			 A Special Place--Epilogue

Try as I may, I could not get the characters from A Special Place to
quietly fade into the sunset. They insisted their life wasn't over and
their adventures continued after the end of A Special Place. After
wrestling with exactly how their further adventures would be told--and many
false starts--the story goes on.

Trying to tell the stories of those at Oberlin in Ohio and those left
behind in Concord as a single story just would not work. Two closely
integrated stories were equally impossible. Instead of writing, I found
myself trying to keep trace of events on a calendar.

Finally, it became clear that if the story was to continue, it would have
to focus on one group or the other, which of course, left one group angry
because their story was going untold. The solution proved to be two
separate stories with very little reference to the other except when the
two groups become involved in a single event or share information.

Accordingly, beginning with this posting, there will be postings of the
story on alternate weeks, beginning with ASP--The Oberlin Five. It will be
posted in the College section of Nifty. ASP--The Concord Five posted, to be
posted next week, will, as the original story, be posted in the High School
section. The stories will also be posted to http://go.to/gaywritersguild
. I hope you find and enjoy the stories.

Whether you do or do not enjoy the new additions, write sequoyah at
