FiRE iSLAND BiKiNiS 04
WriTten by T. Chase McPhee

^o^

"Who's ready for the sand and surf?"

Jake immediately asks, "What happened to the trunks Jay and me picked out
for you, Eric?"

"Uh," standing to the left of Jared and JT, Eric replies, "Jared had a
bigger pair?!"

Jay jokes, "Just remember... the smaller the suit, the bigger the
apparatus!"

Smirking, Jared says, "You don't have to share all of my catchy phrases,
bro?!"

"You, Jare? Hah! You have a whit as long as your dick!" Jay returns, trying
to make it like Jared has a tiny pistol, instead of a machine gun!

Eric, again feeling protective of Jay and his feelings, says, "Are we going
to stand here until the sun fades or get in on the boy-watching... I mean
surfing!"

However, they all agree with Eric, mimicking with a variety of
descriptions; `surf-studs', etc.

It was new to all of them, especially Jay, trying to remain composed on top
of a stationery surfboard, slowly being raised by four able and willing
lads. First, getting the board flat and off the ground, Jared, JT, Eric and
Jake failed miserably.

"Got a plan `b', Eric?" whom acted as supervisor.

"Yeah," Eric replies, "revert to plan `a'?"

Whenever something went awry, Jay knew Jake's outcome would prevail, "I
think Eric needs to be tickle-tortured!"

Jake went for him, but Jared's palm to his bared chest stopped him, "Maybe
later. Let's use our energy to focus on the problem, guys?"

"You sound like a store manager?!" JT says.

"Hey," Eric butts in, sounding like he has a brilliant idea, "why don't we
have Mrs. Evans paged?!"

They all stare at Eric, Jared admitting, "Yeah, he does need to be
tickle-tortured!"

While pinning Eric to the sand, having him roll over on his stomach,
laughing his ass off, fingers tickling not only ribs, but pits and balls,
Jay ventures to yell out, "Get his nips!"

"Nah," Jake having the inside into, "we're saving Eric's hot spots for
you!"

Suddenly with other two, ceasing their torturing, Jared questions, "Nips?
Something you know that I don't know, bro?"

With his insinuation, the way in which Jay is taking his comment, he gives
it back to his brother, "Sure, you and JT get it on all night and what am I
supposed to do, but lay in bed every night like a rotting vegetable? I
might not be able to do much, but like I'm still driven?"

It was plain to see, the two not sticking to the sleeping arrangements,
Eric saying as he brushes the sand off his hairy front, "Yeah, he's really
good at making me hard!"

Looking up from sitting on the surfboard, Jay says, "Sorry bro, but it's
different being with a guy other than his brother?"

Dropping his knees into the soft sand, Jared replies, "I have to admit I
was reluctant to allow Eric to sleep in your room and you're right, I was
probably feeling a little over protective..."

"And jealous?" Jay smirks.

"Okay. Yeah. A little, but as I was lying there with JT, I thought, how
could two gay men, in the same bed, `not' feel compelled to get it on?"

"And `oh', for the record," JT butts in, "Jared isn't," he holds both
thumbs together, index fingers showing a small gap, "very small?"

"Shuddup," Jared wasn't serious, but says, "this is serious."

"Sorry," JT replies, mindful of breaking the rules of confident matters.

There was Eric in Jared's ear, pronouncing JT's sentence, "Tickle-torture!"

Finally, they resorted to Jared's trick of carrying Jay via piggyback. For
long distances, like from the house to his truck, Jared truly assumed the
strict positioning, grabbing hold of Jay's thighs. While JT walked next to
Jared, Eric and Jake walked behind, in case Jay's arms around the neck,
slipped, they began their trek to the surf competition.

Happening upon the scene, Jake lay out the beach towel in the sand, JT and
Eric receiving Jay, hands under the pits, clasping Jared's bod, placing him
on the towel.

After doing so, Eric studies his hands, "Oh man, Jay, my hands like," he
smells them, "reek of your smelly pits?!"

Smartly, Jay says, "You have 2 choices, Eric. Live with it or lick them
off!"

They all laughed, but Eric, taking it as a challenge gave one palm a lick,
which grossed them all out. At least they thought so, unknown to the lot,
JT thinking he might not mind doing it for Eric?!

"You're putting on weight, bro!" Jared tells him, doing some bicep
stretches.

"That's okay. Eric's going to take me to the gym sometime to beef up!" Jay
smiles.

"Lotion?" Jake asks, pulling a tube from inside the hip part of his bikini
suit.

Eric jokes, "Oh, I thought that was a part of your dick, Jake!"

