	The X-Men and The StarJammers continued to fall one by one when The
Imperials [Pulsar, Manta, Astro, Landslide, and Gladiator] regrouped!
	Wolverine shoved Lilandra aside when Pulsar's energy photons
started firing upon them! Lilandra grabbed the first fallen laser cannon
she saw and began firing back [rapidly], but Wolverine caught the bulk of
the quick fire from Pulsar, his photon blasts burning through Wolverine's
body as the X-Man fell backwards on the ground in a bloody heap!
	Cyclops awakened just in time to see Wolverine fall, the last of
their HOPES shattered as The X-Men and The StarJammers lay scattered about
the palace!


"NNNOOOOOOOOO...!!!!" screamed Scott, as the entire Palace began to shimmy
and shake! Gladiator and the rest of The Imperial Guard looked dumbfounded
as a fiery image of a bird suddenly appear about Cyclops' body as the young
X-Man stood in the center while debris arose up around him telekinetically;
hovering about like magic before his eyes sparked and a red optic beam
[mixed with a powerful telekinetic/psy-bolt] shot from his visor like red
lightning! The beam traveled through time and space for only a second,
hitting Pulsar head-on, the impact causing an explosion of magnum
proportions as HALF the palace exploded away, leaving no trace of the
Imperial at all!


"PULSAR...!" called Gladiator, seeing one of his Guardsmen literally
destroyed!


"Oh my god...what's happening...?" asked Polaris, rising up off the floor
[after finally recovering from Darkside's earlier attack {last chap}]!


"Oh no..." said Beast, recognizing the fiery bird surrounding Cyclops!
"...it's PHOENIX...! She's returned...through Scott..." he informed, as
everyone conscious looked on in disbelief...! "...heaven HELP us...!" he
whispered, as another epic battle was about to ensue...!

	Just then Professor Xavier/Mountjoy returned to the battle with his
mind-slave [D'Ken], Corsair, and Goblin [the 3 having just defeated the
imposter Lilandra/Skrull and kept D'Ken from getting away in an escape ship
{last chapter}]! They all stopped when they noticed Cyclops levitating in
the center of the room, surrounded by the crackle of telekinetic energy as
he ripped away his Visor to reveal his red glowing eyes [Phoenix able to
hold back Cyclops' optic beam when Cyclops couldn't]!


"What the HELL's going ON, Charles...?" asked Corsair, staring up at the
glowing being ahead of them! "Is that my SON...?" he asked in disbelief,
unaware Scott possessed such power...!


"Not entirely..." reasoned Xavier, sensing Abigail's presence!


"HOW is this possible...?" asked Polaris, running towards Xavier! "Abigail
was KILLED back in New York..., HOW is she possessing Scott now...??"
[chap-42, `Dark Phoenix']!


"I...I'm not sure, Lorna..." said Xavier, looking on in disbelief
himself...! "...Abigail was Jean Grey's undeveloped TWIN sister..., her
embryo was absorbed into Jean when she was born, with Jean possessing the
minds and powers of BOTH personas! But Abigail was always the more dominate
aggressive one, so I suppressed her consciousness in Jean's subconscious
mind until the day The Hell's Fire Club released her, sending ciaos onto

"But I thought Abigail could only inhabit psychic minds like Jean, Emma
Frost, or yourself...?" question Polaris, still unsure HOW this
happened...?
	Xavier thought...


"She and Scott shared a special rapport when he and Jean were together..."
reasoned the professor, "...perhaps THAT enabled Abigail's spirit the
ability to slip into Scott's sub-consciousness without being detected?
Somehow she must have reawakened during the battle...!"


"Okay..." said Wolverine, rising up after recovering from Pulsar's
attack...! "...so is she on OUR side...her own side...or WHAT...?" he asked
cautiously, given her past!
	Xavier watched a creepy grin wash over Cyclops' face, knowing he
was eavesdropping on their conversation [telepathically]...!


"Abigail's always had her own agenda..." he reasoned, "...I don't see her
changing that now...!"


"So my people are still in danger...?" asked Lilandra, "Only this time from
a female entity from Earth instead of a galactic war...?!!"


"I will allow no harm to befall you, my Queen...!" said Gladiator,
defending The Majestrix as he soared towards Phoenix!


