That Day At The Lake

Ch. 1

The camp fire was burning as the sky darkened into the night.
There sit Jake T. Austin almost hypnotized by the flames.

"What you thinking about?" asked Kevin Zegers, sitting across from Jake.

"Just thinking.." Jake replied with a cold expression to the tone of his
voice.

"Wanna talk about it" asked Kevin.

"No.. not really." he replied.

Jake had been in an isolated mood for majority of the day, he was camping
with a few fellow celebrities to raise funds for aids awareness. Having
recently rapped up his tv series, Jake seemed down. Jake felt alone and
cold inside. He often dreamed about reaching the heights of other actors
but never got his dream opportunity, he began to question his abilities as
an actor and human being.

With tears running down his face he ran further into the dark forest,
heading towards the lake. Jake felt an overwhelming sense of sadness.

Meanwhile at the lake sat Taylor Lautner, staring at the stars deep in
thought.

Jake T. ran past Taylor, crying heavily, heading up a cliff where it seems
he wanted to take his life. Taylor jumped up with a confused look on his
face and ran after the boy.

As Jake walked slowly to the edge, Taylor came forward from behind.

"Don't do anything stupid." said Taylor in a concerned tone of voice.

Jake was surprized by the voice behind him and turned around crying.

"You don't understand what it's like to feel the way I do." whimpered Jake

"I Think I Do" responded Taylor.

"You feel alone, you feel desperate to the point where suicide feels like
the only way out." He further added.

Jake continued to cry and walked further to the edge of the cliff.

"Don't do this, we can talk about it." said Taylor

Taylor acted fast when he saw Jake about to jump. Taylor quickly ran to the
edge and caught Jake by his abdomen and chest before he fell. Taylor then
carried the devastated Jake back to lower ground.

"Are you okay, what's wrong." asked Taylor

Looking up at his saviour Jake realised who he was talking to and responded
with a shocked facial expression.

"I-I-I.. I just felt.." Jake responded unable to finish his sentence.

"It's okay mabe you just need to calm down", Taylor said with a twinkle in
his eyes. "Suicide is never the answer Jake, not while there are people
out there who still care for you."

Jake bowed his head in dismay.

"Join me at the lake, we can talk." said Taylor

The two walked slowly towards the lake and sat down under the night sky.

"How do you even know my name." asked Jake

(Taylor gives his flashing smile). "I happen to be a huge fan of your tv
show with Selena. You're hilarious." He said.

"Why... why would you save me?" asked Jake

"You weren't thinking straight and I've been where you are mentally. I know
it hurts. Sometimes we just need someone to save us from ourselves." said
Taylor

Jake let out a warm smile which caught Taylors eye and in turn made him
smile.

"Jake!!!! where are you." Shouted Kevin from a distance.

"I better go, thanks Taylor you're like my hero now." said Jake with a
smile.

"Pleasure" responded Taylor in a kind tone of voice.

With that said Jake walked back to his camp site.

end of chapter one.

This was sort of a rough idea at first so sorry if it sucks :/

Character development will continue if there are decent responses. If not I
will scrap the idea.