They all laughed, but Jake saying, "Get off it, bro, like how many times
have you seen my dick?"

Counting on his fingers, Jay says, "1, 2, 3, 4, a hundred... or more?"

It gave everyone the inclination of the two having spent a lot of quality
time in their teen years.

So, the game plan went, after deciding Jay's breakfast wasn't holding them
over, Jake would stay while the remaining 3 would venture out for some
vittles.

After they were gone, Jake stood for a minute, casting his eyes towards the
surfing event, Jay asking, "What's happening? Anything?"

"Nah, they're justing getting warmed up," Jake replies, dropping his ass
back onto a the sand.

"Plenty of room to share?" Jay says.

Of course there was, right between Jay's legs!

However, it was not a far out idea, the two having shared a towel before
and as fate had it, they paired up just like before Jay's accident,
spreading legs a little, with some help and Jake sitting right smack dab in
between the knees.

"Just like old times," Jake quips.

"Yeah," Jay replies, feeling free to place his arms around Jake, weaving
them in between arms and obliques. "Don't let go or I'll fall on my head!"

"Hey, I'm not the one holding on?" Jake refutes.

As always, setting Jay down without anything to lean against, unless he
slouched forward, he would keel over onto his back. Such was the case, Jay
having to clasp hands under Jake's pecs!

"Oh, programs! Want one?!"

"Thanks, Jake!" Jay shouts at him, looking up, his back plastered against
the towel.

"Oops! Forgot," he says after springing up into a standing position. "I'm
still getting used to the fact... you know?" he reaches for Jay's hands, to
haul him back into the sitting position.

"I know, Jake. Never mind. Just leave me here."

"You make it sound like I'm deserting you, Jay?"

"You're not deserting me. I can't sit up without something behind me and we
don't have anything but the seawall to do that, so just go?"

"But I'm not supposed to leave you alone?"

"Make it quick and Jared won't know the difference?" Jay tells him. "And
get me a..." his voice trails off, realizing Jake is out of calling
distance, "...bottle of water."

Looking back several times, Jake makes a run to the concession stand, a
thumbs up for `gotcha!'

Too late, Jay calls out, "What about money?" Then realizing it, "He's
gone." After the fact, Jay smiles, knowing Jake will get one, if not two
programs, just by his `charm'!

Then, who happens by but the lady from down the road and her two
grandchildren. Knowing Jay's disability, he cons her and the two kids into
pulling him up, so he can see what's happening in the water.

When Jake returns, his mouth is like gaping wide open, saying, "Hey... like
how did you..."

"Magic," Jay replies. "I've been working on my levitation. I think I
finally got the hang of it!"

"Don't lie to me bro!"

This time Jake takes a spot next to Jay, his ass landing in the sand.

"Nothing like a fresh pair of baked buns!" Jay says of it.

"Shuddup and read your program!"

Looking at Jake thumb through his, Jay's curiosity is stoked, "Uh, like how
did you manage to pick up two of these without a dime in your... bikini,
dude?"

"Customer from the gas station. He remembers when you and I were pumping
gas last year, how I dumped the bottle of water over myself. He said it
left a lasting impression on him," Jake explains.

"I don't think he was the only on-n-n-n-ne-oh-h-h-h-shit!"

"I thought you had the levitation perfected?" Jake goes to catch Jay from
falling backwards, catapulted with him, when his arm across his back fails.

Picking himself up off of Jay, the force causing him to be pulled to his
right, right on top of his friend, Jay complains after Jake quickly bounces
off, "You wrinkled my program!"

"How mundane! Here, take mine, brat!" Jake trades off his copy.

Next they hear JT's voice, "Food anyone?"

"Just in time I'd say," Eric directs to the two.

Jared fills in the gap, "Yeah," guessing, "Jake saw us coming so stopped
making love to you?!"

Standing, Jake gave Jared hell, nicely, then grabbed the tray of food from
his hands.

"Now what am I supposed to eat?" he was left empty-handed.

"You really want to know, Jare?" Jake replies.

JT, the cumsucker, says, "If he doesn't want it, Jake, I'll take it!"

Eric jokes, "Nothing comes for free. You have to work for it, JT!"

"How does it feel to be left out of the equation, bro?"

"Shaddup, bro!" Jared replies to Jay, adding their trademark, tongue stuck
out!

"This isn't working with Jay leaning against nothing," Jake informs them.

"You mean `something'," Jared corrects his grammar.

"That's what I said, idiot!" Jake claims.

"No problem," Eric says, standing with his heels to Jay's back, sinking
down, backs sliding against each other.

