Subject: Educating Alex Apology

Dear Reader,

Many of you have emailed me recently to ask what (if any) progress has been
made on Educating Alex.  To some of you I have replied saying that I am
working on Chapter 12.  But you will have noticed by now that chapters are
not coming anything like as swiftly as they used to.  In fact, there was a
lapse of almost two years at one point.  I suppose in a way it is a real
tribute to the story (for which I am immensely grateful) that you are all
still following it after this time.

I thought such loyalty deserved an explanation.  I recently moved to a new
city and a new job and have found myself extremely busy and with nothing
like the free time I used to have.  Sadly, this has meant that progress on
Alex and all the other half finished stories has had to halt.  But I did
just want to let everyone know that I have not abandoned the work, Chapter
12 of Alex is halfway completed.  So, thank you for your patience, and
please bear with me.

In the interim I'm sure you'll find many other things to read, but in case
you have not already heard of them I am putting a list of my other stories
at the foot of this message.  In addition to the three complete ones there
are also fragments which you can find through my link on the Prolific
Authors page.
