All Good Things
Chapter 8 -- The Vacation/Part I
As my second semester of grad school ended, it came as a relief. It had,
in my entire academic career, been the single most stressful and unsettling
time of my life. With my father's passing came the realization of my own
mortality. It was almost as if his death had been a signal to me to live
each day to the fullest. It said that I should appreciate those people and
things that were around me for their true value to and purpose in the world.
Having Tony eased the transition into the newest part of my life. He
loved and supported me through everything during that time, and it is to him
that I credit my survival, physically and emotionally. Those two months,
our relationship grew to one that I'd always dreamed of having.
As a treat to ourselves, Tony and I decided to take a trip. It would be
nice to be away from Auburn and not have to be traveling because of a family
emergency. Tony had tried to arrange permission to travel to Cuba, but was
turned down, citing that he wasn't being fully supported in Cuba, despite
the fact that I was the one who would be paying for the trip, in Canadian
funds, from the money that I'd received at my father's death. As I tried to
explain this to the lady in the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign
Assets Control, Tony wouldn't be responsible for a dime of the trip. She
still wouldn't even offer advice on how to arrange the travel to Cuba. As a
result, we were forced to choose a different location.
Because of the similarities in climate and culture, we chose Puerto
Rico. Tony could travel there without any restrictions, since Puerto Rico
is a part of the United States. And since I'm Canadian and have the visa
that I do, I didn't have to worry about travel there either. A month before
our scheduled departure, Danny mentioned that he would like to go with us.
Jane couldn't because of wedding plans and the pregnancy, plus she said that
she hadn't been feeling very well anyway, at least not well enough to
travel. Gui and Martín jumped at the idea, though. Once we knew who all
was going, we discussed what it was that we wanted to do there. None of us
wanted to be in San Juan, and so with Danny's help, we found a nice holiday
rental on the western side of the island, complete with a small, but very
private beach. The price was reasonable, and the plans were set. Three
days before the flight, Tony and I found ourselves packing feverishly for
the warm climate. There were enough swim trunks and shorts packed into the
leather suitcases that we shouldn't be worried about not having enough
clothes. We packed polos and t-shirts as well, because I'm sure that we'd
be going to bars and other places where it might not be appropriate to show
our bodies in most of their glory. The following morning, we packed
everything into the car that I'd bought for myself after Tony taught me how
to drive and headed toward Charlotte. We raced the sleek, black BMW 330ci
convertible with grey leather interior and brushed aluminum trim north
toward Tony's hometown. We were going to be staying with Gui at his
apartment, since the two of us usually stayed with Nani when we went to
Charlotte for a quick weekend visit. We'd probably be moving the party to
her house, though, once Danny arrived the next day. Those plans weren't
completely set, though.
We drove through Atlanta and other cities along the way before coming to
the Queen City, as the locals have named it. We found his apartment
quickly, which wasn't far from where Val had lived before returning to
Toronto when he husband found a job north of the border. Gui was more than
happy to see us and showed us to our room. It was already fairly late in
the day when we arrived in Charlotte so we packed into Gui's SUV and headed
to Nani's to pick up Martín and head to dinner. The three of them were all
excited, since this would be the first time in their adult lives that they'd
taken a vacation together.
Dinner was an interesting time. We ate at a nice Italian restaurant. I
enjoyed their spicy take on traditional chicken cacciatore, while Tony
feasted on a simple vegetable alfredo. Martín and Gui both enjoyed their
plates of spaghetti, with Martín adding an order of meatballs to his. We
had an espresso at the end of the meal, combined with a `healthy' serving
tiramisù for dessert. Dinner was good, but we left the restaurant
completely full, or as Gui put it, "fat and happy." Martín had to work the
next day, so we dropped him off at Nani's a bit earlier than he normally
would have stayed out. While we were there, Nani gave us all a good night
kiss on the cheek before the remaining three of us left. Once back at
Gui's, we started doing shots of tequila.
"You know. It's good to have you guys over here for a change," Gui said as
he prepared three shots.
"It is nice. We can get drunk and pass out in the floor," Tony said.
Gui gave him a look. "That only happened ONCE, and he won't let me live it
down," he said to me as he passed the first of the shots.
"What happened?"
"Before we met, Gui and Martín came to Auburn and spent the night at my
apartment. Gui drank so much tequila that he we was standing in one second,
yawned, and then fell directly to the floor."
"Thankfully you didn't have any neighbors below you to call the cops!" Gui
joked as he raised his shot glass. "Here's to family," he said as we each
took the shot of tequila. It almost burned as it went down my throat, but
it felt good, and it quickly relaxed all three of us.
"Otra chupita, por favor," Tony asked in broken Spanish.
"Huh?" Gui said. Despite being Latino, he didn't speak a word of Spanish
beyond the dirty words. It was kind of ironic that the whitest person in
the room spoke better Spanish than the two Latinos.
"How about another," he said as he pushed his glass over to Gui.
"Alright," he said after he slightly shrugged his shoulders. He fixed
another round for each of us and called for one of us to make a toast.
"Here's the scantily clad hotties and sand," I said as we raised our
glasses.
"Thank God you didn't say men!" Gui joked, making Tony laugh hysterically.
