.

Entering the great entry Ar'Ron stopped briefly and seeing that everyone
was going about their business oblivious to the attack that had happened
earlier in the day.

Nodding as he walked past Percy Ar'Ron entered the hall to see Steven and
the others already gathered at the large table going over reports, most
likely from the events of that morning.

Steven looked up from the scroll he was reading on dark rituals involving
young male children to see Ar'Ron striding into the room with a sour
expression on his face. Getting Frank and Mario's attention the three
watched Ar'Ron stop in front of the table.

"From the expression on your face, I assume that the news you bring is not
good" Frank told Ar'Ron.

Sighing Ar'Ron conjured a chair and sat down before replying, "It seems
that the young prince, the heir to the muggle throne has his magic."

Stunned the others sat down and looked at each other trying to decide if
this opened another front complicating the war with Voldermort.

"So the treaty has been broken willingly" Mario said softly.

"What does Lord Potter want us to do?" asked Frank.

"Unfortunately Harry does not know about this yet" Ar'Ron said.

Seeing the looks on the others faces he quickly explained, "At the moment
Harry is in the sacred glade getting his rage under control. It seems that
he has inherited the temper of True Elves."

"There has been only two times when one of us has let go of the berserker
rage we are capable of. My father and I are the only ones to ever really
let it loose" Ar'Ron said absent mindedly lost for a moment in the
memory. "When father lost his control the Dinosaurs were exterminated."

Shocked at the power of the True Elves, yet curious Steven asked, "What
happened when you lost your control?"

With a sad smile that was more of a grimace Ar'Ron said, "My fathers and I
were traveling to a side realm when they were captured and consumed alive
in a ritual to capture their magic. The moment the crown appeared on my
head I knew for the first time that we could die. That knowledge at the
moment of loosing my parents...the rage took over and every living thing in
that realm died as my magic freed by the berserker rage reached out and
destroyed everything it touched."

Looking at each one of the shocked and horrified faces Ar'Ron said softly,
"There is a very good reason why we once were considered gods. What can be
brought to life with a thought, can be destroyed with a thought."

Visibly shaken by this revelation Frank whispered "How close...How close
did Harry come to loosing control?"

Staring at the frightened man for a moment Ar'Ron calmed them by saying, "I
recognized the anger building in Harry and took steps to calm him. Right
now and for the next few days Magic itself is teaching him how to control
his power so that even if he looses his temper he will not loose control of
his magic."

Mario stated the obvious, "So this new information has to be handled by us
as we don't want to add to the anger problem."

The three looked at each other briefly before turning back towards Ar'Ron.

"Your Majesty what is your wish in this matter" Steven said formerly.

"Why are you asking me...?" Ar'Ron started.

Smirking Frank said, "Please your Majesty, Harry told us where to find the
records that explained how each of the magical races were to be ruled by a
prince and then they in turned were governed by the King of Magic."

"Plus you are Harry's soul mate and through your link to each other you
should know what he would want done" Marco added.

Chuckling slightly, "True, but still it is his decision to make." Then
turning serious Ar'Ron said, "I think that the most we should do is to
inform the rulers of Britannia that the treaty has been broken
intentionally by the father of the heir and a decision will be forthcoming
after time to reflect with a calm rational head."

Voice turning cold Ar'Ron finished, "They should also be reminded that
their influence stops at the old boundaries of the treaty. The areas that
the Potters have ruled for centuries, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and the
surrounds once again are under direct rule of the current Lord Potter."

Seeing the others slowly nod their heads as they thought about what had
been said they then began to discuss different scenarios to deal with the
errant royalty deciding finally on a plan of action that left the most room
for Harry to make the best decision possible.

Draco's thoughts were on the kiss that he and Ben Wilder shared last
night. It felt so right. He found that he felt complete by being in the
others presence.

Shaking his head he focused once again on the here and now as he entered
the hall of judgment with the muggle royals following him.

Stopping with a slight bow a few meters from the table Draco bowed
slightly, "My Lords, Majesty the muggle royals as you requested."

"Thank you Draco for taking time away from your studies to deal with this
for us" Frank said with a smile to let Draco know that he was being formal
because of the royals being present.

"Draco may I suggest that you meet up with Severus and both of you study up
on fire walls before class on Friday" Ar'Ron told the lad and smiled at the
shocked look and then the pride that washed over his face.

Standing taller if possible Draco said, "Yes sir" before turning and
walking out of the hall, in a hurry to get back to school and let the
potions master know of the good news.

