This is a re make of my original story, Hardcore X-Men. I realised that my
origianl story lacked plot and well was just plain terrible. This story is
written with the help of a fellow Nifty reader, Jackson White, so a big
thanx to him too.

This story is set in an alternate universe from the movies. Jean, Cyclops
and Xavier are all alive. Angel and Leech are now part of the mansion,
Juggernaut is missing, Magneto has his powers back and so does Mystique.

Chapter 10 - A New Enemy...

outside in the forest.

"Well, will you tell me what happened?" asks Xavier

Charles watches Logan as he leaves and sighs deeply. Had his morals been
different he would have entered Logan's mind and found out what happened,
but sadly, he wouldn't do that unless he had permission.

Cyclops or Gambit, but I decline.  I ask to take Logan, but he says no so I
decide to take Pete and Jubilee with me, just to make him happy.

I ask Pete and Jubilee if they wanna come with me on a trip and they say
yes. Now, I just have to figure out a way to get Logan there too, then the
idea practially hits me in the face, I conjure up a carbon copy of him with

while the real Logan comes with me, Jubilee and Pete.

I find Logan.

"I left a copy of you here in the mansion. Xavier made me bring someone

"It usually is. This is a rarity"

I conjure up a map, and I give Jubilee my wallet.

"Go buy some things. I'm gonna go see my parents."

"Yeah. See this shop here. I'll get you back here later on tonight at
around 7 ok. That's 6 hours away"

They both smile and I teleport away where no one can see me.  I go back to

all around her; most of them are burnt out. Surrounding her are three
mutants.

"We have to help" says Pete

"Wait first so we can see what's happening" says Jubilee holding him back

"You're coming with us dear" says a femle mutant to the girl

The girl stands there looking at the three of them.

"Make me" she says smiling

The mutant on her left fires a blue beam of energy at her from his hands,
she teleports out the way and returns with a Telekinetic blast sending him
flying. The other man on her right fires a lightning bolt at her, but she
reflects it, the woman releases a beam of fire at her and she teleports out
the way.

When she appears again, she Telekinetically lifts two cars and hurls them
at the three mutants, but a young man steps in the front of the cars and
freezes them with his hands.

"Stop fighting" he says

The girl looks at him, this gives the three mutants the chance they
need. The woman pulls out a whip and attacks the girl. When the whip raps
around her, an electric charge is released, she sreams in pain and falls to
the ground.

"Now can we help?" asks Pete

"Oh yeah" she replys

Pete transforms into his huge metallic form and runs out to help the
girl. Jubilee stands in front of them, protecting them.

"Move kid" she says to the boy and he runs over to Pete and stands beside
him.

"An X-Man?" cackles the woman with disbelief and the two men laugh too.

"Two X-Men" says Pete walking to stand beside Jubilee

"Please. Like you can stop us." says the woman

"What do you want with the girl?" asks Pete

"Like we'd tell you" winks the man with the Lightning power.

Pete growls at him.

"Turn around and leave" says Jubilee with a stern face.

"Little girl please. We could kill you in a heartbeat" says the woman

The woman, 5'10 with green hair and red eyes smiles at Jubilee. She raises
her hand quickly and a beam of fire shoots straight at Jubilee. The other
two men also release their powers, the boy raises his hands and freezes
their powers. Jubilee throws her hand out and blast of light bursts,
temporarily dazzling the three mutants.

Pete looks around him, ordinary people start to run away screaming as the
battle between the mutants begins. Police cars pull up and create a barrier
around the scene of the fight, protecting humans from the mutants.

<LEON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!> screams Jubilee as the woman releases
another beam of fire at her face.

***Leon's POV***

I have just teleported Logan back to the mansion when I hear Jubilee
screaming in my mind. Immediately, I teleport to the where she and Pete
are.

Pete is laying on the ground, his metallic chest is scorched from an
onslaught of abilities, and Jubilee is leaning over him.

"Leon"

"Well well, who's this?" asks the woman

I look over at the woman and two guys. She is standing tall, clearly very
proud of her powers and strength.

"Never you mind."

"Oh touchy" replies the woman.

"Kill him" she says and the men release their powers.

