Chapter 1: A fateful encounter, two worlds collide

Daniel Akiza had always been blessed, he couldn't believe that Sam Hunt was
his boyfriend. Hopefully he'd still be his boyfriend, the current situation
quite complicated, "How do I get myself into these situations?" Daniel
asked himself for the millionth time. He had only met Sam a month ago but
during that month Luke Bryan had also come into his life complicating
matters even further.

1 Month Ago Daniel's POV

Let's start from the beginning though, you need to know the whole story to
understand. Daniel Akiza had just got home from School, his third year of
college was finally over and summer vacation was waiting. He put his bag in
his room while opening it, an unpacked his shcool supplies that he had
gotten as the year had progressed. A black wolf with three silver stripes
traveling down both of his left and right sides while one traveled down his
back, entered Daniel's room. "Hey Amaroq, anything interesting happen
today?" Daniel asked his friend. "Well someone stopped by earlier today and
left this letter for you. A certain singer who used to live with you and
your mom." Amaroq explained, as he handed over Daniel's letter using
telekinesis. "No way, he never stops by unless he's in town for a concert
or going to be staying in town on a tour break." Daniel said excitedly, as
he opened up the letter.

"Dear Daniel,

I'm in town for the next month on vacation, I know that you won't get this
until you get home but I know Amaroq will be there to make sure that you
do. Why don't we go out for drinks tonight an celebrate your grades? Mom
told me that you got straight A's again, congratulations little bro you
worked so hard for each one of them! I'll pick Amaroq and yourself up
tonight at 7 pm, can't wait to see you guys again it's been so long since
we've been able to spend time together as brothers without my career
getting in the way. That won't be the case tonight, we're gonna party
tonight and we can catch each other up on what's happened in our lives.

A bright light suddenly surrounded Amaroq as he vanished into the light,
Daniel smiled hoping this would go well for Amaroq. The light vanished as a
boy around Daniel's age with black hair with green streaks, green eyes,
blue cargo shorts, a green t-shirt with a silver wolf howling at the moon
as the design complete with black and green tennis shoes. "I finally
mastered my ability to shift at will." Amaroq explained, as he looked
excited. Daniel smiled widely, as he hugged his wolf bro in human form.
"That's awesome Amaroq, good thing you did too we need to go shopping for
tonight. To the mall!" Daniel explained, as both of them headed outside and
put motorcycle helmets on. A jet black motorcycle with a crimson red wolf
design on the frame and chrome filling in the empty spaces made the
motorcycle even more beautiful. Daniel and Amaroq got on as Daniel started
it up and sped away heading for the mall, twenty minutes later they pulled
in the mall's parking lot and found a spot to park. Both of them got off
the bike and took off their helmets, before heading into the mall as Daniel
armed the alarm on his motorcycle before entering the mall. They made their
way into a store where an started looking at some clothes, after finding
the outfits they liked they headed for the register to pay. All of a sudden
Daniel bumped into someone on his way to pay for the clothes with Amaroq.
"I'm so sorry, I should've paid more attention to my surroundings-" Daniel
said but was cut off when he looked into two beautiful brown eyes. "No it's
my fault, I was tying my shoe and had just finished when I stood up and you
bumped into me. Are you okay?" The gorgeous brown eyed stranger asked.
"Yeah I'm okay, thank you for asking me though. Oh by the way, my name's
Daniel what's yours?" Daniel asked, as he replied. "Hello Daniel, nice to
meet you I'm Sam. Look I feel really bad about about this whole thing, may
I take you and your friend out to dinner? It'd be my treat so you wouldn't
have to pay for anything." Sam explained, asking Daniel if he'd let him
take Amaroq and himself out to dinner. That sounds really good, but we've
got plans to meet up with our older brother tonight for drinks. Would you
like to hang out until then though?" Daniel asked hoping Sam would say yes.
"Yeah that sounds great, just out of curiosity why the last minute shopping
spree?" Sam asked, as he smiled at Daniel. "It's been forever since we've
got to spend time with our older brother and a special occasion requires a
good outfit." Daniel explained, as Sam paid for the clothes they picked out
with a credit card. The girl behind the counter was blushing furiously as
she looked like she was about to faint from happiness. "OH MY GOD YOU'RE
SAM HUNT-!!" She gushed, realizing what she just said and apologized
profusely. Sam looked at her name tag, "Jillian will you keep it between us
about who I am if I give you my autograph and take a pic with you?" Sam
asked, calmly as he took out a pic of himself and autographed it before
posing next to her for a selfie. "Thank you so much Mr. Hunt! I won't tell
a soul about this, I promise enjoy your stay here in town!" Jillian said,
as she thanked Sam and promised not to tell anyone else. The three friends
left and were on the way to the parking lot, "Sorry about that Daniel, I
get that a lot and it's hard to blend in when I'm so popular. I hope this
doesn't change our friendship-" Sam explained, as he apologized to Daniel.
"Sam it's fine, I knew who you were the moment we met  and I didn't want to
bring it up unless you wanted talk about it." Daniel explained, calmly with
a smile. Sam stood there in shock, usually fans freaked out whenever they
found out who he really was. "Thanks Daniel that means a lot and it's
pretty refreshing too. I was wondering, would you like to hang out with me
sometime an maybe get a bite to eat?" Sam asked, with a hopeful look.
Daniel's eyes widened, he wasn't expecting that and from Sam Hunt of all
people! "Remain calm, you can freak out later!" Daniel thought to himself.
"Sure I'd like that a lot, here let me give you my number so you can call
or text me. May I see your phone for a minute Sam?" Daniel replied
answering Sam's question, while he asked his own question. "Sure." Sam
replied handing his phone to Daniel. Daniel entered his contact info, then
took a selfie an used it   for his contact pic. "Okay you're all set, just
let me know when you'd like to grab a bite to eat Sam." Daniel said, giving
Sam's phone back by putting it into his pocket. Sam smiled, "Thanks Daniel,
by the way who's your friend? Sorry if I was rude, my name's Sam what's
yours?" Sam asked Daniel's friend wanting to be his friend as well. "My
name's Amaroq Darkraven, it's nice to meet you Sam. Daniel and I love your
music but we also know you're a regular guy outside of your career like
us." Amaroq explained with a smile. Right at that moment, Sam's ringtone
began to go off signaling a call he answered his phone as his expression
changed into a sad one. "Hey Mark, did you take care of the paperwork
already? Wait, she wants to see me now? Alright I'll be there in 20 minutes
see you both soon bye." Sam hung up his phone with a sigh. He turned around
to face Daniel and Amaroq, "That was my lawyer Mark, apparently I'm needed
for a meeting. I'm sorry guys, looks like we have to part ways for now."
Sam explained with a sad expression. Daniel looked up put away his phone
and smiled,  "Don't worry about it Sam we understand. Hey tell you what,
how about I text you later about 8 pm and you can come have drinks with us?
Our big brother's in town and we're going out to celebrate my good grades
for this year. You don't have to, but it'd be a nice change of pace from
your hectic schedule." Daniel said, hoping Sam would accept his invitation.
Sam's expression brightened up a little, "Are you sure he wouldn't mind? I
wouldn't want to intrude on your family time guys." Sam asked, not wanting
to intrude. Daniel smiled, No he wouldn't mind, he's a cool guy and very
laid back like Amaroq and myself. I already asked him if you could join us
at 8 pm and he's fine with it." Daniel explained, answering Sam's question.
Sam's smile could've lit up a room, "Awesome, I'll see you guys around 8 o
clock than!" Sam replied, as he headed towards a limo that had just
arrived. The driver opened the door and let Sam get in, before quickly
hurrying towards the front getting in and away they went. Well Amaroq we
have not time to waste time to get home and get ready for tonight." Daniel
said, as they found his motorcycle and put their helmets on before heaading
home.