In the silence that followed Charles was uncomfortable with the looks of
anger and disgust in the eyes of the council members. Though looking
towards the king he was more frightened to see nothing but a cold
unreadable emptiness coming from him.

William sensing the discomfort coming from his father broke the silence, "I
had hoped that we would get the information to you in time to prevent a
tragedy from occurring, but seeing the looks on your faces at this moment I
do not think we were successful."

With a small internal sigh Ar'Ron answered, "Unfortunately the attack was
well under way when we arrived. The truly disastrous part was that the
building was full of children visiting their parents work."

Charles face paled as he realized for the first time that wars were started
over less than what had happened that day on both sides.

"I am sorry. Your men upheld the treaty earlier this morning and saved my
brothers and my life and this is not how you should be thanked" William
sighed.

As Ar'Ron was about to reply a glowing book appeared in front of them and
settled down onto a pulsing podium near the table.

All eyes turned from the glowing book when they heard the older royal
whisper in shock "NO."

"Father" William asked hesitantly.

"I thought the treaty was just an archaic tradition not to be taken
seriously" a very pale sweating prince faltered out.

"What have you done?" William asked in fear.

"He intentionally broke the treaty when it came time for him to sign it and
sacrifice the magic of his unborn heirs" Ar'Ron explained unemotionally.

"The treaty is broken and our people are to be banished then" William said
in defeat.

"Yes and no" Replied Ar'Ron.

"The treaty is broken and until one of us touches the podium the penalty
will not be carried out" Ar'Ron told them.

"You and most likely your brother are magical Prince William as such tutors
will be provided to help you control you magic" Frank told the stunned lad.

"Before you leave to inform your queen what has happened there is one more
point you should be made aware of" Steven said.

"Lord Potter will once again take up the rightful rule of the people of the
isle outside of Britannia as outlined in the treaty. Muggle and magical"
Frank told them.

Ar'Ron waved his hand and a silver rod appeared floating in front of the
two royals "When both of you place your hand on this rod it will take you
back to your palace. Also on Sunday next it will bring you" pointing to
William "And the queen back to this room where it will be decided what to
do about the treaty."

Charles watched with hesitation as his son picked the rod up from where it
was floating and offer the other end for him to grab onto. With one last
look around the room he touched the rod and felt a tug in his middle as he
was pulled out of the castle.

As the two royals were port-keyed away the others stared at the pulsing and
glowing book lost in thought.

Ar'Ron watched as the afternoon class filed into the room taking their
seats in silence as they noticed that Harry was not there to teach them.

Sitting in her seat Hermione looked around and noticed that Harry was not
in the classroom. Instead the Elven King was sitting behind Harry's desk.

Seeing that no one else was going to ask Hermione cleared her throat,
"Excuse me but where is Harry?"

Looking up from the notes Harry had left on where the class was in their
defense training he frowned at Hermione's question.

Staring at the young lady until she fidgeted, "Miss Granger, Lord Potter is
going to be busy the next couple of days with matters of state and I will
be covering his classes until he returns" Ar'Ron told her.

Seeing that she was about to speak again Ar'Ron said, "Anything else is
really none of your business Miss Granger, as you are here to be learn
defense and not to socialize on the personal lives of your professors."

'Humph' Hermione muttered as she settled back in her seat arms folded
across her chest.

With one last look in Hermione's direction Ar'Ron stood up and walked in
front of the desk and sat down on the edge. "According to the notes left,
today is the day that you were to start on the Patronus Charm."

Standing up and walking towards the windows Ar'Ron asked, "Can anyone tell
me what the incantation is and when the charm is used?"

Behind his back half the students raised their hands; all of them part of
the DA last year

"Mr. Boot" Ar'Ron called out

"Yes sir the incantation is Expecto Patronum and it is used to repel
Dementors" Terry answered.

"Quite right Mr. Boots, Miss Abbott anything else to add?" Ar'Ron asked
still looking out the window.

"Um...You have to concentrate on a happy thought to make the charm work"
Hannah said timidly.

Turning back to face the class with a smile on his face Ar'Ron said, "Very
good, that is what I was hoping someone would say."

Seeing the looks of confusion he said, "Emotional magic is very advanced
and is not usually brought up until seventh year, and then only briefly
touched on as a way to increase the power of your spells when in fact it
should be its own separate branch of study."

Hermione sat there stunned by what she just heard before speaking up, "Why
is there nothing in the library about this then?"

