the US armed service past, present, and future.  This is a fictional story
it is not intended to imply that any of the celebrities mentioned are
homosexuals. If you are not old enough to read these stories do yourself a

98 Degrees comes to visit

	After paying for the bill and leaving a tip, we left the restaurant
once outdoors I asked, "Where do we go from here?" as I unlocked my truck
this time I got into the driver's seat and Jeff called shotgun why he
wanted to be up near me still baffled me.

"I don't know lets just go some where not as exciting as this place,"
Justin commented as he got in the back of my truck.

"Well what ever we do we better get there fast we are about get hit by a
thunderstorm," I said noting the increase in cloud cover

"Really how can you tell?" Drew asked

"First you can smell it in the air is surrounded by ozone." I said

"Second you see those trees?" I asked pointing to a couple of trees that
lined the sidewalk

"Yeah," Jeff answered looking at them

"Look at the leaves," I told him I made to indicate the leaves and how the
underside was now shifting towards the sky

"I don't notice anything," Nick replied

"If you look at the leaves on those trees they have turned so the under
side are exposed to the coming rain," I said

"I see what he is talking about look at those leaves they are facing the
sky," Drew said

"When we stop and look to the Earth, she will shows many wondrous things,
some of it can't be explained and some can be, but she will let us know if
something like a thunderstorm is on the way." I explained as if to confirm
my findings a soft rumble could be heard in a distance.

They just shook their heads "Well I am bushed and I can't speak for the
guys but I would like to see this house of yours Mike," Drew stated

"Yeah what do you say Nick?" Jeff asked

"Why not I am sick of hotel air," Nick replied

I just nodded and we head for my places I had nothing to hide from these
people and I was really starting to like having them around. However I
still haven't be able ascertain why on Earth would they want to hangout
with me. Just as I started the engine it began to rain making me laugh when
the guys gasped.



	By the time we pulled into my driveway it was still raining pretty
hard as I exited my truck first, I ran to unlock the door once opened I
signal for the guys they all ran inside "Welcome, home Sir," My home said

"Hello BEATTI anything happen while I was out?" I asked

"Nothing out of the ordinary although you have a message from your base
they need you to work tomorrow," BEATTI replied

"Ok and the weather?" I replied

"This system will remain for another twenty minutes," BEATTI reported

"Good," I smiled turning to see everyone staring at me "What?"

"Is there something you are not telling us?" Drew asked

"What, I have a knack for technology, all I did was put a few wires
together hear and there," I smiled sheepishly trying to dumb down my
accomplishment.

Once all the way in there was a collective gasp as Nick, Justin, and Drew
took in the size of my home. It was amazing to see it myself and I been
living here for a week now.

I called out, "Ok I have four other bedrooms for you to choose from, and I
have two bathrooms each fully equipped. Downstairs in the basement I have a
special room which I call the Holo-Room in short it is the Enterprise's
Holodeck for lack of better explanation. You guys are welcome to use it,
the kitchen is completely stock for whatever you want expect for alcoholic
beverages, I don't drink and I will not have the stuff in my home," I said
I thought I heard a sigh of relief coming from Drew for whatever reason I
couldn't be sure, but I had some idea though.

The guys each went to their room I made my way to mine where I changed into
a more causal look. Outside the sound of the storm could still be heard as
the rain continued to pound on the window and I could hear the distant
thunder. It was actually very soothing to my psyche and I used it to
strengthen my senses. I was just finishing up when I felt a mild ping from
the Mother followed by a knock at the door. I smiled because knew who it
was before he spoke his aura preceded him.

"What can I do for you Jeff?" I asked



I could sense his surprise and smiled when he spoke through the door, "How
did you know it was me?"I heard through the doors.

Opening the door just enough to see a very grim looking Jeff staring back
at me, this took some of the wind out of my sails, because I could see the
conflict that was rattling his brain through his eyes. He was battling with
whether or not he wants to talk to me about something. Just the fact he
felt that he could come to me at all especially this soon made me shiver
and I wasn't sure if it was a good shiver or a bad shiver.

"Lets just I have an inside source," I replied with a comforting
smile. Opening the door the rest of the way and letting Jeff in

"If you are not done I can wait," Jeff stated by pointing my bare feet.