2 hours later

Daniel and Amaroq waited patiently for his big bro to arrive as a knock on
the front door was heard. Daniel got up followed by Amaroq an answered the
door, a man with blonde curlish waves of blonde hair, blue eyes, a bit of
facial hair, a blue jean jacket, with a brown t-shirt an blue jeans wearing
simple black tennis shoes stood there. "Dierks you made it, it's been quite
a year and I've missed you so much!" Daniel said, as he hugged his older
brother tightly while his voice while his voice was thick with emotion.
Dierks hugged him back, I've missed you too Daniel, this year's been
absolutely crazy little bro!" Dierks said, letting go after a couple
minutes. Hey bro glad you could make it, shouldn't we be going though?"
Amaroq asked, happy to see the two brothers together. Dierks looked at
Amaroq, "Do I know you? You look slightly familiar but I can't remember
why." Dierks asked, hoping he wouldn't offend the boy behind Daniel.
"Dierks that's Amaroq's human form, he finally mastered his ability to
shift at will. Recognition dawned on Dierks' face, "Amaroq you looked
almost completely different, yeah we should get going follow me." He said,
as they all got into a brand new bright red Ford truck and headed for the
bar. Twenty minutes later they pulled into a parking spot of a small bar
called Hoops. Everyone got out of the truck and headed inside, it was a
casual place with bar stools and bar games. Daniel, Dierks and Amaroq sat
down at the bar and ordered 3 beers. Dierks told them both how his career
had taken off again after the release of his new album Black and about how
his beloved dog Jake had passed away. Daniel looked devastated, "Jake
passed away? I'm so sorry bro, he was an awesome dog and I'll miss him like
hell." Daniel said, with a sad expression as he comforted his brother. It
was only a matter of time little bro and thanks he really was a great dog.
Enough about me how have you guys been?" Dierks asked Daniel and Amaroq.
"Well things have been stressful but the school year is finally over, how
come you never called, visited or emailed me when I was in the hospital
last month? I know you that you care more about me than that! I'm your
little brother so why didn't you contact me Frederick Dierks Bentley?"
Daniel asked, keeping his voice just low enough for Amaroq and Dierks to
hear him. Dierks looked at the counter, before a shameful expression
covered his entire face. "Mom never told me Daniel, she knew I would drop
everything just to come home and see you. I'm so sorry little bro, I never
knew that you were even hurt or needed me. Did Cass come down?" Dierks
explained, as he hugged his little brother an asked him a question. "It's
okay Bro I forgive you. No she couldn't make it, but she called, texted and
emailed me everyday." Daniel explained, hugging his now emotional big
brother to help calm him down. Amaroq noticed the time was 7:55 pm and
texted Sam using Daniel's phone,

