Well here is the series premiere of my new series. Here are some reviews

I hope everyone likes it. So here it is "Searching My Soul" the Pilot

"PILOT"

****ALEX****

I don't know how it all began. My name is Alex Hallingstern, I'm your average
gay male, I'm 5'11 150 lbs, have a nice body and I'm VERY straight acting. My
life has always been full of challenges. When I was young and I wanted
somthing, I would earn and save my money, I would pick up change I found on
the ground and I would save up until I got what I wanted, and even though I
ussually got over that peticular thing that I wanted in less than five
minutes I was filled with the satisfation that I earned it. Then in high
school there was a teacher who everybody disliked even the faculty, so I
organized a petition and I had all the students sign it and we fought until
that evil teacher from hell was gone. I was always proud of my achievements
and I thought that my days of tough challenges were finally coming to a
close, but as it turned out my toughest challenge was to come, one that would
last for life. Finding my soul mate. The thought of it seems so simple; I
would meet a guy, we would talk, flirt, exchange phone numbers, date and then
we would eventually end up being together forever. Well there's just one
thing to say about that "simple thought"...easier said than done.

It all started when I was on my way to work. I was single and very happy
being single. I'm a waiter. I work at this little resteraunt. It's a great
place. It's a place where everyone knows each other and we're all friends.
Well anyway, I was walking down the street and I looked across the street
and I saw a heterosexual couple kissing on a street corner. Cute, I thought,
then I looked ahead of me and there was a lesbian couple walking hand in
hand. Okay then I looked down and I saw these two men together sitting down
at a resteraunt, one of the men leaned in and whispered somthing to the other
man. I looked the other way and there was another couple kissing and then
there was another. Then all of the sudden a huge line of couples, gay,
straight, lesbians, animals all these couples were parading right by me. I
looked at all of them with shock. I tried to get through, but I couldn't.
Then I just screamed at the top of my lungs.

"GET A ROOM!" I yelled

Then I looked back and all the couples were gone. Well except for the three
couples that I saw before. All the people on the street were looking at me.
So now, my face was red with embarrassment I turned around and headed to the
resteraunt. What did all of that mean? Were all those couples supossed to
represent somthing? Then it hit me.

"Holy Crap!" I yelled as someone bumped into me.

"Oh my God!, I am so sorry." some guy said helping me up. "I was looking over
some files I have and didn't see you. I hope I didn't bump into you too hard."

Wow, he was kind of cute. He was about 6 feet tall, brown hair, brown eyes,
he looked like he had some muscle under neath his suit.

"Oh it's okay you just errected me." I replied, then he gave me a peculiar
look. "I mean, you just excited me." I said trying to recover, but then he
gave a little smile. "I mean startled me!" I said finally. God could I be a
bigger moron?

"It's okay, you kind of excited me too." the man replied and gave me a slight
wink.

"Was that a wink you just gave me?" I asked smiling a little

"No, my contact is just bugging me." He said and blinked his eyes a few times.

"Oh." I replied feeling my face turn red with embarrassment.

"Well anyway, it was nice bumping into you. What's your name?" He asked

"Alex." I replied

"Well, nice to meet you. I'm David." He replied

"Okay well David, nice meeting you. If you ever want to get somthing good to
eat. You can stop by my place." I said "Uh, I mean my resteraunt. It's called
Daniel's it's right down the street."

"K, thanks maybe I'll stop by there for lunch." David said

"Okay well then I'll look foward to seeing you." I replied

"Well, I better get to work." David said

"Oh, yea me too." I said "See ya."

I then turned and walked to the resteraunt. Well he seemed nice. Anyway,
what was I thinking about? Oh yea, the people kissing. Why was it all of the
sudden bugging me now? Why did I all of the sudden care?....Oh my God. Aw
crap!

"I'm supossed to find my soul mate now." I said to myself. Then an old lady
turned and looked at me. "Eyes front." I said sharply and she quickly turned
her head too look the other way.

When I got to the resteraunt the first person to come up to me was Kevin.
Kevin's my best friend. He's 6'2 dark hair, brown eyes, muscular and thin.
He's gay too. He works as a waiter here too and we have competitions every
night to see who can get the most tips.