I teleport and fire my optic blasts at them, one hits the lightning based
man square on the chest and he flies back into a burnt out car and
collapses. I focus on the other man and get inside his head and project
hundreds of voices screaming in his head, he grabs his temples and falls to
the ground shouting for the voices to stop.

I look at the woman and try the same on her, but she stands there laughing.

"Please boy, you can do better than that. Parlor tricks don't work on me"

I float into the sky and cause thunder to rumble. Lightning streaks across
the sky.

"Now this is getting intresting" smiles the woman

She launches her power at me, a huge ball of fire. I spin into a tornado
and shoot down towards her, her fire power encircles me as I spin, turning
me into a flaming tornado.

The force of the wind causes flames to shoot from me to the surrounding
building and cars causing them all to errupt in fire.  As I reach the
woman, I spin out and fire a high voltage lightning bolt at her. It smacks
her clear on the chest and she flies backwards into a car.

<PROFESSOR XAVIER!> I send immediately

<YES LEON?>

<PROFESSOR, I GOT A SITUATION HERE. GET THE TEAM READY AT THE FRONT DOOR. I
NEED THEM>

<RIGHT AWAY>

"Jubilee, watch Pete"

"Ok"

I teleport away and arrive back at the manor.  Running through the front
door, I'm greeted with Logan, Cyclops, Bobby, John, Emma, Jean and Storm.

"We have to go, NOW. Take hold of each other"

They all join hands and I teleport us back to Glasgow City centre.

"Oh my god, what happened here?" asks Cyclops

"There are three mutants here. We need to get them. They're after that
young girl"

"Ok. Emma, Logan perimeter. Bobby, John, Leon see about these fires. Jean,
you, me and Storm will handle those three"

We all set off and get to work. Bobby releases a torrent of ice to quell
the fires, I make rain pour from the sky and John stands with his hand
stretched out in front of him, stopping the fires from growing any bigger.

Storm flies into the sky, thunder booms louder than I have ever heard
it. The innocent people that were lingering about to watch the fight, run
when they see Storm in the sky. Her eyes, shock white which are further
empahsised by her billowing white hair and in contrast to her dark
skin. She is a true picture of terror like this; even myself and some of
the others cower at her.

She raises her hands as if to encircle the three mutants and wind and
lightning circle down from the sky. The evil woman cackles a dark scream of
laughter and fires a bolt of Fire straight at Storm, hitting her in the
right arm. Stom turns to look at her, the woman cowers as Storm's
terrifying white eye's focus on her.

"Storm NO!" I shout

Storm throws her hand out and bolt of lightning shoots from the sky and
strikes the woman on the chest, piercing through her skin and out the other
end, the woman collapses on the ground. Her two companions shout in rage
and both release their powers together at Storm.

Jean uses her Telekinesis and stops one of the powers, Cyclops release an
optic blast and cancels the other one out.

I run over to the woman, she's alive but barely. I take hold of her and
teleport her back to the mansion and into the med bay. A mutant called
Beast is there, looking into a microscope, he jumps when I teleport in with
her.

"Beast heal her please. Storm's power injured her. Becareful though, she's
an enemy. Professor wants to see her" and then I teleport back

When I arrive back, I find Cyclops releasing beams of energy at the two
mutants. John is helping Bobby stand up, his left arm around Bobby's
waist. Jubilee is still kneeling over Pete. Storm is no longer in the air,
but laying on the ground beside Logan. Emma is in her Diamond form,
repelling the attacks from the two mutants. Jean is standing beside
Cyclops, repelling the attacks away from them both.

"Stop guys" and Jean and Cyclops stop using their powers, as do the enemy
mutants.

"What do you want?" I ask them

"We want that girl, we need her" says one

"Why?"

"Her powers are unique. our boss has purpose for her"

"And who is your boss?"

One goes to answer, but is immediately blown to piece, literally explodes
in front of us, blood and other body parts cover the street. His companion
stands there with a look of shock and fear on his face.

"I must go" he says and teleports away

"What the hell was that?" asks Logan

"Emma, Jean, you get a read on him?" asks Cyclops

"Nothing" replies Jean

"Same, just darkness. No soul or anything there" finishes Emma
