Mr Right Too Soon?

Chapter 4

Leo' stayed away from college, for several days, using illness to avoid
Nick. When he came over to see Jen, Leo stayed in his room. He knew he
had to return to college on Monday, but that gave him time to think.

Nick tried calling, but his call's always went to voicemail. He knew Leo
was avoiding him. He would go over to his house under the illusion of
seeing Jen, but Leo stayed in his room. But, Like Leo, he knew he couldn't
keep it up. He knew he would have to return to College eventually,

Nick

Standing next to his car in the parking lot, he knew that Jen would be
driving in. She usually drove Leo in as well, but this time she was alone.
"Hey sweetie," Jen said approaching him. "Hey Jen," he said, as she
approached. "No shadow again I see" Nick added. "Eh, oh Leo, no he wanted
to get the bus" she informed him, putting her arm through his. "Oh. Why?"
asking in a non- interested way. "Don't know. I told him I was ready, but
he told me to go, he would catch the bus" she informed him as they entered
the college main corridor. "Catch you at lunch Hon," she said as she
pulled away. "Yeh Jen. sure" he replied, totally distracted. He was at a
loss. Should he just let it go; keep acting like his dad wanted; or does
he follow his heart? He knew it would have a detrimental effect on his
life; but fuck!, it is his life. He headed for his first class.

Leo

He arrived five minutes late for his first class, all in an effort to avoid
the one person he didn't really want to avoid. He knew what Nick felt
because he felt it, too. He had fallen for the College wrestler. His
sisters' boyfriend. The Baptist minister' son. It couldn't be more
complicated if he tried. He knew after the first kiss this was going to
get messy. He liked Nick, but this couldn't happen. He was not the sort
of person to wreck someone else's life just to improve his own. He was not
brought up that way, especially the other person being his loving sister.
Nope, he would avoid Nick. Lovely sexy Nick...Fuck this will be tough, he
thought to himself.

Nick received a text from Jen saying she couldn't make it for lunch.
Girlfriend crisis, need to sort out, and Nick was grateful for small
mercies. He knew they would have to talk and soon if he ever envisioned
himself with Leo, even covertly. He knew who he wanted, and he knew it was
Leo...

Leo sat behind a tree, eating his vendor corndog. He had his headphones
on, listening to an English singer named James Morrison. He loved the
soulful tone of his voice. He then noticed Jen heading towards the back of
the pavilion. "Why is she meeting Nick there, of all places" he thought to
himself, curiously. He didn't have any desire to see them making out, but
went around to see why they were meeting there. He watched as she entered
the changing area. He went in, heard voices, and knew it wasn't Nick he
heard. Who the fuck is she talking to. He moved in closer, and spotted
something that shocked the fuck out of him.

Jennifer was kissing another Jock, and it wasn't Nick. It was the
quarterback. Not one of Nick's friends, but someone he despised. He
called anyone smaller than him a fag. He had even made that comment
towards him, and Jen knew that. He walked out totally disgusted at his
sister. He felt guilty for his actions, but he stopped it. He was
avoiding Nick, out of love and respect for his sister. But she was
actually knowingly cheating on Nick, one of the nicest people he had ever
known. With a total douche, no less. He felt stupid. He felt betrayed.
Did he even know her at all.

He walked back further onto campus, and he spotted Nick. His guilt now
dispersing, He walked over towards him. "Not avoiding me now, then" Nick
commented as Leo approached. "No, Sorry about that," Leo replied. "Where
is Jen?" Leo asked, already knowing where she was. Just wondered if Nick
had broken it off with her, and she, seeking solace in the arms of another.
Quick, yes, but that's Jennifer, not one to hang around. "Girlfriend
trouble... Melisa, I think" he responded.

"So you haven't broke it off yet then" Leo said, sitting on the bench
across from him. "I will, I just don't want to hurt her Leo," Nick
replied. `Do I tell him, do I tell him what I saw? It would make life a
whole lot easier, but I couldn't, not without talking to her first, Leo
said to himself. "Yeah, Melisa, drama queen, probably split a nail or
something" Leo replied. Leo sat for another ten minutes before heading for
class. "Back to avoiding each other now?" Nick asked, and Leo responded,
"No not anymore, Nick. We will work something out," and smiled and walked
towards his next lecture, texting Jen on the way.

