A quick reconnaissance of the area told them that the building was secure, that the mutants had moved on to an undesignated part of the city. The fire on the 10th and 11th floors were quickly extinguished, and the bodies of fallen comrades were collected and taken back to The Citadel where they would be prepped and sent to their families for proper burials. A search effort was launched, with Mutant Hounds being brought in to sniff out and find the two fugitives. The Genosha Government leaned a long time ago to fight fire with fire, using mutants to find and control mutants! "Bring in The HELL HOUNDS...!" ordered the officer, as a small kennel copter was flown in from the Citadel, the occupants: 3 mutant psychics, all dressed in black leather with DOGG collars and leashes. They were conditioned to behave like hound DOGGS, sniffing out mutants with their psychic abilities, chasing them down before they could make their grand escapes or alert the authorities of their whereabouts or conditions... "Let them LOOSE!" ordered the officers, watching as The Hounds caught onto a psychic scent, then followed it off the Resort ground... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Not far away in a remote storage area several blocks from the Resort, Wolverine shoved the Soldier face down over a crate, then [popping just ONE of his claws], ripped a slit in the officer's uniform, exposing his hairy ass... Aside from Med-Labs and The Danger Room, is the X-Men's War Room, where they often gathered in secret to discuss tactics. It was there that Forge informed his fellow faculty members [Forge, Beast, Professor-Xavier/Mountjoy, Polaris, Angel, Calisto, and Banshee] that... "We've LOST communications with Storm, Wolverine, Cyclops, and Bishop in Genosha...!" The X-Men up-roared... "But before any red flags go up and we start readying The Blackbird for an across seas rescue, let me just say it might not be serious...! It could be anything from simple satellite interference, to a mere communications glitch...! It doesn't have to be anything nefarious as far as The Genoshian Government is concerned...!" "HOW will we know...?" asked Angel, simply. "Well..." thought Forge... "...I could TRY to set up another link to the transmitter...and HOPE to piggyback on the single we already have, or..." "OR we could take a quick trip out to Genosha and see what's going on for ourselves...!" said Banshee. "They're supposed to be a mutant friendly country..., what would they have against US wanting a tour of their facilities...?" "That sounds risky..." said Xavier/Mountjoy, "...especially without knowing WHAT happened to the others yet...! We could be setting ourselves up for a trap, or worse yet, a WAR with another country...! The United States wouldn't sit well with that...! Especially not in these dire political times!" "I can't believe you're discussing politics while our FRIENDS might be lying in a ditch somewhere!" argued Banshee. "I understand the call for action is great..., but it doesn't sit well to make rash decisions off emotions! We NEED to think of a Plan-B...! I can't believe we sent them out there without one! That was VERY shotty leadership!" said Xavier, placing the blame on Polaris. "Okay..." said Polaris, taking the shot on the chin. "...what do we do...? Do we send ANOTHER team in to find the first...? Or do we charge in and risk an International Incident?" "There is a THIRD option..." said Xavier, just before Security Alarms sounded on school grounds! "We have an Intruder Alert!" announced Beast, pulling up video feed of the grounds... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ JUST BEFORE X-Students: Rogue, Havok, Nightcrawler, and Weapon-X [the only students without any families to visit during summer vacation], were playing a cheerful game of `mutant football' with their new MORLOCK counterparts: Tether [the human reptile], Mole [the gopher], Smoke, Ghost, and Lady Bug; when something completely unexpected happened. Havok had just thrown the ball, when Nightcrawler teleported to catch it before it could be intercepted by Ghost or Smoke, only to be interrupted by an electrical disturbance as a Worm Hole opened up, and a Battalion of heavily armored Genoshian Storm Troopers passed through... "YIKES...!" teleported Nightcrawler [leaving the football to bounce on the ground] to the second floor window of his room where he looked out from a safe distance... The Storm Troopers shot in a wave of laser fire, shooting up anything and everyone in their paths. Fortunately for both Smoke and Ghost, the lasers simply passed through their intangible forms harmlessly... "What the hell...??!" asked Havok, startled as the grounds were quickly overrun by Armored Troopers... "Down! Get DOWN!" yelled Tether, diving for the ground as motorized sled [carrying 2 Troopers] came barreling through the opening; just barely missing them. Mole burrowed underground in an instant, leaving his companions topside. Weapon-X was the first to establish a defense, popping his miniature claws and rushing into battle [believing them agents from Department-H]... "Yuro, wait...!" yelled Havok, fearing the boy might get hurt. Yuro charged the Storm Troopers, slicing through the first one and cutting straight through his armor to the bone [blood gushing from the metal slits]... Other Troopers zeroed in on him, a second off the target as Yuro back flipped and somersaulted through the air like an acrobat. Drawing fire away from the others so they could escape... "Rogue..., take the others back to the mansion...! Lock them down inside and alert the X-Men what's going on out here...!" ordered Havok. "What about YOU...?!" asked Rogue, ducking through all the