The second shot went down more smoothly than the first, and the relaxing
effects seemed to be taking a better hold over both my body and mind. Two
turned to three though, which turned to four.
"Damn," Gui started after I started giggling uncontrollably from the
liquor. "What's got your giggle box turned over?"
"I don't know, eh!" I proclaimed, letting my `canuckness' flow freely under
the influence of the José Cuervo.
"See. Your boyfriend gets giggly, and I get horny as hell. Damn this is
why I need a girlfriend." He and Tony both got a good laugh out of the
comment.
Before too long, we were ready for bed. Tony and I slept in Gui's room,
which had a bigger bed, while he slept in the guest room, which only had a
twin. He made us promise that we wouldn't have `butt love' on his sheets,
but I don't think after the seventh shot of tequila that I was in any state
to `function.' Tony and I slept quickly and didn't know the world was still
spinning until the light of day forced me to realize my hangover was in fact
the indicator that what had happened the night before wasn't just a bad
dream that I never wanted to relive again. At 8:00, Danny called to say
that he was leaving shortly from Toronto and that he would arrive around
11:00. I took three Aleve and showered as best I could under the intense
pressure of the noise of the shower against my poor ear drums. Tony and Gui
were still asleep when I got out, but I didn't want to wake either of them.
By 10, though, I had to. I didn't know Charlotte well enough yet to get
around without some help. Tony woke up without the slight sign of a
hangover (which pissed me off to no end), and dressed quickly to go with me.
We drove the BMW around the city until finally we came to the airport. I
guess we arrived just as the flight did, because my brother was the first
person off the plane. He smiled as he saw us and came quickly over to hug
us.
"How was the flight bro?" I asked as we pulled away from one another.
"Sólo voy a decir eso. Me alegre que esté aquí. El vuelo fue horrible,
pero por la mayor parte porque de unos hijos incontrolables." He stopped
and smiled, "Por lo menos estoy aquí ahora, y estoy bien listo para nuestras
vacaciones." (I'm only going to say this. I am happy to be here. The
flight was horrible, but for the most part because of some uncontrollable
kids. At least I'm here now, and I am more than ready for our vacation.)
"Que bueno, hermanito," I said, smiling at my brother as we went to collect
his bags.
"How are you, Tony?" Danny asked, turning to my boyfriend.
"I'm good, Danny," Tony said, grabbing Danny's suitcase from the turning
belt at the baggage claim.
We chatted the whole way back to Gui's apartment. Danny even managed to
get a girl's phone number while stopped at a red light, using his arms to
first get her attention and his smile to get her number. As the light
changed, he promised that he would call her as soon as we got back from the
trip. As he recounted this story to Gui and later Martín, they
congratulated him on being able to get the hot girls, no matter where on the
globe he was.
By the evening, Nani was ready to fix dinner for her five boys, as she
referred to us collectively. She asked me to help her in the kitchen while
Tony helped Martín get packed and while Gui and Danny played a video game in
the living room. Like boys, they found themselves competing for who was the
best. Despite their age differences, they thought a lot a like. They had
similar tastes in clothes, games, cars, and girls. They had similar
dispositions. It was almost like they were the same person, with the
exception that Gui had only recently become comfortable with being around
gay people and Danny had been at that point for some time. Within an hour,
dinner was ready. The six of us sat down and enjoyed a quiet meal of
Southern treats that Nani had learned to make years before to please the
palates of her own children, who had managed to quickly assimilate to the
culture of the Southern US.
We ate dinner quickly. As I looked around the table to find that all the
other five people enjoying not only the food, but the company. I was so
happy that my brother and Tony's brothers got along. It seemed almost as if
the two of them considered Danny to be their own brother, and vice versa.
Tony felt the same way, though. I could tell from the look in his beautiful
blue eyes. It was good to see how well they got along. Our two families
were seeming to seamlessly merge into one another, much to the compliment of
our relationship itself. Gui and Danny agreed on so much, but had very
spirited debates on such issues as which sport was better: football or
hockey. Nani watched their banter as the discussion took place at her
dinner table. They would make fun of each other's sport of choice. They
would mock the players and the fans behind them, but in the end they agreed
that as long as you had a passion for it, that's really all that mattered.
By the end of the meal, the five of us refused to let Nani do any more. We
each cleared the table of the dishes. Danny washed them; Gui rinsed them
off; Martín was in charge of drying them. Tony and I made coffee for
everyone. Nani had shown me in the past how to make a Cuban-style coffee,
and was quite impressed when Tony and I got it right. She settled down for
bed shortly thereafter, leaving the five of us to our own devices. Our
brothers continued an Xbox game that Gui and Danny had started earlier,
while Tony and I went out to the back patio. It was a beautiful evening,
and our plans were going more smoothly than either of us had imagined. As
we sat in the warm night air, Tony reached from his wrought iron chair over
to mine and silently took my hand. He squeezed it lovingly, but said
nothing. Instead he chose to look at me, with his head leaned against the
back of the chair in which he was sitting. The noise of the boys in the
living room finally faded as the only thing on either of our minds was each
other. We stayed that way for a while, a length of time that I don't know.
