"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN HERE." I sat surprised. " WHAT THE HELL DO
YOU THINK YOUR DOING SLEEPING WITH CORY." The man asked. "Cory asked me to
hold him cause he was scared what difference does it make" I asked the
strange man. "You fucking faggot" he snarled at me before he slapped me.
"GET OUT NOW!!" he yelled.

I ran out of the room in tears, I wasn't looking where I was going and ran
into Cory's Mom. "Alex what's wrong" she asked lifting my chin so she could
see my face "OH MY GOD Alex who did this to you" I didn't say anything.
"Alex please tell me" "GET THE HELL OUT NOW!!!" I heard someone scream. My
head snapped towards Cory's room "Why you little bastard" I heard the guy
yell. I bolted towards Cory's room with his Mom right behind me. I swung
the door open in time to see the man punch Cory in the face.  I ran over to
the guy and kicked him in the balls, he went down like a ton of bricks
"Never, ever hit Cory again" I screamed at him. "What do you think your
doing Mark" Cory's mom asked. " that faggot was sleeping with your son" he
said pointing to me. "Yeah so Cory was scared and needed someone to hold
him to help him feel safe" she said. "Mom I want him out of here now
please" Cory said crying. His nose was bleeding and his lip was cut. "Mark
get the hell out now" she said firmly. Mark got up and walked out the door
but not before giving me a hateful glare "oh Mark you touch Cory again I'll
make it so you can't even move your arms" I threatened him as he was
leaving. I went to the bathroom to get a face cloth and came back and
started to clean Cory's face up. "Cory are you ok" his mom asked.  "Yeah
mom I'm alright just a bit upset. But mom I need to tell you something
important." I got up "I'll you two alone to talk" I headed to the door
"Alex stop I want to hear this" Cory said from the bed.

I walked over to the bed and continued to hold the cloth to his nose.
"What is it Cory" his mom asked. "You should sit down" his mom sat in the
chair "Mom I'm gay." His Mom just sat there "Mom please say something. She
got up " I need to think" she said as she left. Cory broke down crying I
wrapped my arms around him, he clung to me as if I was leaving "it'll be ok
Cory I'm here we will get through this together I promise I'm not gonna
leave you" I said crying as well.

 Suddenly the door opened and my mom came in the room "what happened" "Cory
just told his mom he was gay" I told her. I what happened to my face and
Cory's nose, she hugged us both and told Cory that she would talk to his
mom. She got up and walked towards the door "Mom" "yes Alex" " I need to
tell you something else" she sat back down in the chair " Mom I'm gay" I
said starting to cry again. My mom ran over to me and hugged me "it's ok
Alex I'm glad you told me" she said rubbing my back. "There's more mom" "go
on then Alex" I let go and went back to Cory who looked like he was scared
to death. "I'm in love with Cory mom" I said hugging Cory. "Cory are you in
love with Alex" my mom asked him. He nodded. "ok the that's settled I'm
glad you both are comfortable telling me this" she said hugging us both. "
I'm gonna go talk with your mom now ok Cory" she asked. He nodded.

Just as the door closed Cory broke down crying again. I held him and tried
to comfort him "what's wrong Cory" I whispered.  "What if my parents kick
me out, where will I go" he said. "If that happens and I don't think it
will then you can live with us" said rubbing his back.  "What would your
mom say" "after what you have been through I think she would love to have
you live with us" I told him.

 I pulled Cory closer to me and kissed him lightly on the lips. Cory kissed
me back and we fell back on the bed and fell asleep together. I woke up to
the door opening and saw Cory's father coming in I got scared "Alex don't
worry I'm not gonna yell or hurt you or Cory I have suspected that Cory was
Gay a few years ago but never said anything I wanted him to come to me with
it, I heard about earlier and I want to say I'm sorry. Mark will be dealt
with and my wife, well she will get used to it.' he said. Cory woke up
minutes later and got a scared look on his face. "Cory calm down I know
that your gay I have suspected for a while and it doesn't matter your my
son and I love you" he said.  Cory hugged his dad "thanks dad I'm sorry I
didn't tell you." Cory said.  The door opened and my mom walked in with a
not too good look. " Mom what wrong" I asked. " I just finished talking to
your mom Cory" she said. "What did she say" Cory asked. "Well she is not
too keen on the idea of her only son being gay" she said. "Mr. Simmons can
I speak with you out side for a moment please." my Mom asked. "Sure" he
said getting up. They walked out the door and we just sat there neither of
us saying anything.