ciaos. "I'm going to help Yuro!" he said, running towards The Troopers... "I'm going too!" said Tether [his scaly skin, sharp teeth, and alligator tail making him a dead ringer for a family of reptiles], running after him. "Me too!" said Lady Bug, flying forth on insert wings and a fiery disposition. "Oh well..." said Rogue, joining the party after realizing NONE of them were going anywhere... Havok released a powerful burst of extremely hot plasma, which ripped from the center of his soul and projected outwardly across the school grounds, smashing through anything it hit. Several of The Troopers were scattered by the blast, as metal sharplings from their armor ripped off and flying everywhere. Tether was able to quickly dodge most of the gunfire against him, using his amazing tail to sweep soldiers off their feet in one manned Battlesuits, tearing at their armor with ultra-sharp nails... Lady Bug used highly intense fireballs to chard and melt the chest plates of The Battlesuits, causing soldiers to eject or have the fireballs burn straight through their armor... Smoke was able to dissipate his physical body and take form of actual smoke, allowing him to seep through the air vents in the armor and attack the soldiers from inside by clogging their breathing passages with thick black smoke... Ghost [yielding the powers of a poltergeist] simply went on a rampage, physically hitting and knocking over everything in his way! Meanwhile Mole [whom everyone believed ran away], burrowed tunnels underground, causing the entire landscape The Troopers walked on to cave in, trapping many of them in a large pitfall... The X-Students seemed to have everything under control, until another mutant codenamed: Sync [an AGENT of The Genoshian Government] came through the wormhole and hit Weapon-X with the ability to stop pockets of time within a short distance, catching Weapon-X while in mid flip, causing him to move in slow motion and allowing The Troopers the opportunity they needed to pick him off. Havok was the next to go, when he was attacked by a fast moving blur, which knocked him instantly on his ass with what felt like a punch. He was surprised to see The X-Men's own teammate Northstar soar down in front of him, an angry alien look across his face just before beating him to a pulp with a series of fast moving fists... "Jean-Paul, what're you DOING...???" asked Rogue in disbelief, wondering what got into her teammate...? "ALEX...!" she screamed, as Northstar picked Havok's unconscious body up off the ground and flew him back through the wormhole! Rogue ran after them, only to come face to face with one of The Troopers... Nightcrawler saw his friend in trouble, and teleported down into the battle zone where he latched himself to the large globe like helmet of the Trooper, then teleported him and his Battlesuit to The Salem City Police Department. The Trooper opened fire [believing he was attacking Rogue], hitting a cop instead, and causing every cop in the building to open fire on him! "Thanks elf...!" said Rogue, after Nightcrawler teleported back to make certain she was okay. By then the adult X-Men came to the rescue with Polaris using her powers over magnesium to render the metal Battleuits useless; Banshee hit several Troopers with his sonic scream, causing their suits to disrupt and malfunction on the spot; Cannonaball simply barreled through the onslaught of enemies, knocking them all off their feet like bowling pins; while Mountjoy, Calisto, Angel, and Beast fought their ways through the adversaries, getting their hands dirty in hand to hand battle. The Storm Troopers turned on their rocket launchers and retreated back through the wormhole, escaping with 2 mutant juveniles. "Their getting' away...!" yelled Calisto, dodging after them before being sucked through the wormhole... "CAL...!!" yelled Angel, seeing his lover sucked through just before The Hole closed up, cutting off access. "CAL...!" cried Angel, swooping down in flight, landing where he last saw his lover... "Where'd they take him...?!" he wondered aloud, in tears... "Back to Genosha, no doubt...!" said Beast, still pumped from the fight. "They have Yuro and Havok too...!" informed Rogue, sadly... "Then heaven help The Genoshians..." joked Beast, knowing both boys could be a handful... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Pt-3<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< GENOSHA The Citadel is The Capital Building of The Genosha Government, the place where laws are passed and governed, where mutants are detained and trained to become law abiding citizens of the country, where they declare their loyalties, or die trying to escape. The wormhole was opened, allowing The Troops to pass through from one space to another safely; however today, they were being accosted by two of the refugees they fought to capture as Weapon-X and Havok ripped ciaos on the journey back to Genosha! "INCOMING...!!" informed the Troopers, diving for cover as Plasma Blasts burst through the wormhole, smashing through the walls of The Citadel and destroying computers and equipment alike. From the wormhole came Yuro, stabbing, slicing, and dicing through everything in his path as he went on a blood berserk rampage! Havok swiftly followed, using his mutant abilities to destroy everything that wasn't American! Technicians in white lab coats dove behind desks and metal file cabinets for cover as The Storm Troopers fired back, trying to capture the mutant menaces [or put them down for good]! They fired rapidly upon the pair, narrowly missing them several times and accidentally catching some of their own technicians. Just before the Warm Hole closed, Calisto charged through, moving