The doorbell rang. Tony and I looked at each other surprised. We looked
into the living room to find that our brothers were also looking puzzled. I
looked at my cell phone, which told me that it was a bit after 10. Martín
got up and went to the front door of the house as Nani, dressed in a white
robe with her black and gray hair looking like she'd just gotten up, walked
into the living room.
"Oh shit," Tony said as he looked in the living room.
"What?" I asked, looking at him as he looked concerned.
"My dad."
I turned to look into the room quickly. Martín and Gui were obviously on
the defensive, but trying to be polite. They introduced him to Danny, who
graciously shook his hand and smiled, just as we'd been taught to do around
people we'd just met and around whom we were supposed to be polite. Nani
and he exchanged a few words with the three of our brothers present in the
room. We watched closely, especially Tony. He was ready to pounce on the
man who'd been evil to him since his coming out. He obviously asked where
at least Tony was, as Gui and Danny both pointed toward the patio door.
"Great," Tony said, very skeptical of his father's intentions.
"Maybe it's OK," I said, optimistically, all the while keeping my guard up.
"Puedo venir?" (Can I come out?)
"Sí, papá," Tony answered.
"Tu abuela me dijo que ha estado estudiando español. Me alegre de oír," he
said politely. There was something in his voice that I couldn't quite put
my finger on, but it was obvious that he was there for something in
particular. It was almost that tone of voice when your friends or a loved
one will come up to you and is about to apologize for something that both of
you knew was wrong, but, on the other hand, I didn't believe that was his
primary motive for coming over that evening. (Your grandmother told me that
you have been studying Spanish.)
"Sí. Jake está enseñando más que pudiera aprender en una clase jodida," he
joked, making his father chuckle a little bit. He pointed to a third of the
four chairs surrounding the heave wrought iron table covered with a glass
top. Tony motioned for him to take a seat, which he did, almost graciously.
Was he, in fact, here to gravel? (Yeah. Jake is teaching me more than I
could have learned in a fucking class.)
"Bueno. Supongo que éste hombre es Jake."
"Sí. Soy yo," I answered, extending my arm to shake his hand, and not
expecting the response that I got. He extended his hand to mine and shook,
strongly. The man even smiled at me, something that I thought I would never
see or experience in the duration of our relationship.
"Mucho gusto," he said, sincerely. I looked into his eyes and I could tell
that he was exactly like Tony. His eyes were richly, deeply blue. They
were two small oceans that, like waves, lapped against the shore, which
represented his mind. They were clear, and held no pretention. (Nice to
meet you.)
"Igualmente, señor Cisneros." (Likewise.)
I smiled back at him and looked over at Tony. He knew his father's
emotional state rested in his eyes, and could see that this was the man that
had raised him to be the best person that he could be. The transaction, the
exchanging of introductions, was a surprise to Tony, but one that he enjoyed
immensely. "Antonio. Quisiera hablar contigo por un momentito, si está
bien contigo," his father said. (I would like to talk to you for a moment,
if that's OK with you.)
"Sí papá. Está bien conmigo."
"Do I need to go inside?" I asked in English.
"No," Mr. Cisneros answered immediately before Tony could answer the same
way. "This involves you too, Jake. So if you don't mind?" he said,
motioning me to retake the seat that I'd vacated in expectance of their
request for me to go inside and join the others, who were sitting in the
living room, anxiously awaiting something to happen.
"Alright," I said as I sat down and reached under the table for Tony's
hand. It was there, waiting for me to take it. Since it was a glass table,
there was no way that we could have hid the display of our affection from
Mr. Cisneros.
"Tony. When you came out to me..." he started before stopping to carefully
choose his words, "When you came out to the family, I was devastated. I was
hurt. I was confused." He held his head down, as if trying to muster the
words to apologize to Tony, but not able to come up with the words that
perfectly expressed what he was trying to say. "Your mother and I have been
seeing a therapist. Once a week we go together and then each of us has a
separate appointment every week. It's helping us to cope with the fact that
our house, which was once filled with the love and laughter and bickering of
three boys is now almost silent."
"Uh huh..." Tony said, waiting for his father to say more.
"And frankly, it's driving your mother and me mad. Last week, on your
brother's birthday, we sat in the living room and ate TV dinners and watched
a video of his third birthday party. It was filled with happy memories for
both of us, but they were memories that we knew we'd never have again,
because of the way that we'd acted. We lost our family in December, and I
would understand why if we never have that again."
In a move that was purely Danny, he slipped onto the patio with three cups
of coffee, made in a regular style and placed in simple, white, heavy
beakers. "I thought you guys might like something to drink," he said as he
placed the three glasses on the table, along with creamer and sugar, two
things that Nani drank in her coffee in the mornings.
"Thank you, Dann-o," I said, looking at my brother. When he knew that Mr.
Cisneros couldn't see me, he gave me a look, as if to ask if everything were
OK, and I blinked once, to confirm that everything was progressing well. It
was a code that we'd used almost our entire lives to ask something that
couldn't be asked. He gave a happy look and walked back inside, pulling the
three others there into the kitchen, away from our view for a few minutes.
"Your brother is a very nice man," Mr. Cisneros said.