"It can wait," I assured him

"But you were getting dressed," Jeff pointed out

"Something tells me Jeff that you would not normally come to a complete
stranger unless there seemed to be no one else to turn to," I said
returning my gaze to meet his gorgeous face. The look on his angelic face
told me everything I needed to know.

"I, I," Jeff stumbled as he tried to form words but still not sure how to
go about saying it.

"How long?" I asked decided to break the ice, this made him pause "How
long? What?" He queried not knowing what I was referring too.

"Jeff, I can smell it on his breath and I can see it in his eyes, and with
you standing here I know that Nick is in trouble," I told him.

"I, I, don't know he won't tell anyone, but he is drinking heavily more and
more in the past several weeks," Jeff cried

"It is ok, Jeff let it out you are worried, they are all worried I heard
Drew's sigh when I told you guys my home was dry, it seemed as if he was
praying it," I informed him

"We are trying to be there for Nick, but we are running out of ideas." Jeff
cried

I simply walked over to Jeff then I gave him a hug. Then he just broke down
whatever feelings he was holding back were now pushing their way out.

"It is ok, Jeff let it out, I will do what I can," I comforted not even
sure how I could help in the first place, but at the time it seamed like
the right thing to say.

	He just broke down eventually he fell asleep in my arms I felt a
little discomfort but I pushed them aside because a friend needed
me. Whatever his fears were he had just let them out. As best as I could I
cradled Jeff then carried him up to his room and put him in his bed. Before
leaving him for the night I went to the bathroom grabbed a washcloth and
ran it under warm water bringing it back to this sleeping angel. I ran it
over his eyelids and down his cheek removing the last of the tears that
remained. And for reasons I can't explain I bent over and placed a light
kiss on his cheek, then whispered, "Everything will be alright," then I
pulled the covers up over him and walked out of his room.



	Getting up I moved towards the door stopping only to look back I
saw him pull the covers tighter around him and it made him look even more
adorable, then I shook my head because I truthfully I had no idea how to
help him nor how I could help Nick. But I knew I would do what little I
could which be here when they needed a friend.

I went to bed myself a few minutes later and the last thought as if it
finally registered on what I had done earlier 'wow I can't believe I kissed
him.'

In truth I had no idea how to help I could try talking to him but I didn't
know what good it would do at the moment I knew what would. I fell asleep
listening to the storm outside while trying to figure out how to calm the
one inside.



I awoke the next morning feeling somewhat better then the night before,
"BEATTI status?"

"Nothing to report sir," my computer announced I made my way to the kitchen
and put a pot of coffee together. Then I moved outside it was still
twilight with the sun still coming up over the horizon I sat down to watch
it. As the sun's crest began to peek over the horizon I heard movement from
back inside my house someone besides me was up.

"Morning," I heard behind me I turned to see Jeff in nothing but a pair of
boxers. It was a sight his physique was astounding he was hot enough to
melt the polar icecaps. "Morning," I responded trying to keep my voice as
normal as possible

"You know I had the strangest dream last night," Jeff smirked

"Do tell," I quipped

"I dreamt that someone kissed me," Jeff stated

"Must have been some kiss," I suggested

"It was it helped me sleep," Jeff smiled

"Good," I replied turning back to my other morning view

"You know all of my time on the road I never really got up and appreciated
the sun," Jeff confessed

"It was one of the many splendors that I made sure I caught while out at
sea," I also confessed

"For us we are so busy with our tour anytime we got to sleep in we took
it," Jeff stated

"Same here," I chuckled

"But when I can I try to enjoy the gifts we are given," I said spreading my
hands before us

"Hey guys," we turned to see Drew in the same getup as Jeff nothing on but
a pair of boxers. 'These guys just weren't playing fair,' I chuckled to
myself.

"What you two up too?" Drew asked

"Well I just got here but Mike was up watching the sunrise," Jeff informed

"Oh is that what that thing is," Drew smirked as he too watched our Solar
Guardian peer over the horizon.

"Yes it is," Jeff shot back.

