in a secret hidden
Hydra base in DC


	Bucky Barnes [aka: The Winter Soldier] sat inside a computerized
room with a team of scientists under armed guard...! While one scientist
repaired the damage Captain America did to his `bionic' arm [fixing the
sensors inside and re-wielding the Titanium metal platelets], Bucky was
beginning to have flashbacks of his life before his `death'..., suddenly
recalling aspects of the man he fought on the street...!


:::FLASHBACK:::


	He recalled laughing with him in a military pub, sitting at a table
surrounded by his army unit `The Howling Commandos'...! He also recalled a
more intimate moment between them, when he'd gotten a little too drunk and
had to be helped back to the motel room they shared on 3day leave...! Steve
carried him into their room and took good care of him, lying him [gently]
on the bed and taking off his clothes...! Bucky recalled something
wonderful happening to his cock, and looked down to see his buddy between
his legs...! Another image of Steve riding him flashed in his mind, he
could still practically feel the ass cheeks palmed in his hands as the man
rode him, bouncing up and down in his lap...stabbing himself in the gut
with his cock! Then Steve leaned forward and kissed him...! He didn't

dragged through the snow, leaving a bloody trail behind where his arm
should have been! He recalled seeing Zola's face smiling down at
him...saying `welcome back sergeant Barnes' before injecting him with
something and cutting off what was left of his mangled arm...! He recalled
waking him hours [days] later, surrounded by doctors...! Then staring up at
his hands...one human, one metal..., someone saying `you are now the new
FIST of Hydra...!' He grabbed the first person he saw by the throat with
his metal hand, squeezing the life out of him as the man's eyes bulged and
his face turned blue within seconds...! `Put him on ice!' screamed Zola, as
Bucky was then zapped [with a highly advance taser], then put into a
cryo-freezer to be studied!

	Bucky slammed his bionic fist into the first person closest to him
[the scientist repairing his damaged arm], sending him flying across the
room like a child's thrown toy...! Guard's locked their weapons on him,
aiming at his head [for a fatal shot] as he sat in his seat, confused...!


"Put that away...!" insisted Alexander Pierce [one of SHIELD'S highest
level officers (and inside man for Hydra)...], walking into the room with
his STRIKE officers in tow...!
	"Mission report...!" he ordered, as Bucky continued to sit and
stare into space..., his mind a mumbled-jumbled mixture of lost memories
and contradictions...!


"Mission report, NOW...!" demanded Pierce, tucking away his
glasses...moving in closely to peer into Bucky's dilated eyes...!
	Bucky was gone! Lost in his own mind of mangled memories! Pierce
backslapped him [viscously] across the face, trying to bring him back to
his senses...! Instead of fighting back, Bucky just sat there, turning
slowly towards Pierce and saying...


"The man on the bridge..., who was he...?"


"You met him earlier this week on another assignment...!" answered Pierce,
hoping that would suffice his memory...!
	Bucky stared off...


"I...I know HIM..." he said, more to himself than to Pierce...!
	Pierce took a seat beside him...


"Your work has been a GIFT to mankind...!" he said, looking directly into
his face...! "You helped shaped the century! And I need you to do it ONE
more time...! Society's at a tipping point between order and chaos..., and
tomorrow morning we're gonna give it a push! But if you don't do YOUR
part...I can't do mine! And HYDRA can't give the world the freedom it
deserves!
	Pierce was hoping his speech would be enough to put Bucky back in
his `right' frame of mind...but it wasn't...! Bucky stared directly into
Pierce's eyes and said...


"But...I KNOW him..."
	Pierce sighed...!


"Prep him!" he said, getting up from his chair...!


"But sir...he's been out of the cryo too long...!" informed one of the
scientists...!


"Then wipe him and start over again...!" ordered Pierce [heartlessly], as
Hydra scientists pushed Bucky back in his seat and locked his arms and legs
into place with steel bounds, then put a mouthpiece between his teeth to
bit down on [so he wouldn't severe his tongue] as the machines
automatically clamped down about his head, stabbing electro-rod directly
into his brain...erasing his current memories and refilling them with his
orders...!
	Pierce left the facility with Bucky screaming in the
background...his voice still heard as he rode the elevator back up to the
surface...!

ELSEWHERE


	Former SHIELD director Nicolas J. Fury held up a photo of his old
friend and colleague [Alexander Pierce]...and shook his head...!
	"This man once declined The Nobel Peace Prize..." he said to a room
with Steven Rogers [aka: Captain America], Clint Barton [Hawkeye], Sam
Wilson [Falcon], and Mark Hill [Agent-13]...! "...he said `peace wasn't an
achievement, it was a responsibility'...! See, its shit like that that
gives me trust issues...!" he announced, tossing the picture aside!