"Only problem, Eric," Jared tells him, "the beach is this way?" the way the
others are faced.

"I know, but it's a good excuse to watch all the hot boys behind us!"

"We're here to watch the competition, Eric?" Jake says.

"I like this competition better!"

Seeing a hot guy, his age no less, Jake gets up, saying, "I'll be right
back!"

"Where's he going?" Jay wonders, like the rest.

Watching Jake talk with the surf-dude, he takes the guys board and then,
placing it under his arm, runs back towards them.

"What are you going to do with that?" Jared asks.

"You'll see." Jake, walking around, behind Jay, kicks Eric in the side of
the butt, "Move, doofus!"

Surprised, Eric exclaims, "You kicked me in the butt!"

"You're lucky it wasn't the balls. Move!"

Throughout the day, no one kept tally of who was deserving of a
tickle-torturing, but it pretty much covered each of them, plus some idiots
who blocked their view and whom they didn't know.

It happened a lot too, the others standing, realizing Jay could not and
then stooping to his level.

Finally, Jay, feeling sorry for holding them back, says, "Why don't you
guys go get closer. I'll be alright."

Eric says, "You guys go. I'll stay here with Jay."

They did, but about ten minutes later, Jay, being very convincing, sends
Eric to stand with them.

From a distance, Jay can see the flack Jared is giving Eric, but then,
weird, Jared waves to him, like finally he's achieved some independence!

Swiping the feeling from him, he hears from above, "Thanks for minding my
board, dude!" Along with that, the board is swiped away from holding him
up!

Falling back, his sunglasses, a product of gravity and inertia, fly off his
face. Reaching above, Jay cannot find them, exuding a "Dammit dude!" he
curses out the surfer!

If that wasn't enough, a whole bunch of whistling and cheering comes from
near the water, the direction the surf-dude went in. Shortly after, there's
a mad dash for the water, coming right by him. Only protection Jay has, is
to roll up in a ball, something unconquerable by Jay at the
moment. Instead, his forearms, worked partially over his chest and face,
his only protective sheeting.

Suddenly, at the moment he feels like it's imminent, being trampled, he
hears a dog growl and bark. Taking his guard down over one eye, he sees
this German shepherd standing almost over his head.

For the first time since his accident, Jay is crying his heart out, having
been scared shit by the invading crowd of bare feet and scurrying legs.

Next, hearing near silence, he feels a wet tongue slurped up his arm.

Letting down his guard, using his hands as shade, he looks straight into
the face of the dog who `saved' him from being trampled, "Who are you?"

"If he could talk, he'd tell you his name is Thor!" he hears.

He sees a human arm intervene, placed around the dog's neck.

"You're okay mate. Don't worry. Thor won't let anyone do you harm. He's a
good dog," he gives Thor a hefty shuffling of hair on top of the head.

"I..." Jay sees his rescuers for the first time, first dog, then man, "I've
never been so scared in my whole life," he sobs, at least not since he woke
up in the hospital to find his legs didn't work.

"Let's get you up," he helps Jay sit up.

"You know?" was Jay's first impression of being helped to sit up, knowing
he couldn't very well do it solo.

"It's my job, mate," the guy says, "to serve and protect people on the
beach and in the water."

So Jay thought, seeing the bare dude, except for the red speedo. Even
though he thought him to be a little `old' for a bikini suit, nevertheless,
he packed it just fine!

"The little white cross, you're a lifeguard?" Jay says, feeling kind of
cool, the `lifeguard' keeping him from keeling over backwards.

"Search and rescue. Thor and me, we searched and rescued our first victim
of the day!"

Being blunt, because apparently it escaped the S&R dude, "Who might you be,
mate?"

He jokes, speaking to his dog, "Oh, Thor you didn't tell him my name? It's
Arthur Risley, but they call me `Arrow'."

"Well, I'm glad you saw that I needed help and sent," Jay dwells on him a
moment, "Thor to tell people to go around me?"

"No one meant you harm. Instead of heads down, they were focused on the two
surfers in the water," Arrow replies.

"I'm here with my brother, Jared. He always has someone watch me, but I
always try to be independent. I'm going to have to be someday. To make a
long story short, this was one time I told him to leave me by myself and I
would be okay."

Having watched from afar, before the rush, Arrow knew Jay had some type of
disability, but the other guys, he couldn't pick out which was the brother,
saying, "I see."

"Yeah, he's been real good to me, like father, mother and anyone else all
rolled into one. Except maybe Jake. He's my best friend from high school."
Realizing he's getting in deep talking about his personal life, which could
be boring details for a stranger, "I used to be a topnotch surfer myself,"
Jay says with adamant pride.