Daniel: Hey Sam we're at Hoops, come down and join us it'd really brighten
up the mood. :)

Sam: Alright give me 10 minutes and I'll be right there Daniel see you
soon! :)

*End of text conversation*

Amaroq put Daniel's phone back in pocket, while Dierks and himself finally
calmed down. "So who's this new friend you mentioned little bro?" Dierks
asked, curious to know about who his little brother had invited. "Oh just a
new friend, that I met earlier today at the mall in fact I need to text him
to tell him where we are." Daniel replied, about to text Sam when Shadow
stopped him. "Don't worry bro, I already told him where we are he'll be in
ten minutes. You might have heard some of his work Dierks, anyways he
should be here any minute so let's talk about something else or just
relax." Amaroq explained, as he noticed Daniel was already working on his
second beer an wasn't even buzzed yet. Amaroq looked out into the bar
towards the entrance and sure enough Sam was making his way over to them.

Sams' POV

10 minutes later

Sam pulled into Hoops' parking lot and parked his truck before getting and
heading inside. Inside the bar was busy and he spotted Daniel and Amaroq
with another guy almost twice their age who had to be their older brother.
Daniel was working on his second beer an wasn't even buzzed yet, Sam walked
over to the trio just as Amaroq noticed him but didn't say anything.
"Excuse me mind if I join you guys?" Sam asked, tapping Daniel on the
shoulder to get his attention.  Amaroq smirked as both Daniel and Dierks
quickly turned around to see Sam standing there in a black t-shirt, blue
jeans, a hat with "I ♥ Seattle" on it, completing the outfit with black
shoes. Dierks looked at Sam as if he was sizing him up, "Sam Hunt is that
you? Sure you can join us! Have a seat next to Amaroq, how's your career
going brother?" Dierks asked, as he motioned for Sam to sit down. Amaroq
moved out of his seat to make room for Sam, "Here Sam take my seat, I
honestly don't mind besides I'll sit in the one next to you." Amaroq said,
not taking no  for answer. "Thanks Amaroq, that's very kind of you my
friend. My career has been going great Dierks, I didn't know Daniel was was
your little brother he never told me." Sam explained, thanking Amaroq an
sitting down while also answering Dierks' question. Daniel smiled, "That
wasn't my secret to tell Sam, I hope you'll forgive me for that I look out
for my family and friends." Daniel explained to Sam. Sam nodded and smiled,
"Don't worry about it Daniel, I'm the same way when it comes to those I
love and care about." Sam replied with a wink. Did Sam just wink at me? Is
he trying to flirt with me, what if it was just a friendly wink? He
couldn't be flirting with me, he's taken and has a girlfriend that he
wouldn't cheat ever cheat on!" Daniel thought to himself as he blushed a
bright red. Dierks looked at both Daniel and Sam, an immediately knew
something was developing between them but he didn't know whether it was
friendship or blossoming feelings. "I'm just gonna head home Amaroq why
don't you drive me home? These two need to some time together alone, Sam if
you hurt him I swear I'll make you regret it for the rest of your life."
Dierks explained, as he staggered out of the bar with Amaroq helping him to
his truck as the sound of tires could be heard leaving the parking lot a
moment later. "Dierks I'm so gonna kill you tomorrow when I see you so be
prepared for a beating!" Daniel yelled using telepathy as his face became a
darker shade of red. Sam noticed that Daniel was blushing an awful lot, an
it wasn't just the alcohol in his system either. "So you never told what
you're studying in school Daniel. How about we go back to my hotel room and
just talk? Does that sound like a plan?" Sam asked his blushing new friend.
Daniel's eyes lit up with enthusiasm, "You really want to spend more time
with me, Sam?" Daniel asked his new friend shyly. Sam smiled, "He's so
adorable when he blushes and those blue eyes are so hypnotic." Sam thought
to himself. He looked at Daniel, his jet black hair with crimson streaks,
his blue eyes, the calm laid back, but caring attitude. Daniel really was a
great guy and he wanted to get to know him better. "Of course I do Daniel,
you don't mind that I have fans or care about my money. You care about me
as a fellow person, your unique view of life is also really refreshing. I
truly and honestly want to get to know you better and I hope you feel the
same way about me." Sam explained, smiling his signature smile. "Well in
that case it's a date!" Daniel said smiling, until the realization of what
he just said out loud hit him. "Not that kind of date, I know that you've
got a girlfriend an that you would never cheat on your her! Just a friendly
get to know you kind of date." Daniel said, explaining he meant friendship.
Sam smiled, "Hey calm down, I know what you meant and it's okay. Why don't
we get going now?" Sam suggested, as they both got up from their bar stools
an headed for the parking lot. Sam walked Daniel over to his new red truck
an unlocked and disarmed the alarm on it. He opened the passenger door, an
helped Daniel into into cab of his truck before hurrying over to the
driver's side and getting in. Sam started his truck, an pulled onto the