*We need to talk*

Nick watched as Leo walked away, a bit happier than he had been. He knew
he had to break things off with Jen, and soon. He wanted Leo. If he had
to hide that fact for a while he would, but he wanted Leo, and he hoped Leo
wanted him just as badly. He picked himself and his messenger bag up and
headed to his final lectures of the day, hoping his concentration has
improved to the extent he absorbs the information being afforded him.

The afternoon drifted by and Leo looked at his phone after he switched it
back on after his lecture. He had a message from his sister.

*yeah, sure. What's up? Parking lot. after lect*

Leo headed over to his sisters car, but she had not arrived yet. Nick
however had already left. Then he spotted Jennifer walking on the parking
lot, next to the Jock he spotted her kissing. But they pretended just to
be walking in the same direction, and didn't exchange words. "Hey Leo,
what's up" Leo didn't respond. She pressed the car key' and opened the
doors. Leo got in, and waited for his sister to get in.

"Ok what's wrong, come on you can tell me" she said, "Yeah sure, you don't
have secrets, do you sis?" Leo retorted. "Ok spill, what is wrong
Leopold?" using his full name, knowing it irritated him. "You shock me
Jennifer, you really do" he responded. "What the hell did I do?" she
demanded. "Not what, who" Leo replied. "I saw you Jen, I saw you with
Jake fucking Lewis. You know how he treats people" Leo spat out. "What's
Jake got to do with me?" she demanded. "I saw you" Leo replied. "What?
We walked across the parking lot, and all of a sudden I am fucking him, is
that it, is that it Leo?" she feigned shock, that her brother thought this
of her.

"No Jen, I saw you with your tongue down his throat. I saw you kissing him
in the pavilion, I fucking saw you Jen," Leo spat out. She looked on in
shock. "You followed me, you fucking followed me" she yelled. "Don't even
try. Don't you fucking try to turn this around on me" Leo yelled. "And
Nick, what are you doing to Nick" Leo went on. "What about Nick, he's my
boyfriend" she added. "And what is Jake, a bit of rough trade?" he spat
out.

"Jake's well...he's a distraction" she smirked out,. "End it Jen, End it
right now" Leo instructed her. "Or what, Leo, or what? You gonna tell on
me, is that it? You going to tell Mom and Dad, that I've been a bad girl?"
she sneered out. "They won't believe you. They think the sun shines out
of my sweet little ass" she added.

"I don't even know you, do I," Leo said looking at the sister who has
pulled the wool over so many people's eyes. "I do what I like, and if they
make me happy, so be it" she added. "Ok sis, two can play that game. I
won't tell Mom and Dad, I don't give a shit about Jake, but I will tell
Nick" he answered.

"No you won't. See, Nick loves and trusts me. He won't believe someone
like you" she spat out. "You loser. You don't have a clue about life and
how it works" she informed him. "I really don't know you do I" Leo
repeated. "Leo, sweet innocent, stupid, little brother, you see what I
want you to see," she said, looking like an angel, but with the devil in
her eyes.

"Now get the fuck out of my car. Get the fucking bus" she spat out,

"And Leo, keep your fucking mouth shut, because trust me, you don't want
to cross me" she spat out and smirked, with a giggle in her voice.
Convinced she had the upper hand, she drove away.

Leo looked stunned as he couldn't believe what had just transpired with
his sister. He had never had a cross word with her; but had she just been
playing him, playing his parents? He thought about the whole altercation,
and then came to one important thing. After he sat and thought things
through... The gloves are off. The battle for Nick's affection is on. He
pulled his cell phone from his pocket and switched the record function off.
The whole conversation with his sister was there to use if needed. He
thought he would use this app, and he was right. His mother and father
thought the sun did shine from her ass, but now he had proof. She was
nothing but a cold calculating manipulative bitch

"Yeah sis, game on...BITCH"

To be continued...