 They walked back in a few minutes later. "Cory Alex's mom and I decided
that it would be better if you spent a few days at their house so I can
talk with your mom" he said. " Mom doesn't want me anymore does she" Cory
said crying. " no it's not that Cory she is just surprised and needs time
to adjust ok" his dad said grabbing him into a hug. "Ok dad if you say so"
Cory said.

The doctors released Cory that afternoon and my mom stopped by his house to
get his things. I helped him and as we were leaving he started crying. I
set the things I was carrying down and hugged him " It's ok Cory I'm here
for you" I said to him. "Thanks Alex I really need that" Cory said hugging
me tightly. We headed back to the car and loaded Cory's stuff in it. We
drove to my house and took his stuff to my room. "Alex, Cory dinner's
ready" my mom yelled to us. We headed downstairs and sat at the
table. "Chase I want you to meet Cory he will be staying with us for
awhile" Mom told him. He stuck his hand out and said "nice to meet you
Cory" Cory shook his hand and said the same to Chase.

We ate dinner and then Mom said she was going to the store for a minute.
"Alex mom told me why Cory is staying here and I wanted to let you know
that I'm here for you two if you need someone to talk to" Chase said.
"Thanks bro that means a lot to me." I said. "ALEX WE HAVE A SMALL PROBLEM
UP HERE" Cory yelled from my room. I bolted up the stairs to my room and
noticed that he was standing in the middle of my room. "What's wrong Cory"
I asked. "I was just wondering where I was gonna sleep" he said. I laughed
"your gonna sleep with me silly" I said.  "Even better, I was hoping for
that cause I don't think I'd get much sleep sleeping alone" he said
sadly. I walked up to him and hugged him "mom told Chase why your here so
in this house we can be ourselves, he just told me that he is here if we
need to talk" I said. "Finally no more hiding" Cory sighed. We went down
the stairs holding hands and sat on the couch watching TV with Chase and
Mom.

`Knock Knock' "I'll get it mom" I said getting up. I opened the door and
there stood Josh. "Come on in Josh" I said. Josh walked in and noticed the
bruise on my face. "What happened to you Alex" Josh asked.  `Well Cory's
uncle didn't like the idea that him and I are both gay" I said. "Your
what?" asked Josh. "I'm gay Josh, you can either accept it or leave it's up
to you" I said. "I'm ok with it Alex I was just surprised that you said it
so calmly" he said. "Well come in then we are watching TV" I said. I walked
into the living room with Josh behind me I sat next to Cory and hugged
him. "He knows Cory and he ok with it" I whispered.  Cory just smiled and
kissed me lightly. "Awww look at the love birds" Chase said. I gave him the
finger and mom laughed at us.

Josh left about an hour later. Mom went to bed cause she had to get up
early. "Well you two love birds I'm going to bed" Chase said.  "Ok bro
don't wear out your right hand" I said laughing. "Smartass" Chase said
before heading up the stairs. Cory and I got more comfortable and watched
TV for a while longer then I got up. I held my hand to him and when he
grabbed it him pulled him off the couch, we headed up to our room and
stripped down to our boxers and climbed into bed we were about to go to
sleep when Cory rolled onto me and kissed me, I kissed back and allowed his
tongue to enter my mouth, we kissed for what seemed like forever then we
fell asleep in each others arms.

"I said I knew you were fags and for that you shall die" Mark said standing
over the two boys sleeping. He had climbed in the window on the first floor
and crept up the stairs. He had taken a knife from the kitchen but also
carried a gun. I woke up to someone crying loudly. I sat up and saw Mark
holding the knife above Cory. "What the fuck" I said. "You shut the hell up
your next" Mark said hatefully. I could feel my anger quickly rising. I got
out of my bed and walked towards Mark. Mark dropped Cory and turned towards
me. I balled my fists up. "What are you going to hit me to death" Mark said
as he slapped me across the face. I fell to the floor and Mark returned to
hitting Cory. I was furious I jumped up and grabbed his wrist before he
could hit him again. I squeezed and could hear the bone breaking in his
arm. "I told you Mark that if you ever hit him again you would never be
able to use your arm again" I said. Mark looked at me and suddenly got a
scared look on his face. "Your eyes, your possessed" Mark screamed. I let
go of him and held my arms out towards him he lifted off the ground and was
suspended in midair "Alex help me please" Cory mumbled.  I ran to help Cory
but not before making sure Mark was immobile "Cory what's wrong" I asked
worriedly. "I can't move my leg I think it's broken" Cory said crying. I
stood up and walked towards Mark I picked him up and threw him against the
wall.