street driving towards the hotel he was staying in. "I never answered your
question, I'm actually going for a double major I've already got my
bachelor's degree in music and writing now I'm going for my master's degree
for both too." Daniel explained, as he looked happy with his
accomplishments. Sam stopped at a red light and switched on his turn
signal, "Wow, which one are you going to specialize in or have you decided
on that yet?" Sam asked Daniel, as he pulled into the parking lot of A
hotel called The Marriott Hotel. They both got out as Sam helped Daniel out
of his truck, an headed for the hotel lobbys' entrance as Sam opened the
door a bell hop asked if they had any luggage. Daniel kindly told him. they
didn't have luggage and than headed for the elevator with Sam. Sam pressed
the top floors' button and they waited a few minutes later they arrived on
their floor as two men wearing black suits with earpieces were guarding the
double doors to the only room on the floor. "Security detail somehow I'm
not surprised." Daniel commented a little bit impressed already. Sam
greeted his Security detail, as they nodded and opened the doors allowing
Daniel and himself to enter a huge, richly decorated suite but it still had
a cozy feeling to it despite it's rather posh decor. "Wow Sam this is
really nice, I could never get used to it though since I don't have the
money to afford it." Daniel said, feeling totally out of place. Sam
chuckled, "Thanks I wanted a normal room but my manager insisted on this
master suite." Sam explained, amused by his friend's reaction. Daniel and
Sam went into the living room area and sat on the couch next to each an
talked about their childhood where they grew up and went to school. "Sam? I
know that I've only known you for a day but I'm really glad we met and
became friends." Daniel explained with a smile. Sam smiled widely, "I feel
the same way Daniel, I'm truly glad that we met and became friends too. It
doesn't feel like it's only been a day though it feels like we've been
friends forever." Sam explained, with a chuckle as both of them leaned in
closer as they stared into each other's eyes. Daniel leaned in closer as
their lips met, Sam was surprised that he wasn't the one to initiate their
first kiss. He kissed Daniel back not sure how far his friend wanted to go,
after what seemed like hours but in reality was actually about 5 minutes
Sam broke their kiss. "Daniel I really want this...I want to spend every
minute I can with you because I really like you a lot. The question is, do
you want this to go farther than friendship? Do you feel the same way about
me, too?" Sam asked, revealing his true feelings for Daniel also asking him
how he truly felt about him. Daniel froze and his eyes widened in shock,
Sam liked him, as in liked him more than just a friend? He was taken
though, what would happen between him and his girlfriend? His mind swam
with unanswered questions, "Sam as much I want to say I feel the exact same
way, what about your girlfriend...? I thought you were straight and didn't
have any interest in men. I can't do this. I have to go now, but thank you
for tonight I really enjoyed myself tonight Sam." Daniel explained, as he
got up and headed for the door. He was only at the beginning of the hallway
when he felt Sam's hands stop him, "Daniel wait, please let me explain what
exactly that call was about!" Sam said, as he let go of Daniel's shoulders
thinking he'd overstepped his boundaries. Daniel turned around to face him,
as tears were falling from his eyes, "Alright, start talking I'll know if
you're lying though so please honest with me." Daniel explained, as the
last part came out so soft it was barely a whisper. Sam let go of Daniel,
"It's not what you think. The meeting I went to earlier was to finalize my
break up with Teresa who's now my ex girlfriend, we took a break two months
ago it was good for both of us but I never found anyone until you bumped
into me today, Daniel. You don't care about Sam Hunt the celebrity, you
don't want money or expensive things you could care less about those
things. You care about the man behind the persona, confident, loving,
supportive, loyal and patient. I didn't even consider I could ever begin to
fall for a man, but all that changed the moment you bumped into me today at
the mall Daniel." Sam explained, confessing his true feelings to Daniel.
Daniel stood there frozen in shock, Sam was falling for him? He could have
anyone he wanted, why did he choose him out of all people in the world?
"Sam I should go home, I need time to think and process everything that
you've just told me. Please just give me time, this is all so...so sudden
Sam." Daniel explained, while tears continued to fall down his face. Sam
nodded in understanding, "I've waited for a long time to find someone who
makes me feel like I can do anything. That person is you Daniel Akiza, I'll
wait as long as you need me to and when you have an answer you know where
to find me because I'll still be here waiting for you." Sam explained,
before kissing him one last time showing him that he meant every word he
said. Daniel couldn't help but kiss back, five minutes passed but it felt
like an eternity before Sam broke their kiss. Daniel smiled a bit still