"We like having him around, I suppose," I said, beaming with pride for my
little brother and the finally honed busy-body techniques he'd picked up
from our mother.
"What I was saying though is that I would understand if our house remains
silent," he started again, more emotionally than the first time. "But we
don't want that to happen." We looked away, trying to regain his composure,
but doing a very poor job of things. "We know that the five of you are
going on a trip tomorrow, but when you get back, we would like to invite the
two of you into our home for a couple of days, so that we can get to know
Jake and that you can see, Tony, that we are trying our best to change our
way of thinking about the whole situation."
"Jake?" Tony asked, looking at me. I could see that he was hoping for an
affirmative answer, but wouldn't have been surprised if I'd respectfully and
politely declined.
"That sounds good to me," I answered Tony. "I'd like to meet Mrs.
Cisneros. I hear that she is a wonderful cook," I said to Mr. Cisneros. He
seemed to beam with pride, just as I do when someone who meets him tells me
what a kind a wonderful man he seems to be.
"She is amazing in the kitchen," Mr. Cisneros said, having lost the
insecurity of the moment before. He smiled at me, as if I'd said just the
right thing to fall into at least his good graces.
"Yeah. Mom makes the best empanadas," Tony said, smiling at me.
"Maybe she can teach me how to make them," I said to Tony, but in a way
that Mr. Cisneros would pick up that I genuinely wanted to make the
experience a good one, for no one's sake but Tony's.
"I'm sure that could be arranged," Mr. Cisneros said as he took a sip of
coffee.
"Did Mom know you were coming over here?" Tony asked.
"With your mother, it is sometimes easier to get forgiveness than
permission, but she will be happy," he said, smiling at Tony. Tony knew
exactly what he meant by the phrase, chuckling a little.
"Dad. I love you. I never stopped loving you."
"I know. And we never stopped loving you, Toñito." His dad reached over
the table and scruffed his hair.
"Dad..." Tony protested fakely. From the look in his eyes and the smile on
his face, this was a moment that he'd looked forward to having for a very
long time.
"Now I have to go. Your mother thinks I've gone out for ice cream," Mr.
Cisneros said, smiling at his son.
"How did you know we'd be here?"
"I talked to your grandmother the day before yesterday."
"Ahh..." Tony said, walking around the table to his father. He grabbed him
and pulled him into a big hug. Mr. Cisneros wrapped his arms around his son
and squeezed for dear life. Tony was facing me, and I couldn't help but
notice the smile on his face.
"OK. It is time to go," he said, reluctantly breaking the hug.
"Jake," he said as I stood. "It is very nice to meet you face to face.
Thank you for loving my son."
"It's not that hard. He's a loveable person," I answered. I extended my
hand to shake his again, but he pulled me into a hug that seemed almost as
tight, but not as long as the one he'd given his son. He was hard and
rough. He was muscular, but from a life of work rather than a life of
working hard in a gym. We all said a final good-bye as he walked back
through the house. Gui and Martín were standing in the entryway to the
kitchen, prepared for something bad, but found it a relief when Mr. Cisneros
reached up and hugged each of his sons as tightly as he'd hugged Tony.
"That was unexpected," Tony said as we watched what was going on from the
patio.
"Yeah," I said. "He seems like a nice man, though."
"He can be," Tony said. He smiled as he put his arm around my shoulder.
As he left, the four of them came to the porch, including Nani, who stood in
the doorway. It was a time for the brothers to come back together with
their family. Nani was pleased. It was obvious. We retired happily a bit
later, trying to sleep enough before our early flight in the morning. Tony
and I went into the guest room at their house and climbed into bed.
"Having a good night?" I asked as we turned down the white comforter that
topped the old bed.
"Yep. I am," he said, looking at me as he fluffed one of the pillows on
his side of the bed. "You know. If we weren't in my grandmother's house, I
would make mad love to you right now."
"Really?"
"Yeah. It would be so good, too."
"Uh huh," I said as we climbed into the bed and snuggled into each other
beneath the soft, white sheets.
"Yeah. I would kiss you on the cheek, to start, of course."
"Of course," I said, smiling as I looked at my boyfriend.
"Then I would rub my hands all over your body."
"Sounds good so far."
"Then we'd kiss some...for a long time, because you have such luscious
lips."
"Yummy...sounds fun."
"Oh yeah. Then I'd give you head so good that you'd cuss, which my
grandmother wouldn't appreciate too much."
I giggled a little bit. "Uh huh..."
"And then you'd lay me on my back and shove your...HOT...ass on my
throbbing penis and you'd move up and down on it until I couldn't take it
anymore and shot my entire...hot...strong....creamy load up your ass."
"Yeah."
"And then you would lay on top of me, leaning down to kiss me on the lips."
"Like this?" I asked, leaning in and giving him a quick peck on the lips.
"Exactly like that," he said, lifting himself up and resting his head on
his hand, shaking the finger on his other hand at me. "And then we would
fall asleep in each others arms and dream sweetly through the night. He
raised his hand as if to show the two of us flying off into the distance.
"How would that sound?"