"Alex, great your here. Dan wants to see you." He said

"What? See me? Why?" I asked, Dan was the chef here who owned the resteraunt.
We dated about a year ago, but I broke up with him. We like to pretend that
we're still friends, but it's clear to see that there is still some tension
between us.

"I don't know, he just said that he wanted to see you as soon as you got in."
Kevin said

"Okay, thanks." I said then headed towards the kitchen.

Going into the kitchen to talk to Dan was like being sent to the gates of
hell. Sure Dan was a nice guy and all, but it's just so uncomfortable when
I'm with him. I got my strength up and went into the kitchen. Dan's back was
too me he was chopping somthing up. Great just what I want to see Dan holding
when he talks to me, a knife.

"Dan you wanted to see me?" I asked

Dan turned around and faced me. Dan was 6'1 he had brown hair and blue eyes.
He had a surfer boy type of look to him. Maybe because he liked to surf. Now,
I know what you all are probably thinking. Is this resteraunt just full of
gay people? Well actually it's not, there's just Kevin, Dan, and me the rest
of the staff is completely straight.

"Oh great, Alex your here. Okay well I just wanted to let you know that this
Saturday we are cattering a party so I need you to keep that day free okay?"
Dan asked

"Oh, yea sure. That's fine." I replied

"K, thanks." Dan said

I began to turn to leave, but then turned back to Dan.

"Um Dan? We, we were together for almost three years. Why do you think it was
that we split up?" I asked

"You broke up with me." Dan said

"Well that's besides the point. We had a good thing there." I said

"Yea, we did." Dan replied as he stepped closer to me.

Then the kitchen door opened and Sandy walked in. Sandy was very cute. She
was 5'7 blonde hair and green eyes. She was very thin. If she was a little
taller she could seriously be a model.

"Hey you two." Sandy said

"Hi Sandy." Dan said stepping away from me.

"Hey Sandy." I said

"Here's the orders from table 7 Dan." Sandy said pinning it up.

"Okay Thanks." Dan replied

Sandy then turned and left.

"Well, I guess I better get back to work." I said and turned and left the
kitchen.

I went back into the dining area and began to take peoples orders.

****NOON****

It was about 12 o'clock when I saw him come in. It was David. I went up to
him smiling.

"Table for one?" I asked playfully

He smiled as he came up to me.

"Yea. I heard there was this cute waiter who worked here." He said

"Did you now? Well why don't I get you a seat and maybe this cute waiter will
serve you." I replied

I showed him to a table and he sat down.

"Well, your server will be right with you." I said

"Great, thanks." He said then winked at me.  At least I think it was a wink,
unless his contact was bugging him again. "Oh just in case you were
wondering, that was a real wink." David said smiling.

I went over to Kevin, who was at the bar area.

"Hey Kevin." I said coming up to him.

"What?" He replied

"That cute guy I ran into on the street is here." I said smiling.

"Really? Where?" He asked

I pointed towards him.

"Wow, very nice." He said

"Yea, I think so." I said "Anyway I'm gunna go serve him."

"Are you sure he's into that sort of thing?" Kevin asked laughing.

"Cute." I replied.

I went back up to David and gave him a glass of water.

"Can I get you anything else to drink?" I asked

"No water is fine." He replied

"Okay, are you ready to order?" I asked

"Yea, I would like the ceasar salad and a date tonight." He said

I smiled at that last request.

"Any chance I can get a table for two tonight?" He asked

"There's every chance." I replied

"So 7 o'clock?" David asked

"Great, I'll just be getting off of work." I replied

"Good." He said "I'll pick you up and we'll have diner."

"Okay, I'll be waiting." I replied

I stood there smiling at him.

"But in the meantime I would like my ceasar salad." He said

"Oh yea! right, I'll be right back." I said then headed towards the kitchen
to give Dan the order.

As I entered the kitchen I saw Dan finishing up an order.

"Tell Kevin that the table 4's food is ready." Dan said

"Okay, sure right away. Here is the order for table 9." I said handing Dan
the order.

"Coming right up." He said

I turned to leave the kitchen but then..