With a sad smile on his face Ar'Ron turned and answered Hermione's
question, "Not everything is written down in book form, and not everything
written in a book is correct or truthful."

Turning away from the horrified witch to walk back to sit down on the
corner of the desk Ar'Ron continued, "In a controlled environment like a
classroom it is easy to take time to think of a happy thought and maybe
produce a silver mist that might or might not affect a Dementor.

Now if you can bring up a happy memory and capture the moment, by which I
mean capture the feeling of happiness, you might be able to produce a
Corporal Patronus which will drive away a Dementor or Lethifold.

It is not enough to just think the happy memory while you are casting the
Patronus, you must be able to relive the moment of happiness to make it
work.

There is a third from of the Patronus which will destroy a Dementor using
emotional magic, but until you take the Mages Oath you will not be taught
this.

Now before we break up and start practicing, for homework I want at least
one foot of parchment on the Patronus Charm, describe why emotional magic
is essential for this spell to work and situations that the spell would be
useful beside driving away a Dementor or Lethifold."

Seeing the look on Hermione's face Ar'Ron added, "Several books have been
made available on Emotional Magic; see Madam Pince to use a copy, though I
must tell you that you will not be allowed to remove them from the
library."

Seeing that everyone had put their things away Ar'Ron asked them to stand
and banished their desks to the far side of the room so they had room to
practice.

After an hour of hard work Hermione was collecting her pack not sure what
to make of the lesson, on one hand she learned new things she never even
had thought of, on the other she was still upset that he did not give her
the information she wanted on where Harry was. Deciding to try once more
she turned to walk to the front when she was interrupted from behind.

"Leave it alone Granger" Drawled Draco as he entered the room and noticed
her expression.

Turning quickly Hermione spat out, "What do you want Malfoy?"

"Are you purposely being insulting or do you have a memory problem?" Draco
scowled at Hermione. "The Malfoy line is dead, I am Draco Black."

Not giving the startled witch time to respond Draco continued, "What right
do you have to demand anything about Harry. You are not his keeper you
know. While he is your friend he is also your professor, he is also the
rightful ruler of the Wizarding world, which means that at times he will be
away dealing with matters of state."

Seeing her shocked state he continued more gently, "Hermione he needs you
as a friend, not someone who try's to boss him around and tell him how to
run his life."

Turning his back on her and walking towards the front and Ar'Ron he left
her with, "It is his life after all and he can do with at as he pleases. A
true friend would know this."

Apparating directly outside her Lords current location Bella hugged the
fragile book closer to her chest, knowing that with this book she would be
back in favor with her Lord once again.

Striding down the dank hallway several hundred feet underground Bella
stopped near a doorway and listened to the screams as her Lord violated the
boy inside.

She shivered as she felt the magic pulse around her as the boy gave one
final scream before there was silence.

Quickly running down the hall she entered her master's throne room and
knelt near his throne keeping her face down and clutching the ancient tome.

She did not have long to wait until she heard footsteps approach and the
sounds of someone pausing before sitting down in the chair.

"Bella, why do you risk my displeasure?" Voldermort hissed out.

Eyes still fixed on the floor in front of her she slowly brought the
ancient tome from near her chest and extended it towards her master.

"My Lord I have procured for you a diary written by Salazar Slytherin
himself that tells of the location of powerful ancient artifacts and texts
collected by Salazar himself" Bella said with some pride.

Voldemort's eye slits narrowed as he ranted, "How dare you try to buy your
way out of punishment by offering this ridicules forgery..."

Stopping in mid rant Voldermort noticed Parseltongue writing on the cover
of the tome before quickly snatching it out of the hands of his servant.

"Could it be" Voldermort whispered hiss could be barely heard as he opened
the book.

Reading the squiggly lines on the inside front cover he discovered to his
joy that the text was indeed written by Slytherin.

Skimming to the back of the book he quickly read that the location of the
secret vault was under the Quidditch pitch all this time.

So close he thought, all those years ago I was so close to the objects that
would gain me absolute power, power as great as the True Elves.

"You have done well Bella. Choose two servants and have them approach the
Quidditch pitch at Hogwarts through the Forbidden Forest and report back if
the way is blocked" Voldemort hissed out in pleasure.

Smiling to herself Bella spoke from the floor, "As you wish master. Do I
have your leave to rise and do your bidding?"

"Yes, yes go. Leave me I have reading to do" Voldermort said absentmindedly
oblivious to all save the book in his hands.