"I think you made me cum a little bit in my underwear," I said as he
reached down and felt the front of my boxers. There was a little precum
spot in the front of my drawers from the hard on I'd earned as he recounted
the story of what he would have done, had we not been in his grandmother's
house.
As I fell asleep that night, I couldn't help but remember the looks that
Tony had given that evening. It went from happiness to fright upon seeing
his father. From there, it went to pure elation upon finding out why his
father had come that evening. Then there was love for his parents again.
That look had never left him; he'd always loved them, but thought they were
acting rudely and callously toward him. Then there was love for me, which
was completely different. It was more of a sparkle. Then there was the
horny look. It was the sparkle, backed by pure, raw energy and almost a
hunger for the carnality of the physical aspects of our relationship.
I dreamt very vividly that night. It was almost as if the situation
were real and that I was taking part in the original action. Though I can't
recount that dream now, I can tell you that it was hot. I woke up breathing
heavily, but in a happy way, if you know what I mean. The sun was barely
up, but was shining through the room just enough to let me look into Tony's
radiant face. For the trip, he'd straightened his hair, and it didn't look
bad on him. It was cut in a very frat-tastic, gay frat-tastic that is. It
hung very well on his head and almost never seemed out of shape. All his
grandmother could say though was, "eh...it's different."
When I finally summoned enough energy to look on the clock that was placed
on the table opposite Tony's side of the bed, I realized that I must still
be on school time, since it was almost six in the morning. I lay my head
back onto the soft, white pillow and looked at Tony for a bit more. I'm not
weird or psycho or anything, but there seemed to be something so sweet, so
attractive about the way that he slept. I never got tired of seeing his
face in that state. I always seemed to notice something new about him. For
example, this particular instance, I noticed a small scar just below his
hairline. `I must ask him about that later,' I thought to myself as he
smiled. That must have been some dream, because I certainly did feel his
hard boner poking into my leg. I wanted to wake him up with a morning blow
job, but I knew that I shouldn't, partly because we were still his
grandmother's house. We wouldn't be later that night, I thought to myself
as I, for a moment, had a vision of the love that we could make on the beach
in Puerto Rico.
Shortly after that, though, Tony began to stir. He pulled his dick away
from my leg (which really disappointed me, since he couldn't stick it in
other places). He began to smile more deeply.
"You know," he started groggily, "one day, I'm going to wake up before you
and just lie there and watch you sleep."
"Maybe one day," I joked, happy in the knowledge that he loved me for me.
"I think it's cute, though," he added as he opened his eyes, "it's
adorable."
"So what's with the scar on your forehead?" I asked, giggling as I thought
about the place I'd noticed earlier.
"Where?"
"Here," I answered, gently placing my finger over the spot.
"OH! That is a chicken pox scar from when I was little."
"Oh. OK."
"I was just making sure you were OK."
"Thank you, babe," he said, puckering his lips as if he wanted a kiss.
`I could tease him,' I thought, `or I could kiss him like I mean it. Which
do I do?' Of course I chose to kiss him; it was truly the only thing that I
could have done. Teasing him only makes ME want it more and more. He knows
I'll give it up eventually. I did take the opportunity to pull him closer
to me, wrapping my free arm around his waist and practically shoving him
into me.
"I think someone's happy to see me this morning."
"I could say the same thing."
"You so sweet," he winked at me.
"You ready for the big trip?"
"I certainly am. I was wondering something though."
"What is that?"
"If it's kind of a secluded beach, let's take a sheet out to the sand and
make mad passionate sex."
"Oh Tony. That's a great idea. I'm glad you came up with it. Beach sex
can be fun."
"Have you done it before?"
"Once or twice."
"Oh..." he almost looked dejected by my statement.
"But..."
"Yes?"
"I've never done it with someone that I was truly, madly, deeply, totally,
and undeniably in love with."
"Very good save," he said, laughing.
"You two queers woke me up," Danny said as he groggily walked into the
bedroom. Like a good straight boy, he scratched his head and his but
simultaneously.
"I'm sorry Danny," Tony said. "We didn't mean to."
"Just don't let it happen on the trip," he warned. "I might have a girl
over that likes to sleep late or something."
"Or three, or four..." I joked.
Danny smiled as if he were thinking about something. "Three girls at once.
What an amazing time that would be."
"If you have three girls over, Danny," Gui said as he invaded our private
moment, "you better fucking share."
"Gui," Danny said matter-of-factly, "if I can get three girls. I know that
you can. You're probably like the babe magnet around Charlotte. I bet
every girl knows your name."
"Yeah. And I'm in their cell phones as `DO NOT ANSWER' or `PSYCHO'!" Gui
joked.
"Probably so...but at least they all know who you are," Danny joked, not
intending to make a funny out of Gui's plight. Gui laughed it off, though,
and wrapped his arm around Danny's shoulder.
"For real, though. If you don't share, I'm gonna kick your ass," he joked
back.
"Like I'm scare of YOUR punk ass," Danny said with a smile wiped across his
face.
"I've been having a good time with the ladies since before you were born."
"Ten years old, eh. That is impressive."
Gui made like he was popping the collar of his shirt, and grinned, like a
straight guy would. "I had that effect on the ladies when I was that
young."