"We have to stop the launch...!" said Hawkeye, sitting in a wheelchair
[fresh from surgery (last chap)...]!


"I don't think The Council's accepting my calls anymore...!" said Fury
[flipped], lifting the lid on a suitcase with 3 computer chips embedded
inside...!


"What's that...?" asked Falcon, curiously!


"Once the helicarriers reach 3,000 feet, they'll triangulate with Insight
satellites, becoming fully weaponized...!" informed Agent-13, showing
graphics on his tablet...!


"We need to breach those carriers and replace their targeting chips with
our own...!" intervened Fury, explaining what the chips were for!


"One or two won't cut it..." added Hill, "...we need to link all THREE
carriers for this to work...because if even ONE of those ships remains
operational...a whole lot of people are gonna die...!"


"We have to assume everyone aboard those carriers are Hydra...!" informed
Fury! "We have to get past them, insert the server chips, and maybe, -just
MAYBE we can salvage what's left of..."


"We're not salvaging anything...!" interrupted Capt [angrily]...! "We're
not just taking down the carriers...we're taking down SHIELD also...!"


"SHIELD had nothing to DO with this...!" argued Fury...!


"YOU gave me this mission...! This is how it ends!" challenged Capt, having
had enough of the lies and deceits of government policies...! "SHIELD'S
been compromised...! You said it yourself! Hydra grew right under your nose
and nobody noticed!"


"Why you think we're meeting in this cave...? -I noticed!" defended Fury!


"How many paid the price before you did...?" asked Capt!
	Fury sat back in his chair...


"Okay...I didn't know about Barnes..." he said, sincerely...!


"Even if you had, would you have told me...?" asked Capt [fired up]! "Or
would you have compartmentalized that too...? SHIELD...HYDRA...it all
goes...!" he insisted!


"He's right...!" said Agent-13, knowing it HAD to come to an end!
	Fury looked over at Hawkeye [who was clearly still in severe pain
after his surgery]...! Hawkeye looked at Fury, then nodded...! Fury then
looked up at Falcon...


"Hey, don't look at me..." he defended, having no say in the matter...!
"...I just do what HE does...only slower...!" he joked!


"Well..." said Fury, giving up...! "...looks like YOU'RE giving the orders
now, Captain...!" he said, relinquishing power to Captain America...!

SHIELD HEADQUARTERS Washington DC


	The building was all abuzz with the countdown to the launch of
Project Insight less than an hour away...! With all the chaos surrounding
the launch, nobody noticed the 3 agents [Capt, Hawkeye, and Falcon]
sneaking into the facility [all disguised as technician mechanics], and if
they did, they were quickly dealt with...!
	The trio made their way up to one of the main security offices,
then tampered with the codes to get inside! Hawkeye and Falcon pulled
weapons on the staff, telling everyone to lay down on the floor or be shot
where they stood..., while Capt got on the PA system...!


"Attention all SHIELD agents, this is Steve Rogers..." he said, just as
Alexander Pierce was toasting a lunch celebration with The Council in his
office...! "...you've heard a lot about me over the last few days...some of
you were even ordered to hunt me down...! But I think it's time you knew
the truth...!
	"SHIELD is not what we thought it was...! Its been taken over by
Hydra! Alexander Pierce is their leader! The STRIKE and Insight Crew are
Hydra as well! I don't know how many more...but I know they're in the
building...! They could be standing right next to you! They almost have
what they want..., -absolute control! They shot Nick Fury! It won't end
there! If you launch those carriers today, Hydra will be able to kill
anyone that stands in their way...! Unless we STOP them! I know I'm asking
a lot...but the price of freedom is high! It always has been! And it's a
price I'm willing to pay! And if I'm the only one, then so be it! But I'm
willing to bet I'm not!"
	Falcon walked up behind Capt...


"Did you write that down first...?...or was that off the top of your
head...?" he asked...!

THE LAUNCH CENTER


	Everyone was still standing around flabbergasted after Captain
America's speech, all looking around at each other, wondering WHO was
Hydra...? Just then Agent Rumlow walked in, going directly over to the man
with the launch codes...!
	"Preempt the launch sequence! We're sending the ships up NOW...!"
he ordered, as the computer tech sat by nervously...! "Is there a
problem...?" asked Rumlow, seeing the agent hesitate!


"I...I'm sorry sir..." said the tech [shaking like a leaf]...!
"...I'm...not gonna launch those ships...!" he said, defiantly...!
"Captain's orders!"
	Rumlow pulled a gun to his head...