They went at it for the next minute or so trying up one on jokes and lame
comments. I was laughing so hard I had tears going down my face. Wiping off
my face I grabbed them, remembering with the sun up the likely hood of
these two being spotted was even higher. Give their current state of
appearance that outcome would be disastrous so leading them back indoors
before they were spotted I shooed them to the showers and began to make
breakfast as I was pouring a cup of coffee I heard the last two getting
up. Nick was the first to come down the stairs he at least had a pair of
pants on but was still shirtless. "Damn," I thought to myself as I turned
around.

"Morning Mike," Nick yawned

"Morning, how did you sleep?" I greeted

"Great," Nick yawned again

"Where are Drew and Jeff?" Nick asked

"I shooed them out of my kitchen," I replied

"Need a hand?" Nick asked

"No I am doing just fine get your ass in the showers," I laughed

"Yes sir," Nick gave a mocked salute I gave him one of my own as he
left. While they were off getting their showers and whatnot's I got my
report from BEATTI, there were several break-ins here and there. There were
reports on some strange murders where the victims had weird marks on their
necks and had their blood drained.

I had her file it away for until I could get to the Lair and look into it
further. By the time I had everything done the guys all smelled clean and
giving me a hard time concentrating. We sat down to breakfast and the look
on their faces as they bit into their meal meant more to me then being
Guardian Angel. By the time we were finished Nick got a call from their
agent. They had to be at the studio, and they wanted me to come along. We
left a few moment later and arrive at the studio an hour later they spent
the last six hours doing dances numbers and singing for the upcoming
concert at the Veteran Stadiums. It was exciting for the first hour or so
then after seeing them doing the same steps over and over again I got a
little bored. The art of disappearing was something I've perfected over the
years and when I found a quiet place I put in another call to the Lair to
see how the diagnostics were going on the Sea Dragon and checking up on
every last nuances.

	When they were done we headed back to their hotel where they each
took a shower while I awaited them I closed my eyes and started a light
meditation I needed to get some perspective in what has been going on the
last 24 hours and how it will affect me in the future. When I heard the
first door open I brought myself out of the mediation looking to see Nick
coming back to the common room this was followed by Drew and Jeff with
Justin trailing. I was starting to see a pattern forming even though I've
only know them a few days, each of them took a seat with Jeff sitting next
to me I just shook my head wondering why of all places he would want to get
close to me. Drew had asked what everyone wanted to do although I could
hear it in his voice today's activities had taken its toll on them and they
all looked beat.

"Well?" Jeff started to say something when the power started blinking at
first I thought it was a power issue until I looked outside and every
building in the area was still brightly lit

"What the Hell?" Drew swore even without the ping from the Mother I knew
something was wrong. Instinctively my hand went to my Pike getting ready
for whatever might happen.

"Stay here," I said as my military training kicked in and I slowly made my
way to the door.

I had enough time to see the door it caved in and everything went
black. "Mike!" was the last thing I heard.

The last thing I thought was, 'I failed them,'





	Back on Hope Island Gaia was busy looking for her Nexus with
Captain Planet's life was literally hanging by a thread. She had to find
one person on world filled with billion it wasn't an easy task even for
her.

"Mother God, Father God I could use some incite," Gaia prayed

"Your search is easier then you think Gaia," Gaia turned to see Azna the
Mother God she looked wonderful and just like Gaia she was sort of a fusion
of many cultures. She had fire red long hair that stopped at her hips. Her
skin was Polynesian in texture, and her eyes were iron grey. They held the
love of her children, and the strength only a God could possess. Her lips
put the rose to shame with their color and soft texture she was wearing a
Roman style body armor with a long red cloak. She held her Sword in her
left hand she fixed Gaia with a loving glare the same as she did with all
of her children, "Mother Goddess," Gaia bowed

"Gaia you know who you are looking for he has shown himself more then
capable in holding Captain Planet," Azna spoke with the wisdom that made
even Gaia feel small in comparison.

"But is he ready?" Gaia asked

"The energy Captain Planet released is already searching for him, it is
only a matter of time before it gets to him," Azna stated

"But he still has his demons that could make the transition difficult,"
Gaia pointed out

"That maybe but even with those difficulties he is more then ready," Azna
spoke

"It will take the fusion of Captain Planet for him to heal," Azna stated

"What if we started him off slow and see how he takes to it?" Gaia
suggested

"You are the Spirit of Earth Gaia that would be your call," Azna smiled

"Then that is what we will do," Gaia confirmed
