	Title: INTRODUCING THE STARJAMMERS

NEVADA


	The X-Men's Blackbird was returning from Area-51 in Nevada, when it
was intercepted by an outer-world vessel! The odd looking space ship
descending quickly on the X-Men, causing Hank McCoy [Beast] to evade a
collision by trying to out maneuver the pilot, but the ship stayed in close
pursuit as it forced The Blackbird to fly lower than what was considered
safe!
	From the X-Men's escape hatch came Banshee, Polaris, and Storm, all
airborne as they prepared to defend the Blackbird and its occupants from
whoever the aggressors were!


"The ship is HUGE..." said Banshee, spreading his arms to allow the winds
to catch in his underarm flaps [light frequency vibrations from his sonic
scream enabling him to fly]! "...like the length of a 50 story office
building!"


"Don't let that intimidate you..." said Storm [using her powers to control
the weather to generate wind currents strong enough to make HER fly]!
"...it's threatening the Blackbird, therefore it HAS to be taken down!"


"Easier said than done!" responded Polaris [using her magnetic powers to
levitate the metals in her costume, enabling HER to fly]! "We're not even
sure our powers will affect it...!" she added, focusing on the ship's
underbelly as she attempted to rip the seams using her magnetic abilities!
	She DID manage to rip a few panels off the exterior's strange
metals, before a weapons cannon descended from one of the hatches, then
began shooing some sort of plasmic force in defense!


"Evasive maneuvers...!" shouted Polaris, dodging the gunfire as she dropped
lower!
	Storm rose up high into the sky and opened the heavens by summoning
a series of lightning bolts that struck the craft with over 100,000 volts
of energy! The ship disbursed space-mines, designed to explode on impact or
by remote detonator! Storm barely got out of distance before the mines
began exploding, lighting up the sky with the sound of thunder!


	The Blackbird was forced to make an emergency landing as the rest
of the X-Men exited the jet in order to defend it! Lilandra looked up and
saw the big craft hovering overhead...


((("Don't Charles..."))) she pleaded telepathically, recognizing the craft
in pursuit! ((("...I know them...they are my protectors!")))


"Lilandra...are you SURE...??!" asked Xavier, attempting to mentally scan
the occupants to determine whether they were hostile or not...? ((("X-Men,
stand down...!"))) he ordered, taking her at her word!
	The X-Men watched as the ship hovering overhead suddenly beamed
down its occupants, 2 humanoids [one with brown hair, a thick mustache, and
big bushy sideburns, resembling a human MAN; one part humanoid part
machine, a living cyborg; and the third occupant a 7' tall lizard like
manimal with sharp teeth and scaly skin]!


<"LILANDRA!"> yelled the human man, all donning huge space guns in case the
battle wasn't over...!


"CORSAIR!" shouted Lilandra, deeming The X-Men allies! "I want you to meet
Charles Xavier and his X-Men..." she introduced, as the X-Men drew in
closer behind her...! "...they saved me from my captives...!"


"So I see..." said Corsair, "...and I see they taught you how to speak
perfect English as well...!" he added with a smile! "I am CORAIR, leader of
The Starjammers...! By trade we are space pirates, we scavenge the galaxies
searching for lost and abandoned vessels that might hold vast fortunes..."


"But as of lately, they have been my strongest allies..." said Lilandra,
proudly! "...when our transport ship was attacked, I recalled Corsair
saying he was from Earth...! So I came here to escape...!"


"Good idea, my Queen...but we can't stay here..." advised Corsair, "...if
WE could track you here, then so could The Imperial Guard! It's only a
matter of time before they arrive to finish what they started! We must GO!"


"Yes..." agreed Lilandra, "...I will NOT risk Earth and its inhabitants...!
Let us depart!"


"Lilandra..." called Xavier, grabbing The Queen's arm... "...where will you
go...?"


"Where my adversaries least expect..." said Lilandra, "...back to my home
world to retrieve my throne, and my rightful place as ruler!"


"Your home world..." said Xavier curiously, worried he might never see her
again! "...where is that...?"
	Lilandra held Xavier's hand, then gently placed the tips of her
finger from her free hand up to his temporal lobe, access his brain with
visuals from her past...!

"If we don't STOP D'Ken and help get Lilandra back as rightful ruler...,
the war could and WIL spill over into THIS galaxy as well..." added
Corsair, "...and I assure you, X-Men..., Earth is not ready to deal with
THAT kind of war!"