"Gui. Mom and Nani don't count!" Tony jabbed, getting an evil look from
Gui and a half giggle from Danny.
"You evil bitch."
"He's not evil!" Danny and I said at the same time. The four of us
laughed, which managed to wake Martín.
He stuck his tongue out at all of us and walked right back out of the room,
getting another chuckle. Before long, we were all awake, including Nani,
eating breakfast. It was just a short time from then that we'd be leaving
for the airport to go to Puerto Rico. By noon, we were at the airport.
Danny and I presented our passports to the security personnel before meeting
Tony, Martín, and Gui just outside the gate. We loaded the plane. Because
of the way the tickets were purchased, Tony and I were the only two seated
next to each other. The other three of them were scattered around the
plane. Gui was flanked by two very attractive women. He seemed to be in
heaven as they joked and flirted with them. Danny quietly sat next to an
older man who was reading a news paper. Danny turned on his iPod as the
plane took off and slowly lost himself in a world surrounded by his favorite
bands and music. Martín looked distracted as he sat next to the window,
looking out onto the world beyond. Tony was of course smiling, as he took
my hand and held on to it gently. The flight wasn't very long though, and
Tony and I, as well as the other three of them, found ourselves excited to
be on this beautiful island paradise. When the plane came to a stop,
everyone but the five of us and Gui's two adorable ladies rushed from the
plane. Tony didn't seem to mind that we were waiting for a second, to avoid
the rush that would be happening outside the gate. When we did finally get
off the silver capsule that had flown us over the ocean to our vacation, the
steward wished us a happy trip and directed us to the baggage claim, which
was in a different place in Luís Marín Muñoz International Airport in San
Juan. We picked up the car and were off to our paradise on the western side
of the island. We were all very nervous when we finally got onto the road.
It seemed as though Puerto Rican drivers were far worse than Toronto
drivers, but once we were out of the city, things seemed to settle down,
either that or we were becoming accustomed to the mode of driving on this
former Spanish colony. We drove along the northern coast to reach our
destination, passing through cities like Arecibo and Aguadilla. Then we
turned onto the `Número Dos' as the locals called it, into the city of
Mayagüez. We finally found the house in a neighborhood called `Miramar,'
situated on a street with beautiful houses, influenced by the American style
of comfort and luxury. When we came to the house we were looking for, our
jaws dropped.
"Jake, estás seguro que ésta sea la casa?" Danny asked, slipping
momentarily into Spanish. (Are you sure that this is the house.)
"Sí, es la dirrección que la mujer me mandó por email." (This is the
address that she emailed me.)
The house was amazing. It had three visible floors, each had a balcony
attached to it. It was a solid white house, with a grassy, perfectly
landscaped front yard. As we piled out of the car, we looked amazingly at
the house. She had left very detailed instructions about where to find the
key, and as soon as we did went inside the amazing house. The living room
was huge, with two sofas surrounding a large coffee table and an
entertainment system that made the straight men drool. I was more concerned
with the kitchen, which was very finely detailed. All of the appliances
were silver, with a huge refrigerator already stocked with several different
kinds of beer. The table was large enough to seat eight people comfortably
and sat in front of a panoramic window with an amazing view of the beach.
There was a note on the table, addressed to me.
"Mr. Henry," the note started, "Bienvenido a Puerto Rico. I wanted to
thank you for choosing our house to stay in. You are welcome to use any of
the four bedrooms on the ground or second floor, but we ask that the top
floor not be disturbed. Our personal belongings have been placed there, and
to protect you and your guests, we've locked those doors using a separate
key. Other than that, please enjoy the house and the beer that we've placed
there for you guys. One last thing...if you take a sheet to the beach,
please use the blue ones. Thanks again, and have fun! –Gilda"
We found ourselves divvying the rooms as the next step. Three of the
bedrooms had double beds, and one had a queen size bed. Tony and I
requested, since we were sharing a room, that we have the queen size, a
request that the other three agreed to. Within just a bit, we had decided
which room was whose and set out to explore the house and the beach. We
were all truly amazed by the clear waters of the Caribbean as they lapped
against the shore of white sand. Gui, Martín, and Danny ran directly to the
water, shedding themselves of their t-shirts before beginning to splash each
other. Tony and I spread a sheet that we'd grabbed on the beach and sat
there as the gentle breeze blew our hair in random directions.
Tony looked out, over the sea. "Whatcha thinkin?" I asked as I looked at
him.
"I was just thinking about how nice this place is. I've been to Florida a
million times, but this is so different," he said as he pulled his legs up
to his chest.
"It is. It reminds me of Cuba, at least the Southern coast."
"I wish we could have gone there, but I understand."
"I don't. The US had relations with the Soviet Union, and has relations
with China and even Vietnam, but not Cuba," I added, thinking like a
Canadian about how ignorant an embargo of Cuba actually was. It didn't hurt
any country but the US by depriving two generations of the cultural richness
of what was, at one point, the most important of all the Caribbean islands.
"Good point, babe," he responded. "You know what makes this the best trip
ever?"
"What?"
He removed one arm from around his legs and wrapped it around my shoulder,
pulling him close into me. "Having you and our brothers here."
"It is nice."