"Move away from your station!" he ordered!
	Another agent walked up and placed a gun at Rumlow's head...!


"Like he said...Captain's orders...!" he repeated!
	Other agents pulled their guns, all at a standstill, still not
knowing who's who...?


"You picked the wrong side, Agent...!" said Rumlow!


"Depends on where you're standing...!" said the agent!
	A gun fight insured, with agents and Hydra getting shot left and
right! Rumlow managed to disarm the agent and punch in the launch codes
before escaping...!


	The underwater panels [hidden underneath a large makeshift pond
just outside the headquarters] started to open mechanically, draining the
water from the launch site as a warning buzzer sounded to let personnel
know to clear the launch area...! Any SHIELD agents trying to intercept
launch was immediately shot and killed, as the bay doors opened to reveal
the 3 helicarriers hidden underneath the Headquarters!
	Within a matter of minutes the carriers were ignited and launched,
rising up out of their holding pens as Hydra personnel rushed to their
stations...!
	From a side door came running Captain America and Falcon...rushing
towards the launch pad to intercept...!


"Hey Capt...how to we know the good guys from the bad guys...?" asked
Falcon, unsure WHO he should be fighting...!


"If they're shooting at you, they're bad!" reasoned Capt, leaping off the
end of the platform to fall some 30 or 40 feet before tumbling and rolling
to his feet...while Falcon leaped off the edge of the platform just as his
wings extended, allowing him to take solo flight into the air...!
	Capt was the first to receive enemy fire, as Hydra Agents started
shooting at him on sight! He ducked behind a pile of storage crates for
cover, then quickly subdued the first agent to come his way, knocking him
unconscious with just one punch and taking one of his grenades and tossing
it into the path of other Hydra agents, blowing them off their feet...! He
charged in, hitting whoever was in his path, punching them with his fists,
kicking them into next week with his boot, and slamming them with his
shield! With the door leading to his goal in his sights, he quickly
sprinted across the landing strip and ducked into the corridor...finding
his way into the `brain' of the ship, where he was quickly able to tap in
the codes and switch out the computer chip...!


"Cap...I think I found those bad guys you were talking about...!" said
Falcon [over his head-com], catching enemy fire as he soared up above the
carriers! He was able to dive-bomb ahead of the shells, using his unique
one man flying maneuvers to dodge impact as he zoomed lowly across the
carrier surface and knocked one of the antagonist aside with his foot...!
	"I'm IN...!" he said [prematurely], the door within his sights just
as a SHIELD Quinn-Jet loomed overhead...! "Oh shit...!" he sighed, taking
off as the jet flew in behind him, firing its cannon weapons at him, the
ammo hitting the ground as he dodged and weaved back and forth along the
jets, using their wings as cover as he flew towards the edge of the ship!
One of the parked jets exploded when a bullet hit its fuel tank, the impact
sent Falcon to the ground, causing him to retract his wings so he wouldn't
wreck them as he tumbled to safety!
	He got to his feet just as the pursuing jet came forth, leaving him
no choice but to leap off the edge of the carrier [backwards] while
shooting at the jet's windshield! The pilot pulled up at the last second,
just as Falcon fell backwards and extended his wings, resuming flight!


	Flying below the carrier, the Quinn-Jet quickly followed, firing
live missiles which targeted Falcon! Falcon knew he couldn't outrun the
missiles, so he'd have to out maneuver them! He made a large u-turn and
flew back underneath the carrier [the missiles hot on his heels]! He
managed to cause the first few to explode into the sides of the carrier
[causing minor damage], but the bulk of them continued to get closer as he
directed them towards the belly of the ship, then retracted his wings so he
could tumble out of the way quickly [letting gravity take its course] as
the missiles [unable to turn as fast] slammed into the ship's belly,
exploding on impact and causing an opening right where Falcon wanted...!
	He tumbled downward a few hundred feet, then extended his wings and
soared back up under the carrier and into the large hole the explosion
created...! Within seconds he was on the catwalk punching in the codes and
switching out the computer chip before fleeing back into the open air...!


"Two down, one to go...!" informed Hawkeye, sitting inside the security
booth, using their own computers to watch the launch...!

PIRECE'S OFFICE


"You smug sonovabitch...!" said one of the 3 councilmen!
	Pierce sat down his champagne glass just as security came into his
office...! The older Councilmen watched as the guards drew their weapons on
them...!