"What the hell is going on in here" Mom yelled running to my room. When she
saw Mark she got really mad. "Alex Call the Cops I think he has had enough
for one day" She said. I dialed the cops and told them what happened. They
arrived 10 minutes later. The cops asked us some questions then left the
ambulance took Cory to the hospital for his broken leg. Mom drove me to the
hospital and as soon as she stopped the car I was out and running towards
the door. I ran to the front desk and asked to see Cory.  " I'm sorry but
he was brought in and rushed into surgery" the lady told me. "What, what's
wrong with him" I asked. " he had internal bleeding, and a broken leg, I'll
let you know when you can see him ok"she said. I nodded and went to find a
chair to sit in.

An hour later a doctor walked towards us. "Are you here with Cory Simmons"
he asked. I jumped to my feet "how is he" I asked. "Well he is doing good
except for one thing" the doctor said. " what" I asked.  "He slipped into a
coma, he had swelling around his brain, we figure the guy who beat him hit
him in the head a lot, we got the swelling down" the doctor replied. "Can I
see him please" I pleaded. " sure follow me please" he answered. I followed
the doctor down the hall. He stopped in front of a door "you can go in but
just remember that he is in a coma so he can't respond." the doctor said.

I entered the room to see Cory on the bed he had a bandage around his head
the walked up to him and touched his hand. " Cory I don't know if you can
hear me, it's funny that ever since I met you have ended up in the
hospital. I need you Cory your the best thing to ever happen to me. There
is so much I need to tell you" I said with tears rolling down my face. I
felt Cory's hand squeeze mine. I completely forgot about my healing
abilities since I never had to use them. "Cory can you hear me" I asked.
"Yes Alex I can I heard every word you said, it felt as if you were inside
my head saying it but Alex can I ask you a question please" he said. "Sure
Cory" I said smiling at him. "How did you do that stuff to Mark" hr
asked. I started crying and Cory pulled me into a hug "It's ok Alex" he
whispered in my ear. "Cory what I'm about to tell you has never been told
to anyone but my family" I said, he nodded. "Well when I was about 6 years
old I knew I was different I was able to move things with my mind I was
also able to heal my cuts without much thoughts I hid my abilities and only
used them when I need to like last night" I said. Cory sat there listening
to me. "There is no explanation as to why I have these abilities but my Mom
knows and so does Chase they have accepted it. If I have to use my
abilities I do it so people think I'm strong or fast.  But last night I got
out of control I never would have flung Mark against a wall but I saw him
hit you and I couldn't take it" I said crying again.

Cory hugged me again and kissed me lightly on the lips. My mom ran into the
room " Alex I think you see this" she said as she turned on the TV and
switched on the news. It showed a very bad accident and the reporter
started speaking "this horrible accident happened about an hour ago after
police tried to recapture a prisoner that escaped custody after besting two
15 year old boys The suspect ran a red light and hit a car that carried a
woman and a young 15 year old boy." the reporter said.  "Mom what's this
about' I asked. "Alex, Josh was in that car with his mom they were going to
get some movies his dad just phoned to tell me about it they are operating
on him now" Mom said with tear in her eyes.

I burst out in tears thinking that I was gonna lose my best friend.  Cory
wrapped his arms around me and cried with me. My mom rubbed my back I
calmed down and looked at my mom "can I see him please?" I asked. "I'll go
find a doctor and find out ok" I replied. I nodded. "Alex what are you
going to do" asked Cory. "I can't let him die Cory I have to do something
even if it means people finding out my abilities" I said. "Ok Alex I'm here
for you" Cory said.

My mom came back and said I could see Josh I asked Cory if he wanted to
come and see him too. He nodded and we got him in a wheel chair.  When we
got to his room I stopped and Cory took my hand in his. I entered the room
behind Cory and saw Josh with tubes everywhere. I walked up beside him and
sat in the chair I took his hand and said a prayer to him while I was
trying to heal his injuries so they weren't life threatening so no one
would suspect anything. I got up and left the room with Cory right behind
me.
