John backed away from the sightless teen. "Get dressed, I'll take you
home," he said coldly.

Jace stood there, arms still outstretched. He'd never felt so vulnerable
and alone as he did right then. His usual confidence shattered, he turned
reaching out for the lockers as a guide as he fumbled his way back to his
locker. He dressed silently, feeling suddenly self-conscious about being
nude in front of the other teen. "Is he watching me?" He wondered. Jace
stilled to see if he could hear John nearby. Harsh breathing and his fears
were realized. John was watching. Jace tried to hurry, but in his haste,
knocked over his sneakers that had sat propped on the wooden benches. He
carefully knelt down and felt around desperately trying to find them. His
humiliation was complete. Tears streamed down the blind boy's eyes as his
hands swept in front of him, searching for the missing sneakers.

Soft footsteps and John was there, pulling the young man into his
arms. "It's okay. They're right here," he whispered, bringing Jace's hands
to the ground to indicate where his shoes had fallen. Jace sobbed openly,
despising how weak he felt. "I'm right here," John whispered, resting his
chin a top the teen's head.

Jace clutched one shoe by the lace with one hand, while he held on to his
friend with the other. "Let's get you up," John comforted. Wrapping his arm
around the boy's waist, he rose slowly, pulling Jace up with him.

"I'm sorry," Jace gasped between sobs, "I didn't mean to...please don't
tell the others", he begged.

John sat the younger boy down on the bench and pulled him close to his
side. "Jace," he hesitated, "I want to...I want the same thing...just not
here, not now." He let his lips brush the side of the sightless teen's
face, and then pulled him onto his lap. "Te quiero mucho."

The two sat close, Jace clutching on to the older boy, afraid to let go.
John stroked the boy's hair and whispered words of comfort to him until he
was sure Jace understood that he wasn't angry. Voices drawing closer broke
the intimate moment.

"We should get out of here," John urged. He extracted the sneaker Jace
was still holding on helped him put it on. He pulled Jace up and guided
his hand onto the crook of his arm. "Let's go."

Jace let John guide him out of the lockers. John greeted a few teens he
knew, but didn't stop long to chat. Jace was grateful that he had his
sunglasses on. He didn't want anyone to guess that he'd been crying or yet
still, what he'd been crying about. He hated the fact that John was
brushing his friends off because of him. As they reached John's car, Jace
tried to lighten the mood.

"I'll drive," he called out to his friend, motioning for the keys.

John smiled, "Maybe next time." He helped Jace into the car and quickly
jogged around to the driver's side. "You want to get something to eat?"

Jace was taken back by the request. He was pretty sure despite John's
assurances to the contrary, that the teen would want to dump him as quickly
as possible after the scene he'd caused. "I...I thought we were going
home."

"Well yes, eventually, but my folks are out for the day and I thought we
could go to my place and talk." John watched Jace from the corner of his
eye; he could see how nervous the boy who just a short while ago came on so
strongly to him was.

"I have to call my mother and let her know where I am," Jace said.

"That can be arranged Jace, even us country bumpkins have telephones," John
teased.

Jace grimaced as he recalled how obnoxious he had been when he first met
John.

"John, I'm sorry I was such a jerk when we met."

"Was?" John snorted.

"Okay, maybe still am," Jace smiled.

John was relieved to see that smile. He was afraid his earlier rejection
might have ruined any future chances with his tutor. "So, my place and
food?"

"Yes", Jace answered happily.

John sped the car up a little, anxious to spend some time alone with the
object of his dream. Twenty minutes later, Jace was seated on a sofa
talking to his mother, as he listened to the sound of John working in the
kitchen. John had promised Mrs. Newfield he'd bring her son home before
seven. Jace was half hoping he could sleep over, but neither had the nerve
to ask his mother for permission.

"Here ya go," John said with pride, setting a tray down the coffee table.

"Mmm, smells delicious. What is it?"

"My mom's fried chicken, potato salad and Iced tea. The best in the whole
county."

"I'll take your word for it," Jace laughed.

John sat beside the younger teen and placed the tray in his lap. "Do you
need help?"

"No. I've mastered feeding myself. I'm also potty trained," he smirked.

"I didn't mean it like that. Geez, why do you do that?"

Jace heard the frustration in John's voice as the sofa shifted and he heard
the teen moving away from him. "John?" He called out.