"I want to GO with you, Lilandra...!" ventured Xavier, much to the surprise
of his X-Men! "I want to HELP as well!"


"Charles...I couldn't..." said Lilandra, knowing it was likely they would
fail...!
	Corsair walked up...


"We COULD use all the help we can afford, my Queen...!" he suggested...!


"Are you SURE, Charles...?" asked Lilandra, touched by his loyalty and
devotion!


"Yes!" said Xavier confidently, before turning to his X-Men...! "I don't
know how long I'll be gone..." he said sadly, giving his goodbye speech...!
"...but I leave the school, the mansion, and my dreams of uniting mutants
and humans in your capable hands...!"


"What'r you talkin' bout, Chuck...? We're goin' with ya...!" said
Wolverine, speaking for everyone!


"The X-Men are a FAMILY..." agreed Polaris, "...where one go, we all go!"


"Besides...what fun will it be sitting back here while YOU have all the fun
in space...?!" added Bishop [his arm protectively wrapped around his woman,
Storm]!


"Someone has to stay behind to watch over the school and its students..."
said Xavier, worried about their outcome...!


"They still have Angel, Forge, Calisto, Dr. MacTaggert, Jean, Gambit, and
the others..." reasoned Storm!


"Then it's settled..." said Corsair, "...let's board, every minute we waste
here is another minute The Imperial Guard has to get closer to catching
us!"
	Cyclops turned to his brother Havok...


"Go back..." he insisted, not wanting to endanger his brother's life!
"...you're not an X-Man yet, there's no need for YOU to put your life in
danger...!"


"Hell NO!" answered Alex, defying his older brother! "I'm not letting YOU
out of my sight..., not after nearly losing you the last time you went on a
mission without me...! [Havok was referring to nearly losing his brother in
Genosha]!


"Alex...we don't have TIME for this...!" insisted Cyclops!


"I know..." agreed Alex, running ahead to rejoin the rest of the crew,
"...so you'd better keep up...!" he laughed, as Cyclops took up the rear!
	Corsair signaled to his crew back on the ship, as he and The X-Men
all beamed back up into the large Starjammer vessel, then took off into
outer space, leaving message for the remaining X-Men to pick up the
Blackbird and the Blackhawk somewhere in the remote desert of Nevada...!

	Corsair introduced Xavier and The X-Men to his crew [Raza (half
Shi'ar, half cyborg), Ch'od (a Saurid born green skinned reptile like
creature standing over 7' with the muscle mass of a giant bull frog),
Keeyah (a Kree born blue skin space warrior), Korvus (a Shi'ar born,
weapons men), Goblin (a green skin Skrull born shape-shifter), and Vulcan
(another human male)!


"Quite a diverse team of pirates..." said Xavier, "...I'm curious..., how
did a HUMAN male get involved with such a diverse group of aliens...?" he
couldn't help asking...!


"My story is an interesting one, to say the least...!" laughed Corsair,
thinking if his past [as his crew gave The X-Men a tour of the ship]...! "I
was born on Earth..., Anchorage Alaska! I worked for NASA as a test pilot
for their new aircrafts...! I was returning from vacation with my family
aboard my private plane, when we were intercepted by a Shi'ar Starship
doing reconnaissance in the area! I...I tried to maneuver and outrun
it...but it was far too advanced for my tiny twin engine! It attacked us
for no reason! The plane burst into flames as my WIFE took our two children
and fitted them with the only parachute she could find...! She pushed them
out of the plane to safety, watching as the parachute opened somewhere over
the Alaskan Gulf...! The plane went down shortly thereafter, but Katherine
and I found ourselves aboard The Shi'ar Starship, at the mercy of its
captain, -D'Ken! D'Ken KILLED my wife when I dared to fight back! He threw
ME into the Slave Pits of Alsibar, where I met most of my crew; Raza,
Ch'od, and Kreeyah! Together we escaped and stole this Starship! We renamed
it The Starjammer, and found Korvus, Goblin, and Vulcan along the way...!"


"Your CHILDREN..." said Cyclops, realizing Corsair's story sounded eerily
close to his own [Scott knew he and his brother Alex were shoved out of a
burning plane over Alaska by their mother, but became separated through the
orphanage they were raised in afterwards]...! "...what happened to your

"I...I don't know..." said Corsair, sounding distraught! "...I like to
believe they survived somehow..., but the odds were against them...!"


"What were their names...?" asked Cyclops, curiously!