"Nice. Uh, lay back a second. I'll go get you a chair," Arrow helps Jay
recline. "Stay, Thor."

While he was gone, Jay talks to the dog, "Thor. What a mighty name for a
dog who saved my life!"

"Where'd the dog come from?" Jared asks, a few feet from the blanket.

"His name is Thor. He saved my life. He belongs to Arrow."

They were all caught up in Jay's information, each picking up on a
different subject, about the dog, saving of Jay's life and the identity of,
"Arrow?"

Jay was about to tell all when 4 lifeguards show up, towing a white-painted
lifeguard tower in the sand.

Thor barked, seeing his master, who said, "Stay there, boy!"

He did, Thor sticking right at Jay's side.

JT asks, "Mm-mm, which one is the arrow?"

"Down, boy," Jay wasn't saying for the dog's benefit!

In no time, the tower was set in place, Arrow remaining of the four
lifeguards to explain, "This is an old tower, taken out of service?" asked
of the standing out member of Jay's clan. "I take it, you're Jay's brother
he has raved about?" Arrow sticks his hand out, offering the gesture, since
Jared stands there, frozen like a statue, taking the whole scene in.

"Jared," he slowly raises his right hand to torso lever, "and who might you
be?" he looks in Arrow's face.

Sensing something amiss, Jay, instead of following Jared's lead,
counteracts, "Like, o'my god, lighten up Jare. This is Arrow. It's `his'
dog that saved me from getting trampled!"

"I see," Jared turns right around and faces Eric, "I thought you were
supposed to be watching my bro?"

Normally, if Jared was right, he was right and Jay didn't contradict him,
but with the feeling hitting him, Jay says, "If you're going to blame
anyone Jare, I told Eric to go have some fun and I could watch out for
myself. Besides, if you want to blame anyone, blame the dude who ripped his
board out of the sand!"

Eric says, "I told you, Jared." Though, even with Jay's words to back him
up, he still sensed mistrust from Jared.

Even JT put his two cents in, "Eric's right."

Not allowing it to die, Jared replies, "When I want your opinion, I'll ask
for it, JT!"

Taking the helm, Arrow interrupts, "What's the harm? As it turns out, Jay
is safe and..." his arm raises up, showing off the tall lifeguard's chair,
"I have this perch for Jay, whereas he can view everything above the
crowd?"

Lightening up, seeing he was being way over reactive, Jared asks, "How do
we launch him up there?"

"Oh wait!" Jay stops them in their thinking.

"What, mate?"

"Thor. He can't sit up there!"

Jared returns with slightly dismal comment, "Don't get attached to a dog
which is not yours, Jay."

Instead of Jared, Jay turns to his new lifeguard friend, "Can I borrow Thor
for the day, Arrow?"

"Today. Tomorrow. Whenever you want," Arrow cheerfully replies. Before the
conversation goes off onto any other tangents, Arrow directs to Jared, "By
the way, Mate, coming up the beach right now, I could swear you were Matt
Bomer. Any relations?"

Before Jared could answer, Eric says, "And isn't Jay the spittin' image of
Zac Efron?"

"Oh no," Arrow says dramatically, "much better looking!"

Suspicious, because Arrow could pass for twice Jay's age or more, "How did
you get the name Arrow?"

Realizing he didn't offer a proper introduction, puts his hand out again,
taking Jared, "Arthur Risley is my real name. When I was 10, someone called
me by that name, seeing me on my first surfboard, sailing over the waves. I
suppose I reminded them of an arrow, sailing through the air? Anyhow, it
stuck and everyone has adopted to calling me it."

Eyeing the broad swimmer's shoulders and musculature of Arrow's chest and
stomach, of how he filled out the red speedo, Jared says, "Please though,
don't allow Jay to fall in love with your dog. He's had enough of a rough
time of the past year?"

"I understand, but I think they are getting to be good friends. As with
humans, friends don't have to feel obligated to sleep with each other?"
Though Arrow wouldn't mind sleeping with the Matt Bomer lookalike!"

"I see," Jared said, for the first time cracking a little smile, not
totally referencing it to Thor and his brother!

"Hey, Jared! Look at me!" Jay held his arms out wide to the sides, up on
top of the old lifeguard's tower.

To each side, JT and Eric held him there.

"I think it's too dangerous," Jared says, reaching both hands up and
bracing his brother's knees. "Get him down!"

Not wanting another scene with Jared, Eric promotes the idea, he and JT
gently bringing Jay down, him sliding right into Jared's arms.

"I was okay, Jare. Really I was?"

