	Chapter 19: F3nc3s

I laid on the bed, sipping something warm. As I adjusted, I immediately
noticed that Sam, Dean, and Bobby were staring at me. I sipped my...umm,
not sure what the hell it is, but I sipped it.

"Aren't you supposed to be dead?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, I thought when you saw me, it'd wear off." I said softly.

"What would wear off?" Dean asked.

I averted my eyes.

"A spell?! You used a spell on us?!" Sam asked, looking around.

"Where's the book?" I asked, sitting the cup on the nightstand and looked
around.

"Easy, now." Bobby said, " We don't know what's all wrong with you."

"I do." I said, attempting to stand, but falling, " I'm drained. I just
teleported across the country."

"You did what?" Sam asked, " What's going on?"

"I need the book. Then I can enlighten you." I said squarely.

"Stop it!" Dean said, " Tell us what's going on."

"Okay." I said angrily, " I died. Anyone who gets to the Center has to die
and it was supposed to wipe the minds of everyone that was in sight and...I
guess that worked. I went on quite an adventure...but my mentor turned out
to be a total bas..."

"Okay, get to the part where you had to teleport back." Dean pressed.

" My mother." I said, not looking up.

"She's dead." Bobby said, " John and your dad told me about it."

"Did they also tell you that they took the book because my mother is
possessed? Her soul has been trapped forever inside her own body by some
uber demon..." I trailed.

"No." Bobby said, " Your mother is dead. All that's left is her body and
the witch that possessed her."

"Witch?" Dean asked, " They can do that too?"

"Powerful ones." Bobby said, " And there's a hell of a powerful one out
there...he knows you have a book?" Bobby asked.

"Who doesn't." I said, cutting my eyes at him.

"I'm sorry I didn'...." Bobby began but I looked away, " You guys need to
be on the move."

The room gave a slight tremble, " I'm not going anywhere without my book."
I said angrily.

"Your book?" Sam asked idly.

"MY book." I growled.

"What's going on with you?" Sam asked.

"I failed. The only thing I've been asked to do, and I failed because I
didn't know everything." I said, " I'm really not in the mood."

"We just got our asses handed to us by the Charmed Ones." Dean said, " So,
you're not the only one having a rough day."

"I just found out that my mom's not entirely dead yet...I win." I said. I
felt a distant grumble, then nothing, " They're here. GIVE ME THE BOOK." I
growled.

Bobby hit the desk and the book appear, " Be careful." he said, looking at
me, trying to find a reason to not give me the book.

"Did you find it?" I asked.

"What?" he asked.

"A reason to not give it to me." I said quickly, " Apparently not, huh." I
said, opening the book to the protection spell, " Protecci"n!" I said,
raising my hand in the air.

"So, what? That's going to keep them out?" Dean asked.

"That's pretty much going to keep us in." I said quickly.

"Explain." Dean said quickly, raising his gun at the pounds on the door.

"Depends on the caster's thoughts. My thoughts are that if I get them in
here, I have the freedom to experiment." I smirked wickedly.

"So, that uber-witch is outside?" Sam asked.

"No, it wouldn't come to us. It would send followers." I said quickly, "
Open." I said to the door. Bobby, Sam, and Dean pointed their guns directly
at the door, but all they could see was the darkness that and suddenly a
group of followers walked in, " Stop." I commanded.

"You know we cannot." the followers said in unison.

"Creepier than you described." Dean said over my shoulder.

"Buckle up, it's about to get so much worse." I said, lowering my head
forward.

"Worse? Why's it about to get worse?" Bobby asked.

"Cause If I don't do this right, you're going to explode." I said, not
taking my eyes off the followers.

"So, you will not come willingly?" they asked, again in unison.

"Not lately." I said, waving my hand in the air and quickly whispering, "
Dorem Ush Tu, Racma!" and suddenly there was a bang before the followers
vanished, leaving only their robes. I panted and fell over.

"What'd you do, kid?" Bobby asked.

I smiled to myself, " Let's just say there is a group of naked people
wandering around somewhere." I sighed pleasurably, " And fuck you, I'm not
a kid."