"No...don't...!" called Xavier [too late], as The Imperial crossed the room
with superhuman speed!
	Cyclops' eyes glowed brighter, just before a single optic beam
[mixed with a telekinetic/psy-bolt] shot forth from his eyes and hit
Gladiator with the same force it had Pulsar! Fortunately Gladiator was
practically indestructible, so the blast [a concentrated bolt of psionic
energy pierced Gladiator's skull like a knife] only stunned him as his body
exploded backwards out the palace walls and into the streets of Chandlier
outside...!
	The citizens of Chandlier ran for their lives when they saw their
Imperial Guardian hit the ground in a heap! Phoenix flew out after him,
soaring pass the X-Men as Cyclops exited the building, spreading sexual
carnage about the area as the Shi'ar people of Chandlier began stripping
their garments and engaging sexually with their closest neighbors! Queen
Lillandra [Empress to The Shi'ar Empire] ran out to the balcony of her
palace tower [along with her allies: The X-Men and The StarJammers] and

LOCKED her consciousness inside when the host died, she'll die with

"Sounds like a sound theory...IF it works...!" said Beast, recalling how
The White Queen [Emma Frost] paid the price back in NY! "But if it doesn't,
then we'd have killed someone else for nothing...!"


"So you plan on killing MY BOY...??" asked Corsair, having just found his
two sons [Alex and Scott] after believing them dead for the last 10 years!
"You're gonna kill Scott...?!"


"We have LITTLE CHOICE in the matter, Corsair..." explained Lilandra,

"Well...maybe we can DRAW Phoenix out of Cyclops like Emma Frost did with
Jean...?"  he suggested [see: The Séance], turning towards his fellow
X-Men...! "It won't be easy..." he added, sympathetically...! "...but if
anyone wants to volunteer to be The Host for Abigail..., now's the time to
say so...!"


"Volunteer...?" asked Banshee, looking at Xavier as if he were insane...!
"To be KILLED with Abigail...?! You must've lost your rocker, Charles...!"


"I know it's a lot to ask..." agreed Xavier, "...but we have little
alternative...! The Shi'ar and their planet are depending on us to finish
the job we started back in New York...! It's essentially OUR fault Phoenix
is here...! We SHOULD have made SURE her spirit was completely eradicated
before assuming NY safe!"
	Everyone looked around at each other...no one really wanting to be
in Cyclops' shoes...


"I'll do it!" volunteered Havok [Scott's younger brother]! "We're

"I can't let you do that, son..." said Corsair, pulling Alex back by the

she used the LINK to latch control! Oracle turned back towards The X-Men
and Imperial Guards and pierced their brains with a paralyzing pinch,
causing many of them to buckle to their knees in agony...! Oracle was
countered by his Imperial teammate MANTA; who hit him with a powerful beam
of pure light energy, rendering him unconscious before he could even hit
the ground...!


	To stop Gladiator, Polaris used her powers over magnesium to
control the metals within the floors, walls, and ceilings, yanking them
from their foundation to hover and swirl midair, imprisoning him behind a
swirling wall of metals! But Gladiator countered by using his heat-vision
to melt some of the piping, turning them into swirling globs of melted
metal!
	Gladiator continued turning large metals into steaming liquid metal
as he came after Polaris, heading directly for her! But Darkside
[Gladiator's royal teammate] countered by stepping in FRONT of Polaris and
using his dimensional cloak to send Gladiator into the `dark dimension'!
Gladiator [flying too fast to avoid heading straight into Darkside's black
cloak] flew straight into his teammate and disappeared, being taken right
OUT of the fight!


"How LONG will you be able to hold him...?" asked Polaris [knowing SHE
escaped Darkside's `dark dimension' with the help of Storm {last chap}]...!


"I should be able to HOLD him..." said Darkside, closing his cape in around
him...! "...so long as no one lights me up with lightning...!"


"What about Phoenix...?" asked Storm...!
	Just then, the ceiling above suddenly caved in, as Scott Summers
[The Phoenix] came descending through the rubble 2 levels up, debris
floating around his body like buoys in an ocean...!


((("You think this OVER...?"))) she asked psychically [in everybody's
mind], hovering in midair with the crackle of kinetic energy around him...!
((("It's NOT over til you're all lying stinking in your graves...!")))


