At 500 miles above Earth is Asteroid-M, a manmade construct composed completely by metallic rock, created by one of the world's most powerful mutant's named: Magneto! It's a floating fortress, designed for absolute privacy, far above spying ears and eyes, resting higher than the nearest satellite! The Avengers [Earth's Mightiest Heroes] are in-route to Asteroid-M in one of their specialized Quinn-Jets, soaring straight up from Avenger's Tower in Manhattan New York, housing some of the most powerful heroes known to man! Once in orbit, they begin gearing up, donning special spacesuits designed to help them breathe and maneuver normally in space without hindering their movements and/or powers...! "This is NO drill, Avengers..." said Capt, giving his power speech! "...we get into Magneto's fortress and we hit him hard and strong! Just remember there are 2 innocent children in there that we're trying to rescue...! THEY are our priority! If you find them, secure them, then get the hell OUT of there! We can't risk endangering them any more than absolutely necessary...! "THOR...you're up...!" The thunder-god of Asgard unlocked himself from his seatbelt, then floated over to the exit hatch at the top of Jet! Any and everything not nailed down was sucked out of the hole and into space! Mjolnir was summoned back to its master's hand, creating yet another HOLE in the face of Magneto's fortress! Inside the mutants were ready, Magneto, Juggernaut, and Mimic all soaring from inside the fortress [wearing specialized uniforms]! Magneto was the first to attack, using his power over magnetism to crush the Quinn-Jet like a beer can! The Avengers inside found themselves maneuvering out of their seats, all heading for the exit before the mutant could crush the jet IN on them, creating a metal tomb! THOR swirled his mighty hammer again [ready to throw another pass], when he was suddenly tackled by Juggernaut! The immoveable object slammed into him with jet propels in his space-boots as the 2 went blow for blow, knocking each other out of Orbit as they both tumbled back into the atmosphere...! The 2 would tumble all the way back to earth, with Thor knocking Juggernaut unconscious with Mjolnir before rescuing him for another stint in prison [The VAULT]! "Quickly..." said Capt, looking towards his CORE team...! "...get IN there and find those kids...!" Hawkeye, Falcon, and The Scarlet Witch all soared towards Asteroid-M [using the rocket boosters on their spacesuits to propel them forward], following Ms. Marvel [who (like THOR) didn't need a spacesuit to breathe] as she led the way, busting through the hole Thor made in the fortress's face to gain access inside...! "We're IN, Capt...!" she said into her ear-com, as the other Avengers landed in behind her! "Alright..." said Hawkeye, taking charge as the layout of the fortress's interior popped up on their on-arm computers...! "...Marvel and Falcon, to the left...! Scarlet Witch and I will head right...! If you find the children, do as Capt says and clear the building, THEY are the focus here, NOT Magneto and his hoods...!" he ordered, as the 2 teams spit in different directions! Soaring ahead, Ms. Marvel broke through every wall and metal door in her path, using her incredible strength and blasting powers as a sledgehammer with Falcon trailing closely behind, both checking every corner for any signs of the children! They didn't run into any problems or booby-traps until they came across Pyro, Avalanche, and Vertigo..., all standing guard in front of a large metal door...! "Looks like pay dirt...!" said Ms. Marvel, coming face to face with the opposition! Feeling better, Ms. Marvel sped forth, shooting power blasts from her fists as she chased Avalanche and Vertigo into the next room, leaving Falcon and Pyro alone to fight! Pyro started blazing the hallway with fire, creating a wall of flame to keep Falcon at bay! However unbeknownst to Pyro, The Avengers spacesuits were fireproof, allowing Falcon to soar straight through the burning wall [with temperatures well over a thousand degrees], pommeling the mutant in hand to hand combat! It was the last chamber that they found being covered by Magneto's men [Mystique and Toad]! Toad immediately leaped into action, bouncing off of walls at quick speeds! The Scarlet Witch couldn't get a lock ON him, and neither could Hawkeye who tried to nail Toad with concussion arrows...!
