Aim and Shoot

Hey if you got a sec, I would like to tell you about my day. . Oh sorry,
my name is Seth and I am 15 year old, and the last time I went to school I
was in the 10 grade, Okay, just kidding, I go to school everyday, actually
I kinda like school. I am really pumped up today. Why? The parade is
coming to our town this year. Hey, wait, don't laugh, the parade is a big
deal around here. I live in Greenbrier, West Virginia. We have five towns
in the school district in Summers County and about 5 years ago the local
politicians all got together and decided why not have one really "big"
parade instead of five smaller ones. Well the first one turned out so good
a new holiday tradition was born. The big parade is held on the second
Saturday after Thanksgiving and I am just so pumped up that it will be in
our town this year. You may not know too much about small town West
Virginia life, but there is not a lot to do in the winter time if you don't
follow high school sports. A parade is a big deal here.

I play basketball on the varsity team but I am not a starter, I am still
waiting for that long awaited growth spurt, but I am good enough to be on
the team. Forget the trendy sports camps; we just learn how to play
basketball in the drive way and pick up games over at the park.

When I am sitting on the bench I do get a lot of non playing action. Let
me explain. You see I love to people watch, well that is when coach is not
looking at me, and that really doesn't happen too often. Of course we play
the other small high school teams in each of those towns. Oh sorry, did I
mention just how small these towns are? Each of them only has enough kids
for one high school. Each school has 100-300 kids in grades 9-12. Well I
am getting a bit ahead in my story.

The parade I mention is a big deal for me. I love parades, recall I like
to people watch and well parades are the place to be, to do extreme people
watching. The little towns in these parts go all out and actually do a
pretty decent job of putting on the parade. Just about everybody come to
watch and business is booming the same afternoon. Yeah, a big deal for
sure. The towns take turn hosting each year. Last year it was held over in
Bluestone. Now the band directors get together and coordinate the music
that all the bands will be playing. By the time the parade is held each of
the small bands has had several months to practice the music and the five
bands are combined for one large band. The combined band does a pretty good
job too. It is very colorful seeing five different sets of uniforms in one
combined band. I kinda have a thing for uniforms too.

They also show case smaller groups as well. The "big" combined band
marches first, and then the smaller groups break away and slip around to
the back of the parade and march a second time. A parade would not be
complete without lots of noise from the fire engines and police cars. So
lots of uniforms all over the place. Yeah dudes in uniforms. Marine
uniforms are the best, but they never come here, damn.

Each school provides at least one float and and local businesses also
provide some as well. The banks usually have the best floats, but I guess
they should since they have all that money. Parades need clowns and we get
some of them too, quite often the local principals and coaches will ham it
up, and all of it is in good fun. The local organizations love to be in
the parade too. Passing in review are the girl scouts, boys scouts, cub
shouts, 4 H, the civic clubs, and the big wind bag politicians. Hell they
want votes and need to be seen I guess.

Last year Mom and I were at the parade and I had a front row "seat". Well
not really, no chairs there, just a front row standing position. Just
after the new Para medic unit came by from Talloks I spotted the combined
county Boy Scout unit. They look awesome in their uniforms. Too bad it
was getting cold, they didn't have shorts on. I enjoy looking at dudes
wearing shorts a lot. I wished I had gone into scouting, and I think I
have nice legs for scout shorts. I wear sport shorts at home all year
round, yeah I love shorts, and lately I have been thinking a lot about
other dudes and how they look in shorts too. My legs are still really
really smooth, just a wisp of hair on my calves.

Well I had Mom's digital camera with me at the parade last year, and I was
taking pictures like crazy. Did I mention I love a parade? Sorry guess I
did. I have been getting more into photography to the last year or so. The
parade usually takes about 45 minutes and is followed by a big combined
community picnic. It turns out to be like a carnival thing without the
rides. It is just fun plain and simple.

Later that evening I was checking out the pictures I had taken. I was quite
pleased with my new hobby of sorts. I caught my principal in a crazy shot
of him attempting a cartwheel. Actually he did pretty good, considering he
had on those baggy clown pants and almost tripped over his big shoes and
almost fell on his ass. I submitted that picture to the year book and they
actually used it last year. Whoa, I made the year book, well not for my
sitting on the bench during basketball, but for that funny cart wheel
picture. Anyway as I continued to edit and enhance my pictures that
evening I spotted something I missed when the scouts came by in real time.
There was a boy scout in the second row in the middle, and he looked
directly at my camera and smiled. Damn, he was so perfect.