crying but his tears just flowed faster as he turned around and got into
the elevator as the doors closed and he disappeared. The elevator reach the
lobby as he got out after the doors opened and went out the front door, he
didn't pay attention to where he was going since he was so lost in thought.
A car came barreling down the road and hit him, Daniel felt the impact of
the hit as he rolled over the roof of the car and fell onto the pavement
again unable to move. Sam and Amaroq both had a horrible gut feeling that
something truly horrific had happened. Amaroq collapsed onto the ground in
the most excruciating pain he'd ever experienced in his entire life,
"Frederick Dierks Bentley call 911 NOW! Something's happened to Daniel I
can feel it physically and emotionally! Dierks called 911 as Sam bolted
downstairs and out of the lobby's entrance as an ambulance and several cop
cars were on the scene, when he saw the paramedics carrying a portable
stretcher
with a limp body on it the blood froze in his veins. Amaroq and Dierks
arrived and saw Sam run over to Daniel's limp body, covered in bloody
bandages and bruises Dierks and Amaroq approached them as he told the
paramedics they were family Sam got in his truck as he saw them get into
the back of the ambulance as the doors were shut and the ambulance sped
away for the hospital with the sirens blaring. Thirty minutes later Sam,
Dierks and Amaroq were all waiting outside in the emergency room waiting
area. "What did you do Sam?! How could you let this happen to my baby
brother? He's the youngest one in our family so that makes him the baby,
Did you put him in there yourself?  Why was he outside to begin with?!
Start talking now or so help me I'll beat your ass up until you do! This is
all your fault Sam, you were responsible for looking after him tonight and
you couldn't even do that right!" Dierks explained, yelling at Sam and
blaming him for what happened. Sam couldn't take it anymore, "This wasn't
my fault Dierks, how was I supposed to know he'd het hit by a car on his
way home?! Daniel wanted time to  himself so he could think and I respected
his wish! How was I supposed to fucking know that this would happen?! I'm
not a fucking psychic, I can't read anyone's fucking mind so this isn't my
fault you fucking asshole!!" Sam explained, finally losing his temper in
front of everyone. Amaroq stepped between Sam an Dierks, "Break it up you
two! This is a hospital not a boxing ring and other people are recovering
or are be waiting to be admitted to receive medical treatment." Amaroq
explained, while giving both Sam and Dierks a death glare. Dierks and Sam
both knew Amaroq was right, "I'm sorry Sam, Daniel's my little bro...he
could die from those kinds of injuries and our mom would never forgive me
if that happened. I'm responsible for him, I'm supposed to watch after and
take care of him. I'd never forgive myself if something happened to him, I
couldn't live with myself knowing I wasn't there for him when he-" Dierks
couldn't finish his sentence as he'd been crying for the past several
minutes. Sam looked at Dierks as he hugged his friend, "Hey none of that,
Daniel's a fighter and he'll be able to pull through this with our help and
support Dierks. Pull yourself together man, he needs you to be strong for
him right now more than anything." Sam explained, trying to help calm his
friend down. Dierks managed to calm down, right as the emergency waiting
room doors swung open an a doctor came out looking for Daniel Akiza's
family. Sam, Dierks and Amaroq all approached the doctor and asked, "How's
Daniel doc, he's going to be okay right?" All three of them asked at the
same time. "You must be Daniel's family, I'm Dr. Volter. He'll be fine with
lots of rest, but he's extremely lucky to be alive his injuries could've
been much more severe. Daniel bruised a couple ribs, broke his right leg
and he hit his head when he hit the pavement so he's got a minor
concussion. He's resting comfortably in the ICU, I'll lead the way to his
room follow me please." Dr. Volter explained introducing himself before
leading them all to Daniel's room in the ICU. A few mintues later, Dierks,
Sam and Amaroq stepped into Daniel's room in the ICU. Daniel was fast
asleep, with bandages wrapped his head, a cast on his right leg which was
propped up on some pillows a few minor cuts and scrapes on his arms an face
complete with an IV in his right arm. Dierks fought the urge to cry seeing
his little brother hurt so badly, "Do we know who hit him Dr. Volter?"
Dierks asked,  wanting to press charges towards the person responsible if
he didn't kill them first. "Actually the man who hit him was also admitted
but he wasn't hurt as badly as Daniel was. I can't tell you his name though
due to doctor/patient confidentiality." Dr. Volter explained, making it
clear he wasn't going to tell Dierks who the man was. Sam looked at Daniel
as guilt washed over him, he walked over to Daniel's left side and took his
hand as nobody could see the silent tears falling down both cheeks. Anger
filled Sam at that moment, if he ever found out who hit this beautiful man
they were as good as dead because he didn't care about what consequences it