"NOW X-MEN, ATTACK...!!" yelled Xavier! "We need to keep Phoenix centered
in THIS building...! There's an entire population out there that could get
caught up in the crossfire! KEEP HER BUSY!"


"You've got it, professor...!" said Banshee, doing a quick fly-by, hitting
Phoenix with a sonic scream of pure sound sure to pierce Scott's ears as
Phoenix was slammed back into a nearby wall like a runaway meteor!
	STORM countered by shooting electricity from her fingertips, her
infamous lightning bolts soaring across the room with the speed of light,
aiming to strike Phoenix head-on! However the lightning was met with a
telekinetic barrier, enabling it to reach its intended target! Phoenix
returned the sentiment back on Storm by shooting an optic-beam straight at
the African goddess!


"Ororo, watch out...!" cried her boyfriend [Bishop]...leaping through the
air just in time to tackle her from the beam's path! Storm hit the ground
hard, but Bishop was caught head-on, getting hit by the eye-beam dead
center!
	Bishop was a mutant from the future, sent back into the X-Men's
past to prevent an event that was sure to leave the world extent of mutants
AND mankind! His powers were to absorb energy, to reform and reshape it to
his own use! Bishop took Phoenix's optic-beam and channeled it, aiming it
back at her with his own eyes as he looked up at his teammate and opened
fire; hitting Scott with his own power!
	The BEAM hit Phoenix between the eyes, knowing Scott's head for a
loop! BEAST was quick to attack afterwards, leaping within arm's length
before lifting Scott overhead and body slamming him to the ground full
force before jumping out of the way before Phoenix could find time to
recover and attack!
	Landslide sent a bombardment of rocks and boulders in Phoenix's
direction, hitting her telekinetic shield with an avalanche of earth,
keeping the attack steady and quick while Manta passed through, hitting
Phoenix with a ray of pure solid light, helping to knock her off
balance...!


((("She's weakening..."))) encouraged Xavier, sending a message out
[telepathically] to everyone at once! ((("...keep up the good work, we have
her on the ropes...!")))
	Goblin [The StarJammer's resident Skrull] changed shapes, turning
himself into a hideous, vile looking creature capable of multiple death and
destruction! He jumped in Cyclops' path, wrapping tentacles about him as
sharp claws and pointed teeth closed in for the kill! Phoenix touched
Goblin's mind with but a thought, sending the alien Skrull to the floor in
a quivering heap of madness, foaming at his mouth as he was sent into
convulsions!


	Xavier used that opportunity to LEAP in front of Phoenix and hurt
him by punching him with Colossus's steel fist [which took The Phoenix by
surprise, knocking the optic-visor right off of Scott's face]! Scott looked
confused as Xavier [in Mountjoy's body] opened his mouth and HIT Scott with
one of Banshee's signature screams! "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWW...!!!"
sending Phoenix soaring backwards across the room like a comet! ((("Okay
Wolverine...you're up!"))) said Xavier [mentally], as Wolverine LEAPED out
of him to the job they started!
	Phoenix stumbled weakly as she fought off the defenses, her kinetic
shield falling as Wolverine reached in and grabbed Scott by the throat,
then slammed him back against the wall, his extended Adamantium claws
poised to kill with a [SHINK}!


"L...Logan...?" said Scott, lifting his head, his red glowing eyes turning
over brown! Wolverine hesitated, seeing Scott's real eyes for the first
time [ever], lost in their beauty as his heart softened...!


"Scott..." called Logan, grabbing onto the sides of Scott's head as he
stared [deeply] into his eyes...! "...FIGHT IT, baby...! I KNO' yur in
there somewhere! Come back to me! Follow my voice...!"


"Logan...!" said Scott [more in HIS voice than Phoenix's]...!


"YES Baby...! It's ME! I'm HERE! I'm...AARRRRRRHHHHHHHHH...!!!" screamed
Wolverine, as Scott's eyes suddenly burned bright RED and fired
unexpectedly at point blank range [searing the skin off Logan's face]!


((("STOP thinking of Cyclops as Scott Summers..."))) interjected Xavier,
mentally! ((("...so long as PHOENIX resides inside him, Scott doesn't
exist! Only Abigail! And SHE must be stopped at all costs!")))