He looked to Arrow for an ally, however was a little disappointed to hear
him say, "Your brother's right, mate. Bad call on my part. I'll have the
boys come over and take it away."

On the other hand, Jared was all prepared to hear Arrow back up his
brilliant idea, gone wrong, "You think so?"

Arrow says, "I'll just run over to the shack and grab a beach chair."

While gone, JT and Eric decide to tidy up their quadrant from the lunch
garbage.

Jake, picking up his sunglasses, blowing the sand off, looks up at the sky
with them in hand, "I hope these aren't yours, Jay?"

"Um, yeah," Jay, seeing the condition of them bent out of shape, one side
hanging off, "they `were' mine?!" Not really on his mind for the moment,
Jay sitting there, Thor right at his side, says, "Arrow, he's a nice guy,
huh?"

Looking for his brother's approval, Jared goes the roundabout way, "You
know I am always on the defensive about meeting new people, where you're
concerned?"

"You were okay with Eric and JT?"

"Yes, because I knew them for more than 5 minutes?"

Seeing it Jared's way, Jay says, "I guess, but can you not get mad at
Thor?"

Jared contests, "I'm not mad at the dog..."

"He's got a name, Jare!"

"Okay, so I'm not mad at `Thor', but I don't want you getting
attached. This `Arrow' might just take off and we never see him again and
then you'll be depressed over the dog going with him, after you've made
friends with him?"

Jay immediately smiles, giggles.

"What's buzzing around in that devious head of yours, bro?"

"Nothing," but then like he's right, a sinister thought forming, "but why
don't you do something so Arrow doesn't even think about it?" Jay winks!

Pushy, JT says, "Yeah, Jared," followed by backup, Eric rendering, "Yeah,
Jared!"

"Because I'm already spoken for," Jared replies. "Speaking of which I'm
supposed to call Paul around right about this time, if you all will excuse
me?" Walking away, he turns, "Keep an eye on Jay, Eric, no matter what he
claims?"

Picking his cell up out of a fold in the towel, Jared heads off, away from
the noisy crowd.

"Hey! You'll neve-e-e-er guess what?" Jake stands there, hands on his
torso.

Jay guesses, "You met a hot surferboy?"

"Well, yeah," Jake replies, "but he's got a really nice board, too and says
when he's not using it, I can catch some waves with it!" A quick switch of
his head, Jake says, "Oh, here he comes now. I told him I wanted him to
meet my best bud!"

Coming there were quite a few guys, being chased by waves. Jay in
particular picked out one husky, hairy dude, "I hope it's the dude in red
bikini!"

Red was the key color, according to Jake's find, but it wasn't the husky
cub, but rather a streamlined ginger fellow, "Hey," he greets the surfer.

Jake introduces, "This is Adam!"

"Hello everyone, how's it going?" Adam gets his dibs in before anyone else.

When Jake woke up this morning, he knew Eric would be hanging around with
him for the day. Little did he know there would be so many hot guys moving
in and out as the sun hovered in the sky!

No exception, not as hot as the cubby guy he saw, Adam was more chunky than
say Jake's lithe bod. Muscled, but not overtly, no defined six pack. Taut
throughout, it showed Adam worked out. He also wondered whatever it was
that kept his front pocket full, even though exposed to the sea surf!

Right away, with expertise on surfing, plus an in with Arrow, Adam steals
them all away to meet the top surfers on the circuit.

"Oh wait!" Eric does a quick about face, falling on his belly in the sand.

It makes Jay laugh his ass off, "You're so funny, Eric!"

"I didn't mean to be. Honest! I forgot about Jared's warning and here I am
rushing off, just to meet up with some other hot surfers," he climbs to
doggie style, looking at Jay.

Very suggestive, Jay asks, "Want help cleaning the sand off your chest?"

"Okay," Eric says, "but be careful when you get near the nips?!"

"I will be. Don't worry. Don't want you busting out of Jare's swim trunks!"

"Need some help there, Edward?" Arrow asks.

Both at once, Jay and Eric reprimand him, "It's Eric!"

"Oh right. Sorry there, mate."

"Thanks, Arrow, but Jay's already dusted me off!"

Though, for looks sake, Eric would not have minded the tall Aussie laying a
hand or two on him!

"How are you and Thor getting along?" Arrow asks Jay.

"He's a good dog. Never complains. Also... don't mind what my brother says
about Thor. Human or animal, he's always mindful of someone or thing
getting too close to me and then cutting out, though Jare should be the
last to complain of something like that!"

Arrow knew there was a story to be told, seeing Jay and Eric lock eyes.