would bring. "I'm so sorry Daniel, I know you can hear me and I hope that
one day you'll have an answer to my question. Please come back to us, we're
all here waiting for you Dierks, Amaroq and I are all here for you." Sam
explained, apologizing as his voice was thick with emotion. A guy about 6
feet tall, with blondish brown hair, brown eyes, a black t-shirt, black
tennis shoes and an intimidating air about him. Just as he entered the room
Daniel woke up and saw him, his eyes widened as both hurt and anger
flashed in them than vanished behind his emotional mask that he wore so
well. The monitor began beeping louder as his heartbeat quickened, "What
the fuck are you doing here Jared? I told you to stay the fuck away from me
and my family, now get the fuck out before things get ugly real fast. I
have nothing to say to you, now leave before I make you leave you
motherfucker!" Daniel yelled, using telepathy since it hurt to talk with
his voice right now. "Daniel, babe I came in here to apologize for what
happened. I guess I'm not welcome here though, I've done what I came here
to do." Jared explained, as he looked sad but was used to it by now. Sam
could hear the anger and hurt in Daniel's telepathy, "Jared, was it? Wait
just a fucking minute, are you saying you hit Daniel with your car?! I
suggest you fucking leave before things get worse or do I have to drag you
out of here myself, Asshole?" Sam explained, as he put the pieces together
an had to restrain himself from beating the shit out of Jared. Jared looked
at Sam with a smirk, "Is this whore who you're fucking around with now?
Wow, what a stud! You should call me sometime so we can tag team him,
Babe." Jared explained, smirking before turning to look at Daniel again.
Daniel finally snapped, his blues eyes lit up with an eerie glow as it
surrounded his body right before Jared was flung out of the room like he
was a rag doll as the door shut itself behind him. Daniel eyes returned to
normal as he relaxed and suddenly felt tired, "Daniel who was that Asshole?
Glad he's gone what a total jerk." Sam asked, in a calm but gentle tone
while commenting what he thought about Jared. Daniel looked at everyone,
"I'm sorry Everyone, some of you know who that was but for those who don't.
That was Jared Vulkmare, my ex fiance and past stalker as you all saw he
doesn't take no for an answer." Daniel explained, yawning when he finished.
Sam looked at Daniel, as he nodded understanding why he had gotten so
upset. "There's still one more thing I don't understand though, it looked
like Jared was thrown out of the room by some unseen force. Was that your
doing Daniel?" Daniel nodded, as he got really quiet. "Amaroq please tell
them about that, I need to rest and recharge right now. Sam don't you dare
cancel your concert just because I got hurt an am in here. Your fans payed
good money for their tickets so don't let them all down." Daniel explained,
using telepathy to do so since he was extremely tired before he drifted off
into sleep. Amaroq looked at both Dierks and Sam, "Well you see, Daniel's
abilities come from his dad's side of the family. We still have no idea how
many there are, but we know that he shouldn't use them for personal gain or
to hurt others. Daniel's got cat like reflexes when he's paying attention,
you've just witnessed his psychokinesis for yourselves, he can heal himself
and others, control different elements and for now that's all we know.
Daniel never asked for these gifts he was born with them, an they're
stronger than his father's abilities that's what he's been told by his
mom." Amaroq explained, hoping this wouldn't change the way Sam or Dierks
felt about him. Sam had listened to everything and checked the time,
"Daniel was teased because he was different when he was younger wasn't he
Amaroq? It couldn't have been easy growing up with abilities normal people
don't have." Sam explained, as he smiled at Daniel's sleeping form. Amaroq
noddded, "Yes he was Sam, some guys still try to tease him but he doesn't
let them get him. He's going to try to push you away Sam, that's what he
does with everyone cause he thinks hos abilities make. him a freak." Amaroq
explained, looking at Daniel sadly. "I like him even more now he's so
special and blessed, usually most people don't respond to bullying the same
way that he does. Daniel isn't a freak, he's just special and has those
abilities for a reason someone just needs to show and tell him that. I
don't want to leave him but I've got a concert to perform." Sam explained,
as he got up to leave. Sam walked over to Daniel's side and leaned down
kissing him gently on the lips before saying, "I'm sorry Daniel I have to
go, but after my concert I'll be right back here afterwards I promise you
that." Sam explained, as he looked sad to be leaving. Dierks was shocked,
how close did Daniel and Sam get after he left tonight? "Sam I'd like to
have a word with you when you get back, I don't know what happened tonight
after I left but we're gonna take about it when you get back." Dierks
explained, with a very serious look on his face. Sam nodded, "I wouldn't
expect anything less from Daniel's older brother Dierks, I'll be right back
here when my concert is done and we'll have that talk." Sam explained, as
he left the room.