"He's right..." said Corsair, he and his StarJammers suddenly bursting back
onto the scene [using another corridor], opening fire with his laser
cannon! "...SON or NO son..., this ENDS now!"
	The other StarJammers' opened fire as well [Keeyah, Raza, Ch'od,
and Korvus], bombing Cyclops in a hail of energy pulses, --all of which
were hitting Phoenix's telekinetic wall, as she opened the floor up
underneath her, then disappeared down the fox hole!


"Quickly, AFTER him!" yelled Corsair, as Ch'od [the 7 foot tall reptile
Sauridian Warrior] ran over and jumped through the hole, only to be
repelled by one of Cyclops' optic-beams! Ch'od shot straight up through the
ceiling, screaming like a man on fire as Raza [his cyborg teammate] pulled
a container off his utility belt, then tossed it down the hole after
Phoenix, causing a massive explosion which nearly caved in the entire
floor!
	Phoenix shot up through another hole, spraying the room with a
telekinetic wave that sent everyone on their asses! Corsair opened fire
again, this time pulling out the heavy artillery as he walked up to Phoenix
at pointblank range! His weapon never ceased firing as they stood face to
face with his eldest born son! Phoenix lifted a hand into the air, then
using her telekinesis, broke both of Corsair's legs!


"AARRHHGGG...!!!!" screamed the older man, crumbling to the floor in
absolute pain!


"DAD...!!" shouted Alex [Havok], rushing to his long lost father's aid!


"How TOUCHING...!" smirked Phoenix, hitting Havok with an
optic/telekinetic/psybolt!
	The beam of destructive energy went straight towards Alex, as he
crouched down over his father protectively! But before the blast could hit,
he was covered by Vulcan [his baby brother], who tried to absorb the
wayward energy before it could kill!


"AARRHHHHHHGG...!!" screamed the half human/Shi'ar, the psybolt playing
havoc with his brain as he tried to absorb it!
	Professor Xavier and Lilandra tried attacking Phoenix mentally,
while The X-Men and StarJammers continued to assault her physically!
Phoenix couldn't concentrate with the physical AND mental attacks happening
simultaneously, and began to lose ground!


((("Keep it UP, X-Men...)))" warned Xavier, sensing Phoenix's powers
weening...! ((("...she can't keep up with this kind of pressure
indefinitely!")))
	In all the confusion, everyone neglected keeping watch on The
Tyrant: D'Ken! The would-be Shi'ar king watched the battle ranging around
him, realizing the power that Phoenix yielded through all the ciaos she
caused, and seized the opportunity when Xavier's concentration was focused
solely on Phoenix [freeing HIM from Xavier's mental control]! While
everyone else fought to destroy Phoenix, D'Ken ran over and grabbed the
X-Man by the hair..., wrestling him to the ground!


"Enter ME...!" he ordered, knowing the POWER he could have! "Enter ME, and
together we could rule the GALAXY!"
	Scott's eyes opened wide as The Phoenix entity [Abigail] took him
up on his offer and left one host to entered another! In a flash of
brilliant light, her consciousness left Cyclops, and reawakened inside
D'Ken!
	D'Ken could FEEL the power flowing through his veins as Phoenix
gave him strength!


"YES! I can FEEL it!" he said, tossing Scott aside [like a ragdoll] as the
telekinetic energy began to crackle and flow around him! "I AM POWER!
SIGNIFICANT! I AM A GOD! YOU WILL WORSHIP ME, OR DIE WHERE YOU STAND!" he
boasted, growing stronger by the second! With a wave of his hand, a
powerful telekinetic wave shot around the room, sending everyone [X-Men,
StarJammers, AND Imperial Guard] on their ass!
	D'Ken used that telekinetic energy to swiftly lift his sister
[Lilandra] from the rubble, then STRIP her of her battle-armor until she
was completely naked, then physically floated her in front of him in
doggy-position, where he freed his 15" erection and swiftly shoved it in

11 years! I started this series in 2003, and never expected it to last this
long [2014]! I know I lost a lot of readers over the years by neglecting
the story line a number of times, but I believe those breaks helped let me
reflect on the story and choose which direction I wanted to go with the
characters! In case anyone is wondering, I DO NOT get a lot of email for
the series, so I've mostly kept writing it solely because I have always
been an X-MEN fan since 1981-82! I've really enjoyed writing this series,
and seeing how far I could stretch the characters without making them turn
against their true natures! I hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I