Returning, Arrow asks, "What's up mate?" steering his attention in Adam's
direction.

"Nothing much, other than taking the guys into the private zone to meet the
surf-mongers," Adam replies.

Nothing less than hot men, JT diverts the attention given to them, "Nice
surf'n'rescue crew you have, Arrow!"

"Thanks. Uh, how's the crowd control?" Arrow asks his colleague.

Obviously, it was a ploy to get Adam back on the job, "I'm on it as we
speak," Adam's feet were already making tracks in the sand.

JT is the only one to yell, "See ya later, Adam!" with a big wave of his
arm.

Much had happened in the past 2 hours, Jay keeping tally, like a script of
a soap opera, Eric at first gravitating towards JT, the action
reciprocated, then when he thinks his brother and JT might have something
going, Jared places himself back in Paul's court. Jake? Jake was Jake, with
one boy one day, another the next. When it came to Arrow's scenario, it's
one with not much variety. The whole time he's interacted with the gang,
it's always himself Arrow has stuck near, physically and in speaking,
except for Thor, who has stuck by his side like they were attached by
leash.

That's how it came to be, Arrow telling Eric it was okay to go have some
fun, that he would take on the duty of sitting with Jay.

Twice Jay felt Arrow lean near him, once when they were laughing, joking
over the cub, telling some lady and her kids they were too close to where
the surfers would be finding landfall and then another time, same
lifeguard, telling some teenagers they could not bring their drinks into
the water. One of them got ticked off at the lifeguarding cub and threw his
drink right at the guard's chest!

Whether he thought, knew or didn't know if Arrow were gay, Jay slips,
"Probably be delicious licking that off!" he laughs, then suddenly realizes
Arrow not a part of the regular, gay gang, "Oops!"

If he was gay, Arrow wasn't letting on just yet, saying, "I bet Jeffry
would not have a problem with that!"

Still, curious about Arrow, Jay wants to find out now, "Oh, but you would?"

Turning to Jay, cocking an eye, Arrow asks, "Are you hitting on me mate?"

"Maybe, but being that you don't have an angry action, like about to punch
my lights out for insinuating, I assume I have the answer I was fishing
for?"

Cocking his head to the side, one eye distorted from the other, Arrow says,
"All I can say is, if Thor approves, I'd love to accept the invitation to
go out on a date with you, Jay!"

Inside, Jay's soul filled with excitement, rather the idea of Arrow maybe
rushing things. With words meant to stall, so he could think about
everything taking its course so fast, "You know I'm 20-years old?"

Instead of relying on himself, Arrow asks Thor, "How old am I again?"

Thor barks once.

"I'm 39. That a problem for you?" Arrow responds.

"Wait. Thor barks once and that means you're 39-years old? That doesn't
make sense!"

"A lot of things Thor says, doesn't!"

At the absurdity, Jay just couldn't help but laugh!

With the humor dying down, Jay looks behind the crowd on the beach, seeing
a small figure of that husky lifeguard slowly get bigger, which means he is
walking towards them.

"Here he comes again!" Jay says.

However, the cub is easy on the eyes for Jay, especially when the man has
the main prerequisite for courtship, a dark mass of hair covering pecs and
stomach. One thing which, in his own mind, he doesn't approve of is a husky
guy wearing a bikini-like swimsuit, too much of the stomach overextended!

Jay is a little disappointed, when Arrow stands, says, "I better go see
what's bugging the man."

In protest, his emotions kicking in, ones which did not have any
rationalized attachment, Jay says, "Why don't you wait? Jeffry's headed
right towards us?"

Smiling while looking down upon Jay, Arrow reads him like a score sheet,
"Oh don't worry your pretty little head, mate. I'll make sure I bring
Jeffry along on our date!"

Liking that, Jay says, "And don't forget your mathematical dog!"

Adam came back to report that the same lady with the two kids, would not
leave the surfers area.

"Time to turn on the ole Aussie charm," Arrow would handle it, beginning to
walk away, Jeffry following. "No, you stay with Jay. Someone needs to be
with him or else his brother's balls will get all twisted up in a knot!"

"That bad, huh?" Jeffry says, sitting right down in the sand where Arrow's
ass had made an impression!

"What did Arrow mean with the `ole Aussie charm' business?" Jay asks,
watching, as Jeffry did, Arrow headed for the two tweens playing in the
water, the overweight mother trying to control them.

Laughing, Jeffry says, "Could go one way or the other. Either the boys will
listen and learn or be forced to listen, then learn. I kind of hope it's
the latter!"

"Why's that?" Jay inquires, not immune to the forest covering Jeffry's pecs
and stomach.