as swiftly as a shadow as he went from Trooper to Trooper, knocking them Offline and breaking their protective dome covered helmets, leaving their heads exposed to danger. During his rampage, Yuro came across the mutant responsible for opening the Worm Holes; a mutant male hooked up to a large machine for which he powered, giving The Genoshians the ability to jump space into any country they wanted, stealing mutants and weapons from anywhere in the world they wanted. In fact, their very Battle Armor was stolen from laboratories in Wakanda Africa, technology The Black Panther's chief scientists were working on for their own army. Yuro leaped over the machines keeping the mutant prisoner, and cut him free. The mutant fell from the machines weakened by the vast amounts of energies it took to teleport The Storm Troopers from Genosha to America and back. "Havok..., the lights!" yelled Calisto, pointing at the grids powering the entire building. Havok used his plasma powers to take out a Citadel wall, causing a building wide blackout as the entire Citadel plunged into darkness. The X-Men quickly used the confusion and ciaos to their advantage as they slipped away in the darkness before the backup generators could kick in, illuminating most of the corridors... "FIND THEM...! THEY COULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN FAR...!" ordered the Citadel's Chief Magistrate. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Pt-3<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< MEANWHILE Wolverine continued to run through the streets of Genosha as an outlaw, hiding in alleyways between buildings, behind cars, and in the shadows. He and Bishop separated [believing they had a better chance of reaching The Citadel separately]. He could see the large building in the distance, its skyscraper towering over smaller buildings like The Empire State Building in New York. He was just about to make his way forward, when he was spotlighted by a Police Helicopter overhead... "GOOD WORK, PSYLOCKE..." said the Trooper holding the third Hell Hound on its leash. "...YOU'VE FOUND THE MUTANT..., NOW ATTACK!" he ordered, sending the psychic mutant forth to kill! Psylocke leaped from the helicopter like a ninja warrior, landing on his feet before rushing in attack mode. Wolverine extended his claws as he waited for the battle to come to him. Psylocke attacked Wolverine's mind, pulling the image of someone he was most concerned of; causing him to see visions of Scott in physical pain, being tortured by the Governing body of The Citadel. But what was meant to weaken Wolverine and make him accessible to attack, only made him stronger as he went into an animalistic rage! Psylocke was taken by surprise as he physically somersaulted through the air like a skilled Olympian acrobat, landing in close vicinity of Wolverine where he began using karate like combat to defeat his foe. Wolverine [well versed in all styles of Asian combat] deflected most of Psylocke's blows, giving him a run for his money. However Psylocke [being a world class psychic] was able to place false images directly into Wolverine's head, making him lounge in areas where no one was standing, causing him to leave himself open to attack. "URHHH...!" grunted Wolverine, as he was hit from behind. Psylocke created another image of a speeding car barreling to run Wolverine down. Wolverine leaped to dodge the phantom car, only to be gut kicked by the ninja Psylocke. "URRHH...!" he responded, feeling the impact. Knowing he couldn't trust his senses, Wolverine took to running, only to run in the wrong direction [also thanks to Psylocke] and into a brick wall. Psylocke was there on top of him, using his psychic knife [the total concentrate of his psychic ability] to STAB Wolverine in the back of the head, taking total control of his psyche. "GOOD JOB, PSYLOCKE...!" said his masters, lowering the helicopter within inches of the ground. "BRING HIM ONBAORD...! WE'LL FIND THE OTHER ONE LATER...! HE COULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN FAR!" Bishop peeked around the corner as the helicopter carrying Wolverine lifted towards the sky. Bishop came out of hiding, wearing one of The Battle Armor Suits. Unsure how to operate the machine, he began pushing buttons, causing a number of gadgets to begin operating and deploy before his rocket boots fired up, taking him airborne. It took several minutes [and several accidents] to get the machine to fly right, but soon Bishop was following the helicopter as it soared towards the top of the tallest building; The Command Citadel! The helicopter landed safely within the designated zone. Troopers and prisoners began to unload as Bishop came barreling through [out of control]... "INCOMING...!" yelled one of The onlookers, as Bishop's Battlesuit crash landed on the roof top. Medics came to the rescue as Bishop's Battlesuit was recognized as the one missing in battle at The Resort. Fire extinguishers were released, just in case of malfunction and compartment breech [which could result in an explosion]. Bishop's Battlesuit was rolled over onto its back, as release vales were unhinged to allow the safe removal of The Suit... "You're not Clive..." said one of the Medics, getting a rude awakening when Bishop punched him directly in the face. "MUTANT!" yelled one of The Troopers, as Bishop released one last deploy from his suit before abandoning it; --the rocket launcher! A small caliber missile shot across the roof top and exploded on impact, destroying the Citadel's communications tower as well as several floors below. Troopers began the evacuation of the building, leaving Psylocke and his mental slave [Wolverine] to clean up the mess...