4 Hours later Sam's POV

Sam had wrapped up his concert and met fans backstage then went back to his
hotel room to shower and change. He couldn't stop thinking about Daniel,
why hadn't he offered to drive him home? Maybe if he had none of this
would've happened, he'd still be able to walk around without any problems
or injuries anywhere on him. "I don't deserve Daniel, it's my fault that
he's even in there in the ICU anyways...and if I ever see Jared
again...I'll make him pay for what he did to Daniel because he's a fucking
psychopath!" Sam said to himself furious with everything that had occurred
four hours before his concert. He was parked outside the hospital, but
hadn't gone in because of the guilt racking him over what had happened to
Daniel. Sam looked out his truck's tinted window and saw Jared heading
towards the entrance of the hospital, "Oh hell no, he's not going anywhere
towards Daniel if I can help it!" Sam thought to himself as he got out of
his truck, locked it an set the alarm before heading towards Jared. Jared
heard a door open and close but thought nothing of it as he headed towards
the hospital, Daniel would learn to love him again he just needed to get
him alone. Sam grabbed Jared by the shoulders and threw him against the
wall, You're going to stay the fuck away from Daniel or I'll fucking make
your like a living Hell you motherfucking Bastard!" Sam explained, before
kneeling him in the crotch area. Jared fell to the ground in a heap
groaning in pain, after he stopped groaning he began laughing as he got up.
Sam punched him right the gut than his face knocking Jared back several
feet as his body hit the ground. A woman suddenly came out of nowhere her
long red hair with blonde bangs, hazel eyes, wearing a red shirt and blue
jeans, carrying a bright red purse on her right shoulder,  She'd heard the
whole conversation, "Hey you two break it up! Jared! How many times have I
told to stay the fuck away from my son?! She yelled at Jared, who flinched
apparently knowing who she was. Sam looked at Jared and snickered, who that
beautiful lady was he didn't like her one bit. Yeah I know, but he's my
soul mate and I'm not going to just let him slip away so fuck you Bitch!"
Jared explained, as he sneered at the woman. "EXCUSE ME? Where are your
manners? You rude, insolent Asshole! Stay away from my son or there will be
serious problems in your future!" The woman yelled furiously, not liking
the fact he called her a bitch or didn't respect her at all. Jared got up
and started limping off into the night away from the hospital, the woman
turned around and walked up to Sam. "Excuse me Sir, but you look slightly
familiar. Why were defending my son back there? He's not even here, are you
one of his friends or perhaps you're his boyfriend? My name's Serenity,
Serenity Akiza." She said, while asking 20 questions. Sam smiled that
winning smile of his before blushing, "You're Daniel's mother, it's a
pleasure to meet you Ma'am. To answer your questions, I met Daniel
yesterday at the mall and no we're not exactly boyfriends yet but I hope to
be his boyfriend someday. Come with me Ma'am I'll take you to his room,
just be prepared he's in pretty bad shape right now and is in the ICU. By
the way my name's Sam." Sam explained, as he led Serenity Akiza to Daniel's
room. Serenity's eyes widened, "Thank you Sam, I love your music and you
seem like a very kind man when you're not angry." Serenity explained, as
Sam led her to Daniel's room in the ICU. Amaroq walked out of Daniel's room
and saw both Sam and none other than Serenity Akiza following him. "Mom?
What are you doing here? It's great to see you, you look beautiful as
always and once Daniel wakes up he'll be glad to see you're here." Amaroq
explained, hugging his adopted mom. Serenity hugged Amaroq back, "Look
who's mastered his ability, you look handsome Amaroq. How's life been
treating you?" Serenity asked, as they all walked into Daniel's room.
Entering Daniel's room they all stumbled upon a heartwarming sight,
Frederick Dierks Bentley had fallen asleep on Daniel's right side holding
his right hand letting him know he was there. Serenity Akiza was shocked to
see her oldest son with her youngest, "That's a rare sight, Frederick's
career usually keeps him so busy that he can only call, text or email us.
It's good to my boys together again, they've always been close ever since
Daniel found out Dierks was his older brother they've been inseparable."
Serenity explained, getting emotional but in a good way. Dierks woke up and
noticed Amaroq, Sam and his mother were in the room, "Mom? It's been a long
time, I knew you'd come if Amaroq called or did Cassidy call you?" Dierks
explained, as he asked who called her. "Cassidy called me Frederick, you
look well it's good to see you here sweetie." Serenity explained, smiling
at Dierks as they hugged one another. Sam walked over to Daniel's left side
and briefly kissed him on the lips. "I'm back Daniel, just like I promised
you I would be. I hope you don't mind me kissing you, oh one more thing a
surprise visitor showed up to see you and I think you're going to love who
it is when you see them." Sam explained, watching Daniel's chest rise and
fall normally.