"Yeah?"

Jace was relieved to hear the voice coming from behind him. He seemed to
be pacing the floor behind the couch.

"I'm sorry John. It's just that, I grew up in New York City, I've learned
quickly to depend on myself." He heard the athlete move back to the couch
and felt it dip again as he sat. The tray was removed from his lap and
large strong hands were grasping his own.

"This is all new to me Jace. I don't know what to do. And you...you're so
defensive all the time. It's hard to get close."

Jace turned his head in the direction of his teammates voice. "Do you want
to get close?"

John clutched the boy's chin in one hand staring incredulously at him. " I
thought we'd established that back in the locker room." John reached up
and removed the teen's dark glasses and turned his head to look into his
eyes.

"I thought you were trying to calm me down to get us out of there without a
scene," Jace said sullenly.

The blonde let out a long sigh, "Jace, you have to learn to trust me. I
meant what I said back there. I want you. I...I just don't want to rush
into anything." He pulled the brown-eyed teen closer and placed a soft
kiss against his lips.

Jace brought his hands up to the angular face of his friend and traced his
fingers over the lines and curves of his eyes, nose and mouth. He let his
thumb linger over the soft lips, running them back and forth, nudging
forward to part them slightly. "You're beautiful, bésame" Jace whispered.

John leaned in and kissed his friend hungrily. He pulled him into his lap
and pressed his tongue between the blind boy's lips until they opened. He
thrust his tongue into Jace's mouth and the teen moaned as he ran his
tongue over Jace's. The kiss deepened and Jace leaned into the kiss and
became more aggressive. John felt himself harden against the buttocks
placed squarely over his groin. He devoured the sightless teen's mouth,
sucking his lips and tongue, pulling apart slightly and then diving in for
another searing kiss.

Jace began to squirm against the wrestler's erection, his own shaft getting
hard. John placed one hand on the soft hair at the nape of the younger
man's neck and pressed him further into the passionate kiss. Their tongues
danced over each other's, their breathing becoming labored as they kissed
and kissed until they had to break apart for a quick breath, only to surge
forward into another deep and passionate kiss. The older boy ran his hands
slowly down the younger's chest, running a thumb over each nipple and being
reward with Jace squirming even more against his cock. He let his hand
drift lower, between the boy's thighs, stroking his inner thigh up to his
shaft and back down again. Jace broke the kiss and began working on John's
neck. The blonde let his head fall back as his Spanish tutor sucked on the
side of his neck and worked his way along his Adam's apple. The sound of
tire wheels against the gravel driveway jolted them both out of their
passion.

"Shit," John spat out. "My parents."

Jace scrambled out of John's lap. He was so hard it hurt. John looked
down at his own cock bulging through his sweats and pulled his oversized
tee shirt down as far as he could. He placed the tray of food in Jace's
lap. "Relax and act natural," he whispered. Jace felt him move to the
other end of the couch and heard the television flick on. A few minutes
later the Lambrix's were standing before them and his would be lover was
introducing him. He could here the tension in his friend's voice as his
mother began to ask a million questions about his blindness. John even
scolded his mother. He thought it was cute how protective he was of him
already.

Mrs. Lambrix scolded John for the meager portions he'd dished out and for
not setting up lunch at the table. Mr. Lambrix fussed at her, ordering to
her to leave the boys alone. After several minutes of pots and pans
clanging and good-natured bickering, the four sat down to lunch, which
included a tossed green salad, mixed veggies and homemade apple pie for
dessert. The boys talked with John's father about the wrestling team,
while John's mother fretted about how dangerous wrestling was.

An hour later, Mr. Lambrix was in front of the television with remote
securely in hand as Mrs. Lambrix packed up a slice of pie for Jace to take
with him. She stood in the doorway as her son and his new friend exited.

"I'm sorry about that," John said slightly embarrassed.

"I think your parents are great John."

"They are, but all the questions, I know it makes you uncomfortable," he
said, helping Jace into the car.

"Don't worry about it. I'm use to it. I mean sometimes it can be a bit
much, people thinking you're totally helpless because you're blind."

"I don't think you're helpless," John said starting the car, "I think
you're hot."

Jace blushed and reached for the older teen's hand. They rode in silence,
holding hands the rest of the way.
