				    VI

As it turned out Curtis certainly liked being with Roger at least as much
as he liked being with Jimmy. So the young yeoman would become Wilbur's
replacement for as long as his temporary duty lasted.

Meanwhile, Ben introduced Kyle to Elmer's Tune, a gay club where Ben
earlier had discovered several willing boy toys. The club didn't enforce
underage drinking laws all that strictly anyway, but with Ben's say so,
Kyle was quickly accepted as a regular. That gave him still another place
to cruise for possible playmates for Roger as well as for himself.

Summer was also passing and classes at the university would be starting
soon.

Kyle was surprised one late July morning, however, to receive an email
forwarded by Ben to both him and Roger. The message was from Clarence. It
read:

"Willie is very sick and needs help. I have contacted Mr. Beane, but
got no response. Mr. Beane doesn't know about you and Roger, so I
thought you might help Willie and me."

Then there was a reply from Roger:

"Looks like Clarence may be threatening blackmail. What do you
        think? Willie have AIDS?"

An answer from Ben:

"Well Clarence was my best friend. And Willie's your in-law. I'll
        see what's up."

It turned out that Willie didn't have AIDS, but MS can be almost as bad.
He needed therapy and very expensive medications. He had no medical
insurance, and neither he nor Clarence had the resources to pay the costs
of treatment. They hadn't had a sustainable income for some time.
Clarence used to do well as a stripper in gay San Francisco clubs, but as
he had aged their clientele no longer found him acceptable. So only low
wage, unattractive jobs were available to either of them.

Roger tended to be pretty hard-assed about the whole thing. "Fucking
hospitals have to treat him if he goes to the emergency room," he fumed.
"Why the hell do we have to worry about the son-of-a-bitch?"

Ben, however, felt more obligated. They finally agreed to send a one-time
payment of $40,000 to provide whatever help that would pay for. Ben and
Roger each put up half, but they were careful to make sure the money could
not be traced back to them.

That's how Kyle found himself on a plane to San Francisco, carrying an
overnight bag stuffed with hundred dollar bills.

He was met at San Francisco International by Clarence, who drove him in a
battered VW Van to the couple's dingy apartment in the Tenderloin. There
he was to see that Willie's condition was much worse than Ben and Roger had
thought. He was scarcely functioning.

Both men seemed happy to see Kyle, however, and Clarence was especially
curious about his sex life. Kyle didn't say anything about his duties as
procurer for his father, but he described his own conquests in obscene
detail. Clarence's faded denims signaled the extent of his arousal, and
Kyle relished watching the older man in frustration massage his groin
through the thin fabric of his jeans.

"So you're not getting any these days?" he asked Clarence.

"Not as much as I need," the older man answered. "I can sometimes find a
quickie around the Tenderloin, but Willie aint up to much these days. It
sure as shit aint like it used to be. We were fucking or getting fucked
around the clock."

"Want me to help you out?" Kyle asked.

"I thought you'd never offer," Clarence answered. He quickly moved to the
chair Kyle was sitting in and pulled him to his feet, pulled him close, and
added, "I wish we were all back home."

Kyle was wearing an open-at-the-collar dress shirt and chinos, and Clarence
quickly unbuttoned and unzipped both. In seconds he was feeling the
younger man up, savoring his muscular chest and abs and seconds later was
tasting his hard rod. Kyle hadn't cum in over twenty-four hours, so he was
ready for action. Soon, he was fucking Clarence' face. "Eat that
motherfucker!" he cried, and then emptied his balls into Clarence throat.

"Lemme fuck that sweet ass," Clarence begged.

"I guess you're still man enough," Kyle retorted. He finished removing his
clothes and fell onto the bed.

"Yes...I...want...to see...you get fucked," Willie stammered.

Clarence quickly stripped and climbed on top of Kyle.

Kyle was vigorously pounded, and Clarence soon dumped his load into Kyle's
colon. Kyle didn't get much pleasure from the exercise, but Willie became
so excited that Kyle was afraid he'd have a heart attack on the spot.

Kyle did have a plane to catch, however. The trip to San Francisco after
all was for the single purpose of delivering the money. Kyle would love to
have stayed over to sample some of the gay action he'd heard about, but his
return reservation was already made.

He relayed to Clarence the instructions he'd been given. They were to open
accounts in four different banks, and each week for the next ten weeks they
were to deposit around a thousand dollars in each account. Roger and Ben
didn't want unnecessary attention called to their new-found wealth.
Clarence agreed, and Kyle passed over the bag of cash. By seven o'clock he
and Clarence were back at the airport. At nine he was on the plane to
Atlanta. By the next morning he would be home.

After the seat belt sign had been turned off and snacks had been served,
however, a handsome flight attendant squatted down by Kyle's seat. For
once Kyle was glad he was on the aisle.

"Was that Clarence I saw you with in front of the terminal?" the hot guy
whispered.

"Yeah," Kyle answered. "You know him?"

"Not so often lately. But we've been together. If you're interested,
after people have dozed off go to the john and leave the door unlocked."

So that's how Kyle became a member of the mile high club.

Next day he told his dad and Ben that he didn't think Willie was long for
this world. Roger said he hoped that they hadn't wasted the money.

Roger also told Kyle it was time to find a replacement for Clark. Football
season was coming up and Clark would be busy with practice and games and
"probably getting fucked by his teammates."

So that's what brought Kyle to Elmer's Tune a few nights later. He was
sitting, facing away from the bar—that's what guys do at gay bars—and
he saw Conner come through the door. He was perfect. Tall, blond, his
North European good looks radiant even in the dimly lit club. And Kyle
could see that he wasn't the only guy there that was attracted to the
newcomer.

As it happened Conner selected a stool just down from Kyle and ordered a
Bud. The bartender said, "Sorry, dude, but I haven't seen you in here
before. I'll have to see your I.D."

Kyle could detect a trace of panic, so he headed off a confrontation.
"He's O.K., Bob," Kyle laughed. "Baby faced friend of mine. He's old
enough for sure. You been O.K., buddy?"

"Yeah. Had a hard summer, though." He moved to the stool next to Kyle.

After Conner got his beer, he whispered. "Thanks, man. I do have a fake
I.D., but it sure as hell looks it. Conner's the name."

"Jimmy's mine. They aren't too particular here once they've seen you
around."

So that's how Kyle got the drop on all the other wolves hungry for Conner's
bod. And that's what led a few nights later to Roger "discovering" Conner
eating Kyle and asking to join in.

But Kyle also got one hell of a shock, when the semester began. He walked
into his first class in Business History and saw that Conner was one of his
classmates. That was strictly against the rules Roger had laid out.