"I want to make love to you out here so bad right now."
"I understand, Toño."
The brothers continued to play in the water, splashing and laughing at one
another. At one point, Martín and Danny ganged up on Gui, dunking him in
the clear waters. They got along really well, which was an amazing sight to
behold, really. The sound of laughing in the distance. The pitch and
sound, of course, caught the straight boys as the three girls walked closer
to us. Two blonds and one brunette, each dressed in bikinis with a sheer
shawl wrapped around their waists.
"Whoa," Martín audibly whispered as the girls moved closer.
"Damn right, little brother," Gui said as the three of them stood in the
water to check out the views coming toward them.
Danny seemed awestruck by their beauty. As the girls walked passed Tony
and me, the brunette turned and looked at the three boys in the water. "My
name's Gui," the older Cisneros boy called out at the girl.
"María," she responded.
"You're beautiful."
She smiled as she knew that she'd latched her hooks into the older Cisneros
boy. They continued to walk down the beach. "She should be my wife," Gui
said as he came out of the water and walked over toward us. He kept his
eyes on the beauty's backside as she seemed to wiggle it for his benefit.
"She's cute, bro," Tony said.
"Cute doesn't begin to describe it," Gui said, finally turning to us. He
grabbed a towel and sat on the sheet next to us, wiping his head. "Damn."
he said, catching a view of her in the slight distance. "Maybe they'll walk
back this way in just a minute."
The other boys climbed out of the water in a second, in just enough time to
catch the girls walking back. "Hey María," Gui said.
"Hey Gui. Have fun in the water?" she asked as they stopped for a second.
"Yeah. Being around the water is always fun." Gui was trying to act suave
and manly, but a definite lack of confidence was shining through.
"Yes," she said agreeing with him. The two blonds looked at her and
smiled. There was an odd connection between the two of them. "Hey, this is
my sister Carla," pointing to the blond on her right. "And this is Talia,"
she said pointing to the girl on her left. Each of them raised their hands
and waved at the group.
"This is my little brother Martín and our friend Danny," he said, pointing
the young ones as they stood above us. "And this is my brother Tony and his
boyfriend Jake, Danny's brother."
"It's nice to meet you all," María said, smiling.
"Likewise," I said looking up at her.
"So where are you from?" María asked. Gui stood up and wiped the sand off
of him.
"We're from North Carolina," Gui answered, smiling at María.
"And we're from Canada," Danny said, raising his muscular arms above his
head with a certain pride that was purely Canuck.
"La tierra de hockey y mounties," Talia stated as she put her eyes on my
brother.
"Claro, mami."
"Hablas español?"
"Sí. Nací en Cuba," Danny said.
"Qué bueno! Eres latino?"
"No. Ellos son, pero yo no. Mi padre fue diplomático."
"Ahh...OK. Explica el accento," Talia said, winking at Danny.
"So. Would you guys like to come up for a beer or something?" Gui offered.
"Not right now. We have to get back to where we're staying, but if the
invitation is still open for later..." María said, looking at Tony's brother
and smiling.
"Yeah. It's open," Gui smiled.
"You guys are staying here?" Carla asked, looking up at the house.
"Yeah," Martín answered, not letting the opportunity slip to talk to the
hot chick that hadn't seemed to latch onto anyone yet.
"Cool..." she answered.
"Alright," Talia said. "We've got to get going, but it was nice to meet
all of you. We'll see you guys later this evening." The boys and girls
waved one last time at each other before they headed back down the beach.
The boys' eyes seemed fixed on the view. Tony and I looked at each other
and began to quietly giggle at our brothers.
"What's so funny?" Gui said as he looked at us.
"You finally picked up a chick without my help!" Tony answered. He stood
up quickly and began running the opposite direction as fast as he could.
Gui followed, swearing to catch him and kick his butt. It was so funny to
see them in that state, laughing and carrying on.
Before long, we headed back up to the house. The brothers showered quickly
and we headed to the store to get some things to grill for that evening's
meal. Steaks, vegetables, anything that could be cooked on the grill was
purchased and brought back to the house. The girls joined us a bit later,
bubbly and sweet as they had been at the beach earlier in the day. The
evening went swimmingly. The brothers chatted up the girls as Tony and I
worked on getting some food ready. All in all, it was a wonderful evening.
About 11, the girls asked Gui, Martín, and Danny to walk them home. An hour
and a half later, they returned.
"What took y'all so long?"
"We were just having a good time," Gui answered, with a mischievous grin on
his face.
"Uh huh. That's all it was. Carla is such a nice girl," Danny said.
"And Talia is smart and funny," Martín answered.
Could it be that all three of them were smitten for a girl on the first day
of our trip? Martín and Danny headed up to bed a bit later, but it seemed
as though Gui had something on his mind. He sat quietly on the couch
opposite where Tony and I had sat to cuddle and watch something on TV.
"Do you guys believe in love at first sight?" he asked after a moment of
silence.
"Yep," I answered without thinking. Tony nodded his head at his brother.
"I don't know that it's love, but she is so sweet and so smart. She's
working on a degree in Chemistry, of all things."
"Uh huh..." Tony answered.