"Arrow has a way about himself, like he can be very persuasive, without
offending. It's like he can read a person he doesn't even know and 99% of
the time he's right on it. He's also very caring and if he reads you right,
will treat you like he's known you for years. Arrow can be a very
compassionate person, when the situation presents itself."

"Hm-m," it came to Jay, "must be why he sent Thor over to keep all those
people from trampling me to death!"

"Sometimes it works that way, but other times Thor seems like he has a mind
of his own. I always figured it was something he picked up from Arrow. You
know he's owned Thor since he was a pup and as memory recalls, I don't
think there's been a time when the two have been separated?" Jeffry pets
Thor.

"How come you know so much about Arrow, and Thor, for that matter?" Jay
draws his attention away from the incident at the shoreline, divided by
masses of surfers and the press.

Smiling, like he hid something, Jay finds Jeffry indeed has been blanketing
his thoughts, "Neither of us make this public, but back in Australia, we
once had a blooming relationship going."

"What happened to it. I mean, I was under the impression, by the way you
talk, something was going on?" Jay asks.

"Don't get me wrong, Arrow is really great in bed, but other than that,
it's more like we're friends. It works for us, because then we don't feel
guilty, or feel like we need an explanation if we meet up with another guy
and hold hands or share a kiss," Jeffry replies.

"An open relationship," Jay terms it.

"Sort of, only most of the time the back door is closed! If you're not part
of the relationship, you don't go there!" Jeffry laughs.

"I'm not sure I understand all that, Jeffry?"

"It's okay. Sometimes it's tough for me to digest, but Arrow, he seems to
have it all together."

"Tell me more about him," Jay pried, with intentions of finding how far
back in time Jeffry and Arrow's association continued.

"Okay, but would you be able to put some sunscreen on my back?"

"Is that okay with Arrow?" Jay had this feeling it would be!

"Of course. He doesn't `own me', you know?"

"Oh!" Jay is startled by the quick retort, amending his views, "What gave
you the impression I would think... it?"

Thor moving a little to the side, Jeffry knelt in front of Jay.. Sitting
against a board, Arrow not finding a chair, Jeffry didn't have a clue Jay's
legs couldn't will them to move, openly saying it, "Oh, your legs. They
don't..."

Through this, as Jay smeared lotion over Jeffry's back, Jeffry's
questioning gave him knowledge to how Jay wound up with both legs unable to
function, Jay concluding his story of how he can't function, except to pee,
down yonder, "...And that's how it went, from becoming a 5-star surfer to
`no stars!'"

He had a feeling, possibly the fact of greasy hands halting circular
motions on his back, Jeffry turns his head, "I know the feeling."

Perhaps bitter over his own dilemma, Jay angrily says, "How would you
know?" and then hangs his head, chin dropped right to his chest, which,
because in order for his spine to remain erect, gravity play a part, Jay
keels over.

Just in time, Jeffry realizes it, turning his head sideways, so that, when
Jay's bod caves forward, the side of his cheek comes to rest against
Jeffry's oily back.

Turning a sad moment to glad, Jeffry, prone to his own emotional cave-ins,
now gets the gist of Jay's condition, sitting more upright, pushing Jay
backwards, so his back presses against the board Arrow had lodged into the
ground, saying, "I'm sorry, Jay, but I didn't mean I understood how it felt
to lose mobility," Jeffry slowly turns around, sitting on his knees, uses
his hands on Jay's shoulders to avoid any other faltering. "What I meant
is... I don't really make this public, but once I had depression real bad
and if it wasn't for Arrow, I might not..." even now tough to face suicidal
tendencies, "be here today," Jeffry realizes the palms of his hands
lingering too long, "bracing you up."

Will to put differences aside, of which now Jeffry has somewhat cleared the
air, Jay says, "I think Thor wants something.

Looking in the direction of the cooler, set on his towel by Arrow, Jeffry
keys in on Thor standing on all fours, nose resting on the lid, "I think
he's telling us he's thirsty?"

However, before removing the pillars holding Jay in place, it's Jay who
confirms, "You can let go now."

Smiling, Jeffry says, "Not so sure I want to?"

"And let Thor go thirsty?" Jay snaps back with.

"Oh right... Thor," Jeffry replies, taking the lid off of the cooler,
removing a clear bottle of water and replacing the lid. Twisting the cap
off, he hands it to Jay, "Here."

Not even thinking about taking a swig himself, Jay holds the bottle out a
distance. With his attention on Thor's thirsty tongue hanging out, Jay
reaches further.

