Subject: X-Love DELAY

Hello. I know it's been several months since I have submitted any chapters
of the series. At first, my chapter was somehow deleted near completion.
After that, I simply lost the time and the enthusiasm to write based on
issues in my personal life as well as doubts about whether or not I had the
ability to successfully finish the story. With any story, reader feedback
declines quickly, and there's nothing worse to me than writing 5 or 6
chapters and getting no response or indication of whether or not people are
satisfied. I do appreciate the wonderful and detailed feedback I received
and I hope that someday I can finish the story. If not, then just imagine
Scott and Logan happily ever after, fighting but still loving each other,
while Bobby and Peter rebuild their friendship and both find their own kind
of happiness in a hostile world. Thanks to Nifty for archiving this story;
if I ever manage to get a few more pennies together, I will send a donation
to help you keep this wonderful site running.

Since the subject matter of this story (people struggling in a world which
hates them for what they are born as) has some real-life parallels for me
and many of the readers, I wanted to take this quick chance to ask people to
do your best to oppose the Federal Marriage Amendment which is currently
being pushed through Congress. This amendment will not simply ban same-sex
marriage, as it's supporters love to point out. It will also ban ANY civil
union and will likely be used in court cases to discriminate against GLBT
persons on matters which have nothing to do with personal relationships.
This will treat us as second-class citizens for all time. There are many
people being backed by right-wing groups who are writing, petitioning, and
browbeating their friends, family and elected officials into supporting this
amendment. They want to make this THE 2004 campaign issue and they know this
issue divides so many Americans. I urge you to tell your friends and family
about this and get them to spread the word about the full ramifications law
that will not only discriminate against us, but countless future
generations. If enough of us and those we love write, complain, vote for
officials who will support us or at least not discriminate against us, and
make our voices heard, then maybe we stand a slim chance. Here is the URL
for the Human Rights Campaign ( http://www.hrc.org/ ) and Freedom to Marry
is another good website. If you need the addresses for your state
representatives in Congress, they are available on the Internet, but I can
provide a link if you e-mail me. I don't mean to shove politics (or anything
else) down your throat, but I feel this is one matter which crosses many
different boundaries and will have a devastating affect on us all. Thank
you.