They just laughed as they packed our stuff. I just laid on the bed, trying
to get over the sensation of the spell and I panted harder. Then I groaned
as I felt an intense ripping in my head and felt someone pick me up. It was
Sam. I smiled as he carried me away.

As I stood outside a yellow, two story house, I sighed to myself. I had
been wanting to avenge my parents death so bad that I almost lost the book
and maybe even me. More importantly, I had spelled my friends. Or, put a
spell on them. I had taken memories, precious memories. I was glad when I
saw them come from the house and I was even happier when they were wearing
suits that fit them so well. When they caught sight of me, Dean nearly fell
and they walked to me quickly, bickering with each other.

"I thought we told you to stay in the hotel with Bobby!" Dean said angrily,
looking around to make sure no one saw us.

"Bobby had business to take care of and I'm a big boy." I said quickly.

"Yeah, but we're on a case." Sam said.

"What better way to make it up to you than to help you crack the case?" I
asked, " Look, how many times do I have to tell you that I'm sorry. But you
had to think I was dead. It's the only way I could say the spell without
dying."

"Look, just go back and..."

"No. I made a mistake and I'm sorry, but ever since I got back, you two
have been ducking me. But we really don't have the time anymore, do we?" I
asked.

"You wiped our memories." Sam said.

"Yeah, and I also unwiped them when I could have just altered them." I
argued.

"You have that kind of power?" Dean asked, his eyebrow arched high.

We all stopped as sirens blared through the air. We all looked at each
other and thought the same thought.

"Look, you two bitches are all I have left in this world. In a world full
of creepy things that want us...I need you." I said slowly.

"Look, as long as you don't fuck with our mines ever again, we're good."
Dean said.

"I had to." I said.

"We know." Sam said.

"So, what's the mission?" I asked.

"Zombie reports." Dean said.

"As in Day of the Dead, Land of the Dead, or Resident EviL?" I asked.

"Both. Zombie aren't stupid, they still know who they were, but soon they
become something else..." Sam explained.

"Like vampires?" I asked.

"Yeah." Dean answered.

"This is a pretty small town, shouldn't they be here?" I asked.

"That's the mystery." Sam said.

" So, let's go. I think I can find them." I smiled.

The clues that Sam and Dean had gathered taken us to an abandoned
mansion. It was a little too 'Resident Evil' for me, but I had to prove
that I could do it. I could feel something big there. Right there...with
us, but I didn't protest when they suggested we split up. Before we did,
they gave me something.

"Here." Dean smiled.

I took whatever it was, " What's this?" I asked, unwrapping the cloth
around it. It was a holster with two guns. I smiled, " Thanks."

"And..." Sam said, handing me a sling with a sword, " It's called a Witch's
blade. We thought you'd like it."

"Thank you guys!" I said, hugging them and taking my jacket off. I put the
holster on and, then my jacket back on and the sling outside that, " You
guys ready? Be careful. Something is off about this house."

"Besides the fact that it's hunter bait?" Dean asked.

"Exactly." I said, heading off in an opposite direction. As I crept down my
hall, I heard the creepy sounds and saw what I was supposed to see. The
levitating items, the breaking glass, and altogether creepy things. Not
magic, or Not witchly magic. I found myself studying it. As I passed by the
mirror, I could have sworn I seen something and I looked into it, "
Reveal." I said, running my hand over it. An image appear, someone passing
by, another guy and his girlfriend. She had flowing red hair and he was a
brunette. They walked by, then boom! Something grabbed them. Before I could
act, I felt something hit me on the back of the head and I was gone.

	- - - - - - - - - -

As I awoke, I saw a tuft of long, red hair in my line of vision. I looked
to my side to see the guy from the mirror and I just guessed that the red
hair was the woman. Immediately, I heard the screams and cheers and looked
around to see that I was in an arena type setting. There were people all
around. Not people. I could feel them...vampires? Demons! Soulless. I
looked forward in time to see the red tuft of hair and the man be thrown
into a cage with another...I stopped in mid-thought. That wasn't a man, not
anymore. I cursed myself for again being the damsen and looked around. I
tried to move, but I felt something around my wrists and it hurt. I looked
to the cage and saw the zombie running after the two. The man put the woman
behind him and the zombie ripped him apart. I gasped and they realized I
was awake. The monster was held back and I was thrown in, then he was again
let go.