"Hey Alex." Dan called out

I turned and looked at him.

"Yea?" I asked

He stood there silent for a moment.

"Never mind." He said

Then Kevin came into the kitchen.

"Oh good Kevin your here, table 4's food is ready." Dan said

"Oh, thanks Dan." Kevin said "So Alex, did the cute guy at table 9 ask you
out?"

I saw Dan quickly turn away.

"Yea, yea he did." I replied smiling, but feeling guilty in the inside.

"That's great. I have a date tonight too. Want to make it a double?" He asked

"Sure, sounds good to me." I said

"Great." Kevin said, he picked up the tray of food and walked out of the
kitchen.

"So you have a date tonight?" Dan asked

"Yea." I replied

"That's cool." Dan said as he was mixing up the salad for David.

I was looking at Dan then somthing came over me. Was I starting to get
feelings for him again? I slowly walked up to him, I turned him around and
then I started to kiss him, I felt his tongue slide into my mouth. My arms
were wrapped around him.

Then all of the sudden I was knocked back in to reality by the kitchen
door slamming into my back. I was back in reality. Dan was still about 10
feet away from me mixing up the salad and then the devil himself walked into
the kitchen, Mark.

"Oh hey Alex. Sorry I didn't see you there." Mark said

Mark, he may have had the exterior of a god on the outside, but he had the
interior of a beast. A beast that needed to be shot!

"Oh hi Mark." I replied

Mark went over to Dan.

"Hey babe." Mark said and gave Dan a kiss.

Mark was Dan's boyfriend. They've been together for about 6 months.

Dan finished up the salad for David and gave it to me.

"Well I'll leave you two alone." I said and headed out the kitchen.

I went over to David and gave him the salad.

"Oh hey David, my friend Kevin, he wanted to know if we would go on a double
date with him." I said

"That sounds fine with me." David replied

"Okay great." I replied.

I went over to Kevin.

"Well we're on for the double date tonight." I said

"Awesome. This guy I'm seeing tonight is so hot!" Kevin said "His name's
Randy."

"Well I guess we're all set for tonight then." I said

"Yea, we can all go bowling." Kevin said

"Sounds great." I replied

"Excuse me, can you two help us over here? We've been waiting for our food
for a half an hour." some old cranky guy yelled to us.

I looked over on the bar counter and saw a knife. I could see it now. I was
decked out in an army fatigues and I picked up the knife and threw it at the
old guy. I hit him in the chest and a big sign flew up saying "SCORE!".

I was back in to reality and called back to the old man. "I'll go check and
see what's taking so long."

****DATE TIME****

Kevin and I just finished up our shifts for the evening when Randy came by.
Kevin was right, Randy was pretty cute. 5'11 blonde hair, brown eyes, nice
body.

"Hey you." Kevin said going up to Randy.

"Hi." Randy replied

"Randy meet Alex. Alex this is Randy." Kevin said introducing us.

Randy and I shook hands.

"Nice to meet you. I don't know what could be taking David so long." I said

And as if right on cue, David showed up.

"Hey Alex." David said coming up to me.

Then David looked over at Randy.

"You." David and Randy said at the same time pointing at each other.

"You two know each other?" Kevin asked

"We used to date." David said

"Oh." Kevin and I said at the same time.

"We more than dated. We lived together for about 4 years." Randy said

"Oh." Kevin and I said at the same time again.

"Yea, but then one day I walked in on him cheating on me." David said

"Ouch." Kevin and I said at the same time again.

"Yea, when he came into the bedroom me and that guy were in, he was all over
some other guy." Randy said

"Ouch." Kevin and I said at the same time.

"You know what maybe we shouldn't do this double date thing." I said

"No it's fine." David said objecting.

"Okay, then let's go." Kevin said

We all headed to the bowling alley. None of us talked. This was going to be a
fun date.

We got to the bowling alley and went to our lanes.

David started punching in the names on the computer. Kevin's name was first,
then my name, then David, then Randy.

"Why is my name last?" Randy asked

"Because I put you last." David retorted.

"Why can't you be last?" Randy asked

"Becuase I don't want to be last." David said

"Okay guys, let's just bowl." I said coming in between them.