"Let me ask you a question, gentlemen..." said Pierce, sitting down his
cellphone to pick up another glass of champagne...! "...what if Pakistan
marched in here tomorrow, and you knew they were going to drag your
daughters out to be executed..." he theorized, passing the councilman the
champagne...! "...and you could just stop it with a flick of a switch...,
wouldn't you do it...? Wouldn't you all...?" he asked, looking around at
the other gentlemen...!


"Not if it was YOUR switch...!" defied the councilman, tossing his glass
aside [shattering it against the ground]...!
	Pierce smirked at his arrogance, then signaled one of the guards to
hand him a pistol...which him amply placed up to the man's forehead to
shoot...! But just then another councilman kicked the first one out of the
way, then grabbed Pierce's arm, disarming him [throwing his pistol (full
force) into the face of an approaching guard (breaking his nose)...], then
slapped Pierce in the face [disorientating him] before turning his
attention to the other 2 armed guards which he quickly subdued by kicking
one in the groin and slamming the other one's head to the table before
body-slamming him [hard] to the floor!
	The first guard [with the broken nose] picked up a pistol, but was
quickly neutralized with a throat punch to neck, knocking him
unconscious...! Pierce stood paralyzed...wondering how a Councilman over 60
could move so swiftly...?


"I'm sorry..." said the councilman, holding a gun on Pierce before tapping
a hidden device near his temple...digitally changing his face as he pulled
a sheer masked covering off his face to reveal himself as Agent-13...!
"...did I step on your moment...?" he asked, much to Pierce's chagrin...!
	Agent-13 passed the gun off to one of the other council members,
telling him to keep it aimed on Pierce while he walked over to Pierce main
computer and started punching in commands...!


"What're you doing...?" asked one of the councilmen...!


"He's disabling the security protocols and dumping all the secrets onto the
internet...!" said Pierce, able to read what was happening on the large
monitors placed against the wall...!


"Including Hydra's!" said Agent-13...!


"And SHIELD'S...!" reasoned Pierce! "If you do this, none of your past is
gonna remain hidden...! Are you SURE you're ready for the world to see WHO
you really are...?" he asked, trying to get into the agent's head...!


"Are YOU...?" asked Hill, continuing on with his work!


"Disabling the encryption is an executive order..." said Pierce, realizing
Agent Hill had hit a wall...! "...it takes two Alpha Level members to open
it...!"


"Don't worry..." said Hill, "...company's coming...!"
	Just then a SHIELD helicopter landed just outside Piece's
office...! He watched as someone got out on the far side of the chopper and
walked around towards the entrance...! He had a sinking suspicion WHO it
was when he saw the door open and in walked [the deceased] Nicolas Fury...!


"Did you get my flowers...?" asked Piece [referring to Nick's funeral]...!
	Fury didn't find his comment funny! "I'm glad you're here,
Nick...!" he said afterwards [regarding their close friendship]...!


"Really...?" asked Nick [his hand on his sheathed weapon]...! "I thought
you had me KILLED...!"


"You know how the game works...!" said Pierce!


"So why make me head of SHIELD...?" asked Fury, curiously!


"Because you're the best..." said Pierce! "...and the most ruthless man
I've ever met...!"


"I did what I did to PROTECT people...!" defended Fury!


"Our enemies are your enemies, Nick...! Disorder...war..., -it's just a
matter of time before a dirty bomb goes off in Moscow, or an EMP fires
Chicago...! Diplomacy...? A band-aid, Nick! And you know where I learned
that...? Bogota!
	"You didn't ask if you could go in and get those hostages...you
just did what had to be done! I can bring order to the lives of seven
billion people...by sacrificing 20 million! It's the next step, Nick...if
you have the courage to take it...!"


"No. I have the courage NOT to...!" defied Fury, grabbing Piece by the arm
and physically dragging him over to his monitor wall...!
	Hill punched in the necessary codes, as the computer chimed...


{`Retinal Scanner active.'}
	Pierce chuckles...


"You don't think we've wiped your clearance from the systems...?" he
asked...!


"I know you erased my password..." said Fury [on top of things]...! "...and
you probably deleted my retinal scan also...but if you want to stay ahead
of me, Mr. Secretary...you need to keep BOTH eyes open...!" he added,
removing his eyepatch [over his left eye] to reveal his scarred and damaged
one underneath!
	Pierce looked dejected, as he and Fury both looked into the eye of
the computer at the same time...!


{`Alpha level confirmed.'} said the computer! {`Encryption code
accepted. Safeguards removed.'}

ELSEWHERE


"Sam...?" called Steve Rogers [on his head-com], running from Hydra forces
as they prepare to blast him with their weapons...! "...I'm gonna need a
lift...!"