OK guess you know now I am having these new boy watching feelings. Seems
as if my people watching may be taking a new direction. I have found
myself looking more and more at guys my age recently. However I am not
concerned about it, just kinda feels natural if you know what I mean. I am
not stressed over it at all, just going with the flow, and it feels kinda
good. So now I had this picture of this perfect boy and had no clue as to
which town he was from. I was sure he did not go to my school, so I
started making an extra effort to look for him in the bleachers when we
played the other schools. No luck, damn.

He was a bit taller than me. I am 5' 5'' and weigh 130 lbs. He was maybe
5"8'' and around 120. However in a crowd of boys in uniform I may have
been mistaken. Now his wavy blond hair and cute turned up nose, and great
smile it was what I was going to remember. The picture did not show any
unusual blemishes on his sweet face. Oh my did I just say "sweet!" He was
just such a mystery to me, as his eyes seem to penetrate my camera lens.
He looked really good in his uniform too. I wanted to kick myself for not
noticing him up close and personal. I don't recall seeing him at the
picnic that followed the parade either, but I figure he was among the free
pop and hotdogs somewhere that day last year. I guess it is not unusual I
did not see him since I was not even aware of him until I saw that
picture. at home. Gee that image was soon burned into my mind for a whole
year.

So I said this year "Seth you gotta find that uniform boy."

So anyway, I looked and looked for him at the games the rest of the
basketball season last year and never spotted my mystery scout again.

Guess what? Oh sorry I already told you. It is the day of our annual
Holiday parade, and today it will be right in my town. Mom got me my own
camera last Christmas and I made sure my battery pack is charged up and
ready to go. I know I sure am. I am oh so much pumped up in hoping to
spot that cute "boy scout" again.

Well the parade format doesn't change too much from year to year. You
gotta know this just ain't the big Macy parade in the Big Apple. The
scouts came by but to my dismay my mystery boy was not among them. Damn,
where did he go? Did he quit the scouts? Did he move away? Gee why would
he do that, he looked so good in that uniform. Now you gotta know this was
a full uniform too. Very traditional, no jeans, all regulation, regulation
shirts all tucked in, dress shoes topped off with a scarf, even a hat.
Unfortunately the picture I had taken last year did not clearly show his
troop number on his sleeve. . I gotta tell you I was getting a bit down
when I did not see him again.

It had been a whole year since I saw him. I mean I looked everywhere, I
was always looking at Kroger's, K Mart, the most wanted posters at the post
office, you name it.

As the parade continued I could see the end in sight. As with most
community holiday parades, Santa is last. Got to have Santa in the rear
you know, with some candy for the kiddies. Santa usually rides on top of
the hosting town's newest fire engine this year it was different. . Well
this year there was a bit of a change. He was all decked out in red, on a
float provided from the new Motel Six. On the float were some elves with
the candy buckets. My fun loving, wacko, good sport, somewhat nerdy
principal was the big goofy elf in the middle. I think Santa needs to get
him a membership over at the health club this year, but we don't have one.
There were other elves on the float with him too. Younger elves. I guess
maybe 6 or so boys elves. Holy shit, there he was, my mystery Boy Scout
had become an elf! I am so glad that my camera had a strap attached when I
dropped it. He looked so cute in green. He was so hot. My dick jumped. I
was wearing a long coat, so no one noticed, but I felt it. I could not
believe how cute he was in those green tights and short shorts that clung
so nicely to his slender legs. His tight green shorts fit so perfect around
his boy parts too. His leg definition was accented just right, and I
noticed his thighs and calves were actually as beautiful as girls. Like
me, I don't think he had really grown in a year, but you know what? He
looked directly into my eyes and smiled again, and I thought I saw a small
wink from his left eye to, then he shyly looked away. . There I stood with
my camera down and my mouth open. The float passed by, I composed myself,
raised my camera, zoomed in and damn if he didn't look over his shoulder at
me and smile shyly again. I previewed the pic right away and was pleased
to see a small stud in his left ear, oh yeah he has an earring now. I
found him, and this time I was not going to lose him for another year. I
had to go get a pop and hotdog and then have that elf for Christmas.