"And guess where she's in school at..."
"Where?"
"Chapel Hill."
"Really???" Tony asked, very surprised.
"Yeah. Her family is from here, but she goes to Chapel Hill. How ironic
is that?"
"That's an interesting thing, Gui," I said.
"Yeah. Very interesting." Gui told us more about this girl for some time.
At 2, Tony woke me up and told me to get in the bed that he would be up
there in a bit. As I climbed the stairs, I listened to Gui continue to tell
stories about this girl, a girl that he'd met less than 12 hours before. I
feel asleep quickly. The pillow was soft, as were the sheets. The open
window let a cool breeze and the quiet sounds of the ocean escape into the
room. I don't know what time it was when Tony finally came into the room,
but he wasn't in a mood to sleep.
He sat on the bed beside me and leaned down to kiss me on the forehead.
"Babe. I have a blue sheet. Want to go out to the beach?"
I smiled but didn't opened my eyes. "What were you thinking of, Mr.
Cisneros."
"I was thinking we could go out to the beach, since there's nobody else out
there."
"Just to watch the night sky?"
"We could do that if you wanted to, but I was thinking of something else."
"Uh huh?" I said, finally opening my eyes
"What I was thinking of also involves this," he said, holding up a bottle
of lube.
"Dirty boy!" I joked as I sat up. He kissed me on the lips. "Damn.
You're horny, aren't you?"
"Yeah....just a little bit." He slipped his hand under the covers and felt
the hard-on that had been growing in my boxers. He slipped his hand through
the opening and stroked my hard dick a couple of times. "What you say?"
"Let's go," I said, throwing the covers back as Tony took his hand out of
my boxers. We slipped downstairs, leaving a light on in the kitchen as we
walked down to the beach. Tony laid out the sheet as I stood there and
watched, yawning. When it was perfect, he walked over to me and pulled me
closely into him. He kissed me deeply.
He pulled me over to the sheet and set me down gently. As I lay down onto
my back to watch the night stars, he lay down beside me. "You are so
beautiful."
"I'm not beautiful, Tony."
"Yes you are. You're sweet, smart, funny, romantic, a good cook, and have
a nice dick."
"OK. I'll give you that last part." I quickly looked over to see him
smiling before returning my gaze the black sky, speckled by the clear,
crisp, stars in the far distance. I pulled my arms behind my head, letting
the wind run through my underarm hair. He leaned down and kissed the
backside of my arm. He ran his tongue through my the sparse hair. It
tickled. He moved his tongue around and kissed my pecs. He continued to
kiss, around to my nipples. He kissed a bit, flicked it with his tongue,
before sucking gently. "God that feels good."
"Does it?"
"Yeah."
"Tell me."
"It sends a sensation...all over...my body," I said as he continued.
"Good." He moved his hand to my abs and explored. Gently, he made
circles, using the tips of his fingers. "I want to make love with you," he
said, as the waves washed against the shore.
He stood up for a second and pulled his khaki shorts and underwear and let
them hit the ground. He'd come out without a t-shirt on, and so before me
he stood, completely naked.
Lying back down, "May I?"
"You may, gorgeous." He kissed my lips gently as he reached over and
grabbed the lube from the edge of the sheet.
"Take your shorts off, babe."
I lifted my legs and hips and removed my boxers, using my feet to kick them
off of my body. My erect penis twitched in the wind. He opened the bottle
of lube and squeezed a little bit on his hand. He wiped it all over my
penis, stroking the shaft a few times to lube it up good. "So we're not
going to do the foreplay thing?"
"I'm so horny Jake, I just want to get straight to it, if that's OK."
"Whatever you want babe."
He squeezed the bottle of lube once more and reached around to wipe some on
his asshole. "Aiight," he said before getting onto his knees. He put one
leg over my hips and sat down onto the head of my penis. He reached back
and adjusted my penis so that it would go directly into his ass. We were
both very quiet, not wanting to wake anyone that might be in one of the
neighboring houses. "This feels good, babe."
"Yeah...it does babe."
He began to move up and down on the shaft of my penis. Slowly, gently,
rhythmically he brought me closer and closer to climax. He leaned on top of
me and kissed my lips. He continued to rock his hips on my dick as our lips
locked together. I pulled them apart for a second. "I'm gonna cum, babe."
"That's fine..." he said, returning to my lips. I was forced to break as I
felt myself unable to hold back unleashing a flood of my sperm went into his
anal cavity. I moaned and groaned as I went up in the orgasm and then came
back down. As I came down I felt something warm on my chest. "There is a
first time for everything, babe."
"What happened?"
"Right as you started to cum, I did too. You were hitting my prostate just
right."
"Wow."
"That's what I thought," he said as he began to smile.
I felt myself going soft still inside him. I slipped out in a moment, with
him still leaned over kissing me as our bodies moved his cum between our
chests. We got up and washed off in the cool waters of the Caribbean. When
we got back to the towel, we quickly pulled our clothes on, the sun was
beginning to rear its head over the eastern horizon. We walked back up to
the house, hand in hand with the lube in my free hand and the sheet in his.
We climbed each of the stairs to the back porch. Before long, we were in
the bedroom, fast asleep.