"Whoa!" Jeffry calls out, his reflexes kicking when Jay's shoulders fall
forward, hand pushing against Jay's chest!

"Thanks, you saved my life again!" Jay says, even though it was a minor
maneuver and not life threatening.

"Hey, what's up?" Jake Lasko asks, eyes trained on Jeffry's hand.

"What does it look like, idiot? I'm feeding Thor some water!"

"Oh, for a minute there I thought maybe this guy was getting fresh with
you!"

Turning it into something it wasn't, Jay says, "Jeffry, this is my
over-jealous boyfriend, Jake."

"Oh really?" Jeffry instantly removes his hand.

"Oh my god Jeffry!" Jay exclaims.

Instead of falling onto Jeffry's back, this time it was between Jeffry's
hairy pecs!

Spying Jake drop to his knees, Jeffry claims, "I was only trying to help. I
swear!"

It was Jake replacing Jeffry's hand, only a little lower, pressing against
Jay's upper abs, "I know. Something you gotta get used to is Jay's
mentality. He likes to be a wiseass sometimes, which gets him into trouble
frequently. Then again, it makes life a lot less mundane. Move a second?"

Jeffry learns more about Jay's condition, Jake butting his shoulder up
against Jay's midsection, while placing his hands on his bud's thighs,
saying, "Ready or not!"

It was not the first, would not be the last time Jake has helped restore
Jay's bod, readjusting his spine so he could resemble sitting upright.

"Oh, so that's how it's done?"

"Yeah," Jay nicely complains, "if you don't mind the wind knocked out of
ya!"

"Don't be mean to me," Jake says, "or I won't introduce you to my hot
boyfriend, stoopid!"

Jay says, "Cheating on me again, Jake?"

"Shut up. He's on his way over here. Be nice!" Jake warns.

Seeing who is walking through the sand, Jeffry, placing both hands on the
sides of his face, exclaims, "Oh my god! You don't mean Blue?"

Thinking wrongly, Jay says, "You're going to have to wait awhile. Your
boyfriend who's stealing you away from me is trying to get that Blue-dude's
autograph!"

It wasn't only Jeffry who knew of the new, up and coming star of the
surfing circuit, Jay laughing as he said it, "If he comes this way, tell
him he can autograph my chest!"

The laugh was on Jay, when Jeffry's intuition was correct, Jay leading Blue
over to the towel, not his groupie followers!

"Oh my god, the man himself!" Jay gawks over the 21-year old surfer.

As he went to upright himself, a normal reaction, forgetting about his
disabilities, Jay again loses balance. No human could make it there fast
enough, Thor jumping to the rescue his bod bracing Jay.

Even though Adrian `Blue' Gillette was upon the perimeter of the towel, Jay
could not allow the reward to slip by, "Thor, my hero!" throwing both arms
over the dog!

Of course, budding biggie of the surf world, 2 security dudes flanked to
Blue's side, the surfer escaping Jake's side, falling to his knees, himself
rewarding Thor, "What a remarkable dog! It is like," Blue says with a
French twang, "right away he senses your thoughts. I saw the whole thing!"

Which, in Jake's mind, if Blue's attention was locked in on Jay, then he
must've been checking his friend out. Who won't? The older Jay got, Jake
noticed how his mundane features became more enhanced and as Jay aged from
teenager into adulthood, he became more and more attractive, to the point
he could double for Zac Efron in any movie Zac ever made! Knowing Jay for a
lengthy period of time, soul buddies, Jake knew there wasn't a malicious
feeling about Jay, saying, "This here is Blue."

Jeffry repeats, "Jay wants your autograph Blue... On his chest!"

"Really?" Blue is petting Thor.

Amazed, maybe a little jealous, since he's been out of shape for months,
Jay says, "You're in really good shape, Blue."

"Thank you." Then, as a follow up to Jeffry, Blue asks, "You really do want
my name on your chest?" his hand is up, ready to receive a pen from one of
his security people.

"No," Jay replies, again, feeling compelled to wish for something else,
"but you can do something else for me?"

"Anything!" Blue replies.

With shared information, via Jake, each knew a little about the other, Blue
full well knowing of Jay's surfing accident.

Jay's only information from Jake, was Blue, Jake's new `boyfriend', which
prompts Jay to request, "Someday when you're famous, I want to be able to
brag to my friends I got hugged by you?"

"Figures!" Jake says, with comment, "You're life's too mundane, bro. We've
got to get you a love interest of your own!"

Waiting in the wings, outside the perimeter of the security guards,
allowing Jay the freedom of enjoying Blue's company, Jeffry was all for
filling those shoes!