Kevin went up first and got a strike.

"Great job Kevin." I said giving him a high five.

"Good job Kevin." David said

"Awesome." Randy said giving Kevin a little hug.

I went up next and got a strike also.

"Very good Alex." David said.

"Yea, good job." Randy said

Kevin gave me a high five.

Then David went up and got a strike as well.

"Very nice." I said

"Yea, awesome." Kevin said

Randy and David then just glared at each other.

Then Randy went up. He was about to throw the ball then..

"Don't mess up." David said right as Randy was about to throw the ball. Randy
messed up and threw the ball in the gutter.

"I told you not to mess up." David said

"Hey you want to start somthing?" Randy asked

"Hey, hey hey! Guys! Chill!" Kevin said coming between them.

Was the rest of the date going to be like this? Kevin and I looked at each
other and gave each other a look that said "this is getting rediculous".

After we finished bowling we headed outside.

"I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back." I said

"Yea, I'll go with you Alex." Kevin said

Randy and David went outside glarring at each other.

When Kevin and I went into the bathroom we were pissed.

"It is like taking care of children." I said

"I know what you mean." Kevin said "They wouldn't stop fighting!"

"Well I'm glad this date is almost over. Those two can't be in the same room
with each other. Next time, we are going on separate dates." I said

Kevin and I went back outside but didn't see David or Randy anywhere.

"Where are they?" Kevin asked

"They're probably in an alley way fighting." I said

We walked to the side of the bowling alley. It was dark and quiet. We didn't
hear anyone. But then we saw it.

"Oh my God!" I said out loud.

"What the hell is going on here?" Kevin asked

Randy and David were kissing. They looked up at us.

"Oh hi." David said.

"Yea, come on let's go Kevin." I said and we turned and left.

****CONCLUSION****

We went back to Daniel's it was closed, but I had a key so we went in and got
ourselves a drink.

"Well that totally sucked." Kevin said handing me a drink.

"Gee, you think?" I asked

We took a sip of our drinks.

"Randy's scum." Kevin said

"So's David." I added in.

"Are you scum?" Kevin asked

"No I'm not scum." I replied smiling.

We both started laughing a little.

Then we heard the kitchen door open. Dan came out.

"I thought I heard people out here. What are you two doing here? Don't you
guys have dates?" Dan asked

"Yea, it didn't go too well." I said

"How so?" Dan asked

"Well our dates decided to go back and date each other." Kevin said

"Oh sorry about that." Dan said

"Well it's late, I'm tired. I'm going home." Kevin said

"'Night Kevin." I said

"See ya tomorrow Kev." Dan called out.

"Good night." Kevin called back then left.

"Want to sit down and have a drink with me?" I asked

"Sure, I'll have a-" Dan began but I cut him off.

"Scotch on the rocks with a twist." I said "Yea, I know. I remember." I fixed
up his drink and gave it to him.

"Sorry about your date." Dan said

"That's okay." I replied

Dan then took a sip from his drink and looked at me.

"You'll find someone." Dan said looking at me sympathetically

I let out a sigh.

"It's so hard. I mean, why can't I find someone like yo-" I began but before
I told Dan I wanted to find someone like him I changed my sentence a little.
"Why can't I find someone funny, smart, good personality, and handsome?"

"That's a pretty big request." Dan said

"Yea, well I'm gunna find that person if it kills me." I said

"Well you will. You never know, the right person for you may be right in
front of you." Dan said and took a sip of his drink

"Yea, right in front of me." I said looking into Dan's eyes.

 We then starred at each other for a little bit.

"Well I better get going. It's my 6th month anniversary with Mark tonight. He
had somthing special planned." Dan said getting up.

Dan headed towards the door and looked at me.

"You'll find someone." Dan said

I smiled.

"I know." I replied

I walked over to the door towards Dan.

"Thanks." I said

"Sure. Just remember I'm still here for you." Dan said

"I will." I replied

Dan opened the door and left and I stood in the doorway watching him leave.

I don't know if I'll ever find the right guy for me, but hey, while I'm
alive I might as well start looking...

Then I closed the door...