Daniels POV

Daniel heard Sam's voice talking to him and felt Sam kiss him on the lips,
he wondered who Sam meant by surprise visitor as he slowly felt his eyelids
grow lighter. He tried opening them once again and saw Sam looking down at
him, "Hey Sam I have an answer to your question, but first of all who's
this surprise visitor?" Daniel asked, as Sam's eyes lit up before he moved
aside to reveal a women Daniel would recognize anywhere as Daniel teared
up. "Mama...it's so good to see you!" Daniel said, as he began to sobbing.
Serenity rushed to her son's right side, as she sat on his bed gently and
held him in her arms. "It's okay Daniel, I'm here now honey and Jared won't
bother you I saw Sam beating him up on my way in. Jared was on his way here
but Sam stopped him with a little bit of my help and that's when he
introduced himself to me an led me here." Serenity explained, as she
consoled her youngest son. Daniel's eyes widened in shock, "Sam did what?!
Sam you didn't have to do that for me, but I'm glad that you did because
otherwise mom wouldn't have gotten here to my room before I woke up and
Jared would still be on his way here to do who knows what. Thank you, I'd
like to talk you in private a little later Sam." Daniel explained, as he
looked relieved but extremely grateful as well. Sam looked at Daniel,
"There's nothing I wouldn't do for you Daniel, but you already know that
and we'll talk later I'll be here cause I wouldn't miss it for the world."
Sam explained, as his famous smile once again made an appearance. Serenity
looked at Sam, "Daniel and Sam we'll all just leave you two alone for a
bit, just be sure to tell us when you want us to come back in." Serenity
explained, as Daniel's eyes widened. Dierks, Amaroq and Serenity all left
the room leaving Sam and Daniel completely alone with each other. Daniel
regained his composure, "Well it looks like now's as good a time as any to
tell you my what my decision is. Sam I've never fallen so hard for someone
that I've barely known for less than a day, but you're the first one that
has actually knocked down all of my defenses leaving me completely exposed.
That both scares and excites me, my answer to your question yesterday is
yes. I want our friendship to go farther and maybe transcend into a
relationship." Daniel explained, with a smile as he looked uncertain about
something but let it go so he wouldn't ruin this moment. Sam smiled and
leaned in kissing Daniel, their lips met in a gentle kiss that soon turned
into a more passionate one. Ten minutes later they broke their kiss, as
both of them were breathless and gasping for air. Sam smiled his killer
smile that he'd only shown Daniel, I'm so happy that you want to take this
further Daniel, I was really nervous about your answer until you started
talking about your defenses. That's when I knew you wouldn't turn me down,
Amaroq told Dierks and I all about your abilities you're not a freak Daniel
you're a very blessed man." Sam explained, as his expression turned serious
but still had that same sincerity in it. Daniel frowned, "You're wrong Sam,
I'm a freak go ahead and say what you really want to tell me." Daniel
replied, as Sam's expression turned from serious to shocked. Sam regained
his composure, "Listen to me Daniel you are not a freak, you are a
beautiful man who cares about his friends and family and will do anything
to protect them. Don't ever think you're a freak, you were given your
abilities for a reason." Sam explained, replying to Daniel's reply. Daniel
smiled, "It's getting late we should all get some sleep, let the others
know they can come back in." Daniel explained, completely dodging what Sam
had said about him. Amaroq came back into the room with Serenity and Dierks
behind him, as if he'd heard Daniel tell Sam to let them know they could
come back in. Serenity smiled, "Things went well, it's getting late we
should all get some sleep. Sam are you staying here tonight?" Serenity
asked, wondering what Sam would say. Sam nodded, "Yeah that's the plan, I
don't think Daniel will mind too much if I crash on the couch over there."
Sam explained, as he blushed a little.  Daniel smiled, "Of course not Sam,
knock yourself out I'd welcome the company actually." Daniel explained, as
he yawned. Serenity, Dierks and Amaroq all said their goodbyes leaving but
before Amaroq left he walked up to Sam. "Daniel's been known to have
nightmares about his past just wanted to warn you and if you need Mom or
myself just whistle for me cause I've got superb hearing. Good night Bro
and good night to you too Sam." Amaroq explained, as he said his piece and
left hurrying to catch up with the others. Sam walked over to Daniel, "Mind
if I join you? You don't have to say yes, it'd be nice to have someone to
snuggle and cuddle with though." Sam explained, as he asked his question.
Daniel's smile could've lit up the room, I thought you'd never ask Sam,
just be careful of my right leg though it's still healing." Daniel replied,
as he scooted over as much as he could for Sam to slide in next to him.
Later that night Daniel woke up in a cold sweat, his nightmares had always
been vivid but this was more like a vision of things to come. Sam woke up
and noticed Daniel's disheveled state, "Everything okay Dan? I hope you
don't mind me calling you Dan, you had a nightmare didn't you?" Sam asked,
guessing that he had. Daniel nodded,  "It was kinda more vivid like it
could've been a vision but it was in a way a nightmare." Daniel explained,
as he shivered and tried to calm down. Sam held Daniel close, "I won't let
anything or anyone hurt you cause they'll have to get through me first."
Sam explained, with sincerity in his voice. "Thank you Sam..." Daniel
replied, as he fell asleep once again. Sam smiled, this was what he had
been missing missing his life. Teresa never made him feel like Daniel did,
not to mention she was always asking for expensive things. Daniel didn't
even care about the money, he just wanted someone to be with an spend time
together with that person. He truly was happy they had met and maybe this
was fate, only time would tell them both. Sam finally fell asleep as, light
snoring could be heard from the ICU room Daniel was staying in.