"Roger that, Capt!" said Falcon, soaring from one helicarrier to
another...! "Let me know when you're ready...!"
	Capt leaped off the edge of the carrier just as Hydra fried its
cannon and exploded on impact...!


"I just did!" yelled Capt, freefalling fast towards the ground as Falcon
dove to catch him before it was too late...! He reached out and grasped
Capt's hand, lifting him up to the third carrier where he dumped him on
deck...!


"You know, you're a lot heavier than you look...!" he complained, landing
and walking with him to the third rendezvous...!


"I had a big breakfast...!" joked Capt, just before being ambushed by The
Winter Soldier, who came out of nowhere [hiding behind a pile of crates]
and shoved Capt off the side of the carrier...!


"CAPT...!" yelled Falcon, rushing to go after him, when the Winter Soldier
suddenly grabbed his wing [with his bionic arm] and physically pulled him
back on deck...!
	Falcon took to the air immediately, hovering just above ground as
he pulled his weapons from his hips and started firing...! Bucky flipped
sideways out of the way, then ducked behind a metal tank! When Flacon took
that opportunity to fly on [still trying to save Capt], he left himself
open as The Winter Soldier hooked him with a cable gun, then yanked him
back to the ground [hard]...ripping off one of his metal wings...!
	Before Falcon could counteract, The Winter Soldier was on top of
him, kicking him off the edge of the carrier as he fell backwards to
certain death...!


"AHHHHHH...!!" he screamed as he fought to detach the second wing so he
could deploy his emergency chute...! He could see the ground getting closer
and closer before he finally cut the wing loose and pulled the cord to his
chute...!
	The parachute was just enough to break his fall, as he hit the roof
of SHIELD Headquarter...making a hard landing...!


"Capt! Capt, come in! Are you okay...?" he asked immediately into his mic
[afraid Capt might be dead]...!


"Yeah, I'm here..." struggled Capt, holding onto the side of the carrier,
climbing back up...! "...I'm still on the helicarrier...! Where are
you...?"


"I'm grounded..." said Falcon [looking up], sorrowfully! "...the suit's
down...! I'm sorry, Capt...!"


"Don't worry, I got it...!" said Capt, looking for a way inside...!
	The Winter Soldier stood overhead, peering down over the edge and
saw Capt climbing back onboard through one of the air vents...

SHIELD HEADQUARTERS


	Evacuations were being announced, as sirens and alarms went off,
warning employees of eminent dangers!
	Agent Rumlow stalked through the upper corridors, killing any
SHIELD agents he came cross...! Hawkeye had him on monitor, intercepting a
broadcast telling Rumlow that `The Council's been breached...!' Rumlow
reported he was on his way...! Hawkeye informed Falcon, who was just making
an entrance from the roof...!


"I'm on it...!" he said, kicking in a door and gaining access...!

PIERCE'S OFFICE


"Done!" said Agent Hill, seeing all of Hydra's secrets now streaming
online...!
	"It's trending...!" he said, just as Pierce grabbed his cellphone
off the table and pressed a button, causing the council members to fall out
in pain [dead]...! Hill and Fury both raised weapons on Pierce...who held
up his cellphone [his finger on the button]...!


"Unless you want a two inch hole in your sternum...I suggest you put the
weapons down...!" he advised...! "That pin you were given earlier was armed
the moment you put it on...!" he informed!
	Fury and Hill eyeballed each other...Fury knowing he had a clear
shot, but at the expense of his right hand man [and secret lover]...! Both
men lowered their weapons...!


"Good decision...!" said Pierce, making Hill move as he made his way over
to his main console...! "Lieutenant, how much longer...?" he asked, calling
the helicarrier...!


`Two minutes til satellite link, sir...!' said a voice over communications!
`Targeting grid engaged! Lowering weapons array now...!' he added, as an
array of smaller laser weapons lowered from a secret compartment underneath
the helicarriers...!


"Two minutes, Capt...!" warned Hawkeye, monitoring all communications from
security...!

HELICARRIER


	Steve ran across the catwalk leading to the power grid he needed to
access and substitute the last computer chip...but Bucky [The Winter
Soldier] was standing in his way!
	"People'r gonna die, Bucky..." he reasoned, staring into his
friend's unfamiliar gaze...! "...I'm NOT gonna let that happen...!" he
insisted, as they faced off eye to eye! "Please don't make me do this...!"
he begged, as Buck clinched his fists [ready to fight]!


	Seeing no other option, Steve threw his shield as fast as he could,
only to have it blocked by Bucky's mechanical arm! The Shield came back to
Steve's hand just in time for him to raise it and block a bullet Bucky shot
at him [pulling a gun out of nowhere]...!
