The Shi'ar
home world...


	From the vantage point of space, The Shi'ar homeworld: AERIE looks
like a peaceful planet with purple majestic mountains, green skies and
black waters! But a closer look onto the surface would find its people in
disarray, on the brink of war which many found unnecessary! Clusters of
Shi'ar citizens gather outside the Throne Palace of The Majestrix, praying
to their gods [SHARRA & K'YTHRI] that an absolution would come before it's
too late!
	Far above the planet a Shi'ar Class Destroyer came into Aerie
airspace! One of the Generals from Flight Control asked WHY The Destroyer
was coming back from its mission so early, when Captain S'Tyr said [on the
view screen] from his command chair... "We've completed our mission and
destroyed The StarJammers and their crew..., including the imposter
impersonating The Majestrix...!" he lied, getting a cheer from the ground
crew in the background! "We seek to replenish with supplies and repair...!
Our ship sustained some damage in the battle...!"


"Good work, Captain!" said The General! "Then by all means, come HOME...you
and your men have earned it!"


"Thank you, General! S'Tyr out!" said the captain, taking a deep breath
once he was off screen! "We DID it!" he glee [Professor Xavier's face
appearing where S'Tyr's once was], as The X-Men and StarJammers all turned
around in their seats [acting as crewmen]!


"I'm shocked they didn't perform an online scan..." said Raza, the
StarJammer's senior pilot! "...they would have learned only a small handful
of beings on the main bridge were in fact Shi'ar..., the rest are made up
of human, Skrull, and Kree!"


"Perhaps it is a bit of ARROGANCE on their part..." suggested Ch'od [the
big scaly Saurid reptilian warrior]! "...believing no one could possibly
penetrate Shi'ar airspace! It's an assumption they will find fatal before
long!"


"One that will NOT be repeated once I am back in office!" exclaimed
Lilandra, seeing the flaws in her generals!
	The Destroyer flew into fleet, attaching itself to an orbiting port
for internal and external diagnostics! The flight crew was cleared to exit
the ship by fleet personnel, who only saw the crew as Shi'ar crewmen,
unaware that their brains were being affected by Xavier as he lead them to
believe they were interacting with the flight crew themselves!
	Xavier and The X-Men were soon teleported down into Chandiler [the
capital city of The Shi'ar], and escorted to The Royal Palace where they
were to meet with the Majestrix's generals to describe what happened in
space! The X-Men couldn't help but admire the alien city and its beautiful
buildings, glistening gleaming structures that reached as high as the eye
could see, with towering bridges connecting buildings from miles high above
ground! Even with its residents in turmoil and despair [gathering outside
The Palace to pray], the X-Men could tell it was a city of wonder and
magic!
	Within the PALACE, a group of trusted generals and advisors
[members of Lilandra's trusted Council] walked into the Throne Room to give
the good news [that the `threat' had been eliminated] to their majesty!
D'Ken sat in his sister's throne while [the fake] Lilandra awaited dotingly
by his side!


"Where is the body...?" asked D'Ken, as the Council muttered about
themselves...!


"The body...?" questioned one of the generals! "...would have been
obliterated in the explosion, your majesty...!" he reasoned to a defiant
king!


"Without a body, how do we KNOW the imposter has been eliminated...?" asked
D'Ken! "Did anyone actually SEE it get blown up...?" he asked!


"Yes..." answered the general, stepping aside as The Destroyer's Captain
and crew walked in from the palace foyer...! "...this is Captain S'Tyr,
commander of the Destroyer that burnt The StarJammer into oblivion!
Captain...?" introduced the general, fully expected S'Tyr's testimony to be
enough to satisfy The Queen's brother's concerns...!
	S'Tyr stepped up from the group, staring D'Ken eye to eye...! D'Ken
sat back on the throne, one leg carelessly thrown over the arm rest,

Majestrix's personal protective army; The Imperial Guard!
	The Council ran for cover as D'Ken and [the fake] Lilandra defended
themselves! Queen Lilandra ran after her impersonator, when she was
suddenly cut off by the red energy whips of the Imperial Guard: HUSSAR! The
whip wrapped about Lilandra's throat, as Hussar yanked her backwards away
from what she believed was the real Queen! Lilandra spun through the air
like a top [as the whip uncoiled from around the neck], sending her falling
backwards several dozen yards on her ass before finally coming to a halt
across the shiny palace floor!