"We're gonna die!" the woman whimpered.

"Not today." I said, feeling for my guns, but they were gone. I reached
behind my back for my sword, but it, too, was gone.

"They take your things." she said.

"Great." I smirked. As the zombie ran at me, I raised my hand, " Escudo!" I
shouted as an invisible force stopped the zombie! The crowd gasped and some
shrieked! I could feel their outrage. I sneered and reached into my boots,
pulling out a tiny knife. I had left one in the bathroom, but it had come
in handy, so I got another one. When I looked up, the forcefield was gone
and I looked back to see that the zombie had her.

"She looks absolutely tasty." it growled, licking her neck.

"Don't!" I shouted.

"Why not? I'm hungry." it growled.

"Eat me." I said quickly, " Let her go and eat me."

"You will come willingly, witch?" it asked.

"What would be the fun in that?" I asked.

It smiled and the threw her to the side. She hurried out of the cage and it
looked directly at me and licked its lips. I smirked and looked
around. Nothing I could use. I thought about what the Coven had taught
me. 'EVERYTHING is a weapon'. As he ran towards me I summoned the dirt from
the ground and brought it up around me, then slid into it. Do not ask me
how, but I did. And as the dust disappeared, so did I. I waited until the
right time and I ripped myself from the dirt and stabbed the zombie in the
neck, causing him to fall to the ground. The crowd booed as I walked over
and telekinetically ripped the cage down around me. There were gunshots and
I heard bodies hit the floor before the chaos ensued. I looked around to
see Sam and Dean, who rushed to me.

"Are you alright?" Sam asked, hugging me.

"We need to get out of here." I panted, " They use humans to fight zombies
like some sport. I can feel them, they're..." I looked around when I heard
a gate fall, " Loose."

"We don't have that much ammo." Dean said, checking himself, " Here." he
said, tossing me the guns, holsters, and sword, which I snapped on quickly.

"We just need to get out of here. They hunger, and when they finally get
hungry enough, they'll eat each other and when we leave, we can just shut
the re-enforced doors." Sam explained.

"I think I know the way." the girl said.

I looked past them, past the army of zombies rushing at us and deeper into
the cave, they seemed to just keep going, " Something's there." I said
slowly.

"We don't have time." Dean said, pulling me.

"Dean, there's something really...there's something there." I said,
snatching my arm. I felt it, whatever it was. It was powerful, attracting
me. I was supposed to go to it.

"No!" Sam shouted, putting me over his shoulder and running away.

We ran until we got to the end of the giant cave and Dean ran into the
control booth at the top. Sam sat me down and ran inside with him. The
woman and I stood outside, watching the zombie come for us, but I couldn't
stop thinking about the power.

"Waiting for mommy." the girl said.

"What?" I asked, looking at her. Her eyes had gone black and I looked at
her carefully, " Who are you?"

"Just your normal demon, possessing the All-American girl. Don't worry, she
was already dead...caught her before the zombism hit her. Knew I felt
something in you...you're him." the Zombie said.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Do you know what's past those zombies? It's what you need to defeat her."
the demon smiled.

"I have what I need." I said, " I have the book."

"Are you sure?" it asked, " Are you sure that's the book? Any book can have
made up spells that work, but the true essence...the true beginning is just
past them."

I looked past them. I heard a gunshot and looked up to see Dean standing
over the controls with his gun pointed at it. The doors began to close and
I began to sweat.

"It's all in there." it smiled.

I looked at her angrily, " You do look tasty." I said throwing her
telekinetically through the door as it closed and Sam and Dean appeared at
my side as the door closed and the demon pounded on the door. We all looked
at the door and heard screams.

"What'd you do?" Sam asked, looking at me.

"She was a demon. And I was right, the only thing that could help me defeat
my mother is behind them." I shook my head, " But there is nothing there,
right?" I asked, walkinga way from them.