"Destroy them!" ordered D'Ken, as the rest of the Imperials came running!
"Kill the intruders! Destroy them all before they get our beloved

Imperials as they flew in from a nearby chamber [never far from The
Royals]! Ch'od [the biggest target] was struck first by GLADIATOR [the
leader of The Imperials with superman like powers], tackled like a
linebacker in the NFL as Gladiator [far more superior in strength and
endurance] took Ch'od out easily! Colossus [in steel form] ran to Ch'od's
aid, pulling Gladiator off the reptile's back and punching him headlong
into a far off wall! Gladiator hit the wall [without penetrating], and
smiled...! Colossus looked perplexed as Gladiator [who rarely got the
opportunity to fight someone of equal strength] slammed into the Russian
mutant with all the strength his muscular body could muster! The 2 soared
into another chamber, where Gladiator seemed to easily pummel Colossus

were thrown apart separately! The Imperial: MANTA [capable of seeing in
inferred in the darkest reaches of space] hit Havok with a blinding light

ASTRO [the illusionist], pulling forth one of Scott's worse nightmares:

causing him to lose consciousness!


	With seven already down [Ch'od, Colossus, Havok, Cyclops, Bishop,
Korvus, and Goblin], the rest of The X-Men and StarJammers go on the
defensive, firing whatever they could to try to keep the opposition back,
the X-Men found themselves constantly on the defense! "We're being
slaughtered here...!" attested Beast, he and Wolverine dodging attacks with
their superfast athleticism!


"We need to retreat and regroup!" suggested Corsair, he Raza, and Keeyah
shooting rapidly as what was left of their teams fell back, searching for
safety!


	Just then strong WINDS began to pick up as Storm went into defense
mode, creating a mini-hurricane within the palace as the strong winds were
soon accompanied with heavy rains, sleet, and the roar of thunder!
	Banshee let loose with a sonic scream that ripped through The
Imperials like a shockwave, sending several cast [Manta, Astro, and Pulsar]
exploding through the shattered palace floor! The three Imperials fell
straight through into the chamber below, temporarily taken out of the
fight!!!
	Banshee was on his way to forming another attack when he was
countered by The Imperial: ORACLE, who used his powers of telepathy to send
Banshee careening into a nearby wall he didn't notice was there! The X-Man
slammed headlong into the wall and was instantly rendered unconscious!
	Oracle was then tackled by Wolverine, who came out of nowhere and
coldcocked the alien with one blow to the jaw with his steel-like fist!


	Vulcan [seeing his biological bothers in lying unconscious] took
his revenge on Starbolt! Starbolt saw Vulcan hovering near Cyclops's body

and drew the energy directly from Starbolt's body, affectively snuffing out
his flame and leaving him powerless as The Imperial fell weakly to the
floor before passing out!


	Vulcan fell to his knees, the power he absorbed almost too much for
him to contain! He needed to release it quickly or implode from within!
	From across the room he could see the oversized Imperial [Titan]
barreling down on his friends! Keeyah, and Raza's cannon fire was doing
little to keep him at bay as he inched his way closer and closer! Seeing
his opportunity, Vulcan stood and aimed his arms in Titan's direction

explosion caught the attentions of the crowds gathering outside, as Titan's

mimicking the imposter's form as TWO dragons now stood in the same
corridor, facing one another!
	Corsair and Xavier stepped aside as Goblin and the impersonating

"Come ON..., before D'Ken gets away...!" shouted Corsair, taking a detour
